Last time you, Nathaniel Joseph, are looking for the Gia. The woman that took your sword and criticized you for not knowing how to use it. >>697852 Your search for her and your sword, has brought you outside the tree where the Sin of Sloth resides along with a few others. Your guess is that she was at the top of the tree after a few clues were left behind. >>725469 Climbing didn't work. >726082 And propelling yourself into the air didn't seem to as well, as the drunk Dominick had to appear to catch you and question you. >>728872

Last Tread:
>>689999
>>
>>730126
>Yup.
>>
>>730709
Dominick would have squinted at you.

>"So naturally stupid..."
>>
>>730713
>"I was looking for someone here to waste time before the dragon inside woke up. I don't know jack about anything in this world, how would i know anything about sacred grounds or even currency? Some fucking bakers gyped me out of my platinums. I was gonna go on an arson rampage for but the fuddy duddys in that cave won't let me."
>>
>>731002
You went on a small rant about you problems. After Dominick would have looked like he was thinking of something.

>"I could probably go get some of your platinum back... but first tell me who you are looking for."
>>
>>731048
"I wanted to find Gia and talk before Salamander woke up. Xavion said salamander would be up in 3 hours. They're here with someone that they want to keep secret but if you really want me to i could tell you i guess since the fucking bitch stole my sword to. "
>>
>>731114
Dominick would have shaken his head.

>"Your talking non sense kid. Gia has been dead for centuries, and the Great Dragon Salamander has better things to do than sit around in Avarice and sleep. The only thing that lives in the great tree is the Sin of Sloth and that is because the High King deemed him not to be a threat. Now tell me, what are you REALLY looking for."
>>
>>731128
"Man, you already know i don't know anything about this world. For all i know those are just names they picked up out of admiration but alright, i'll show you them and you can judge for yourself."

>Take him to Xavion and Salamander.
>Talk on the way "so what are you doing here, looking to collect me before the battle starts?"
>>
>>731157
Since decide that you'd take Dominick to Xavion and Salamander. He'd put you down and let you guide him into the tree. On the way, you'd ask him what was he doing here.

>"No, I'm not looking to collect you. Guards tell me of someone complaining about merchant prices earlier, and a few witnesses overheard something about the sloth's cave. I wanted to know exactly what was happening. Than I saw you, and assumed... I was pretty spot on. Though, it won't be long until the skirmish starts."

Once you were where inside, you spread your hand out to the room in a TOLD YOU fashion. But when you saw Dominick's face, you'd look around the room yourself. Xavion, Cetus, Salamander. They were all gone. The only one in the room was Lyso, and he'd gone back to sleep.

>"Being in here makes me want to take a bar nap... So where these individuals you think are here?"
>>
>>731201
"Must have left, guess i shouldn't be surprised.they're Hanging out with an immortal sword stealing cunt that faked her death to this city after all."

hmm, we imbued our sword with our mana a lot. See if you can sense any of your residual mana in it to find it. Try waking up Lyso and ask her where everyone went. Tell Lyso Dominick is cool and can be trusted if they are nervous about him.

Night OP
>>
>>731226
>"Yeah... Sure."

You could FEEL the sarcasm in his voice. Anyway. You get an idea that you'd imbued mana into sword. That wasn't exactly the case after you thought it over a few times. Channeling mana through your sword wasn't exactly the same thing. But it didn't matter. It was probably the same thing.

You'd attempt to sense your sword somewhere around the tree. But you feel nothing. So it was either the sword was no where near the tree, or you couldn't sense mana like Ruth could. Without any way of figuring out which one it was, he'd move to wake up Lyso. He'd groan a few times and didn't show any sign of waking up. That was when Dominick moved over and opened his flask. He'd held it under the Sin's nose.

>"Wake up, Lyso. Help me prove this kid is crazy and I'll bring you some booze."

Lyso would have yawned and slowly say up. There was probably no need to tell him Dominick was cool. The two seemed buddy buddy already. So you'd just ask him where the others went. He'd just tell you that he didn't know what you were talking about. It seemed like he was in on hiding the others as well.

>"So kid... Any more evidence?"
>>
Rolled 6 (1d6)

>>731267
Can we roll to see if Lyso is lying?
>>
>>732945
We already know the son of a bitch is lying, fuckers covering up for his party.
>>
>>733002
Do we? Did you ever consider maybe that Gia and the lot are using magic to conceal themselves, lile they have so long from such powerful allies like the High King himself?
>>
>>732945
>>733002
>>733036
He's lying.
>>
>>731267
>>733901

Thank you

>Lyso, youre lying. This is somewhat important.
>>
Is lyso the sloth guy that everyone knows about?
Cause we could lure out that guy we talked to by setting fire to some bakerys. Worse comes to worse we can have dominick hide and he lends us his legendary weapon so that bitch comes and try to take it from our unworthy hands.
>>
>>734057
You tell Lyso he was lying, and this was important. He would have just shaken his head, declaring he didn't know what you were talking about. Dominick would have shaken his head.

