if we're assuming that food is just as addictive as drugs and alcohol, then these numbers should be applicable to "relapsing" with food too. eating also doesnt have the same stigma attached to it as drug and alcohol abuse, which i believe would make relapse easier. fat people are gross and inferior, but i dont need to claim they completely lack self control to rationalize it because they are fat and nobody cares if i think theyre gross and inferior anyway. the point is that you arent smart and even if you were it youre still susceptible to addiction
