can anyone help put a face on a gif for me, or tell me how to do it??
>cut out the face you want to shop
>copy it
>open the gif in photoshop
>paste the face where it needs to go on every frame
i'll give it a shot and post results, thanks mate!
how do you advance the gif through each frame?
i use a program called EZ gif animator
egifan for short
it has a "copy to all frames feature" which makes it really simple
but first you'll need to photoshop your face, and save it as a transparent background png.
once you make yourface.png
you can import it into any gif you want

When you talk about a transparent background, do you just mean after i crop the image, delete the rest of the photo and save what i want with the checkerboard pattern behind it? and when i go to save and it asks if i want the png file interlaced or none, which do i choose? Thanks again for the help

I have CS3 btw

interlaced vs. non interlaced FYI
non interlaced writes the image lines sequentially 1,2,3,4
interlaced writes the image lines 1,3,5,7,9
and then goes back and fills in the even numbered lines.
when converted to gif, it becomes noninterlaced so it doesn't matter.
lasso the face you want, and copy to a new layer. hide the background layer
"save as" dropdown to png
non-interlaced
I use photoshop CS2

Is that you op? It's not bad for a first attempt. But you should probably start with regular faceswaps and learn to correct the light and colors, so the skin colors match.
Also you need to learn to track the head movement. Match the head on frame 1 then make a copy of the head layer. Then readjust the copied head layer on the next frame. Do it for every frame.
