You are Grau Himmel, first year student in Haven Academy, leader of team GNJR, and descendant of a long line of Hunters and Huntresses. You are currently in your first day of classes and sparring against a Faunus student named Brennan Arctos. You both started off trying to put each other under suppressing fire, and now the time to trade blows has begun.
You hear the machine pistol Brennan's using go 'click' a few times. He grunts and switches it back to the large survival knife it started out as and charges at you, keeping his body low to the ground before swinging the blade up.

You just manage to block Brennan's knife. You gotta hand it to him- he moves really damn fast. Brennan leaps back, watching you intently, trying to read your posture and glean your next move.

Knives are fast but have limited reach. Abuse that by making quick thrusts and short quick slashes at him. Keep him on the Back foot and use your reach to inflict death of a thousand cuts.

You keep Brennan on the ropes, taking jabs and quick slashes when you can and not letting up on him. With each strike you chip away at his Aura, as it is monitored on a large wall-mounted screen. Eventually, you wear him down and deliver a final, decisive blow.
"Winner: Grau Himmel!" announces Professor Grove. You walk back to your team, feeling pretty good about yourself.
"Great work, Grau!" says Nadeshiko.

Meanwhile, in Windpath....
A man in a heavy red coat leans against a wall in a vacant alley, panting and trying desperately to wipe the blood off his fingers with a handkerchief.
"Damn...I've done it again...at this rate, I'll have to leave town." he mutters to himself.
"That might not be necessary," says a man from a shadowy part of the alley, their voice deep and powerful. The man in red coat looks around wildly, trying to find the speaker.
"Who are you? How much do you know?" he demands, drawing a saber from his side. The man hidden in shadows lets out a throaty laugh. "Do not panic, I won't report you to the city guard. I'm simply here to make an offer...my compatriots can help you out of your little predicament, so long as you're willing to join us...
