A colonial era Quest

Rules for the quest:
The first dubs selects a presented option, after first dubs selects i will continue on the quest, however, any comment, dubs or not, not pertaining to the quest will be ignored
(available options will be in parenthesis)

Start-
It has been a long day, you sigh with releif as you get up from your knees after drinking from a creek, looking at your map you see that you have walked the better part of 50 miles, slowly putting your map away you take a bite of a half rotten apple you found, you get up and walk for another few miles, untill near sunset.
you sit down near a trapper's trail, from the position of the sun you conclude that you have about 15 minutes of sunlight left, squinting your eyes in the dim light you look at your map once again, you see that your destination isnt far, civilitation, you think, you havent had human contact for exactly 20 days, since you left looking for your brother out in this part of Maine; your anxiety had overcome you, regaining focus you decide you need to make a choice.