>"I don't really care why you're here at this point... Just interested where this will go.
---
>>734077
Everyone already knows about Lyso, yes. And if you want to go and take the risk go ahead.
>>
>>734430
Leave the cave with dominick and speak in wispers.
"Hey dominik, this Xavion guy also someone famous? Cause i think i have a way to lure him out. Also, is that weapon of yours legendary or super famous? Cause I could probably get someone else in my trap if it is."
>>
>>734454
You'd walk out of the cave with Dominick and whispered some stuff to him. He didn't see much of a point to whisper, so he talked aloud.

>"Yes, Xavion Ifrit. He'd made the Ifrit Sword Form using his martial arts. It's why most weapon users have a hard time learning the form because wasn't originally made for weapons. As for my weapon, yes it's one of the only non curse weapons around that has a name to it. If you think you can lure out some people your talking about, you can try. But they MUST be pretty smart if they can avoid you for thiiiss long"

Some sarcasm had entered his voice towards the end of what he had to say.
>>
>>734523
Um. Im pretty sure theyre more powerful than Dominik and that hes actually worthy of his weapon, unlike us, so Gia wont have a go at it. But sure, sounds like a bad idea but lets see how this goes.

>Youre sober, right?
>>
>>734652

>"Unfortunately, I am."
>>
>>734661
>Then off we go. Lets go terrorize some bakers. It may also be better of you to hide somewhere near instead of striding along with us.
>>
>>734523
"Alright then, heres what we do, we wait at night and start a controlled fire across all the bakerys. Enough that Xavion will notice and come after me but not enought to actually burn the bakerys down. He'll come after me and you'll see that i wasn't lying and then we can have a chat with him. You stay near but hidden after we've set this up. Oh, and you'll want to get the platinums before the fires incase they're mad or god forbid the fires rage out of control."
>>
>>734738
You tell him your idea and Dominick would have thought for a moment.

>"I guess you can go along with this. Technically, I'm not a guard... So if a guard or two step in and try to detain you, don't expect any help from me. Since you want me to hide anyway, that words as well."

You and Dominick made your way towards the town area. The bakeries and stuff to be specific. You'd start explaining your plan to him as you two progressed Sometime along the way, Dominick would have up and disappeared. Probably no need to hear your plan. Though he had a feeling that he was still around. Not too far, yet not to close.

When you finally made it, a small spark of fire turned into a small fire in your hands. With the fire in your hands, you'd start to make controlled fires across all of the bakeries. Well, what you thought were controlled fires. A small panic started in the area. After some time past, the fires started growing out of control. It seemed like you had less control over them than you thought.

But something else you'd notice as well, things seemed to slow down alittle. Something wasn't right. You'd look to the flames and they'd start to slow to a halt. You'd notice the people around did as well. Than there was something else. Off in the distance, something heading towards you. Running. Speeding. Screaming in fury.

You knew who was headed your way.
>>
>>734810
Oh shit.

>Frantically yell for Dominick while executing a tactical retreat in the name of righteous courage
>>
>>734890
You'd start yelling for Dominick. But he didn't come. Everything came to a full standstill. In the general part of the town, nothing moved but you and Xavion. And so, you had no choice. With a speeding martial artist headed your way, you'd decide to that it wasn't worth waiting for Dominick and started to retreat in the name of Righteous Courage!

>"GOD DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMN!!!"

Wow, did he sound pissed. You'd take a look back and notice he was speeding towards you. His feet were blazing and he was leaving a trail of fire in his wake. Than, his eyes were dead set on you. If he caught you, it wouldn't be good news. You'd look ahead, and started to pick up the pace. But it was no use as you'd start to hear him close the gap.

>"GET BACK HERE YOOOU!!!"

He would catch up to you soon.
>>
>>734959
>IMSORRYITWASTHEVOICESPLEASEDONTHURTME.
>Keep running. Our unwavering courage demands it. Maybe even use Ishkur to gain some more distance

You shout you apology as you ran, because stopping would have been your end. You'd start teleporting to try to get some distance from him. It seemed to be working at first, but when you looked back, he'd start to look more like a blur.

He was picking up speed. After a few moments, he'd start appearing and disappearing. Closer and closer. Than came the surprise, he'd appear in front of you. His foot steadily heading for your chest. Even though you had a breastplate on, you knew that kick was gonna break right through it. You'd teleport a few feet to the side for a quick and easy dodge.

But Xavion appeared next to you and slammed his fiery foot into the back of your breast plate. You could feel the metal shatter and smash into your back. It hurt, to put it simply. And you were sent flying a couple of yards, rolling until you found yourself laying on your stomach. You'd look back to him and he was walking towards you now. You'd take this time to take off the shattered breastplate and got up to run.

Before you could get far, Xavion caught up and kicked you in the back again. You'd groan in pain as you fell to the ground again. And than, his foot press down on your back. Burning into your back. It didn't help that you were already in pain.

