In the world, there are many creatures, mystic ones, dangerous ones, beautiful ones.
You cloud have been born a dragon, an Elf or even a mere human… but gods are assholes and the cards you’ve drawn are far from the best :
You are a goblin.

Goblins are considered vermin by most sentient beings from human to ork - truth be told, even goblins think so – and they mostly act so.
Except the rare occasions where they assemble in hordes to wage war left and right, goblins live in little tribes all over the continent, most of them being nomadic to avoid extermination from greedy adventurers, the royal army, hungry orks or bored dwarves. They’re not known for any talent except the one to be as easy to kill as a cockroach and almost as disgusting. Green skinned little shits, they’re standing between 60 and 80cm tall and weight rarely over 30kg, they have got claw-like nails and bulgy yellowish eyes, their mouth are messes of pointy teeth, overly long tongues and disgusting smells. Their lifespan is as short as they are and often end in a gruesome manner.
Be happy, you are one of those… things.

But a “normal” goblin is as fictional as an ugly elf and, like most of your brothers, you have this little thing that makes you different.
What is it ?

>You are taller than most, you could probably stare down a few of the shorter dwarves. You’re over one meter, a feat for a greenskin like you. It makes you particularly charismatic among your own kind and it makes you a bit stronger than most of them.
>You are infused with magic. Which kind ? Wait, you mean there are multiple kinds of magic ? You don’t know anything about it but, no matter under what star you where born, it was a magical one… maybe you should become a shaman or something ?
>You are one of the very rare four-armed goblins. Usually it’s something like one in a hundred but since most of the four-armed baby dies during their short and violent childhood, it quickly becomes a third of that around adulthood. Having a second pair of arms is a blessing in many ways.
>Your mother probably had sex with a wild animal rather than with one of your own kind : you are covered in brownish thick fur, you’re far more at ease when running on all four and you got a natural instinct for hunting. But you don’t really look like a goblin and you are an outcast in your own tribe.
>You are a flying goblin. Speaking of unlikely. A thick elastic membrane link your arms to your torso, you are shorter and way lighter than most of your kind. What you lack in leg length, you make up for it in arm length, making you look almost like a giant green bat-creature. It’s hard to take off from flat ground but if you leap from high enough you can fly for quite some time. You can sense easily the direction of the wind and you can see quite far, but your hearing is quite dull for a goblin.
>Write in (nothing too OP, it’s no fun being an all mighty goblin… yet)
>>
First things first, this quest is no railroad, it might be messy and may end as brutally as a goblin life should, but it’s not a problem as there is a lot of little greenskins in this universe and we can always start over.
Second, I'm French, and we all know about how good we are in English so please be merciful, if I make no sense, don’t hesitate to tell me but please don’t put pointing every mistake over the course of the quest.
Third, have FUN. In a normal way or a dwarf fortress way.

Fuck yes gobbo quest. Let's go with a flying gobbo.

Except more like the flying mice, not actually flying.

You were born in a nomadic tribe, living in the dense jungle of the south west of the continent. Lost of strange creatures live here and most of them sees goblins as prey – even if you don’t really taste that good. You’re forced to move every month and be very discreet in the forest.
The eating regimen of your pairs, with a lots of strange fruits and odd mushrooms made for a lot of mutations from a generation to the other. You are clearly one of them.

The lifestyle of your tribe taught you stealth since a young age and you’re quite proficient with a blowgun or a short lance, both adapted to your natural ability.
Capable of gliding little time after you walked, you quickly learned to fly with what mother nature gave you. You are not an eagle, that’s for sure, but among goblins, you’re the king of the sky. You soon became part of the gatherers.
But this kind of life is clearly not for you. After all, this mutation must have some kind of meaning ! You’re not like all the others are you ? Edgy little shit.
So you decided to go by yourself, discover the world and maybe your destiny.
Where will you go ?

>Go west, in the deeper forest, where your kind once saw Elves.
>Go north to the mountain, home of dwarves and ogres.
>Go east to the plain, where you should find humans and orks fighting endlessly.
>Nah men, i’m gonna stay in this tribe and become the chieftain of it !

(Goblins are everywhere so you should be able to find a tribe in any place as long as you search well enough)

Is this how our gob looks like?
>>
>>842524
I like it ! And it's fairly accurate !

Elves. A race of magic, beauty and eternity. Considered prick by most of the sentient being who ever encountered one. They’re nature loving, dwarves hating bitch... who can cut a butterfly in half with an arrow at fifty meters.
Nothing you could fear right ?
After all, you’re no butterfly.

