All right, anons. You're 200 zombies who find themselves in the shallow sand at the bottom of a vast ocean. Who knows what wild creatures make their home in this blue wilderness, but you're going to find out. There is mostly darkness surrounding you, but a few lights of varying brightness in the distance.

What do you do?

a. Walk toward the bright blue light
b. The distant red light
c. The small, feint white light
d. Stick around and see what you can find in the darkness
>>
>>586904
Zombis go to the nearest possible food source. Blue light!
>>
>>586904
>A

It's large and it is my favorite color, therefore it has my attention
>>
>>586922
>>586924
Your group begins walking toward the bright blue light. Whatever is out there, it doesn't matter so long as it's made of meat. You walk and walk and walk, but the light is deceptively distant. As your group keeps moving, you notice some small flat fish and wriggling worms are nipping at your group's decaying skin.

What do you do about them?

A. Ignore them
B. Kill them
C. Kill and eat them
D. Try to swim away from them
>>
>>586962
Kill worms, eat fish. Make zombo fish
>>
>>586962
Kill and eat both
>>
>>586971
>>586986
You continue walking toward the blue light in slow aquatic steps. Meanwhile, your group captures and begins eating some of the fish and worms nibbling at on you. Their guts and blood scatter about you in the frenzy while the vast majority of the fish eating you get away. \

However, after eating the decaying flesh, they begin to slow and bob and swim alongside you, no longer afraid when you grasp them or even bite them. Like they feel now pain.

You feel a kinship with them. Many of the fish who were half eating also continue to float along with you.

The blue light seems to still be at the same distance even though you've been walking for hours. What do you do?

A. Continue walking
B. turn toward the red light
C. turn toward the white light
D. stop and linger for a while
>>
>>586962

Such insolence mustn't be tolerated...

Reclaim stolen flesh...

>>587052>>587066
>>587083

The blue lights have it. Your path begins to transform from soft sand to pebbles. You can feel them under your feet and nubs. The blue light is beginning to cast shadows and you are able to see some of your path. You seem to be at the bottom of a small trench, there are walls in two directions. You're lucky you did not run into them. On the walls there seem to be some barnacles and movement, as well as some clusters of seaweed and kelp.

What do you do?

A. Inspect them?
B. Keep walking?
>>
>>587105
The fish are tiny flat fish
>>
>>587126
>B. Keep walking?
No time for anything I cant eat
>>
>>587105

>>587097

Our flesh is basically the only thing that is ours, fish were nibbling at it, therefore they were stealing from us...
>>
>>587178
Skeletons are better anyway
>>
>>587129
>>587150
>>587143
>>587165

The barnacles are hard and large and several of your party break their teeth on them even worse than they already have. There the movement around the barnacles is schools of small crabs which are the of the same color as the barnacles, and they're tasty. They are consumed shells and all, but you notice that a few who lost their eyes scurry around some party members and do not seem to be afraid anymore. And when when they are moving not moving, you cannot see them at all. The kelp is yellow and delicious and several of your part scarf it down in massive quantities.

What do you want to do with all this stuff?

A. Convert more crabs
B. Collect kelp
C. Grab the barnacles, maybe they will be useful
D. Any combo of the above
>>
>>587201

This is true...

Skeletons are objectively superior to all other forms of life...

>>587215

>>587215
Everything!
>>
>>587240
>>587235
>>587230
>>587229

Everything is done and you continue forward. Many of the zombies are now carrying barnacles and kelp. You notice that the little cyclops crabs will follow you only along the wall of the trench.

It has gotten darker. It seems that the blue light has lost some of it's glow as you stopped. As you continue your long walk, more and more fish are eating the flesh off the flat fish and more and more are being turned. They seem to also do what you will them to do.

The blue light gets a little brighter as you move along and sea floor lights up again. There are some caverns in the wall now which the crabs remaining alive seem to be swarming toward.

What do you do?

A. Explore them
B. Send the crabs in
C. Ignore them
>>
>>587289
Crab scout team is a go.
>>
>>587289
>B. Send the crabs in

Send crabs
>>
>>587289

>Send the crabs in

then...

