Whirlpool Quest returns in 3 days at most

>>666696
>Did the players ever do anything you never expected? What happened?
Diplomancy route, some unexpected third-way solutions and making good use of the fact that the MC can integrate objects into her suit

>Where did you get the art for your quest from?
Paint.NET and Google Images

>Do you trust the anons of your favorite quest to make wise/good decisions without you?

Shit nigger, I don't trust MYSELF to make wise/good decisions.

> House & SurveyDominion

See the spoiler, we good.

> BQ

Is dead at long last. What fucking retard picks 5 math courses in one semester?

> Sith Apprentice Quest

Better now that more people from the first arc are coming back, and remembering that we play a diplomancer who uses stabby diplomacy a lot and is generally pretty happy and positive instead of edgelord, but still a Sith and all about that. Still kind of an edgelord, taciturn or arrogant when he does talk and all about absolutely crushing opponents. And the S&M threesome. Damn it, read the archives otherwise he comes off as a total edgelord.

> RE: Monster Quest\

It's going to end up with the MC in a very lacy spider dress. But that's just fate, not the players fault.
>>
>>666696
>Did the players ever do anything you never expected? What happened?
Not me, but a friend of mine who introduced me to questing allegedly tried to start a Death Note Quest that got derailed by everyone making the MC burn the book.

As for me, I write by the seat of my pants so the point of the matter is that most of what they do is unexpected because I rarely plan more than one or two updates ahead, if at all.

>Where did you get the art for your quest from?
Deviantart and Safebooru.
>>
>>666696
>Did the players ever do anything you never expected? What happened?
We waifu'd Incog, which I was not expecting AT ALL, mostly because I started her personality off as clingy and annoying and generally not good at the game.

>Where did you get the art for your quest from?
Google searches as needed, and a very based player who did some image editing.

>Do you trust the anons of your favorite quest to make wise/good decisions without you?
I don't really have a choice, they make dumb decisions no matter what I say.

If your next arc requires players to make a certain choice in the beginning for all of your planning to work, should you railroad them into it? By writing the OP as such that the players are forced to take that route? Or is that being too Velo?
>>
>>666696

>Did the players ever do anything you never expected? What happened?

Everything that happened in the first thread I made. It was an extremely fun clusterfuck, I wish I handed it better though.

>Where did you get the art for your quest from?

I draw it. Drawing is fun.

>Do you trust the anons of your favorite quest to make wise/good decisions without you?

Yes, they are smarter than me so they usually pick better alternatives, I'm just happy enjoying the ride while voting.
>>
>>666970
Have all your prompts look different but ultimately lead to the same thing.

Like a Telltale game. Only the anons will never know cause they can't replay that part again in your quest.

Can I ask a question to all the QM's?

On a scale of Never to Banished Quest, how often do your players make decisions they know are bad decisions?
>>
>>666696
>QM Question

Read my quest desu senpai.
Also ace my secret hidden boss in the academy long before I ever expected.
Also make me fan art.

I just cycle through cool art I found on the internet.

Also how's everyone doing today?
>>
>>666970
I usually go with this >>666986
>>
>>666724
>I don't trust MYSELF to make wise/good decisions.
I feel like all of us are torn between hoping someone else has an answer, and terrified that anyone else will have an answer.
>>
>>666996
Somewhere around Banished Quest, they just walked in on what sounded like Asuna and Kirito -FROM THE ABRIDGED WORLD, WHERE ASUNA IS A YANDERE- having sex.

Granted that's not what was actually going on, but still, jesus people.
>>
>>666970
If your planning has any set prerequisite choices you're already railroading, as train conducting of the mind is all the same difference from a player perspective.

They might be okay with it. If not, you might be better off framing it as a natural choice for their character through whatever flaws they have, and present it as a situation that the players/characters flaws resulted in which they now need to address it. A side effect of that may have players changing their character to prevent it if it's a repeatable situation. It's still choo choo, but it's hidden because the results are managed character-centrically.

Alternatively, have a standoffish or asshole character make the choice for them or try to force it. It really depends on the situation, but keep in mind all of this is going to be obvious in hindsight.

>>
>>666724
It's pretty annoying how the players circle jerk about how cool and special using "joy" as a sith is when really it's just kinda stupid
>>
>>666996
Closer to never then Banished, but I've literally had anons say 'fuck it' when they vote, so it's for sure not Never.
>>
>>666696
>Did the players ever do anything you never expected? What happened?

In an old quest they made the MC a middle aged Congolese refugee. Fizzled out from time commitments and lack of voters.

In Ninja Monk Quest, they made the MC a practitioner of skills used almost exclusively as plot devices in the canon Naruto series. Still happening, though I have several directions I think the story could go.

I enjoy it though, makes me think on my feet and is a break from the everyday math.

>Where did you get the art for your quest from?
art comes from what I can find, no artfags :(

>>666996
Probably close to never but I can't really say. Anons seem to just roll with my punches.

>QM Question

Reading my quests to be honest. Also buttering up to being the BBEG's fuck-toy in my new one I run I guess.
>>
>>666996
The Mask and intimidating Lucky were not bad decisions.
>>
>>667001
>Also ace my secret hidden boss in the academy long before I ever expected.

Git Gud
>>
>>666696
On a regular basis. Well over time they have gotten even smarter and more regular about it.

Reached the point where they knew how to annihilate entire mega plots with but a single post...clever bastards. I ain't ever seen something like that in other quests but its becoming a regular thing with mine. Seriously man I swear its becoming ever more common and the only good thing is it takes them awhile to concoct it all the while they pay very close attention...if this keeps up my only hope is political game. Wars haven't been good to me ever since they somehow transformed into tactical genius. Even when I used Nightmare level challenges that they chose. Was expecting a slaughter instead they regularly annihilated the enemy with ingenious plans which even bad rolls couldn't stop. I was equally parts proud, horrified, and impressed. I remember when they used to be a bunch of dumbasses...which was years ago now that I think of it. Holy shit i been running for far too long.

At least it takes them awhile to come up with their insanely good plans...though I find myself questioning my own ability. Despite the claims I am such a bastard with how insanely complicated and interlinking web it is. They are getting quite good at taking apart said webs.

If they keep this up though its only a matter of time before they manage to take down one of the big boys. Can't say I am not looking forward to it as its going to be very interesting to see...hopefully by not seducing the goddamn BBEG this time though. Never before would I have imagined waifuing would be a legitimately good strategy in my setting. Those lovely clever bastards...

Google and artfags if I am really lucky.
>>
>>667106
I thought OP said no shitposting?

