Shit, there's this one guy who tried to live in the forest without having any experience and he died within a month or so. Can't remember his name but it was a well known case.

Cities are much better. Theres food and places to sleep around.

If going homeless, always look for a nearby church to sneak into, whether it be from the back or not for sleeping grounds, its not much but its enough to keep you from freezing outside. Sometimes they'll willingly let you in at night but it gets into their morals and shows hypocrisy if they try to shoo you out while you're at a low, so its a mostly win-win situation.