You part with your village, taking a large part of their supply… without really asking. Goblins do what they must right ? Your leather bag is filled with enough dried fruits and roots to hold a little bit less than a week and you managed to get you hands on a bone pointed short spear and a bamboo blow gun with a dozen of darts.

The first two days goes without a problem, as you know this part of the forest, but, as you go further and further away from your tribes territory, you start to make pauses more frequently to make sure you don’t start circling around in the jungle. You’re not that stupid right ?

It’s during one of this orientation break that you encounter something you didn’t expect.
At the moment you’re in one of the tallest tree around, and as you search your way your piercing gaze detect a movement to your right. It’s a small group of humanoids figures finding their way trough the jungles with large machete strikes and, from the little you can hear, a fair share of insult and slapping oneself in hope of killing mosquitoes.

There is three human, two males and one female, guided by what seems to be a strange elf, bulkier and shorter that what you heard of this race. Maybe a mixed blood ? He is the only one not cursing his mouth of as he find the way for the others.

>Silently approach the group to understand what they are doing here

Taking no risks, you decide to follow the little group from afar.
After all, you might be a capable hunter but you are no warrior. And goblins fight more often with the numbers one their side than alone versus many. Gliding from a tree to another, you keep the quatuor in your field of vision. The day pass slowly and the burning sun goes patiently across the sky. Finally, approximately an hour before nightfall, the group set up camp in a little rocky depression. Soon enough, three little brow tents are erected and a fire is lit in the center of a rock center. A slim line of smoke goes up toward the darkening sky.

You notice it’s mostly the alf and the older male that do the job, the two other humans, after setting up their own tent, got inside and let the other two lit the fire and start making what smells like dinner. Once food is ready, they goes out once more and if the hybrid seems not to care about them, the third human is clarly acting like a servant.
Did you happen to cross road with nobles ? Rich merchants ? You don’t really know enough of the human custom to guess but they must be important people to have a servant… right ?

You stay hidden, away of the camp as the sky get covered in stars.
Soon after the dinner, everyone exept the elf goes to sleep as, you guess, he take the first guard.
You grip your blowgun tightly, too bad you dont have any poison, but a dart to the throat can kill anyone. As a spear.

>Wait for one of the human to take a turn and attack, it’s safer.
>Attack now, taking out the elf is the most important anyway.
>You can just blow some dart to one of them and wait tomorrow… you have time to wear them out.

You wait a good part of the night. The elf himself take a good third of night time as his guard and you’re more than impress of his endurance. You are yourself quite tired of the long day following them but you didn’t have to set up a camp and to be frank, gliding is quite more effective than walking, further more in a jungle.
The second to take up guard is your target.

It’s a relatively old one. His hair have more grey than black and his chin is covered by a thick but surprisingly well cut beard. His eyes show how tired he is and as he sit by the fire you see him exhale a deep sigh… so far from the vigilance of the half elf.

You take your blowgun and you try to get as close as possible of you target. By gliding in the night sky, well above his line of sight. You stop a couple of trees away from the large light circle formed by the fire. You point your weapon toward the sitting human and, with all your breath, you blow your dart.

The first on end up in the thigh. The human scream as the serrated projectile tears up his flesh. He try to get up, aggravating the damage of you shot as the dart is moved inside the muscle. A scream of pain echoes in the forest.
You try to blow a second dart at you screaming target but you fail to predict his movement and the dart ends up in the dirt, near the fire.
But your talent really show with the third one how end up in his shoulder, rewarding you with a particularly loud and high pitched scream. Quickly, the elf first, the other member of the little team come out of their tents, alarmed by the scream of the servant.
They still don’t understand what’s going on.

>You continue to fire (name target and Roll)
>You stop firing but stay here, moving now could be dangerous.
>You move away, the sight of the elf is no joke.

As the wounded human try to explain what happens, you decide to glide away of the camp and the little group now on their guard.
You probably saved your own life because, as you back away in the shadows of the night, you see the elf getting his bow and arrow ready and circling around the camp, searching for the one how just attacked them. If the two human seems chocked and angry, the hybrid is rather cold and practical. He will definitely be the dangerous one. You decide to go quite far away as you really don’t want to engage a ranged combat with a half-elf armed with a bow.

From your new look out, you can see the human female taking out your projectile from the now heavily bleeding servant and trying to patch him up as well as possible. She seems quite versed in the art of healing and you might need to take her out of the picture if you want to end things quickly.