I kid, but they were stupid decisions. Like turning down Atma's (or whatever his complicated name was) offer to be a disciple. So was the Crown. And not killing the kid.

The worst has to be turning Chryssa down.
>>
>>666696
>Did the players ever do anything you never expected? What happened?

I think the bigger question is to ask if the players have ever done something you actually expected.
>>
>>667125
What quest do you run?
>>
>>667125
>>667141
I too would like to know
>>
>>667134
Stupid decisions, insofar as companions have called them out, sure. But I would argue against them being labeled as bad decisions.

After all without that hostage situation escalating things then how else were we getting off Namek? Cleverness? Doubtful.

The Crown was a productive limit test, and I imagine the armor will be similar given its history. Further, not killing the kid was a positive mark on Mikael as a character.

Turning down an offer for power and minced souls was certainly a let down, but I'd put it more under playing a character that prefers noncommittal shortcuts.
>>
>>667136
Not really, when I was running on /tg/ my players were quite predictable.
>>
>>666696
>Do you trust the anons of your favorite quest to make wise/good decisions without you?
I don't trust myself or other players. But I do trust the QM to pull off a tasteful, satisfactory, or entertaining update. And really, that's all I need.
>>
>>666696
>Did the players ever do anything you never expected? What happened?

I didn't expect them to play catch using their teammate's sister as a ball.

The whole fiasco in my first thread, when I accidentally said 'roll 99 to win' on a crazy write-in a player made. I took the only route out left to me and pushed onward to the next thread. I try to remember that and keep craziness of that degree from occurring as much as humanly possible.

Currently possess a folder of over 10000 maid pics, which I use as headers. I've commissioned art for my MC, though. My art skills are....extremely bad

It's just pictures. My quest has nothing to do with zombies, necromancers, or vampires. We've had hobos that drank blood like vampires, psychics, telepathic men, and experiments gone wrong....but none of the prior three. And a lot of guns, knives, bullets, and explosives. Or was there explosives...scratch that, we've as of yet to blow anything up with explosives. Here's the MC.

Write ins are hard on the players who are unfamiliar still and QMs if you don't know what your getting into.

I speak from experience. Write ins have become my players favorite weapon.

Mostly because they know if they try hard enough they can throw me off and make unexpected things happen. Usually to their own benefit.

I will admit a big part of it being my unwillingness to say no. I just wait to see if their idea pick up steam and modify the DCs accordingly.

Good enough plans can even null ugly rolls and devastate the game in general. Like the time they seduced the fucking BBEG. I never expected such cohesion and clever planning for the sake of an waifu while ignoring everything else. Credit is to where credit is do though it not only got the job done they also got a waifu and happy ever after...just did not see the whole seducing the BBEG coming. Gotta admit I honestly should of seen it coming when they did it again THE VERY NEXT QUEST except that time destroying the meta plot instead of just ignoring it. Should not have made that evil waifu quest a starter option as bait...but damn it I thought I might stood a chance if I knew what I was getting into from the beginning that time around.

So hey that is an improvement...right? They destroyed it instead of ignoring it that time...is an improvement yes?

Now i have the morbid curiosity to see what they'll do with an entire harem who hates each other...but I got the bad feeling they somehow wil figure out a way to weaponize them and find something even bigger to destroy or figure out how to make them all love each other instead of hate for a happy ever after. I don't know which one they'll settle on but my money is on one of them.

Then again I been around long enough for write ins to be the most popular option. Early on they are rare even for my stuff until the players adjust accordingly.

I'm much more in love with the setting and the ideas behind it then any one piece of work desu. It's why I give so little regard to some of the the things George Lucas has said in regards to the setting.

Well, I have an idea for a thematic and general vibe I want, but it's pretty scatterbrained I guess. I can GM but my games are generally very loose, despite players assuring me i'm good at it. My strong suit is apparently decent NPCs, but I don't generally believe them.

To put it plainly, i've got ideas of things I want in it or to happen in it, but not an actual cohesive force.

So either I can go with my thinly veiled "This is just so I can have guns, vehicles and general aesthetics I want" quest or just do Kamen Rider.

I can honestly say a lot of the same. The narrative structure of the original trilogy was about as perfect as it gets....add the layers of the universe-building done on top of that....

Thank god for star wars.

Force Awakens just couldn't fail. It was pretty much a new star wars film built using the same thematic skeleton as A New Hope, but with the funding of Disney behind it.

Did you ever see the Star Wars animated series directed/created by the same guy who made Samurai jack?

Question for QMs, do you find that players prefer prompts or writing in their own responses when given the chance?
>>
>>667919
I've done my whole quest without prompts, allowing the players to go open ended with their options. They've liked it so far I think, and I've enjoyed and been surprised by their creativity.
>>
>>667919

I used to in my last quest, but then my players said it was faster to give optional prompts.

They were right about it being much faster. Occasionally I do get other options chosen, so I think its a good balance so long as the choices are not placebo choices.

I really like write ins. The problem that I have with them is that it can take an age for people to come up with one, and that it takes forever for them to gain traction.

If you're going write-ins only on minor decisions, you've fucked up. Those things are just not interesting enough to justify it. Save them for big dilemmas, or selecting dialog at critical moments, don't use them when your character goes shopping or whatever.

Nothing wrong with a healthy mix of prompts and write-ins. I also like to use prompts only for totally binary choices where there's no compromise available.
>>
>>667919
I generally do prompts, but with an option for writeins, and the players are generally free to modify said prompts. It's largely for ease.

They put up with my incompetence. I still haven't figured out why they would do that.

Danbooru and Pinterest mainly.

>>667919
Both! Offer prompts to keep the flow and guide the players while being open to write-ins from those players who are extra invested in the quest / current events. Sometimes players may want to add their own touch to the prompts given, sometimes they want to do something completely different from what you thought of, and as long as it's in character then everything's perfect.

I know as a player I absolutely love when the QM acknowledges my attempts at adding to the character through a custom line, so I try my best to show everyone at least a little love, even though it can be hard sometimes. My players are really good at getting into the mind of the MC and I wish I could reward them for it more than I do.
>>
>>668171
>I know as a player I absolutely love when the QM acknowledges my attempts at adding to the character through a custom line
This annoys me so much. Not all players can tell when they're being in-character, and most write-ins for speeches will be not actually in the character's voice. It's especially awful when the GM puts in the speech without changing it. MCs are not meant to be ventriloquist dummies.

'Adding to the character' means 'being OOC'.

Yes. Generally, anons are quite capable.

