Can somebody explain why Risk is so organized and bizarre? We have a Skype chat with 70 or more people, a Discord server roughly half that size, some namefag with hundreds of maps being hosted on a drive and the majority of those maps never being played. I've been on this site since 09 and Risk was being played even then. Some people even doxxed other people just because of autism within games of Risk. This isn't anything like quests, which I can understand the reasoning behind them lasting as long as they have. Roll threads too are staples of 4chan, but even those never really have a cult following around them like Risk has.

What makes risk so unique?
