is this every males future????
Post the longer version.
I mean probably a large amount of those who get married do end up like this. Surely though there are some who manage to keep it going? or what if you just don't get married but stay in a relationship? does it apply then?

The point of failure in marriage is having kids. Let's look over the reasons to stay in a marriage:
1. social pressure
2. love of partner
3. having children
1 is dead since the 60s or 70s outside of extremely religious small towns. 3 used to be pretty valid but has lost so much power over time as children of divorce have become normalized. People no longer fear that it will fuck up their kids. So the only thing to hold a marriage together is 2, love of spouse.
But what happens when you have kids? No more dates, no more sex, no more money, no more getting a restful night's sleep. No more sleeping in and cuddling together, no more going out for brunch, no more dropping everything on a Saturday to go for a hike or take a drive in the country. Kids kids kids, they come first and need you 24/7. The bond of love to your spouse is replaced by that of your kids. But since kids are no longer a compelling reason to stay together, the marriage ends in the absence of love.

Marriage is obsolete
Na senpai. I'm gonna drink smoke and gamble myself to an early grave and never have to deal with it.