But: Long running quests attract new players too, who don't know the whole story, so they sometimes decide on things that don't fit the MC... some discussion solves that though.

Jokers can be annoying but don't infest many quests often.

>>668194
Well I hope you're not one of my players then, if you're not happy with the way an MC is written. If you have a disagreement with your QM about whether or not the MC would do a thing or say a thing, you should really put that to voice and hopefully prompt a civil discussion about the matter. A group of people will never have the exact same image of the MC, but you should at least be looking in the same general direction, and if you're not that needs to be cleared up!

Lemme know what you guys think of this.

>Dead End Academy

You're an orphan, a failure at school, and the government is going to change you to a different support plan, and enroll you at a boarding school you've never head of before, Sunnyside Academy.

Which is effectively a kind of prison.

There, you quickly discover that you're going to be armed and being trained to be a child soldier to fight against the "Eldritch", otherworldy beasts which regularly spawn near school grounds to assault it. Along that, you're also forced to recieve constant experimentation and drugs which grant you superhuman abilities, along other, unexpected results. Being granted Eldritch contamination is commonplace, and while it grants you amazing powers, it eats away at your mind and flesh, slowly deforming and killing you from inside.

You goal is to at least not die, not ruin your body and life too much, and escape or graduate, and leave all of the horrors behind.

Like, I just care so much about it as opposed to most every other quest. Like, DLQ is okay but there's never any real feeling of failure. Dying and shit yes, but we all know we're on rails for like 90% of the quest.

Valen quest makes me feel like my choices and especially write-ins are important.

If you have Android, find Infinite Painter in Google Play.
Sketch your picture on a physical piece of paper.
Take a picture with your camera, make sure there's no shadows and the lighting is good (you may need to hold the paper up with one hand, or tack/magnet it to a wall).
Open Painter, load image as a layer.
On the top layer, trace your line-work with a thin ink or sketch tool; or brush if you want that sort of aesthetic. Throw in color too, if you like.
When you're done, delete the photo base, and voila, it's like you made a fresh picture.
Yes, you will make mistakes, especially if you just use your finger. But you'll git gud with practice. I'm actually thinking about running a quest, and I plan on using the afformentioned methods due to plain, photographed sketches looking like manufactured ass, and due to not being willing to settle for pictures on the Internet (damn stubbornness).

tl;dr

> Did the players ever do anything you never expected? What happened?
In RE: Animated (rest in piece) the players decided to talk to the manticore rather than just going straight for the throat. This ended in them getting a manticore mount, which later became a hellfire infused dire manticore through the capricious whims of the gods of battle.

> Where did you get the art for your quest from?
I love Larro's art, and request it when I can. His style is very simple and cute. I've also commissioned plenty of art from LimeBreaker, who is extremely talented (though I try to warn people he draws a lot of furry and hyperdick futas).

Also, for those who don't know, I've started a new quest and would really love sharing it with as many people as possible. It's called Gorgon Child Quest, and much like the name would suggest, it's the story of a tiny snake haired child and her giant, gorgoness mother trying to live on the fringes of human society.

It's kind of cute, slice of life.

Drawthreads and requests are fairly unreliable, since nobody is under any obligation to take up your request. But, well, it doesn't cost you anything so you can keep asking if the first time around doesn't work.

If you want a reliable, consistent way of getting art, you either draw everything yourself, attract a drawfag to your quest, or commission a relatively reputable artist.

Story threads are good, that's true. My favourite 2 of all time in no particular order are: The Rogue-bear who bluffed his way to lofty heights and had everyone believing he was simply a man who spoke common. And then of course he fails a roll, against exactly 1 person who sees through his bullshit but is dragged away as a madman for implying the bear-rogue is actually a bear. Good shit.

Secondly, the Shadowrun story times with 2D, Trout and the crew getting up to ridiculous shenanigans.

>Do you trust the anons of your favorite quest to make wise/good decisions without you?
Generally, yes.

Every once in awhile though, fuck no. It's mostly a thread by thread basis, actually, more of a quest by quest basis. Every once in awhile a quest will attract one or two mega-autists that will shitpost nonstop and completely derail everything. These same people will show up in every thread just like the rest of us, except instead of just sort of talking and participating like civil people, they will fuck everything up over and over.

I used to think that one or two bad apples in a quest wouldn't make a big difference, but every once in awhile assholes derail threads, the atmosphere becomes tense and shitty because of them, and when that happens constructive discussion nosedives and things go awry.

By and large though, I do trust the average poster. I'm just saying there are a couple of literal pieces of shit that are bent on ruining everything.
>>
>>669543
>>669546
>>669561

I guess it's just a wild rumor, because I see no shitstorms on drawfagging yet.
>>
>>667025
It makes perfect sense in context, and though I understand that people circle-jerking about how unique the character is can get kinda annoying, it's perfectly fine because that's just people being really hyped and pleased with the direction of the character.

It's like saying people that are really happy with their new cars are circle jerking just because they're talking about it. Maybe they are, but generally I'd prefer to think of that behavior as endearing more than anything else, it's bitter as fuck to actively bitch about it.

People are going to want to talk about the stuff they like, it's not a fucking surprise. Matter of fact, it's probably the sign that the players are engaged, at least more so then when everyone is berating each other over shit that pisses them off.
>>
Here's a question for some players.
Are there any mechanics or concepts you haven't seen explored in a quest that you might like to see?
Settings, tropes, relationships, ect?
>>
So we have writefags and drawfags for quests but has there been any other kind of fags that do stuff for their QMs?

I remember someone actually buying a figure for a QM or was that a rumour?
>>

>Settings
There's not really enough OC settings in general in my opinion. Most settings are based off existing franchises or are just aping broad schemas. Basically, we have lots of quests based on specific anime, and a lot of quests based on generic anime concepts.

I respect the balls it takes to run something wholly original, but nobody fucking reads those quests because they all want to eat up what essentially amounts to fanfiction of settings they've already seen before (Not talking shit about your Star Wars the Old Republic quest, but that's an example of a quest that is essentially fanfiction that people are eager to eat up, that's just how it do. It be how it is.)

>Tropes
No real opinions on this.

>Relationships
True comrades. Think Johnny and Gyro from SBR. Not enough quests really do that, and if they try they don't usually do it well.

If you look at something like, say, Homeless Mutant Quest's JJ and Lara, that's an example of it done well. The characters rely on each other and regularly have each other's backs, sometimes over conflicts that the other character has no real stake in beyond their teammate caring about them.

A lot of the time in quests the NPC's become supporting stat blocs with no real arcs of their own, I'm not about that.

