Pic related, contract me and my older brother signed when we were little kids. Basically we weren't being obedient enough and the beatings weren't working so they decided to take away our schedules that told us what to do every day so we'd have nothing to do and cancel our little brother's birthday party to make us feel bad since nothing else was working.
Anyone else have any similar experiences? Am I just crazy or is this not normal parenting?
That's sad. Your parents are failures and they shouldn't have had you in the first place.
My parents were the opposite.
Do whatever makes you happy anon!
Playing vidya made me happy so thats all I did and now I'm a NEET.
I remember signing a contract about my weekly chores, but it was exciting to sign a piece of paper with my name because I was a kid.
Pretty sure it was my parents basically ever so slightly preparing me for the real world of signing contracts and not breaking them otherwise you're fucked.
>cancel our little brother's birthday party to make us feel bad
That's so bizarre and viciously manipulative. No wonder you turned out a robot fuck up.

No, but my dad came to class with me once when I was in 7th grade.
Thanks, dad, that sure didn't cement my autistic beta-ness in school.

This except I am absolutely not resentful for it and glad it was this way
I do wish my mom would worry a little bit less about me but having someone actually give a shit about your welfare is pretty sweet so I can't complain

No. My mom just hit me if I acted out. I hated her, but it did work. I was the perfect kid, until she divorced my dad and 180'd on everything, when I was 12. Now, the guilt and other such nonsense comes out, and you just consider them a weak incompetent.
Redpill: You would have been a happy, successful person if you followed the rules of that contract in life.

>obey
Jeez, what a harsh word. Your parents are dicks.
