Seems to me having all these talented people cucked by chads is a great shame.

Thoughts?

Why would that be a shame?

The world needs people who actively do shit and live within a society, not pseudo-philosophers who isolate themselves from the rest of humanity and stay passive for all their lives. No female wants to get those genes, which is only natural.

I personally find great joy in humanistic studies and art anon. I often read philosophers, go to museums, art expositions and theatre. I'm actaully in a process of writing a paper about Der Steppenwolf and how it's a great presentation of XXth century bildungsroman like the works of Goethe or Dostoyevsky. Next up I have a work on Neo-platonic themes in Dante Alighieri's poetry. I think it's particularly interesting how he denouces Plato, presenting Aristotle as the father of all philosophy, yet at the same time you can clearly see platonic themes in his later works.

Shame girls don't find this interesting.

Wut? I'm half way through Inferno and not seeing it.

Aristotle is the father of philosophy despite Plato and some cynics doing more for it. Who was the cynic bordering on stoic who studied under Plato?

>Who was the cynic bordering on stoic who studied under Plato?

Well anon that's a bit broad explanation.

>Wut? I'm half way through Inferno and not seeing it.

Don't worry, inferno is actually the one where the platonic themes are least present. It starts to outline itself in purgatorio and most of it is in paradiso, especially where Dante's love for Beatrice evolved from the courtly tradition of Dolce Stil Nuovo towards platonic love, where his union with Beatrice is what allows him to ascend towards realm of forms, or haeven as we came to see it.

Also pay attention to what Vergilius tells Dante in canto X. He mentions how for his ascent to haeven it's neccessary for him to go through hell first. And while this is more of a result of Plato's influence on christian thought, you can clearly see the paralel, where a man who was stranded in a platonic cave had to make a slow ascent through all the tiers of enlightment, before he was able to contemplate the realm forms.

He claimed to be a cynic but didn't go down the cynic route, rather stayed in power. I've read it a week back and can't place it. Has like 11 works that survived in great condition, he noted a lot on early cynicism.

And cheers for the reply.
>>
>>25540203
I'd love to help you anon, but I have yet to study the works of cynics.

For all anons though, I strongly suggest to read through some XX century literature. Many of it is about men who are practically robots and get to change their lives through some miracle. If anything, at least it wil show you that robots are nothing new in the world and the division between robot/normie was always there.
>>
>>25540234
Any specific works? I've read a few of the intro stuff but I tend to jump from early to late philosophy.

Want to read up on Wittgenstein currently and I jump here and there with no reason.

Really need some guide or plan for this.
>>
Are there really people who'd rather bag on about literary criticism and philosophy instead of something interesting like physics?
>>
>>25540341

>>
>>25540286
I strongly suggest Dostoyevsky "Notes from Underground", this book becomes somewhat hilarious if you've been browsing /r9k/ before reading it and understand how you feel when you lose spaghetti in front of a girl. "Der Steppenwulf" is obvious choice, if only to be accustomed with such classic. There's also Faust, although it's not so much about robot, but more about a man who studied a lot and had great knowledge, but because of that he forgot to live his life, also "The Sorrows of Young Werther" if you're up for something depressing.

Anon physics, like philosophy, have nothing to offer towards the desires of "common man".

And while it could be very useful in the past, like in >>25540497 most people now have no use for physics in their life, as there are many conveniences for us today whcih make knowledge of physics useless.

Thing is anon, studying anything is not for "common man". You study for your own gain, to know something.

Yes, there are women that read the works of Plato, and Aristotle.