I think NPC's should be more than just plot devices, if the players are capable of getting attached enough to someone specific that they feel like they can't operate without them comfortably, or that they actually wish they were around to have their backs, something good has been achieved. Esprit de Corps happens depressingly seldomly.

That's also part of the reason characters end up on harem routes a lot; when all the npc's feel like tools to be utilized, the players don't feel any particular kind of loyalty to anyone and just do whatever they want, not wanting to be held down.

But as far as teammates and allies are concerned, being willingly "held down" by them is actually a good thing. It means people give a shit.
>>
>>671399
No offense taken, truthfully I agree with you, I had two stabs at OC quests, which I started in tandem with SAQ which I sadly started just before the two times I've gone dark.

Now that I know I have a reliable reader base again I think I might start the more recent one 'Steal Back the Stars Quest' back up again.
>>
>>671478
Just realized how fucked up the structure of that first sentence was, lets try again.

I've run two seperate OC quests, one just before the first time I went dark which was Sell Sword Quest (the tale of a Fantasy Nord who travels to Fantasy Japan after being banished from his village to make a living). The second I started just before the second time I went dark.
>>
>>671478
>>671490
Yeah, that was so many months ago I actually forgot they existed and that it was you that was writing them!

Did we ever actually get off that rock in Steal Back the Stars? There was a lot of potential there.

I can't remember what happened after we were fucking up that shack full of bad guys in Sell Sword Quest, I assume that's around the time you stopped running it.

Also, badass viking shield-maid (male) and Gambler's hat master race, burly vikings and tricorn peasants need not apply.
>>
>>671512
We never got off the rock, but we were getting there. And I agree, I have a deep and throbbing passion for pirates, and they feel so right in a sci-fi setting.

Shack full of bad guys is basically where it ended. I would honestly bring them both back, but I know wouldn't want to dilute the frequency of SAQ that much.
>>
>>671525
Well, I'm not gonna recommend you a course of action because I don't know the limits you have and I'd hate to tell you to inadvertently become a stress hermit again, but I will say that Steal Back the Stars was pretty dope and I'd like to see where it was going.

To be honest, I was actually more interested in that one than in Sith Quest back in the day just because it was so fresh; I already know everything about the Old Republic's universe, takes away a bit of the joy of discovery which is something that space games should theoretically be all about.
>>
>>666696

>QM Questions:

I'm honestly amazed that all two of my players have stuck by my quest(s) for so long, especially as I was a heartless, clueless idiot that would cause shitstorms left and right when I was first starting out.

Aside from getting lucky with my last quest getting two pieces of fan art, I get all of my art from Da Interwebs because I'm an ideas guy that has no real artistic talent and no drawfags read my quest.

>Player Question:

It depends on the quest and the playerbase. If it were MHQ I would be mostly certain that the players would be doing the right course of action until Cain Labs pulls a 180; If it were Not So Glorious, less so.

Also, how my house didn't get burned to the fucking ground, I will never know. But, I'm in here late to announce that The King of Fighter's Quest: Reborn #12 will most likely start tomorrow (10/8/16) at the usual 10 AM PST/1 PM EST/5 PM GMT time.
>>
>>671209
>mechanics or concepts
Not exactly city, but culture building. Creating the infrastructure/motivation to change the lifestyles and practices of your ants-I mean people.

Inventions. Cobbling together junk and scifi-jargon into questionably plausible tools. I guess my main problem is that I dislike "works on EVERYTHING, FOREVER" type loopholes. I prefer that everything is janky and accepts mechanical impracticality in favor of doing really cool shit, rather than every single item breaking the game and making actual combat pointless.

>Tropes
We'd had a lot of Unreliable Narrator and unintentionally becoming evil, but I wonder about the other side of Corruption. You are being Corrupted, you can watch it as it happens and track the progress, and you have to do X while you still can/it's still important to you.

>Relationships
Twins and Triplets. Not necessarily natural ones, since you could get clones or something, but the dynamics and interactions they can provide.

>Settings
Floating Islands are still dead as fuck. The longest running quest that had it didn't have much of a following and died a slow death.

We need more 20 minutes into the future AR stuff. Battle Network, Netrunner(sort of), Appmon, blending the virtual with the real.

Tribal/Village settings. Education and Religion are nearly one and the same, and a lot of mechanics are closed to you simply because your characters themselves do not understand most of the underlying concepts. Smaller scale conflicts that make give back the awe in continent-wide events.
>>
>>671729
Well, I'm starting a quest set on floating islands tomorrow, in case you're interested. Not an original setting, though, and the fact that the islands are floating isn't focused on much. Still, it's something.

Quick gauge of interest before I think about starting a quest.

Here's the premise:

So you're the eternal bro of the chosen one, been friends forever, he's the meeker one, you're the explosive hammy one. Thing is while you're real fucking strong, the MC's chosen one abilities continually power up both him and everyone else in the group, excluding you.

So the party's like 2/3 of the way into their adventure, but you know they're planning on dumping you at the next town because you're just so far below their superhuman abiltiies that you're just a risk to them now. Though they haven't outright told you so, you know it's gonna happen after this one last quest, so you've got just this time to prove you're not a liability to them and/or get a power up or you will get dumped when you reach the next town.
>>
>>672037
Sounds dumb and gimmicky.

3/10

Good for a first quest since you're going to drop it and quit QMing maybe five threads in at most.
>>
>>672037
If it has enough postmodernistic genre awareness I'm on board.
>>
>>672037
The premise itself sounds....adequate. But the way you're presenting it gives me a less than optimistic feeling.

It feels closer to standard shonen than standard jrpg.
>>
>>672037
How well do you write individual characters and character interaction? Because beyond powers or whatever the setting entails that's going to be the determinant hook for this premise.

I actually planned on having the Venator be one of the starters, but I was thinking on downgrading from cruisers to smaller escort cruisers. Or we could do it in terms of eras.

So Clone Wars era.

I can't believe I'm doing this....
Hey guys, just here to promote my first quest (oneshot), Edgelords of the Outer Rim!

Over a century ago, the peaceful Kingdom of Valgrite received a prophecy foretelling of their downfall caused by a Lord of Darkness born within the realm, armed with the terrible power of the unyielding Edge. To prevent any potential Dark Lords from rising to power, all potentially edgy people were rounded up, and exiled to the outskirts of Valgrite; a desolate and unforgiving land known as The Outer Rim.

You are Wedge Hastings, a recent exile trying to find his way back home as you find yourself lost in a land where only the edgy rule.

