The universe probably exists with an antimatter equivalent. Happening doesnt happen outside of time so the universe is eternal whether it has a beginning and end or one or neither of those things. A multiverse or metaverse just makes it more complicated, but god is not necessary, and the only thing you should even be able to call god is the universe itself for theres is no proof of what is beyond it if there even is a beyond it.

Why does there have to be "someone" who created life?

It's baffling to me that there really are people who are so arrogant as to think that a person, a human-like being created existence, because they can't wrap their head around the idea that maybe humans really aren't all that important and we don't all have some grand purpose in existing, we just exist.
