The war for cybertron has reached it's close, and the Transformer race has fallen from grace.

With the Autobots in Exile, and the Decepticon leader Megatron in pursuit of the last Prime, Cybertron has fallen under the rule of a Cold, Brutal dictator.... Shockwave

Most of Cybertrons citizens, still shell-shocked and left with their lives in tatters have been forced under the Decepticon banner one way or another. After all, the prospect of living another day outweighs that of being dragged off to the pits of Kaon... or one of Shockwaves many laboratories, now in plain view in every major Cybertronian city.

With the lifeblood of cybertron drained by both sides, and the core sent into hibernation, the Decepticons control all the remaining significant Energon reserves, 95% of it's surface, and have begun sculpting society into their twisted mantra of perfection, and the survival of the strongest.

But hope still remains, some have rejected the perfection Shockwave and the Decepticons have enacted upon Cybertron... Free spirits, Turncoats, Veterans of the war, and of course Autobots that chose to remain behind now adapt and fight a guerrila war against a merciless and calculating Tyrant...

You are one of those who choose to stand up and fight for freedom...

So soldier... What is your name and your origin?

(Hey, this is my first quest thread I've ever attempted... so bear with me if I am slow)

(Also, it might be easier if we decided upon one transformer's story rather than everyone going for their own as I might have difficulty juggling multiple stories)

(I'll explain more of the quest rules as we go... just thought I'd see if anyone was interested.)

Name;
>Write in

Origin:
> Decepticon, former
> Autobot, member of the Wreckers
> Autobot, Stayed behind
> Disillusioned veteran (either side)
> Business owner, former/current

Name: Scrapkill
Disillusioned veteran - neither side
A citizen who took up arms to protect his community during the war, he hates both sides and blames them equally for the destruction. However the decepticons are the only ones in reach.
>>
>>499248
I'd go with former Decepticon, it makes for interesting dialogue with former comrades, a transformer seeking redemption for war crimes.
It will also give him a preset of a skilled soldier and combatant especially if he survived the mettalic hell of the war.

(I had almost given up hope that anyone would reply, apologies for not replying sooner, I was just about to head to bed when I checked back)

(Since we seem to like the disillusioned veteran, we're going with that... and since you two supplied a name, we'll combine them)

Name:
>Scrap-Runner
>Former Decepticon/Disillusioned vetran

For countless cycles you fought for a cause you believed was right, to cast out the old order of Cybertron in a glorious revolution. Now... Now you were ashamed, the war had taken many things from you.... Friends... Loved ones... Home... and your sense of Honor.

That last straw was that made you deface your heraldry symbol, the wound still fresh upon your chassis. The pain of it's removal still looped through some of your circuits as you made your way through the underground hive that was Kaon...

You've had to hunt down and execute enough deserters in the past to know exactly what happens to those who try to leave the Decepticon cause. Thankfully your leave of absence had yet to be noticed, or at least you hoped so, the Decepticon enforcers you had passed thus far had not shown any interest in you... yet.

You needed a course of action, the urge to lash out and kill as many of your former brothers turned monsters as possible was a strong one. Though it was tempered by a need to make your last stand for your principles matter. It was only a matter of time before the cons noticed one of their number was missing especially a veteran....

(What type of bot are we?)
> Seeker; A faster, streamlined, but physically weaker chasis with a jet alt-mode (Ex. Starscream, Jetfire)
> Cargo Hauler; An average sized chasis, additional room for other accessory items/cargo space, alt- mode is a Truck; (ex. Ironhide, Orion Pax, Swindle)
> Tank; Very bulky and slow chasis, strongest and most durable of these choices, but stands out in a crowd ; (ex. Warpath, Brawl)
> Racer; Fastest ground wise in both bot/alt modes, weaker but very agile and sneaky; (ex. Cliff-jumper, bumblebee, Breakdown)
> Other; Write in... If someone can think of another type of bot we can be, I'm all ears...

(I should respond by tomorrow if everyone wishes to continue)

I'm going to go with Cargo Hauler since our name is Scrap-Runner and as Hauler we'd be able to store multiple items and even have access to heavier weaponry due to our size.
Think Ironhides cannons from Michael Bay
>>
Changing >>499855 to >>499869.
>>

Ditto.
>>
>>499869
Not to mention our armor would be a bit heavier than most since we're a truck though not as good as a tank we'd be a bit of a heavy hitter
>>
>>499829
Voting Seeker, in hopes of being like Starscream.

