they sure do. I could never sleep normally. I take 0.5 mgs of xanax every night and it works wonders.
the problem is that I also have an addictive personality and sometimes go on binges.
but if you can control yourself it is the gift of the gods. I know plenty of people who have been taking it for years without getting addicted.

It doesn't just have to be depression, but other mental illnesses aswell.
It won't hurt to just go see a psychologist. If you are browsing /r9k/ and spend 14h a day in bed it's not unlikely that you do have _some_ issue.

it's more like a short term solution. it is kind of addictive if you up the dose. going to sleep without it would be very hard if you took it for a long time. kind of like alcohol. some people can drink in moderation for their whole life, others lose their shit in months.
but it enables me to function like a normal human being without wanting to kill myself. I've had so many sleepless nights because of my malfunctioning brain.

posting on /r9k/ or the internet in general will not help you. just go see a professional and sort it out before it fucks with your life too much. sleep is important, but just as too little sleep can hurt you so can too much.

Could be sleep apnoea. Go see a sleep specialist or ask your doctor about it.