>"Taking risks, brings consequences. You'd believe that it would be so simple to expose the Queen, Cetus, Salamander, and myself. If I were you, I'd leave Avarice before the Queen decides to execute you after all. This little stunt of your's has probably angered her, so it won't be long."
>>
>>735276
>His foots connected to your body, Form as much energy magic and/aura of it as you can and send all of it into him and concentrate it into his eyes.
Start teleporting again but don't focus on just running but hiding and going into crowded places on and off. Fuckers trying to stay hidden then we expose him just by going with the crowd.
Try and get an improvised long, thin, hard and sharp weapon while on the run and if he gets close then blast him in the face with a big bloom of fire , It wont hurt him much but it should blind him enough as a distraction that we can jam your impromptu and energy mana imbued weapon into his eyes or if he turns away then into the little space behind his ears between his jaw and the rest of his skull.
easy to reach the brain there, painful as fuck to.

>>734890
>>735188
Anon, please
>>
>>735276
>Expose? No. Why do you hide? You are loved. Dominick is not loose-lipped. Gia supposedly feigned her death to forfeit her high queenship, and a queenship is too her people. But she has alles as well. Wouldnt it be better she had a close goup of friends to depend on? Beyond you, Cetus, and Salamander.

>By the way, is he awake yet? I just thought that having Gia come to me instead of me attempting o find her in vain would be more fruitful. Reckless, defintely, but it presume it will accomplish its goal.
>>

>queenship is to

>>
>>735435
Okay, fuck it. Im the connossuier of typos. We basically just want to convey that Gia is very mentally unhealthy at the moment. She needs more than just her ex-roal gaurds. She need friends. And she can fimd that in the people she didnt not [technically ruled over everyone though] rule over, those [almost] as powerful as her. And Ifrit fucking knows this. In spite of the fact that this isnt in our place to do, she and they wont do it themselves. He knows this too.

We wont win if we're dead. And its the war that ultimately matters, not every single damn battle.
>>
>>735422
>>735429
When his foot connected with your body, you'd gather as much energy as you could muster as attempt to run it through Xavion's body and towards his eyes. But that was when he'd done something as well. His foot would have turned to a black metallic color. The energy you'd run attempt to run through him would have quickly repelled and ran through you negative man. You'd felt something off about yourself suddenly.

>"Don't know when to quit? Now some of your mana circuits have swelled and burst. You won't be able to use magic efficiently without worsening what you've done unless you can get that fixed up in a week's time but a REALLY experienced healer. As far as I know, there aren't any around Avarice."

He'd applied more pressure onto your back. You'd start to feel an unbearable pain on your back. It wouldn't be too long before he started the long and painful process of destroying your spine. And than suddenly the choice came to get verbal instead of resisting. Before things somehow got worse. And so, you'd start talking reason to Xavion.

>"Because standing at the top so long is something anyone would get tired of. The less others know, the better as well. The queen only needs us, and the VERY few allies around Gerosda. As for Salamander, he's still asleep, but I wouldn't go about learning a new sword form while some of your mana circuits are damaged."
>>
>>735523
Dammit anon

>Thats fine. Logic doesnt apply to idiots. Lets go.
>>
>>736649
Xavion would have scoffed and lifted his foot off your back. Than walked off.

>"Do what you want. But you should still get out of the city before the queen comes for your head. And magic or not, you won't win."

As he got further, he'd start to age down back to a kid. And everything started to move once more. He'd disappear into the crowd. And a crowd seemed to gather around you. Guards mostly. They ask you to come with them.
>>
>>736685
Oops. Dammit anon.
>Okay, yeah

The guards help you to your feet and brought you along through the city. As you go along, you notice water mages still fighting the fires you made. You'd looked to the roofs and saw Dominick progressing along with you by the roof tops. He'd seemed to have been unnoticed by all but you.

After some walking, you'd been brought into the castle. Walking the halls, you'd saw guards and nobles like giving you a rather dirty look. But soon you'd be escorted into the throne room.

>"Looks like we've found out Pyro."

A man sat in the throne. Similar dressed to Kylar. And speaking of Kylar, he stood of to the side of the throne squinting at you.

>"I am Adam Pen'sly. Temporary Reign of Avarice until the High King returns. You boyo, are in quite a lot of trouble. But it seems some lucky guard has already dealt the first wave of consequences. I wanted such a pleasure."
>>
>>736822
>Hello, are you related to the man who is responsible for the slaying of several Sin devils? And of being one himself?
>>
>>737293
>"Yes, Edward Pen'sly is my father. The great man who slayed all but three of those damned devils. But what is this of my father being a sin? He'd slay sins, he'd never succumb to such depravity."
>>
>>737324
>I must have misheard then. Apologies. Anyway, HELLO KEIRA!
>Now then, should I explain the rationale behind my transgressions? Or will I be presumed guilty, of which I am by executions of my crime, and the reprecussions imposed onto Avarice hereunto, without question?
>>
>>737606
You tell Kylar hello and than make assumptions of your punishment for arson.