I'm the sense that he can't ever Fucking die like holy shit
>>
>>499993
He can't he has what I think is called an 'Eternal Spark' meaning his body may be destroyed but his 'Soul' will never die and he can go out like a ghost and can possess other machinery, but he's a special case and is the only one with such a spark.
>>
>>500029
Eeeeeh, suppose you've got a point. Fuck it, changing my vote to truck. Let's try to have a bad as chassis yeah?

What do we look like, i kinda want a junkyard gladiator look.
>>
>>500228
I'm torn between an SUV class of vehicle, a pick up truck or a semi truck, probably a pick up truck, it gives us size, room and maybe the flat bed can be used as a shield.

(Wow... Guess Cargo hauler won by a landslide, and I'll try to make his chassis as bad ass as possible... Though I'm not an artist and can't draw... heres a placeholder for how I imagine his general body shape to look like)

A Cargo Hauler, Even before you joined the Cons your chasis was built for endurance and long Kilo-cycles of hauling ore or raw energon across Cybertron made you a tough bastard, almost as tough as the tanks you've fought alongside.

Your chasis had adapted to a life in the pits, you had your fair share of gladiatorial matches, a few dents and scratches marring your legs and arms. You had chosen not to repair most of these, as while not numerous they were reminders of your mistakes.... including the one right in the center of your chest that still scraping hurt...

Most of the crowd around you were either Racers, average citizen street cars or fellow cargo haulers of varying degrees of size and function. None made eye-contact with anyone else, just eyes forward and towards the ground whilst the sky-scrapers and weapons manufactories of Kaon loomed above with an ominous violet glow. Propaganda and messages from Shockwave himself continued to blare down from speakers above the streetway...

>"Obedience and Service shall guarantee your energon quota"

>"Report all suspicious activity to your nearest Enforcer"

>"I am always watching my Citizens"

As you continued on, heading ever towards the outer reaches of Kaon you entered an open market along the periphery of one of many pit arenas scattered throughout the city. Within the market, hundreds of merchants and swindlers peddled their wares, mostly black market replacement parts for optics, servos, and of course drugs of every kind and quality.

You imagined that any micro cycle now the cons would realize you were missing and send out hunting parties...

Should you:

>Enter the market, you have some spare Energon, and could do with supplies if you wanted to chance the Sea of Rust as a way out.
>Enter the Arena, Perhaps going down through the Oil-works would lead you into the depths of cybertron
>Continue on, You may not have enough time, but you know a couple of fellow haulers who might be willing to help you in a speak-easy a few clicks away... They owe a couple of favors to you and perhaps you could slip out of Kaon in plain sight...
> Write in; If anyone has another idea of getting out of kaon I'm all ears...

(Guess this won by a landslide again, as a side question to all... )
What should be Scrap-Runners' specialty regarding combat be? Pick two
>Melee weapons (Cybertronian axe, Energon sword, ect..)
>Long ranged weapons (Null lance, Photon burst rifle, ect.)
>Mid-range weapons (Neutron assault rifle, Path blaster)
>Short range (Scatter-blaster, Gear shredder)
>Heavy weapons (Thermo rocket cannon, Riot cannon)

You continue on, passing around the marketplace and back into the throng of downtrodden Cybertronians, A shift change occuring at a rather convenient time and allowing you to merge with a crowd of similarly shaped cargo haulers just leaving a factory up ahead.

Within a few more cycles your destination is within reach, and perhaps not a moment too soon as you hear an alert sound over the decepticon battle-network.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUaaEIaK0sk&list=PL5AA680DEF1EFA900&index=6

It appears the Decepticons are onto you, though they don't yet know your location. Further in the distance you see a security checkpoint, one of many scattered even on the lowest levels of Kaon.

Wasting no time, you duck down into a non-descript alleyway, the walls and tiles surrounding the structure having not fared well against the megacycles of rust and decay. The speak easy beckoned you forwards with a flickering neon sign that said...

>"Remix Cascade"
With a rather provocative image of a Feminine bot in a variety of pinks and purple lights laying across the top of the bar. Of course, the effect was kind of spoiled with the lights flickering on and off in some parts, or completely broken altogether. You were still impressed, it was still in buisness despite the dwindling amount of energon everywhere and through the war.

A pair of bouncers stand before you, admitting a small line of prospective cargo haulers and smaller civilian bots. By the time you reach the entrance, the line has already been processed, and both bulky tank bots turn to face you like ancient glacial boulders.

