I know what you mean. I wish that there was a goal or some sort of overall effort that is our there that I could join and make a difference. Unfortunately none exists. Example, maybe aliens take over the planet and I am part of the resistance force or something similar.

I prefer to day dream about being one of the few that's immune to a virus that wipes out most of the world.

This is why people love all sorts of post-apocalyptic fiction. I used to sneak into this big abandoned insane asylum complex near where I lived with my friends and it was always amazing