>Explore caves
>>
>>587301
>>587302
>>587305

The Cyclopean division of our mini zombie army is fanatical and they plunge right into the caverns. There is no stirring for a long while. It the blue light gets more feint as you wait for the crabs, the walls of the trench grow more and more dull with the dark blue light until something moves in one of the caverns and our pours a huge mass of our cyclops crabs, as big as five of our original zombies. They are writhing in a pile, all moving and scurrying individually, while the pile itself also moves about on the sea floor.

What do?

a. Watch
b. Throw zombies into the mix
c. Throw fish in
d. Send everything
>>
>>587368

>Send everything
>>
>>587368
Everything
>>
>>587368
>d

Submit to the Collective of the Damned
>>
>>587378
>>587398

We throw everything we have at the pile. Flat fish pelt at it as fast as bullets, zombies pile on top of it in waves and waves, until the mass stops moving. After you sit on it long enough to be sure, the zombies remove themselves. Many of the fish are maimed by the fight but their morale seems to not be affected.

As the cyclops division scuttles away, you find a massive crab, the size of several zombies. Perhaps it's the mother of all the cyclops crabs?

What do you do?

Leave it
Inspect it
>>
>>587440
>Inspect it
>>
>>587440
Inspect. Convert.
>>
>>587450
>>587453

It's dead. The shell is red and thick, but it seems to have cracked under all of the pressure we put on it, there are many loose shards which are about finger length and thickness. Some of the zombies bite down on these only to impale themselves. The meat is tasty, but everything seems to have been armored, even the eyes and mouth, so we were not able to turn it before it died unfortunately. Perhaps if we had held its mouth open.

We collect what we can of the shards and explore the cavern only to find more of our converted crab brethren.

Congratulations, now we have shell daggers.

You continue walking toward the blue light. And it gets brighter once again.

More and more fish are converted to our chum cloud as we move.

The light is getting brighter and brighter, the brightest it has ever been.

But then you feel the water change. The current is totally different from what it was before. There is a great disturbance. You look up in time to see the end of a great white belly sweep across the top of our chum cloud.

All of the blood and guts attracted something.
Something big.

What do you do?

A. Stand and fight
B. Increase pace to the blue light
>>
>>587517
B. retaliate if needed
>>
>>587517
>B. Increase pace to the blue light

Get diplomatic on this shit
>>
>>587549
Because if we get a boat they can follow us. Besides. We are deep sea zombies. We wont stay onland.
>>
>>587569
Soon the horde will grow beyond our meager group, these zombies mean nothing in the long run so long as we can make land conversions. So long as we can agree to this end, I'll change my vote in hopes we use this new weapon in attempts to take down a manned boat that we can convert.
>>
>>587527
>>587531

You book it toward to the blue light. The massive thing sweeps over your chum cloud again and again. At this rate, you will lose all of the fish. The blue light is getting brighter and brighter and you can make out what keeps eating the fish. The biggest part of its body is the head, the mouth particularly, and there is a long dorsal fin. It is a gargantuan shark with a scarred white belly reflecting blue light. It sweeps into your ranks and takes 10 zombies in a single bite. Some that it grabs attack it with the shells but the wounds are too deep.

You will now lose 20 zombies for every post I make.

What do you do?

A. Stand and fight with all of your strength
B. Continue on to the blue light even faster

>>
Apparently we're pirate zombies, fresh out of Davy Jone's locker...

I think that the main point of differentiation between us and your garden-variety zombie is that we are slightly rapier...
>>
When we left off, our hoard was being chewed up by a massive mouthed shark and we decided to stand and fight it. There would have been a way to survive in each scenario, btw. But this post just cost you another 20 zombies. We are down to 170.

So, you want to kill this thing?

All right.

We have 2000 crabs that only stick to the wall.
Barnacles in our hands
Tons of Kelp
Half of our hoard of zombie fish and worms
Each zombie has a shell dagger that doesn't do much damage to the creature

We have command of the creatures we turned.

How are you faggots going to do it? Deliberate among yourselves and come up with a way to kill it and we will see if it is doable. In other words, create your own solution!