>"Executi...-

Kylar had made his way over to Adam and the two discussed something.

>"I see... Lucky for you, Kylar has stepped up to defend you. Speaking you an ally of the High King himself. Usually, relations with higher powers isn't an excuse for crime in the city. But I'm allowing this to pass this once simply because not much was lost in the fires you'd caused. And the poor bakers have the funding to replace what they have lost easily. Apparently some idiot came in and brought any sweets they could get their hands on sometime earlier. Usually, capital punishment would have been the price but you've already seemed to go through such actions by a unnamed guard. I should place you into the hold, but you'll quickly be forgotten if I do. No, This will be a slap on the wrist. I just warn you not to do this again."
>>
>>737804
lol OP. Reread the sentence. By "executions of my crime" I meant the act of performing the crime. Like "executing swift justice". The way the word is used hereis the same way its used in what I typed.

>>737804
>Is the magical tree over by Lysos cave a monument of sorts? Someone called it "Sacred grounds".
>>
>>737951
You'd mention the tree Lyso lived in.

>"Oh yes. Gwaddol, The Queen's Tree. Her mana runs through it. It rejects foreign mana and never lets a drop of it's own leave it.
>>
>>738055
>Ah I see. Can you tell me about magic that stops time?
>>
>>738260
Adam would have risen a brow.

>"Magic that stops time... That's something very few time magi dive into. The ability slow time or speed it up is will known and use as you might already know. But being able to stop time completely is something entirely different. A few magi capable were Author Hysaw, Xavion Ifrit, Bethseda Jesda. Any others have been forgotten to time. The ability goes against the lifestream completely just like Rifts."
>>
>>738313
>Ask to browse his royal library, state its important for a battle we're fighting alongside the high king and his allies.

>Magic that stops time
>Xavion Ifrit

Son of a fucking whore.
>>
>>738389
>"You can browse the Library. Just don't burn it down. Also, unlike the other kingdoms, we don't use lorestones. You'll have to find what you need on your own."

The guards would have moved to let you leave. Adam would have pointed at one before you could leave the room.

>"You there, take him to the library."

The guard would have moved towards you to accompany you to the library.
>>
>>738461
>Offer the guard a hug
>Let him/her lead us
>>
>>738675
You'd offer the guard a hug. He shook his head and walked out the room. You'd follow after him. It didin't take you long for you to find yourself in the library. And it didn't take long for the guard to leave.
>>
>>738812

You'd walk along the bookshelves and picked out random books that caught you eye. But kept an eye out for books that interested. You found nothing too interesting. The best thing you found was a book about Folk Tale Heroes. You'd look through it but it resembled a children's book really. So it wasn't much help.
>>
>>741144
Give another go but also keep an eye out for magic history, basic finances, enchantment, alchemy, potion making, fire sword style book and martial arts to since apparently we won't always have our sword.

You'd give it another go, with a few more thoughts on what you wanted to find. But he seemed to be even less successful than you were the first time. You didn't even find a book that was worth pulling off the shelves. This place seemed impossible to navigate around without a lorestone. Which made you question just why there weren't any around. This place was much larger than the libraries in Eldham and Far Water Combined.
>>

Ask the gaurd what the hell is up with this place
>>
>>744500
The guard from before was gone. But there was an old man wearing armor too large for him. That would have probably been the best you could get so you'd walk over and ask what was wrong with this place.

>"Oh... What was that?"

You'd ask again.

>"What?"

And again.

>"Speak up! I am having trouble hearing."
>>
>>744534
>HELLO! CAN YOU HELP ME FIND SOME BOOKS OF A CERTAIN INTEREST!?
>>
>>747287
You shout into the man's ear as loud as you could.

>"No need to shout, little girl! I can help ya'!"
>>
>>747363
I saw that coming.

>Thats great, you shriveled sack of roasted pruns.
>Can you help me locate texts on Gia, her tree, spells pertaining to stopping and slowing time, and her royal gaurd Ifrit?
>>
>>749392
>"That's nice little girl! Come along, I can help ya'!"

The old man would have started to walk towards the shelves. Slowly. He didn't seem to know where he was going at first. But than he stopped at a certain shelf and turned slowly. And than begun a slow process of getting a single book off the shelf. He did the same thing at a couple more shelves which took about an hour. And than he slowly made his way towards an area in the Library. You see he was heading towards a table after awhile. It seemed to be the only in the library. And someone was already at it, it seemed. You couldn't quite make them out from where you were.

You got to introduce yourself to the person at the table. At the table, you find a blonde female reading. Actually on the table, you find miniature versions of the female reading from books scattered over the table as well. By time she'd notice you, the old man was beside you.

>"This one is happy to see Percy... Not so happy to see Nathaniel..."

