You and your cryptographer friend Charles left the US during the last crisis to work as independent contractors for E 14, a Norwegian intelligence organization.

"Schizos? Ah schizophrenia. You needn't worry about that as much here, you will be briefed on our review and accountability system later, and our mental health care is quite good." There is a metallic emphasis on the penultimate word.

A slight shift of angle in Charles's gaze and smirk says something like "don't think she got the message". One can never tell with these Scandinavian types.