"Energon chips for entry... or Members chip" rumbled the left tank bot, holding out a palm that was probably big enough to wrap around your entire face.

What shall you do now? You know for certain your old friends are within... (You have 300 energon chips)
>Pay 30 Chips for entry
>State that you are a friend of the owner, and need to speak with him; you knew the old owner, but are not quite sure if she is the same person who owns it now after all these kilocycles...
>Attempt to intimidate the bouncers to waive or reduce the fee ; You've fought Autobot Titans three times their size and come out on top... They should be scared of you...
>Fight your way past the two Bouncers, likely causing a commotion (But hey you don't have to pay no sticking energon to these two bozos)
>Find another way in, perhaps you can find someone who would be willing to give up their members card...

(Also... I'm not sure if we should use dice rolls..)
>>
>>501983
Argh... Meant to say in one of the last options 'need to speak with her' not him... consistency issue sorry...

Does anyone think we should use dice rolls to determine success? I've been thinking of introducing a stat system I've thought up... Though I'm not sure if it would make things easier or harder to work with...
>>
>>501983
>Weapon choice
>Short range. Big honkin shotgun ninja.

also
>Pay up
We went this route to avoid detection. Causing a shitstorm now defeats the purpose.
>>
>>501983
>Melee weapons (Cybertronian axe, Energon sword, ect..)
>Mid-range weapons (Neutron assault rifle, Path blaster)

My choices for weapons would be some kind of scrap cannon for ranged weaponry and a Big, nasty axe for shortrange.

>State that you are a friend of the owner, and need to speak with him; you knew the old owner, but are not quite sure if she is the same person who owns it now after all these kilocycles...

Hopefully she's still around.
>>
>>502030
To clarify, I don't mean an Energon Axe, I mean a fully solid nasty piece of metal.
>>
>>501983
Forgot my second pick for weapons. Uhm, melee.

I'm liking the idea of a bulky close-quarters specialist.

As for the dice question, I'm fine with it, but on the stipulation that the players are allowed one "what in the fuck are you doing, numbnuts?" roll every now and again incase we suggest something really goddamn stupid.
>>
>>502030
>>502048
>>502002

Actually, could we combine these? A huge fuck-off axe with a scrap cannon in the head that can also fire more solid chunks of metal farther?

Having a specialty in melee weapons sounds good, I can see Scrap runner carrying around a Flak axe, though concealed for the time being of course.

Though we still seem divided on the second pick along with what to do, so I shall wait for a third anon before continuing.

>>502048
The 'What the fuck are you doing numbnuts' as hilarious as it sounds, is a fair deal I think. If anything a part of me wants us to get into that sort of situation at least once during this adventure.

>>502071
As awesome as that sounds, I'm not sure how to balance that kind of custom weapon... Maybe if it has to transform between each mode and takes about as long to change function as a standard gun takes to reload....

Maybe I can make sure we find this weapon later on.... though stick with a simpler yet still lethal metal axe for the time being for one of the weapon choices...
>>
>>501983
>State that you are a friend of the owner, and need to speak with him; you knew the old owner, but are not quite sure if she is the same person who owns it now after all these kilocycles...
If that doesn't work
>Pay 30 Chips for entry

Also

>Melee weapons (Cybertronian Axe, something wicked since he's an Ex-Decepticon)
>Short range

>>502071
I'd also go with this.
>>
>>502089
I'd be willing to switch to close-range if we can get an upgrade to the Flak Axe later. The Flak Axe would be the combination scrap cannon and Battleaxe.
>>
>>502089
The Flak axe sounds like a good idea
>>502107
Also liking the upgrade idea but for second specialization I think short range is a good idea, for now since we're in a city, Cybertronian cities are usually designed with very close spaces in mind, a shotgun like weapon would be deadly in these circumstances.

But as an after-thought we must keep in mind longer range options for later on.
>>
Actually, I'd prefer a hammer with that scrap cannon in the head idea. It hits and fucks you up twice.

(So Scrap-Runner is a tough, CQC specialist, probably fought in the tunnels beneath cybertron or in urban battles such as the siege of Iacon.)

>"I need to speak to your boss...Requiem, I'm an old friend and I require her help urgently..."

Both tank bouncers glanced at one another, before glaring back at you..

