Thy ever-faithful friend Sir Schnepperel hath secured shelter for the night from a peasant girl, most kind though flustered by thy presence. Ye set off into town to trawl for information on the whereabouts of thy kingdom's princess, stolen away by some brutish unknown dragon. An occasional haycart or merchant passeth thee by, drawing stares and whispers. Thou worriest not, for surely the presence of a knight of the realm shall quell any doubts or violent passions that may come of sighting a dragon.

In time, the rooftops of Swarthingham appear. Thou hast seen a keep before much like the nearby castle, but never with such environs! This marvelous hamlet remindeth thee of a treasure hoard, such are the colors in this multitude of small souls. As thou traversest the bright bridge into town, thy virtuous companion asketh of thee:

"Omanag, be there many ways to dig out what we seek in this town. The halls and guilds number here as mushrooms do in a forest. Where shall we begin?"