You knew who talked like that.
>>
>>750577
I actually have no idea.
>"Nathaniel agrees."
>>
>>750591
The blonde would have went back to reading. The old man on the otherhand would have given a late reaction to his greeting from the woman.

>"Hello Miss Cetus! How are you today.

The blonde would have nodded. Percy the old guard would have put the books he'd picked out for you on the table.
>>
>>750610
Oh shit. Fuck blue anon, lost us brownie points with the only friendly Avarician.

>Apologize profusely. Explain that we payed all the bakers in advance for any damages and that we lit the fires for...well that was a poor choice.
>>
>>750643
You'd start apologizing to Cetus for what you did and told her how you made up for it. And in the end, it was just a poor choice.

>"Oh... Well this one forgives you... But this one doesn't speak for the queen... She was angry."
>>
>>750692
>I will apologize to her in time too. And Ifrit. I only want to help, that includes her city and her people.
>Whatre you reasearching?
Cetus is wierd
>>
>>750724
You tell Cetus that you'd apologize to Gia and Ifrit soon. And you just wanted to help."

>"That would be best, yes... But the queen does not desire help of most... Thinks highly of her abilities... And has proved the right to do so..."

Than you'd ask what she was researching.

>"This one is not researching... Simply reading for entertainment.
>>
>>750786
>"This one is not researching... Simply reading for entertainment.
Cetus is now cool in my book.

>I see
>Thank the old prune-y
>Check out the selection of books he got us
>>
>>751124
You thank the old man and look to see what he picked out for you. You were half expecting Children's books, but surprisingly enough he'd gotten you a few books that you'd need. The others seemed to be of no relevance. The books that were of some use to you seemed to be on Gerosda History, Hand to Hand fighting, Ifrit, and Gia. The hand to hand book seemed a little generic.
>>
>>751548
>Gia
>Ifrit
>History -> Table of Contents -> relevant shit
>>
>>751659
You start off reading about Gia. The book would have started off around her mid life. Any information before that didn't seem available in the book. You read through the book and find all kind fact of Gia. Information on achievements including: command over a divine relic, building Avarice from the ground, being the only one able to defeat Sol Cythraul along with alot of other strong individuals of her time, sealing away a depraved god, and some other achievements. The sins showing up sometime in her rule, and the effort she'd started against them, the demons, and other allies of them. The list kinda went on, making you less and less hopeful that you'd ever be able to take your sword from her. She'd you skip a few pages until you found a page about her death and the tree.

>After her fight against the Moon Goddess, and sealing her away, Gia found herself weakened to the point where she was unable to rule. She kept the position regardless but stopped showing up at the palace. She'd instead go to a tree not too far off from the palace. Most say she'd named it Gwaddol. And she'd died laying under it. At her death, she'd released her mana into the tree making it grow at an incredible rate. Leaving it for all to remember her, even in death.

And the book would have ended there. And so you'd picked up the book about Ifrit. Unlike Gia's book, Ifrit's book started off in his younger life.

>He was born as a wanderer in the desert with his parents. They were fragile, so Xavion took up the habit of defending them himself. Throughout his young life he'd get progressively better at combat. Even learning magic from a member of a divine five. Come in his late Teenage years, he'd found himself in the city of Avarice. A safe haven for him and his parents. But there came an attack on Avarice. Madrigal, the sin of Greed came to challenge Gia. The Queen had yet to make it on the scene, but Xavion was. Single handedly, he'd fought the sin and fended her off. Just barely beating her. When the Queen came onto the scene, she was nevertheless impressed by Xavion's accomplishment and suggested he'd join the military. After some deciding found himself quickly climbing ranks until he found himself titled as Commander Ifrit. After finding himself with is rank, along with the Queen, he'd fight against depraved forces. But come around the time of the queen's final days, he'd forfeit his rank and stood watch over the queen until her final moments. Than up and disappeared.

You'd put the book on Xavion and picked up the one of history next. Unlike the other two, it seemed to just be page by page of relevant events. So you'd go to the table of contents and found events that interested you. Most of them you already knew about. Others you didn't. Some of those events included: Appearance of Aspa the Fluid Fighter, Golems of the Moon Goddess attack all Kingdoms, The Pride Sin helped Damien and the downfall of the sins. The list kept going.
>>
>>751778
>Moon Goddess
>Downfall of the sins. I want information on Helios and any informstion about any still-surviving sins.
>>
>>751880
You'd ask the old man for any books on this Moon Goddess and the Downfall of the sins. He would have walked off and came back with a single book in his hand.

>"Here you are little girl!"

You'd take the book and look at the cover. It was labeled "Mysteries." You'd open it and flip through some pages until you find one labeled Belial.

