Blade Runner is the best movie evar and one of the few cases

It isn't all that great...excellent iconic sets and style, but "story" is sort of dull and not well executed. Too long also.

Not bad but overrated.

Quite the opposite!
That's one of the strenghts of the movie: the replicants simply want to live longer. Sometimes less is more.

I just finished the game "Technobabylon" - rather complicated story, ethics-technology etc, and like always (with sci-fi/cyberpunk/tech-vs-ethics) it didn't work out.

The simple story of Blade Runner (replicants wanting to live longer) is one of its strengths!

It's strongly implied and the director states it's his belief that he is, but strictly speaking the question is left ambiguous.

It's true.

The book had some humoristic, ironic elements.
But the movie is very melancholic. It's suicide-tier.
Much better than the book.
