What is this type of photography called?

I remember seeing a book of my old room mate's that had a collection of black and white hardcore bondage, which was basicaly non erotic. All of it was way more hardcore than pic included, but I saw this and it jogged my memory.

I'm not even sure if it has a definitive name..
