Rolls will be best of three
Votes will be whatever is most supported and write-ins are always an option.

You sit on the edge of the rusted fire escape and look down the alley it hangs over.
You've been here the past few hours, you live in the most run down neighborhood you could find just to be closer to crime.
You begin to grow frustrated, after another half hour you stand and stretch your legs.

"Stop, get the hell off of me!" You her a female voice scream

You rise and look in the direction of the commotion, you see the shadow of a large man and woman struggling.

You grab the ladder and slide into the alley below before heading for the conflict, pulling your hood up to conceal your identity and make sure you're ready for this by..

It would be cool for a sort of Wild Western character even though we are in a city. A modern Clint Eastwood

I can make it a revolver if you'd like.

That would be nice.

WEAPONS: Dual Revolvers
ARMOR: None
SPECIAL: Known
You draw the revolver you carry from your belt holster causing the belt to dip to the left under the weight of your back-up pistol.
You take the safety off the only way you can with a revolver, by pulling back the hammer with a satisfying click. You cross the street, this hour of night the only thing in the streets are bums and taxis and they both smell about the same. You reach the other alley and see by the dting street lamps that the woman's dress is ripped, exposing her bare shoulder and upper chest.
She continues screaming for help until the man delivers a brutal backhand that silences her. You can only hear the ripling of fabric now.
>Step into the alley, calling out to the man (What do you say?)
>Sneak into the alley and get the jump on him
>Just shoot him now
>Write in

No nonsense, no banter, justice on demand

If theres no support for one of these I'll roll. I'll give it a sec.

You raise the revolver from it's lowered position in a fluid motion you'd practiced hundreds of times, dreaming of this night. Your grip was like iron around the ivory grip of your polished death dealer, you squeeze the trigger without a moments hesitation and you feel your hand and forearm jar with the recoil. Recoil doesn't bother you none, you've shot these beauties enough times in the wilderness to get the perfect feel for them, and even though you're sure your shot was true you pull the hammer back the instant you hear the crack of your pistol and smell the sour gunpowder.

The man crumbles groaning in pain, clutching his chest. The bullet passed through his upper shoulder, only place the shot wouldn't hit the girl.
You slowly approach and the woman now slumped over a dumpster begins stirring from her unplanned nap.

>Say something to the woman (Specify)

You also notice the attacker trying to stand on his jellied legs and failing.

You slowly step over to the scumbag who has managed to get to his knees, you put your revolver barrel to the back of his head and again squeeze the trigger. The shar crack echoes again this time with the subtle sound of dripping grey matter following it.

The woman jumps, the gunshot bringing her back to the present, she desperately tries to cover up until she noticed her would be attacker. At which point her hands fly to her mouth and she begins hyperventilating.

You sigh content, justice is served.
"You have a goodnight now Ma'am." Is all you say as you turn on your heel and begin leaving the alley.

"But wait.." you hear almost a whisper
"Are you not going to tell me who you are?"

"Justice needs no name Ma'am" you say as you turn the corner and begin walking down the street before disappearing into a second alley, just incase the woman tries to follow you. The sound of approaching police sirens surprise you, usually crime is so bad around here Police are tied up and unable to respond to most calls.

You decide it's a good idea to head home for the night, well the day. You sigh at the sight of the sky slowly turning orange, the sigh deepens when you see a newspaper blow past and you catch the title.
"Gang Wars Ravage Spire City, Mayor claims the situation is 'under control' "

News like that is what pushed you to the point you reached tonight, but there was a straw that broke the camels back. What finally pushed you into action as a vigilante?

>Write-In for obligatory tragic reason for fighting crime.

Our girlfriend was taken by a serial killer that the police have done nothing to stop, we only know because he left a message only we would understand
>>
>>838714
Just a cowboy looking for justice
>>
>>838714
We came to the city after leaving the army to meet our girlfriend who went here for college. The day after we arrived in city a gang jumped us, left us for dead with a bashed in head. The police found our girlfriend a month later, beaten, starved, drugged and raped. She had been alive up until recently when they found the body. There were suspicions that the detective in charge of the case had been taking bribes, both in money and carnal relations. With the woman he was supposed to save. We put a bullet through his head when he was getting his bribe from the gangers. Then we dealt with them too, most of them at least, some weren't there.
>>
>>838714
"I had been with Lizzy for 6 years. In fact, our wedding was in 4 months. I had taken her out for a movie. It was a reshowing of The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. Unfortunately we missed the cabs taking everyone home. It was only a half hour walk, so we thought we were safe. I later realized, nowhere in Spire City is safe. There were four of them. They were brandishing a gun and two knives. We didn't even see them, walking down the street, just a few blocks from home. They grabbed us and pulled us into the alley. The biggest one, probably the leader, socked me right on the mouth and ripped my crucifix necklace off of me, and then threw me into the wall, knocking me out cold. When I regained consciousness, I saw Lizzy in a pool of her own blood. She was always a little bit of a fighter, and it seems like it showed that night. They slit he throat and fled. OF course the cops never found them, they couldn't find a criminal even if he came up and confessed. I knew the next morning, that it was up to me to make a difference."
>>
I really dig these. First one to be seconded wins. Otherwise I'll just roll.
>>
>>838778

Might be best to just roll, I like the other ones too but I got my heart set on a serial killer. I just like the juxtaposition between the vigilante and the killer, a cat and mouse game that the police only get stuck in the middle of

Well there you have it. We are literally a cowboy, in the big city, looking to bring justice to this lawless land.
>>
You smile when you imagine the interviews one day.
"Why did you choose to become a vigilante?" Will be the obvious question. But it wont be for revenge or power or fame.
You chuckle imagining the look on their faces when you tell them the truth. You're just an old cowboy looking for justice.