>Belial remains a mystery to this day. Their goal was clear, but their reason wasn't so. The Goddess desired to turn the continent into a land of it's cult members. Than move to other continents as well until it had dominance over the realm itself. It used Depraved starlit golems to spread her influence over the continent. Soon Cults for the Goddess began to show. But when these transgressions went into the Queen's attentions, she'd challenged the god and barely came out with her life. She wasn't able to defeat the goddess but rather simply seal her away. It still has some influence over certain people but has seemed to focused on other continents to present day.

You'd than flip the pages to find anything on the downfall of sins.

>Outrage through the kingdom as High King Damien makes allies with a Sin. The Sin was offered the opportunity to run it's own kingdom and the ability to govern Demons that have given up their weapons and no longer desire to fight. This cause other sins to act more aggressively against all. In a public attack on Far Water Madrigal was slain by Sol Cythraul. In another public attack, Etrigan was slain by Current Champion Erica Cythraul but not without Past Champion Edward Pen'sly losing his life fighting the sin. Helios was also on the scene but managed to flee before being slain as well. Lyso gave up early and took rest in Gwaddol for the rest of his days. A movement was made to slay Lyso, but he was quickly deemed not a threat by High King Dominick by suggestion of Dominick Cythraul. As for the other sins, they were never seen slain but presumed dead by Pen'sly before his time came.
>>
>>751933
I want information on any sins without confirmed deaths. They undoubtedly want revenge for what weve heard thus far. Give them that chance. An enemy of my enemy is my friend, yes?
>>
>>751962
You tell the old man that you'd want information on any sins without a confirmed death. Instead of him answering you, Cetus would

>"Nathan can find all he seeks... In that book in his hands... This one would know."

You flip through the pages of the Mysteries book again. On certain pages you'd stop. Those pages had title that caught your attention.

>Iron Stomach: A female with purple hair and a large sword showed up not to long ago in the year 972. She'd show up in a tavern in Far water that was holding a eating contest for the realm's most disgusting food. She'd won with a breeze to say the least. The very same female showed up at various other eating contest to eat to her heart's content, and winning all of these contest without a worry. When asked her name, she'd refused to give it. Her comment being, "It's a name no one ever liked." She remains a mystery to today, only showing herself at eating contest for some reason.

>The Dancer: A Free Lance Tavern Dancer who makes men from every reach of the continent want to see her perform. Even if it was only for a few brief moments. Many call this trait of her an intoxicating ability. Other traits of the woman would include her ability to maintain youthful look and her moves that manage to enthrall most men that witness them. Any information on the woman stays a mystery as she manages to disappear after her contacts were up with the Tavern she'd worked with.

That was just about all you could find. Since you knew of Helios(Envy), Galeron(Pride), and Lyso(Sloth). And Etrigan(Wrath) and Madrigal(Greed) were known to be slain.
>>
>>752060
Glutton and Lust dont sound too combat-proficient. Ask Cetus if she can recall anything on them.
>>
>>752475
You'd doubt both of the sin's proficiency in combat. So you'd ask Cetus if she could recall anything on any of them.

>"Lavain ate away at other's mana... Than ate them after... gaining strength in that manner... Lilith is a... Power Occult Magi... Never fights for herself... Makes those enthralled do things for her.
>>
>>752486
>Can you recall how to contact them? Or their favorite 'secret' places?

Long day. Turning in--night, OP.
>>
Color might have changed.
---
>>754557
You'd ask if Cetus knew how to contact them, or where they like to spend most of their time.

>No... But as far as this one knows... Lavain is where the most food is... and Lilith where the stupidest men are...

Cetus would have squinted at you for a moment as she said that. Was she implying something?

>Both basically wanderers....
>>
>>754660
>I am not stupid. I am an idiot. There's a distinct difference.
>Thank you.
>Let's head for Lavain first. Ask for money from someone who sponsors us and get a guard as well. Maybe Herald or Mavis? Maybe Dominick if he's free? Ask Kylar if we can rift. Correct me if Im mistake, didn't one of them come here?
>>
>>757395
You tell Cetus there was a difference, but thank her for the information anyway. Than you'd decide to go for Lavain first. You needed money for a idea in mind. You thought of getting some money from Herald and Mavis. But they were still in Eldham. Dominick was probably around. You still had to feeling he was watching you. Kylar was probably in the throne room still with Adam. Do you call for Dominick or go to Kylar?
>>
>>757481
>Kylar

So what are we doing, hunting sins?
Kill them, recruit them?
>>
>>757495
You'd decide to go to Kylar first. You'd wave goodbye to Cetus and thank the old man. Than leave the library. Now to find your way to th throne room. After some trial and error, you found your way back in about thirty minutes. You'd enter the throne room. You'd see Adam and Kylar discussing something. They didn't even give you a moment to look at you.
>>
>>757495
Recruit them. Helios had enemies and we need friends. An enemy of my enemy is my friend, yeah? They don't like Helios too much according to what I've read thus far. He took our powers--we're taking his life.

And OP, allow me to elaborate.

1. I meant to convey that we ask a leader to lend us a financial aid: Veridia, Johnathan, High King (forgot his name already), etc. Adam can suffice.