Starting next Saturday at 7pm UTC

Yeah, it'll be a tight series and if the Giants end up losing in the first round to the Cubs, I honestly wouldn't be too mad about it. Also not a big fan of the "Even Year Vs. Vurse of the Billygoat" hype/bullshit going on either side.

I was always a touch partial to Spiral thanks to the Marvel Vs. Capcom fighting games. All else fails, somebody could do Gwen Poole and do a Marvel-themed "That Girl" quest.

Neither am I. It's essentially mememagic. But you gotta respect that Madison Bumgarner is an absolute beast as long as he gets run support (which, regular season tells you, he doesn't get a lot of). If it comes to a Game 5 against the Cubs, I guarantee MadBum will make it work.

For sure. But I'm of the opinion that Jake Arrieta is an equally awesome pitcher and is going to be the make-or-break starter for the Cubs in Game 3.

Arrieta is gonna be the Cubs centerpiece in the DS for sure. Though, I imagine the rest of the NLDS Cubs vs Giants is gonna be one long pitchers duel. Unlike the Dodgers vs Nats, I'm expecting a lot of offense. Especially if we can make it to Urias.

We're running into the same problem the Mets had early in the season at possibly the worst time: unclutch hitting. Danny Espinosa tonight went two or three times striking out, one time with men on base.

As for Shields over Samardzija, I'd agree. I know Shields isn't having a great season, but I think that's more of a fluke.

If you're batting, roll to see if you connect, if so with how much power and where it travels. Same for success on a catch. It would probably be easy to control one character and have the tension come from the rest of your team, ect.
>>
>>675237
Probably just because not much of the /tg/ and now /qst/ audience are thought of as particularly sporty or interested in sports I'd say. Whether that's particularly true is up for debate, and even though I don't really follow any sport particularly closely, especially American ones I'd play the shit out of a good sports quest.
>>
>>675257
I want light cruisers. I originally thought of grouping three by era as a starter, but I decided to scrap that.

Instead, you get a trio of light cruisers/corvettes/escort ships/etc.

The real problem now is finding unique ships for each class of ship to base a character off of.

For example:

> Hand of Justice - Arquitens-class Light Cruiser - Fast escort ship
> Prosecutor - Acclamator I - All rounder carrier/destroyer/cruiser

I actually don't know what to do for the third one.

>>675273
Perhaps. I always wanted to see how the players would do as a pitcher though but I realize that might be much longer and slower paced.
>>
>>675287
Eh, depends on how you go about it. There's a few sports amines that you could reference with emphasis on pitchers as main characters if you wanted to draw inspiration on how to pace something like that.

Once again, anime will be a big draw to most of the audience here.
>>
>>675311
The thing about baseball is that it's incredibly slow-paced and honestly I'm inclined to agree that it gets boring sometimes. The only real way to make it exciting would be in characters, and perhaps adding in a dash of absolutely ferocious mundane awesome narrative.

That's mostly what baseball is anyway, mundane awesome.

No it's just that if people don't recognize a setting you're less likely to have people who bother getting invested. Basing something off a setting means people know intrinsically about the setting just because they have experience with it, so they're more likely to vote and participate and discuss.

when modifying a setting taken from popular media, where's the line between 'more of the same' and being a fresh take? alternatively, when do changes make that popular setting stop being useful as a tool to draw in players, and the unfamiliarity just turn people off?

>>675898
That's a really hard question to answer, because lets all be honest for a moment and admit that anons are volatile and unpredictable creatures.

I've found that so long as the changes you make are both reasonable and interesting, your readers will typically not go ape shit. You'll always have a few get a little pissed, but so long as the things you're changing aren't fundamental to the plot or huge sore spots for a fandom you should be golden.

Also using a setting but a time frame that is a little less explored or a little more free to adjustment gives you a lot of room to be creative while using a settings concepts and rules. Periods of mostly unexplored history or the future are usually safer then what one might consider 'canon time'.

If you want to use an existing setting to draw in players (I won't blame you but I will shame you) you pretty much gotta stick to that setting unless you want to have rampant eruptions of autism from people who think you're doing the setting wrong. That is the price of writing fanfic.

If you want to use an existing setting to make your quest more interesting, then you just rip out all the elements that you like, shuffle them around a bit and rename things, then call it OC. If someone asks, you took inspiration from X. Please don't start your quest by saying "this setting is kind of like X" because at this point you may as well have just made fanfic AND you're telling instead of showing. That's two wrongs in a single line!

>>

Hm, that sounds interesting as well. This is still in the very early planning phases, but I thought about it being at a different branch from the Far East, maybe the South American branch. The basic premise is that the MC belongs to a unit of "expendables", I guess, that all are really skilled God Eaters but have major personality flaws that stopped them from rising in the ranks.
>>
>>676086
but the canon characters ALREADY had major personality flaws.

I'd do a GE Quest about a first-Gen GE who was sent to the furthest research facility to 'defend' the base from Aragami attack. Which literally was Fenrir's way of saying 'shut up and keep researching, assholes.' PC would be a guy who's personality would be picked by the players, but he basically got picked because he wasn't 'great' at his job. Similar to Gen, except his name wasn't put in the books because he wasn't at Fenrir. Have some other crazy shit planned to occur further on, as well.

Here's a thing.

I'm putting together a smut quest to run on anonkun, but I can't decide if I want it to be modern or medieval fantasy. Can I get some opinions on what kind of setting would be good for a smut quest?
>>
>>676125
Wrong.

Setting is the least important thing for smut writing of any sort. The correct question is, "what kind of smut do I want to write," followed by "what kind of smut do my readers want to read about". Thos questiosn determine interest in your quest far more than settign does. Setting is secondary.

Setting comes into play when you know what kind of smut you want. Power games, BDSM, light and fluffy, cute and hot, all that stuff is either enhanced or detracted from by how interested the players are. Setting enhances the smut, not the other way around.

Well, the main motivation behind the modifications to the setting are that I started getting all hot and bothered about how fucking boring the Elemental Nations are and how plain Kishimoto left everywhere that isn't "wao the protagonist obviously lives here"-ville. So the primary conceit to the changes to the setting is providing color by aggressively reinterpreting everything through a historical lens — the area isn't weirdly homogenous but was settled by several waves of cultures and languages, cultural values are actually different from the weirdly modern ones the original author used, etc.

It wouldn't interact with canon except through some really convoluted butterflies — wrong timeframe and several countries away. I have timelines for how things would reach a roughly canon state even through my historical prism, and the players could probably interact with some of these series of events, but others are just too far or have too much inertia behind them.