You get to your apartment building and head inside, the lobby is dead, the usual rabble of gang bangers shooting dice non-existent at this hour. You get to your apartment and open the door before going inside and collapsing on the fold out couch and drifting to sleep.

*boop boop boop*

The high pitched beeping is coming from your cellphone, you sit up bleary headed believing your early escapades to just be a dream until you realise you still have your guns on.
The clock reads 9:45 you only got a couple hours of sleep but that's all you really need, you pick up your beeping phone and groan. Work is calling, you dont feel like dealing with work today. You especially don't feel like dealing with work while you could be planning your next move as a vigilante, still you have bills and bullets aint cheap. So you answer preparing to talk to Briane, the receptionist at work.
>"This is the Pastor."
>"The Doctor is in."
>"The firm giving me that promotion yet?"
>"Rough as we look detectives need their beauty sleep too."

"Yes, this is the Pastor." You answer

"Why hello, Pastor, it's Brianne. I just needed to call you because you are needed urgently at the church this mornin." She replies cheeriky with her slight southern drawl.

You sigh and respond
"What could possibly be so important, even the lord needed a day of rest."

"Why yes. Pastor, I know. But you see this is a sensitive topic.." Brianne states, her voice becoming very low as the next words she say turn your blood to ice water.

"We have a woman who was apparently nearly raped, and claims an archangel saved her just a few hours ago. She looks mighty roughed up so I'm not doubting it."

You stare at your guns, still attached to your waist and begin to very lightly sweat.

"I'll be there within the hour." You state

You decide a hot shower will help you relax, you step in and wash off the sweat and dried flecks of blood you neglected in favor of sleep. You let the hot water loosen your tight muscles and relax your anxious mind, you step out of the shower and walk to the mirror before wiping it's damp surface with your hand and looking at yourself. It was dark there's no way she would remember what you looked like, still you could imagine the police now. Combing the neighborhood looking for...

>Give a brief description of your appearance. Make it as brief or detailed as you'd like.
>>
>>838928

We're a large, soft spoken and articulate man. Long ago when we first heard the call to ministry we thought that God didn't want us being violent, that he made it easy for us to hurt people so that we could fight that temptation. Now we know better, we know he can't intervene in worldly affairs and he gave us our talents and gifts so that we could do what he couldn't, kill those sinners who need killing and send those to his judgement
>>
>>838928
We are 6 foot two inches of muscle, and 270 pounds of good ol' Texas spirit. Our hair is black, and is fairly uncut, as well as a fairly thick mustache. Our calling is pretty much >>838987
and we are now ready to send not only sinners to hell, but to disperse judgement in this world.
>>
>>838987

(Just realized I was very light on the actual appearance details)

Huge, built, Norse decent with blonde hair kept long like Samson but normally bound up

Not sure on a beard
>>
>>838996
I'm okay with this.
>>
>>838987
As a man of faith, for years we questioned why the Good Lord would let evil men walk the earth. Now, we realize we were given these quick drawing hands of ours for a reason.

Willing to compromise on hair color? Be the large well spoken southern gentleman type?
>>
>>839064
sounds great to me. do light brown hair or something
>>
>>839105
I'd say dark brown or black. Seems southern to me
>>
>>839064

Certainly, I was just going blonde because of the arch angel description
>>
>>839121
Gabriel had black hair.
>>
>>839142

Huh, I did not know that, weird
>>
>>839149
He was called the messenger, so maybe that correlates with us being the messenger for the lord.
>>
You examine your face and hear the description in your head.
Brown hair, green eyes, growing some stubble, 6,2 about 225 pounds, muscular. You stop all those thoughts, no sense flattering yourself.

You get in your black dress shirt, some nice black slacks and your black boots. Your traditional attire at the church, which is only a short cab ride from your home.

You make your commute barely making it through the small talk with the cabbie, you step out into the warm morning air. You make your way through the security door you had installed after a break-in last year, you see Brianne and her light blonde hair radiant in the light.

Sitting in a small metal foldout chair is the woman from last night her hair rough and her clothes still torn.

> Introduce yourself (Name our hero)

>Try to ignore the woman and go to your office.

You walk up to the woman turning the southern charm to 10.

"Hello Ma'am, my name is Pastor Jacob MacMahon, what can I do for you?"
You don't realize you chose the wrong word to use. The only word you said multiple times that she had good memory of you saying.

"What did you just call me?" She asks her head snapping to you

"Ma'am?" You say this time it registers

The woman's eyes widen as she looks you up and down.
"Holy shit, you're the right size and you sound just like.." she doesn't finish as you put a finger up and shush her.

The whole rape thing? Well maybe, but who says we know she got raped. She doesn't, even though we know
>>
>>839421

Honestly even more of a reason, we know that she didn't get raped but we don't have the full story yet. From our unknowing perspective we could still be dealing with a rape
>>
>>839440
Or we could be dealing with just a woman from the street. Well the die has been cast, unless there is another speech option.