2. Then get a guard to accompany us and subsequently keep us safe. Or try to. That can be Herald or Mavis only because that's the bro and bro-sis, respectively. Not neccessary, just cool. It can also be Dominick. I want someone powerful.

3. Speak to Kylar, explain to him our plan--and Adam as well if we plan to ask him for financial support. Then ask him if it's possible to rift. Also, what is Lavain, how far is it, and how do we get there via manual travel.
>>
>>757884
You'd go over to Adam and ask him for funding. He would have squinted at you for a moment, and you had the worry that he'd say no. But than he'd just shrug.

>"Why not. The old man likes you for some reason, sure he won't mind if we lend you some currency for...whatever."

He'd clapped twice and a guard came running over. He'd tell the guard to go retrieve some currency from the treasury room. The guard ran off and came back with a chest with straps on it. That wouldn't be too good for you back after what Xavion did to you. But now you'd need a guard. Since you were in Avarice and not in Eldham, Herald and Mavis were not available to you.

So Dominick would have to do. You have to get him alittle later, as you weren't finish here just yet. Before went off you needed to do two things. First, you'd tell Kylar and Adam of your plan. And than told them if it was a possible to rift. And what was Lavain, how far it was, and how did you get there.

>"Lavain is the Gluttony sin... And the sins are all dead except for Lyso and Helios apparently. But yeah, we have runes that you can rift you to places. Also the Rift Mage Martha is around the kingdom somewhere. Setting up transports with the Rune Mage Linda. You could possibly go to them for runes. But it would be easily to access our pre made runes."
>>
>>757941
>Four pre-made to-Lavain runes would be great.
>>
>>757951
Adam would have shook his head.

>"Lavain is dead. A sin killed by my father before his time."
>>
>>757961
>What really? I thought Lavain and Lilith's deaths were never cofirmed? And by the way (shit, I confused Laban for a place), where can you find the "may food" and "the stupidest men" in Gerosda?
>>
>>757983
>Laban
Lavain
>>
>>757983
>may food
most food
>>
>>757983
>"They were never witnessed by they were confirmed by my father."

So many holes there. Best to ignore them before you end doing something stupid. And so you instead ask about most food and stupidest men might be in Gerosda.

>"Well for food, there is a Tavern in Chepstow that recently reopened after a metal machine came running through and destroying things. With the reopening, they're holding a eating contest with free booze. A encourage to bring people back. As for the stupidest men... There's a village of Cyclops in the desert. No cyclops are exactly intelligent but that village have the dumbest of the dumbest."
>>
>>758018
>TO CHEPSTOW. DOMINICKS GUNNA LOVE THIS.
Oh OP, the little things you do to move the plot forward
>Thank you, bye. Don't die when I'm gone
>>
>>758067
Lets go find Dominick now while shouting about asthmatic monkeys as we leave the throne room.
>>
>>758080
Oh but first offer both of them a hug
>>
>>758067
>>758080
You shout Chepstow and Dominick's name, saying that he would love it there.

>"Your damn straight, I will"

Your eyes moved over to the side, to the arm leaning on your shoulder. Alittle more to the side, and you say Dominick, drinking from his flask.

>"Well, we should get going."

Dominick would have picked up the Chest and started walking off. You'd tell goodbye to Kylar and Adam and follow after Dominick.

>"We're taking that metal machine of yours. The one the blonde made for you. I want to take a nap and I don't want to trust you with the currency. Plus, I don't like rifts all too much. Never know where you'll end up."

You'd two exit the Palace and started walking through the city.
>>
>>758100
They both turn down your hug.
>>
>>758102
Forward!
>Let's go find that machine!
>>
>>758102
Lets go then.
ask if he believes us now after seeing that time stopping prick retaliate after the fires.
>>
>>758113
You'd two continued forth towards the jeep. On the way you'd ask if he'd believe Xavion was alive. He would have tilted his head.

>"I don't know what your talking about. I only saw you lighting fires one moment, and the next you were beaten to the stars down the road the next. It was really strange I must say."

It wasn't too long before it came into sight. Around it, multiple thieves stood around it. Probably trying to figure out how to steal it. Dominick would have dropped the chest and pulled out his sword. The bandits took notice to him and drew their daggers. They'd all charged at him. Dominick wouldn't have slashed at any of them once. He'd instead decided to dodge all of their attacks and trip them instead. After, he'd hit them all on the head one by one knocking them out.

Dominick would have than retrieved the chest and jumped into the jeep and hit the side of it a few times. He was rushing you.

>"Come on, Come on. The faster the better. I need some booze. I haven't had a good hangover in daaaaaayyys."

He'd laid back waited. You'd go over and get into the jeep. You'd put your hand on the orb and the circuits of the jeep would have than lit up blue. But than you felt a killer pain in your hand and pulled your hand off the orb.

Th thought soon came across your mind.