I don't know which way this falls, whether it's so different it'll bug people or not. I don't want to do the renaming-buggaloo because, as much as it is a drastic reinterpretation, it is still the same-ish setting, and it's a setting I really enjoy, which is why I care so much as to research for an idea like this...But I don't want to have hypothetical players come in, read a bit, and leave because they don't recognize it and it's not clear where my source is.

Right now D and I have this mutual problem where everything we start together fucking dies, which we're working on, but in the meantime we're learning more and still enjoying working together.

Sounds like a clusterfuck to keep track of, but done Rashomon-style it could be interesting

At this point players would have to play as one MC, otherwise they'd just select an MC, figure out that MC's interpersonal problems, and then fix it

Another fucking quest? From you? And fanfiction? Again? No.

But you'll run it anyways. Right into the ground.

The only mechanical challenge I see is your players playing all characters too similarly if you don't define their characters strongly. The other potential problem is people play favorites and whoever is going to wind up being played when the party comes together, or how inter-party conflict is resolved.

Some mutie cuties to consider:

Dagger. If the mc is struggling in the streets he's likely to run into Cloak and Dagger. Helping kids like themselves is their mo after all. And Cloak would constantly try to cock block the mc.

Wolfsbane. She's a demure Presbryterian and werewolf. She'll be able to relate to the mc having a monster inside her. If you bring in Cloak and Dagger her religious faith could become an element. Christianity was a big element of the first Cloak and Dagger mini series.

So how's the average speed of things here? I've been poking around and it seems activity is pretty slow.
>>
>>679665
Fucking slow, depending on playerbase. Threads take a little over a week to die off.
>>
>>679665
Yeah slow is exactly what it is. You'll notice the faster and more consistent QM's tend to be people who began and established themselves in /tg/ where things were faster. The /qst/ natives tend to take longer between updates and stretch sessions out over days. It's also down to the playerbase as well though. Fewer players, and slower voting due to people realising threads wont drop off the board for a long time slows things right down.
>>
>>679665

VERY slow. It took a thread I made almost 10 days to die.
>>
>>679691
So are you saying that it's because non /tg/ QMs set a slower pace or that a slower pace has just become the norm because people realize there's no rush anymore?
>>
>>679795
Mostly it's the way the board functions but as the non /tg/ QMs are the majority and they've become accustomed to being able to run quests more slowly it has become the norm. So a bit of both. I think things will pick up a little in speed over time though as more QM's become competent and confident
>>
>>679795

I think so. I remember that when I ran on /tg/ and /qtg/ was banished to the weekends it was kind of accepted that players would leave your quest if you didn't get an update out every 20 minutes because the threat of the thread dropping off of the board was always there.

Now, everything's kind of at a relaxed pace now and it sometimes takes all two of my players 10-15 minutes just to check back in and vote because the thread's not going to die suddenly (Not that I care honestly; I'm happy anyone bothers with my typing exercises).
>>
>>679842
>>679824
Interesting. When last I remember, quests were going through a thread a day. That's a hell of a shift.

That part is actually a little bit of a misrepresentation. They're actually skirting the edges of Valyria, not heading straight into the middle of it.

If no, which quests need it and which quests don't?
>>
>>680711
I don't think any quests really NEEDS art (other than civs in order to display progress and the area around etc). Art is generally a bonus, it helps frame the scene, provide mood and atmosphere. So it's great but you don't require it. You can run a successful quest without art.
>>
>>680711
No.

The only quests that need it are draw quests. Written quests that rely on art tend to be shit.
>>
>>680711
>Do all quests need art in every update post?
No. A pic is entirely up to the QM's choice. Unless you mean drawquests, in which case I guess that art to illustrate things is pretty essential.

>If no, which quests need it and which quests don't?
Quests that focus on writing don't need art for every update. They mostly just use it to give an idea of how a character, how an environment is, stuff like that.

Not sure about drawquests, but I presume that they have art in at least nearly every update.

How important is it for a QM to stick to a specific brand?

If a QM makes a dark and gritty war quest after only doing slice of life quests, should they change their name for that quest?
>>
>>681435
Not really, at least I don't think so. It's not like either of those two quests will interfere with the other in any way. If anything it shows that you are skilled as a writer to be able to do more then one style in my opinion.
>>
>>681435
Why do players like your quests?
Either they like the type (fanfiction, historical, scifi) or they like your writing style which is independant from any type.

And when they see your QM name, people know that you stick around for a part 2 - some people attach importance to that.

That is the dumbest shit I've read. Banished uses plenty of art for inspiration sure but it's well written and relies on it's deep lore and in-depth background to make it what it is. Suggesting that it runs on its art is absurd.
>>
>>683169
>well written
>deep lore

People say the same things about Sibella Quest. Think about it.
>>
>>683169
Yeah, I don't consider inspiration something separated from what a quest relies on to run.

In this case, the extreme is because on Soma's ask.fm he's said that he looks at scenery and character art to get inspiration for both and to expand the lore with, which means the quest is relying on art pretty heavily. Also, did not say it does so exclusively, hence figuratively. That inspiration, for a lot of artifacts, ruins, characters, and so on is what makes the lore great, especially the history between it's ancient nations.

And it's not necessarily just art we've seen and so far been shown that's been that inspiration, either, given the QM has talked about getting distracted by art binges during and after sessions multiple times.

Face it anon, Soma and therefore BQ runs on art. If not fuel, then as a catalyst.

so what does /qstg/ think of Bully quest?

>>
>>687339
>greentext writing
It's shit
>>
>>687311
I guess because I can't think of any way to make civ ideas worth their time without a heavy emphasis on the characters driving them.
Some of the ideas are civ like because they'd span empires, or the growth/decay of them, and carry elements standard to civ quests but applied differently.
The awful sci-fi ideas are just cliche's wrapped up so tightly and dense as to be coherently disgusting.

For other quests it's difficult to get attached to a purely top down "build your civilization" thing. I have video games for that stuff.
>>
>>687339
At first I thought, the staccato-like writing style wouldn't work for me, but it strangely does - haven't read everything yet ...
>>687352
the greentext does look ugly, true
>>
>>687361
You want the focus to be on the characters driving the action. You are describing exactly what most civs lack and sorely need. It's one of the prime complaints of people who don't like civs.
>>
>>687380
Didn't some civ threads try to have a main character who organises things and has personal interactions with tribe/nation members? Don't remember one surviving though...
>>
>>687380
Aye.

Did try a bottom up fantasy civ quest, primarily character oriented starting with one of the powerhouse characters of the setting. It rests in peace.

