>dont rise during the national anthem
who /trigger normies/ here?
I'd do that during the pledge of allegiance from grades 7-9. then eventually I decided "hey, it's not much to ask". I don't care if I'm part of the sheeple now, feelsgood to honor your country in some way even if it doesn't matter.
Just come to Germany, nobody rises durning the anthem here.
During my final year of high school i had homeroom in the art room. Teacher would get immensely assblasted by me not standing for the pledge. Never understood why, something to do with respect for our troops which is odd because I'm pretty sure our troops couldn't give a fuck if some kids stand in front of a flag

Thats a bad thing you guys are cucked beyond repair
>tell people I don't vote
>they get immensely butthurt
>national anthem time
>"please stand for the national anthem"
>stand proudly and sing in my loudest voice
>"AUFESTANDEN AUS RUIENEN"
>"UND DER ZUKUNFT ZUGEWANDT..."
>people look at me with confusion

Why? What country are you from? Most people in my country have lost all hope that the government can accomplish anything, so they don't bother. It's all the same shit.

There are good reasons not to vote. Politics is very polarized and nasty these days. If you take a side, you're going to alienate everyone on the other side. Staying out of it just makes them all mad at you, though.
I can do that one better, though. I voted for Nader. My state went blue regardless, so it's not my fault Bush "won", but it can still make people foam at the mouth.

Change starts at a local level.
Try getting involved in local politics.
>be me
>at sporting event
>national anthem plays
>grab my nuts instead of my heart
I was a very edgy 13 year old

I don't give a flying fuck. I still do it though. I love my country (u.s.) but our government is fucked just like any other country. So i see why people wouldn't stand as aform of protest or a nice middle finger to social norms/expectations.