You decide that the night isn’t over for them and you’ll wait form some time, until they think it’s over, before attacking again, this time targeting the female one.
The time goes slowly as the elf circle wider and wider – even if he don't even come close of your new hiding place – searching calmly for their aggressor. The screams of pain stop quickly after the servant got bandaged and given a generous portion of alcohol. The human male seems rather angry and has, himself, got a long-sword out of his tent and keeps it close at all time.
The hybrid, after a couple of hours, finally give up on his search. The humans put the now sleeping servant in their tent and stay with the archer, seemingly incapable of sleeping. They speak few words and seems stressed out.

To be fair, being in a hostile jungle with no support and an invisible attacker darting you from afar is not the comfiest place to be… And to be frank, being the predator, for once, fells quite nice.
So nice that you want it again.
Waiting for the elf to look the other way, you once again glide closer and closer of the camp. You manage quite well by merging with the night sound of the jungle. When you finally are close enough for them to be in the short reach of your blow gun, you can see the stress deforming their face, except for the hybrid one.
Once again, you gather all your breath.

The dart hit the woman in the cheek. A bit low, you were aiming for the eye. But the scream she let out is quite satisfying to be frank. She rolls on the ground and seems to spite out quite the lot of blood and what seems to be splinter of a broken tooth. The too males jump on their feet, the human on by surprise, the hybrid his bow in hand and his eyes ready.

You decide that staying here is a bigger risk than getting away for now.
You wait for the Elf to start his circling, an arrow already engaged, to climb higher in the tree and glide away once again. Your claws make little to no sound as you get up the thick branches and the wind cover largely the flapping of your leather wind when you take of in the night sky, covering briefly the stars as you goes ton another tree. Your landing is a little bit less discreet but the elf does not pick up the sound you make and, once more, you get as high as possible, to glide more than fly, flapping your wing making way more sound than just letting the wind carry you down.

You repeat the operation quite a few time without the archer catching even a glimpse of you.
The female is still crying while trying to bandage her own face. It will probably hard to eat until the wound is cured, and this kind of injury, in the moist heat of the jungle is already a pain… without a proper eating, it’ll quickly become more than a little problem.
You did well for you own standard and you think it is time for you to go to sleep.
The group might not sleep as well as you.

The morning heat wakes you up and you take a few moment to get perfectly awake.
You quickly chef on the little group. They seems to still be here. With two of them injured, their bound to move way slower. And as if it wasn't sufficient, the human and the hybrid seems to be arguing – even you can hear them screaming – it’s not clear but you guess from what you can perceive that the half elf want to go as quick as possible, getting away from here as the human prefer to let his friends heal a bit before going.

You get back near the camp once again, this time from another angle, you don’t want to have the sun in the eyes while you fire at them. You finally find the perfect sport on the large branch of a tree, near the camp. This time, you might not be able to go away after your shot, in the daylight your gliding might not be as stealthy… a large creature flying from one tree to another being quite visible on the blue sky.
The human is getting more and more carried away by his anger as he clearly screams at the half elf, inciting the hybrid to fornicate with a whole lot of his family in quite a few sentences. The archer seems to take the whole situation calmly, indicating that the enemy – you – might attack again and again and that they must find a safe place to take cover, like a cave or a hill.
Yes, you definitely must take out this knife eared piece of shit.

Once again, you power up your shot with your full breath.
You hesitate one second to aim at his arse… but let’s be serious, as fun as it might be, you want to take him out.
You aim for the neck.

The elf eruct a deep howl of pain. You missed… but still did well. A large pointy ear has fallen into the dirt. The blood is flowing from the now tainted blond hair of the archer from the large cut your serrated projectile did on the left of his head.
It’s gotta hurt… a lot.

You take cover under the leak of the tree as he finally get back up. For the first time, mister resting-bitch-face is really, really angry, half of his face is covered in blood and all of it in pain.

You decide that this anger, as funny as it is, is not really a good news for your lifespan.
You hide among the leaves, your greenish skin helping you in that. After all, you gotta use what you can. Sadly, this guy got something from his elven ancestors more than just the predominant ears. He rapidly got hand on his bow and, if he take some time to find out where you are, it’s a matter of minute, not hours.
He does not seems sure that his aggressor his hiding here… but he know something is and he take no chance, you see him take an arrow out of his quiver. You have to react quickly, the pain and the anger might not help him to concentrate at aiming but you still quite near him – the reach of your blowgun being quite short – and the chance he miss an immobile target at this distance is… low.

As the elf draw his bow you gather your breath but you way quicker at doing so and his cord is only stretched halfway when you fire at him. You had no problem aiming since you had all the time and your shot goes particularly strait. In this stance, the torso was not really an option but, as he took his bow, you had a perfect shot on his throat.
The serrated projectile encounter the fragile flesh. Blood splatter in an impressive way, painting the grass and the dirt in red as the elf emit a surprised gurgling, letting go his bow and arrow to the ground while garbing his own throat, trying to keep the blood from flowing out… without great success.