There will be a time limit. You will lose 5 zombies every minute after the first post responding to this one.

Let's see how you fare.
>>
>>588106

I say that we bravely send wave after wave of our own minions down it's throat until it chokes to death...
>>
I wonder if we can stick bones from multiple creatures together to make undead constructs?
>>
>>588100
Aye, we carry a deep love for all forms of booty

>>588106
This is an interesting mechanic, I like it, I think, or it will kill us all.

Have the zombies aim for the eyes and gills with their daggers, make the fish and worms attack it's tail and fins to damage it's mobility, and, uh, hope we can lure it close enough to the crabs for them to do anything at all?
>>
>>588129
can we stick bone/ shell shards through them to shred the sharks throat when it swallows them?

>>588160
Yes. Exactly this. Hopefully the inside fish will bite and convert before it actually dies.

Don't sharks die if they stop swimming?

Why not fashion a snare from the kelp, snag it's body or tail, and then use out humanoid minions to drag it back to stop it from moving forward, meanwhile our smaller minions rush in?

Zombo shark. Our hero unit.

>our hero unit

Now that you mention it, do we have like an single avatar which is directing the hoard in this quest, or are do we just control the entire race directly?
>>
>>588240
We control it directly. Our horde has no real leader aside from the hunger that drives them.
>>
Since the fish are all dead, we can just impale the fish and send them down its throat. The zombies jump on the shark's face and gouge at the eyes.

The fish all rush down it's throat and shred its insides. The shark stops and writhes and writhes until it swims off leaving a trail of blood behind it.

What do?

Follow the trail

You follow the trail. It gets darker and darker but the smell of the blood is supplementary. And it is attracting other fish, even bigger than your original flat fish, which are being turned by the chum cloud.

Finally, you start to see some fish with shell daggers through their bodies rejoin your cloud and shortly after come upon the body. The shark is dead on the sea floor, surrounded by red. It's just a hunk of meat now.

What do you want to do?

A. Examine
B. Feast
C. Run away, who knows what is going to be attracted to this blood ocean.

>Feast

Make a cursory effort to...

>Examine

Between bites...
>>
>>588382
The examination begins. The shark's skin is light but thick, your daggers weren't really piercing it. With some work, it could make good protective clothing. The teeth are also numerous and razor sharp, and the bones are massive and long. Perhaps we could craft some sort of primitive weaponry. Or, you could always simply rely on your turned zombies to act as weapons for you.

If you decide to break the body down for resources, you will more than likely end up competing with something else on the sea floor for it. But who knows. We'll see. Also, we bit this shark over and over again but it just died. What didn't it turn? What do you think it could be, anon?

What do?

A. Break it down all the way
B. Only use bones/teeth
C. Only use skin
D. Leave it and move on
>>
>>588411
>A. Break it down all the way

There will also be a feast, and this much meat will make us stronger. But it will also take time and who knows what else will show up.
>>
>>588423
This is true, but remember that you are already surrounded by a chum cloud that is growing bigger and bigger.
>>
>>588411

>Break it down all the way
>>
>>588411
C. Only the skin. We don't have a lot of time before bigger predators start coming round and ultimately want to survive the long haul.
>>
>>588431
Alright then I retract it, no use in wasting anything then
A. Break it all down
>>
>>588411
Maybe it has something to do with it being a predator? It seemed like the fish and worms we turned were scavengers, and I think barnacles and most crabs fall into that category too.
>>
>>588441
They will only want the bleeding stuff. Once they see its all rotten they should stop giving a shit about us.

This shark was special. It was immune to bites and it ate undead. Something was unique about it.
>>
>>588420
>>588422
>>588423
>>588439
>>588441

The shark is broken down. All of the bones are harvested, the meat is consumed, the teeth are picked, and the skin makes fine light armor for our undead soldiers.

Now, how can we synthesize these items to improve what we already have?

We have those cyclops crabs
The flat fish
Some larger fish
We have some shark skin
Lots and lots of dagger sized teeth
And bones as long as a zombie

What do you think, anon?
>>
Shit we're in some sort of undead ocean aren't we
Predator's kill things and eat them, and then when they're revived they eat them again. This is some sort of sick twisted circle of life perverted by a lich isn't it.