Your mana circuits were still messed up.
>>
>>758203
Fuuuuck
>So my mana circuits are kinda messed up
>So you want to join or should we go and find Martha
>>
>>758267
>"I can go find her... You'll just slow me down."

Dominick would have looked at the chest and sighed.

>"Distract yourself until I can bring her back... Don't get the chest stolen."

Dominick would have gotten out of the jeep and walked off into the crowd until he was out of sight. Than you were at the jeep alone.
>>
Rolled 6 (1d6)

>>758290
It's going to get stolen.
>>
>>758297
Praise the Sun! In D&D, we roll for encounters. I think it's actually the lowest you roll, the safer you are.

But oh well :D This isn't D&D. Up to you to take this roll-encounter system
>>
>>758297
You sit back in the jeep and wait for Dominick. There were thieves around but you put on your best menacing look to keep them away. It seemed to make them stay back with the thought that you knew how to hold them all back if they tried to rush, even though you'd be powerless if they did.

And with that Dominick would have appeared from the crowd pulled Martha by the ear. Martha seemed to be trying to fight back but she didn't do very good at that really

When he finally got over to you, he'd let go of Martha. Martha would have slapped him across the face. Than looked to you and slapped you across the face.
>>
>>758366
>Offer her a hug
>>
>>758378
She'd slap you across the face again.
>>
>>758446
Uh
>Offer her a hug again
>>
>>758562
Before she could slap you across the face again, Dominick would have grabbed her hand and put it back down to her side.

>"Look we need a rift to Chepstow. Can you provide us with the instead of slaps?"

She'd told him that it would cost us. Dominick made his way of to the chest in the truck and pulled out some of the platinum inside. Than he came back over and handed it to Martha.

>"Is that enough?"

She would have opened a rift at the question and gestured you and him to go in. Dominick would have pushed you in and you found yourself infront of the Tavern in Chepstow. Boards covered a whole that seemed to have been made by something large. Aerith's mech. Than there was a line of people trying to get inside as well. You'd look back at the rift and Dominick was stepping out carrying the chest. Once he was through, the rift closed.

>"The place is packed..."
>>
>>758612
Ask him to look around for anyone who looks...glutinous. A elaborate while maybe exhumes an aura if depravity.
>Look around ourselves. But stick with Dominick.
>>
>>758708
>elaborate while
A woman*

Going to need to find out how to turn off auto correct
>>
>>758708
You'd ask Dominick to look for anyone that could be the sin. Than you went to look yourself. But you didn't stray too far from Dominick. You two would have made the struggle to get inside. Once you two made it inside, you'd come to notice alot of individuals in the room looked Glutinous really. And in the back of the room, a stage seemed to be set up. Tables on the stage and a near mountain of food on each individual table.

Than, there was only one person per table. They all seemed to be eattng to their hearts content. Some slower than others. But none faster than one individual. They seemed to be eating at a lightning pace. Waitresses kept dumping food on the table but they didn't seem to be able to keep up with how fast the individual was eating. You couldn't see their appearance just yet. Food still stood in the way, but it wouldn't be too long before that food was gone. You'd looked to Dominick, but he wasn't there. He was instead at the counter drinking. Were you expecting anything else really?
>>
>>758765
>Try the get a look
>>
>>759140
You'd attempt to get a closer look. But it doesn't seem to work out very well, as there was a large crowd in the way. Attempt to push pass them seemed have result you getting pushed further and further in the back. Away from the stage. Soon your vision would have been blurry of the stage all the way in the back. But you could tell one quick eater was already finish with their mountain of food, as they had their hands up. Cheers would have roared through the Tavern. You couldn't quite made out much beside the trait of purple hair.
>>
>>759469
Obviously the only way we're getting close is by joining the contest. Sign the fuck up

You'd decide to join the eating contest yourself. You'd shout the desire and the crowd would have suddenly moved for you to head up to the front. You did so. There was no sign up sheet or anything. But instead, a open seat at one of the tables on the stage. You'd walk onto the stage and took a seat. Some Waitresses would have started coming and leaving dumping food on the table. Soon a mountain of food was in front of you. You'd look over to your side to see the purple haired female. She didn't look too gluttonous but depravity was indeed a feeling coming from her. There was a large sword on her back, lightly armored, and she sure was eating like there wasn't going to be a tomorrow. She didn't even take the time to notice you. She was definitely the sin you were looking for.
>>
>>760886
>>760405
This is a bad idea...

>we should definitely NOT eat
>But this is anons idea so let him decide
>>
>>761641
>>760886
Seriously? Not here? Alright, I'll bite.

Can we pretend to be a food server? I don't like the idea of incapacitating ourselves or losing track of her by eating too much.
>>
>>763059
You'd attempt to make yourself look like a food server of some kind. But it doesn't seem to work since most of the room heard you say that you wanted to be in the contest. Alot of people just stare at you confuse and Lavain still hasn't taken much notice to you regardless.
