It brought me out of depression. I overhead a conversation in my wageslave job between two coworkers. One of them was on his phone and randomly laughing, then the other one approached him and asked him what was it that made him laugh constantly.
"It's called anime my friend" to which the other one answered in a degrading tone: "Cartoons are for kids dude, if you wanna have fun, you go out and get drunk!"
Then the weaboo shook his head and said that it helped him get going through the day, and that was what mattered.
The next day I started digging through anime stuff on the internet and started watching SOL stuff. Since that day. I have never felt depressed and even got a waifu. NHK made me go back to school and now I'm an RN, got my own place and am happier than ever.