The female erupt from her tent while the human male stay immobile, visibly shocked by the sudden attack. The healer seems really tired and don’t really know what to do as the elf look at her in despair, is life flowing out of him endlessly.

You take your time to aim at the human while the hybrid finish is life on the ground, in the helpless arms of the wounded healer.
The satisfaction you get when your dart fly trow the air, whit little to no sound to pierce, easily, the eye of the immobile human. A quite good wake up call to be frank. He immediately get both his hand on his eyes… a fairly bad idea as he push further in the bone projectile. The screams are delightful. The woman take some time to really understand what’s going on.
The male fall to his knee, sobbing and screaming in pain, something like “my eye, arg, it hurts” and other niceties. You love when they do that.

The woman start to go the her tent, probably to hide and maybe to wake the other human up. Like you would let her. A quick inspiration and you set. The dart fly across the camp in the blink of a eye. You aimed for the neck but she ran faster than you tough and the projectile shove itslef in the center of her back. Another dart, another scream. She falls into her knee as the human male gets up, trying to get to cover behind a tree but, not knowing where you are he is still largely visible from your perspective.
Stupid pink-skins. In a night and a day, you wounded all of them and even killed the most fearsome. How could your kind be afraid of this weak creatures ?
On the other hand, you used more than half the dart you had.

You push on your legs and shifty glide out of your tree. Spear in your hand while you ride the wind down toward your target. The woman stopped screaming, she seems quite string willed, and both of her hands try to get to the projectile stuck in her back. The other human don’t even seems to want to help her.
He don’t quite understand what’s happening as you fly over the camp. His scream of alert come an heart beat to late as he fail to immediately understand that you are the menace they’re so afraid of. After all, you’re just a quite big green bat for them.

And as the male try to warn the female, the pointy end of your spear met her already wounded back. The impact from the whole flight added to the push of your arm is largely sufficient to pierce the light cloth covering her. The blood taint the tunic as you pierce the flesh, passing just under the ribs, the weapon ravaging her inside before getting out again with a spurt of blood.
She seems like she can’t even scream. The pain must be… incredible. You see her eyes being filled with fear, pain, incomprehension.

With one swift movement, you tear your weapon out of the female as she fall on the floor, agitated with spasm of pain. This time you can’t hold your laugh as you turn back to the other human. Holding his sword with two trembling hands, he don’t seem capable to even make a step toward you. He seems terrified.
Amusing if you consider that he is four times as tall.

You run toward the frightened human, a lot slower with your legs than your wing your still quite nimble and this became your natural habitat. You quickly arrive to him. He brandish is weapon in an intimidating but clumsy manner, you doubt he ever got into a serious fight. The only real fighter of the band lie in a pool of his own blood, missing a ear.
He try to chop you in half with a large descending strike of his easy blade. He is not slow but largely predictable, you just do a couple of step on the right and the steel cut nothing but air. As the weapon strike the ground with a metallic sound, you trust yours toward him. The bone rip apart the leather of his pant and leave a messy cut on his tight, just under his private part.

Clinching his teeth despise the pain, he try to hit you one more time with a horizontal slash. You get back a few steps, out of the range of his sword, then back in, thinking a second time. His mouth let out a high pitched squeak as the serrated spear tear away his virility in a gush of blood and other fluids.
His hands let go of the heavy blade and try to protect what’s not here anymore, leaving you the opportunity of a proper killing strike. The point of your lance opening a large bloody smile on his throat.

You go back to the camp and kill th servant in his sleep… the wounds you did to him seems infected and the fever keep him in the world of dream this whole time. Probably for the best.
You have now access to more meat than you ever had, a trio of steel dagger, way to big sword and bow, a pair of tents, some supply, some paper covered of symbols and a little bit of human currency in the form of silver and copper little coins.

I think I will stop after the next post. It’s way past 4 am here and i’m starting to feel really tired.
Sorry guys. It’s a good beginning. It’s strange to have players with good judgment and roll on a goblin quest… almost unnatural !
I’ll get back to it after I slept.

Hope you had a little bit of fun !

>Take a dinner to go and some things

We can't stay long. A campsite with food and fresh corpses is a target for predators much lager and deadlier than a goblin. Best to keep moving.

Namely the knives, they're like the multitool of the mud-evil world.

Gather weapons (knives and bow&arrows), money/jewelry, rations and your darts.

'Pay your respects' to the female's body before leaving her a pearl necklace as an offering and filling her orfices with phallic objects as is your tribes proper embalming practice.