>>687387
Dead King's Quest, we barely knew ye. Although that was a while ago. I haven't seen any civ's or politically oriented quests like it get very far. There was that Senate Quest, which was fantastic.

>Did the players ever do anything you never expected? What happened?

My players somehow grew attached to a certain blonde party member in my previous quest. It was adorable, so I decided to give him a sympathetic backstory. It was also gay, not helped by the fact that said blonde boy was muscular and a delinquent. I came close to writing a gay Valentine's day bonus involving him.

That's a really complicated choice to open a quest with, especially since none of the choices tell you anything. I'd honestly be tempted to pick 'death and war' 5 times over, since none of it means anything to me.

Also, don't be a pussy. If you're going to shill, don't apologize. You want your quest to be good, so pretend it already is.

Kinda, in my current quest the main body of the entire quest is a flashback moreso than an ongoing thing.
>>
>>688391
You ever roleplayed in tabletop? Like that. You do things you as anon wouldn't normally do cause you are playing a character.
>>
>>688391
One of the QMs I follow evidently decided that whenever the MC should feel like shit, or is at a loss for what to do, the players should also feel that way.

Your first mistake was making a quest on /qst/ and expecting players.
>>
>>690405
This. /qst/ only has the slowly dying momentum from /tg/. No new blood is coming. We'll all just fade over time.
>>
>>690407
I remember there was that one person who kept posting oldest catalog thread times in the QTG and their prediction every thurs/friday.

Like they'd go "oldest thread on the catalog is seven to eight days now, next it's going to be nine to ten" and he was right for about five weeks of the consistent increase.

The Saturday after the prediction of threads lasting up to thirteen days is when the remainder of the /tg/ quest threads got moved here. A small coincidence.

There's also that global fucking rule in place.

I honestly think moving the general to /tg/ would improve things quite a bit at least.

"I am looking for advice on what to do in this game" threads have never been off-topic on /tg/, whatever your opinion on actually running games on the board.

You can still get advice from /tg/ on QMing, as long as you just describe it as "a game I'm running". Maybe refer to it as "a homebrew system" if you want to deflect D&D-posters.

>5 pick char gen
you're lucky you only GOT a single vote, at least that anon got what he wanted. In most other scenarios, multiple people voting would leave them all dissatisfied as the final tally would probably not be a combination they wanted.

>choices
your prompts are somehow both too few(binary options) and too many (one for every power).

If the power-based options are always going to be the same, cut down the descriptions a bit or don't mention them at all. Focus more on context-sensitive choices.

>Premise
Lastly, you may be a bit late to the party. Between Giant Cannibalism and Relic Quest, we're a bit full up on the main concepts you're tackling, and we have quite a few gritty quests going on.

You're starting to pick up speed, so what you choose to do is up to you.
>>
What is the lewdest quest currently running?
>>
>>690818
>>5 pick char gen
I don't think you've even covered this enough.

It's a character gen that requires you to pick 5 variables from an even larger list without telling you what they are or why they're important.

So they give you skills. Whatever, the skills also don't mean anything to the players since this is literally the first time they've touched the setting.

And they don't tell you anything about the setting or more importantly, the character. So you're a guy who hunts giants? Cool. Why are we fighting wolves?

If you wanted to run the same concept but better, have the players pick ONE god to be devoted to, and have that relate to their mental state. Then you can give them like 3 abilities MAXIMUM to use that all relate to their god's domain so that you can run a semi-versatile combat and have room to expand it when people are used to it.

More to the point, if each player has to pick 5 fucking variables, how in the world do you aim to get any sort of consensus? Just whichever one gets namedropped the most? Sounds pretty stupid to me.

Stop sucking and do it.

Alternatively, the problem is probably more related to a lopsided intake:output ratio. Even naturally creative people need inspiration, and if you've been spinning your wheels like a fuck up, then the solution isn't "spin them more".

Read and participate in other quests. Read a couple books. Find new music. Go looking for neat new pictures. Consume content before you go back to trying to create it. This is DIFFERENT from a break; The goal here is not to rest, it's to get a better perspective and find inspiration where you'd previously lost it.

Did you base your Quest off the game series? I know, dumb question when I could just look it up... but I'm curious.
>>
>>692799

Yes I did. I was inspired from reading an early quest about Street Fighter and how it blended in other series into its narrative quite easily. Truthfully, I try to have nods (Some subtle, most not) to other SNK games through locations, events getting referenced and certain characters' backstories.

Then get back to me on how much you hate it.

That's denial.
The truth is for whatever you write, anonymous or not, it's yours forever.

It is.

The prototype/precursor to it is also up on sup/tg/, but it's meh-to-shit because I was new to QM'ing, made stupid mistakes, had no sense of pacing and made an MC so dull players liked seeing the story through the eyes of side-characters more...

So I had a quest a few months back. It had a really tiny player base but they had nothing but support for the idea.

Then a flood hit and knocked the first thread off the board. The second thread was cut short by a tornado that left me without internet for almost 2 weeks.

I'm now back to where I think I could get back to QMing. But should I restart the quest from the beginning, try picking up from where I left off. or do I need to abandon it entirely and make something new?
>>
>>693757
I think you should consider that your life is worth more than QMing.
>>
>>693757
Maybe http://archived.moe/qst/ does have your lost thread?

If you like your quest, you could restart it better and bigger.
>>
>>693769
I do. That's why I paused for several months until everything was taken care of.

Or are you implying there's going to be another natural disaster?
>>
>>693773
I mean, the writing's on the wall.

The curse has it out for you. Your life is your own business, ofc, as to how you spend your final moments. Certainly, at a keyboard isn't the worst way to go.
>>
>>693772
I just checked and it does, but since so little actually happened I figured a full restart would be the right play.
>>
>>693777
What's the quest?
>>
>>693777
Nah. Just pick up where you left off. I'd start it out with a quick reminder of events though.
>>
>>693757
I kind of want to write an episodic quest about a QM who just wants to sit down and write their idea, but every time some horrible disaster strikes. The entire quest would start small with floods, and then earthquakes, and as the QM grew more desperate to find places they could write, it would ramp up.

Writing in the middle east calls the second coming of Allah, and you have to cut the thread short because it's hard to write with everyone screaming.

You get taken in by the secret service after they link your presence to natural disasters and huge events around the world, and while upset, you figure this is the perfect time to write! ....But then the Illuminati return to do battle with the Free Masons.

You just need a quiet place to settle down and have some peace to collect your thoughts. You escape the country to Ireland, where in you live happily for several months without incident. Finally, one day, you set down to try and run your thread.

