You rolled a 2.
Well, your apartment is well stocked.
In your brief search, you find some food in the fridge, a load of clothing in the closet (which you might want to put on), and some miscellaneous items in your desk, including some paper, a pen, your knife, and cell phone.

You take your pen, knife, and cell phone.

You folks rolled a 2 and a 3.

You put on a grey tee shirt, some generic Target shades, underpants (heart patterned, of course), some well-worn jeans, and your backpack, tucked in the corner.

Peeking out of your window, the streets seem entirely empty. They're silent apart from the rustling wind, and cars are stalled in the middle of the road with no occupants.

You don't see any zombies, but your're on the top floor of the apartment complex, so maybe it's worth investigating.

You folks rolled two 5s.

Your apartment isn't that large. You're still in your bedroom, with the chest at your feet. The walls are a pleasant, if old, tan color, and your bed is made of some tan hard wood. Your desk drawer is still open, with just some paper inside after taking its contents. The door to the rest of your apartment is closed, as are your windows, though the blinds are up.

You decide to head down to the garage to see what's up. The elevator doesn't work, so you take the stairs two at a time, beginning to get alarmed[/red.]

Your car is untouched, and it's in working order. The streets, even from ground level, are empty.

You're starting to get hungry. Maybe you should go back to your room and eat, or find something in the city.

You rolled a 5[/green.]

Green will indicate explored areas, red the current location. You clear the small city, and make it to a winding series of country roads, with cars becoming increasingly sparse. Also corn. Lots of it, everywhere.

The radio buzzes to life, mostly static on every channel. Every now and then, though, you pick up bursts of voice.

We- inf- crisis- don't leave your- he- p.
You hazard a guess, saying there's an infection crisis and you're not advised to leave your home. Well, screw that, you're on the road and armed.

What do? You're scared.

You steady yourself, finding some strength in the equalizing factor of the rifle.

THE FIGURE APPEARS.

He walks in front of the stall you're in, and looks around, but doesn't notice you under the hay. He's middle-aged, wearing what looks like a combination of several military uniforms. No identifying marks, and face is covered by a gas mask. He's currently looking away.

"I was just passing through."
"Then explain the dead body."
"Oh, you saw that... Well I can't let you leave, you know."

He begins to turn. It's time to act.

Well, you do have the advantage.

You raise the rifle, and plant one in his temple. The sunovabitch falls, and though your ears hurt a bit from the rifle report, you'll be fine.

He pitches over.

You proceed to check his body, producing another knife, a pistol in a holster (which smells like it's recently been fired, go figure), and a gas mask with a hole in it from your shot.

You don the mask, clip the holster to your belt, and grab his packpack. It contains a few pistol magazines, a locked black box with rattling contents, and a handheld radio.

You rolled a 4. Not really necessary, considering it's turning a page, but you got a 4 so this is the most elegant page turning in history.

The red tab is a list of places, including New York, DC, Chicago, Austin, and Seattle. The top of the page simply reads PRIORITY. You're unsure if these are targets or key positions to defend, but you don't like seeing someone with this so far away from those places.

At the bottom, most harrowingly, is the phrase eliminate. Well, that answers that. It seems that this group, whoever they are, want to exterminate America. Terrorists? Government cells? Foreign army?

You rolled a 4. Another great page turning.

At the top is the word SITES. Blue? Sites? Must mean Tumblr.

Several coordinates are listed, they look like latitude and longitude, along with a visual map. Seems like a list of bases, and you're only a few miles from a minor one.

That explains it.

>>
>>87466
You rolled a 5. Now THAT is a page turn to remember.

The green tab is stuffed with loose leaf paper, of various types. It seems to be largely scavenged. It's covered in illegible notes, but you do see one word at the; the most recent entry.

"Farmer." Is this a kill list? Might be.
>>
>>87491
I'd prefer another character, I mean, it doesn't matter the personality type, the person were playing as seems particularly lonely.

You work is done. You put the folder in your backpack, and make your way back to the car. You begin to head north, but it might take a bit of time.

What do you want to think about in the meantime (3 turns)?