Considering that just eating undead flesh was enough to turn those fish, the shark is obviously unnatural, possibly even undead, which means there's much worse undead fish in the sea than us. I say we gtfo back to the crab cave and synthesize this stuff there.

>>588465
Can we take the stuff back to crab cave to synthesize it?
>>
>>588481
I'm against arming too many of our zombies because as far as I can tell we have to bite living things to turn them, but I do think arming some is a good plan
>>
>>588492
you may, but nothing seems to be showing up. Not even small fish.
>>
>>588527
>Not even small fish.
That does not make me feel better
>>

Cuz we ate them

Arm our cyclops crabs with broken down pieces of the bone.

That is incredibly suspicious...
I anticipate that there is something massive approaching whose mere presence is frightening enough to drive away all other forms of sealife...

We can certainly move back to the crab caverns to synthesize.

Does everyone want to do that?

Bone clubs sound good

Impaling zombies to make them harder to swallow is also good

>>588530
good

Run like fuck back to the crab cavern while praying to the Old Gods to keep these freaky fish away.
>>

Sounds good to me...
>>

>to be continued meme

Yeah, what if you were just supposed to let it eat you?

Btw, upon breaking down the shark, you also retrieved 23 of your comrades from its belly.

You're back up to 158 members strong.

I think this works.

You get back to the crab cavern, but realize that everything is almost completely dark. The blue light is way off in the distance.

It might be gone forever by the time you synthesize everything. Or maybe it won't be if you can move faster to catch up to it.

What do you do?

A. Follow and try to synthesize on the way
B. Stay and try to figure out moving faster along with everything else

also, I gotta stop soon, thanks for the run op.

also, if possible, make xylobones. Play "under the sea" and "yellow submarine" as you ride.

My pleasure. Stay for a couple more turns and I can stop where I wanted to stop.

Anyone else going to bed?

You find that we have been not been utilizing our fish to their full potential, that they can be used to pull individual zombies, that our army could be much more mobile with some ingenuity. The bones and kelp are used to create straps and handles for teams of fish to pull the zombies. They are like bobsled teams, but underwater.

The maces are crafted, and each undead soldier is impaled with a pike of bone so that he may take whatever may swallow him to hell with him.

The rest of the bones are made into spears.

The rest of the teeth are attached to our crabs as well as our fish. So we now have a cloud of chum and what are basically razor blades flying around us.

Just before you set out to the distant blue dot, you find that several of the zombies are being disemboweled. The members who ate the kelp in large quantities seem to be so acidic that they chew through the stomachs and shark skin armor of our zombies, but it needs an incubation period of several hours.

What do with the kelp?

Collect more of it
Abandon it since we can't eat it
>>
>>588623
I dunno, I think you'll be surprised at how fast we're going to finish
>>
>>588646

Undead ingenuity...

Never thought I'd see the day...

>Collect more Kelp

Don't bother trying to carry it...

Just loosely wrap it around our larger undead and head out...
>>
>>588646
Keep it. It has other uses
>>
>>588662
Just put it on the bobsleds
>>
>>588646
>Collect more of it
But don't go too far out of our way to do so, I'm more interested in that blue light
>>
>>588669

Camouflage though...

>Oh right, chum cloud...

...

We collect some more kelp and speed off. The blue light is getting closer at a pace that seems unreal. We undead, pulled by the power of our fish sails, are finally going to capture that blue light. When we get close, it becomes clear that it has been moving this whole time, although slowly. And that it is massive, at least three times the size of that shark we fought. The light is so bright but you can see something past it, underneath and to the side. The side is a long neck and what looks like a bald head, slightly illuminated by the power of a the light. Underneath are what look like four flippers. Source of the light itself appears to be a dome, with an intricate pattern of contoured squares on it.

It is a massive turtle and its shell is glowing bright blue like a star.

And just as you realize this, there is something else.

Within the myriad squares in the shell there appear to be silhouettes of small heads about the size of yours. There are hundreds of them and they all seem to be turned in your direction.
And that's where we'll stop. Thanks guys.