Boom.
Ragnarok.
>>
>>693792
That's awesome, do it. Please.
>>
>>693792

I would play the hell out of that.
>>
>>693785
It was called "The Spaced Between" and you can find what I wrote so far in the archives. Even though it's a magical girl inspired quest the players seemed to like how I was working things out and the characterization I had put on things.

>>693791
I'll consider that. Maybe a bit more in media res - after all that was how the first thread started.

So guys, I'm planning on running a quest here pretty soon.

It's set in the 2300's, during the uneasy aftermath of a massive interstellar war. The two factions that fought it have settled into an uneasy cold war while Mars and the Asteroid Belt have become a kind of DMZ between both powers. The MC is a decorated veteran of the war who used up his pension to buy a starship and hire a (mostly) loyal crew. Basically the goal of the quest is to keep the ship flying, while taking jobs and either avoiding political intrigue or aiding it. The tone is sort of inspired by pulp sci-fi from the 30's-50's, as well as the more gritty sci-fi from the 80's.

What do you guys think?
>>
>>693913
I don't know about the rest of qst, but I'll eat up anything that can be described as 'space opera'
>>
>>693913
Three questions:
If the war is interstellar, why is Mars-AB a DMZ?
Why do you want to try to be both pulpy and gritty?
Why are you not trying to satisfy my thirst for Firefly the Quest?
>>
>>693925
1. The Solar System is where both factions' capitals reside. It's the best way to keep them away from each others' throats. They both have colonies outside of Sol's boundaries.

2. I like both too much to decide on just one, so I figured i might as well try elements of both.

3. There's gonna be plenty of Firefly-esque stuff in it.
>>
>>693913
How soft is the science gonna be?
I played too much Children of a Dead Earth lately so I long for harder space sci-fi
>>
>>693933
I see, you meant cold war literally. The colonies they have are the proxy grounds for their politics ala Vietnam/Afghanistan.
>>
>>693937
Relatively hard. The only really fantastic elements are going to be the technologies used for FTL travel. But most of the stuff related to propulsion is going to be handled by the chief engineer anyway, the MC used to be a pilot, not a mechanic.
>>
>>693953
There gonna be a chance to choose some of the crew roster?
>>
>>693953
Count me in then!
>>
>>693957
The plan is for the MC to start out with a few people he already knew beforehand, but there will definitely be options to hire on more characters as it progresses.

The question is, can you trust a hired gun to have a lot of loyalty?
>>
>>693969
Is the MC a big guy?
>>
>>693969
Neato.
As for loyalty...

>hired loyalty for a specific mission
Predetermined backstabber, always.

>hired because they need a job and are down on their luck
Generally trustworthy merc.

>hired because they express interest in the ship or crew
Payed for assassin.

>>693977
Can always count on anon to ask the real questions.

not everybody hangs around qtg. You just announce when you'll run and hope there'll be people.

If you need to check when your players are online, ask them in-thread or on twitter.
>>

I find doing a roll call in-thread is the most effective way of restarting a thread you left overnight or whatever. I'll also announce it on Twitter, that's a huge help. I've never really noticed a difference in announcing it on qtg. I think this is mostly current or aspiring gms

>QM Question
Nope. I've got enough of a player's mindset (read: autistic) to plan and draft multiple contingency plans to the point where it's rare for me to get surprised at anything. As for art, most of the stuff I pull is just from Danbooru or a random Google Search. Title cards are made from either Paint.net or Photoshop while I'm at the university computer labs.

This one's an idea that I've been musing on for a bit now. Not promising anything, just curious to see if there's an interest to this.

Pokemon: Guardian of the Legends (alternatively, "The Last Guardian")
>The year is 20XX, and mankind stands strong, proud and tall in a world of Pokemon.
>Pokemon are an integral part of life, with many of them as friends, compatriots and many more to their respective trainers. More than just creatures to use in battle, there are facets in daily living that will always find these strange and wonderful creatures.
>Yet mankind is selfish, greedy, so easily led astray with the prospect of power. History has seen no small amount of tyrants and despots using Pokemon for their own ends, the hues of their causes dyed from mild scarlet to bloody crimson.
>But the ones that are remembered are rightly feared for coming close to unlimited power through legendary Pokemon, the primordial gods of this world. The Legendary Birds, the Three Beasts, the Weather Trio, the Swords of Justice, even Arceus itself. And that's only naming the more popular ones.
>All are sought after, all are desired, from criminal masterminds to competitive trainers. Yet, there are those would see otherwise.
>Since the dawn of civilization, a secret cult has sworn itself to protect the legendary Pokemon from the predations of those who would abuse their power. These are the Guardians, Trainers who will use whatever means necessary to prevent these powerful creatures from falling into the wrong hands. And for all known history, they have succeeded in their duty.
>But in their present state, the Guardians are diminished. A traitor sold out the order to Team Nocturne twenty years ago, and the slaughter that followed is still spoken of in hushed whispers among the survivors, scattered to the winds of the world lest they are discovered.
>Yet their industry remains undiminished, and a new generation of Guardians have risen to the challenge.
>You stand among the first Guardian in three hundred years to pass the trials of Body, Mind and Spirit at the tender age of fourteen. You, and two other individuals from the Amelot region have accomplished this prestigious feat.
>Now, the duty of your ancestors falls upon your shoulders. You must put a stop to whatever diabolical plans Team Nocturne has in store, and restore the Order of the Guardians to their former glory.
>Be warned: the choices you make will not only impact those around you, but the world itself. Do what you must to fulfill your duty, no matter how hard the choices that stand before you.

Thoughts?

>>
>>695935
Sounds Neat then again I have shit opinions

Do it anyway
>>
>>696158

>>
>>695935
>use whatever means necessary
that pings to me as suspicious. Without elaboration, you sound like you're going to the over-edge. Which is fine for some people, but it's for the best that you confirm if you're going to start shooting people and resorting to terrorism BEFORE the quest proper begins.

>The Last Guardian
....look. I am only mentioning this as a "just in case", but if you intend to kill all the Guardians except MC off, consider that players probably came because they wanted to work from within an organization, and that the prospective of NOT doing so and being unable to create a new one soon on account of being 14 is not....desirable.

>Be warned: the choices you make will not only impact those around you, but the world itself. Do what you must to fulfill your duty, no matter how hard the choices that stand before you.
the last time someone said this, the QM bent over backwards multiple times in a single thread trying to keep the MC alive. It's not a very inspiring thing to say. Show, don't tell.