>"Yeah... that's what allot of the other losers ask these days... What makes you so important to get the boss lady's undivi-"

>"Cavern EE-289... Just tell her that and my name; Scrap-Runner..." you say to the bouncer, greasing the request by handing him and his buddy 10 energon chips each...

The bulky tank glanced down at the currency, towards you, then towards his partner in a almost glacial slow motion... Before nodding and stomping through the door which hissed open on squeaky hinges...

"Keep an eye on him for me Wallop..." rumbled the one on the left, "Going to go see the boss lady..."

A few dozen Microcycles passed, in that time no more patrons appeared to come, and only a few left, half of them in a drunken stupor, glowing coolant cocktail misting from some of their grills.

Finally the bouncer bot stomped out before you, and nodded...

>"You can come in... She's waiting for you in the VIP section... to the right..." said the Bouncer, waving you in as Pre-war Cybertronian rave music poured out..

Wasting no more time, you went in and were met with a sudden assault of the senses... Lights, colors, sounds, even smells of acids and bases and oils battered your sensory circuits and systems...

There were quite a number of people in the speak-easy, and of course there were several attractions aside from the bootleg ethanol and energon...

Gyrating on poles of platinum... or at least platinum plated were a variety of female bots, a collection of shift workers and cargo-haulers gathered around each one as they danced and gyrated...

Though that was not your concern, ignoring the obvious distraction in the center of the club, you gazed along the righthand side and saw something that made you almost smile... Almost...

Avoiding the drunken patrons and parties of workers gathered about the tables shouting at random intervals and playing a variety of... probably illegal table games even for decepticon standards, you were finally before her...

"My... It has been a long time Scrap-Runner..." purred the fem bot before you, her violet and black chasis just as smooth and unblemished by time as you remembered.

"Come to remember the fallen? To toast to the dead?" asked the racer, motioning for you to take a seat...

What should you say or do?

> Ask if you and her can go to a more private area, and if some of your old shiftmates are still around the place too.
>Sit down and speak with her here, you're safe for now, you can indulge in speaking with her for a while and fill her in
> Write in

>>502107
That sounds fair to me, upgrading the battleaxe to a flak axe later, along with other weapons we come across sounds good

This works.
>>

>> Ask if you and her can go to a more private area, and if some of your old shiftmates are still around the place too.

The Enforcers know about us and would be scouring the cityscape by now searching for us, they may even come into the place so a private area is a necessity

She seems to understand your undercurrent of urgency, glancing towards a blast-door recessed into the wall not too far away...

"Follow me then my dear" said Requiem, her bodyguards flanking both of you.
>"Darksling would you mind finding Highload and Sidewire for me, and Blockaid, please wait outside and keep anyone else from coming in save those two I just mentioned... This is to be a private party..."

With that said, the doors quickly opened and shut the moment both you and Requiem entered the rather nice if slightly cramped confines of the private room, a pict screen hung on the far wall and a space desinged for a retractable dancer pole stood in the center of the semi-circular space...

>"This room doubles as a bomb shelter and safe room... We are free to say anything regardless of what Shockwave deems appropriate to say..." said the fem bot, pouring herself a decanter of a glowing green liquid, and not of the cheap stuff and offered you a glass...

>"A toast to the fallen?"

>You may choose to accept or reject the 'drink', is our character cordial? Against any kind of mind altering chemicals? A party guy at heart? Or perhaps a bit of an addict that doesn't want to go back/feels the temptation to do so...

>"I guess we'll cut to the heart of the matter, I've listened to the Decepticon net... You're a wanted Bot Scrap-Runner..." said the racer, crossing a leg over the other and taking a sip from her drink...

> "This leaves me at a bit of a conondrum... As a citizen of Kaon I am duty bound 'To report any and all traitor activities', and to be honest, Shockwave does reward those who obey him handsomely... much more consistent than Megatron or the council ever was..."

>"Though I've known this particular bot for a very very long time, and even though he hasn't come to even visit me during this long war... You seem to have the audacity to call in a favor in the hopes I simply won't detain you and hand you off to the authorities...."

>"So I just want to ask you one compound question... What made you tear off that emblem on your chest?

>Well? What was our reason....

> We saw too much, Shockwaves experiments and methods will be the death of our race
> The Cause is dead, the decepticons I joined once have all either died, or been turned into monsters...
>Write in reason (I would be happy to accept anyone who can come up with a better one, feel free to write out the dialogue..)

(I hope I've been doing an okay job at least thus far with this story...)
>>
>Accept drink.
Traditions are important when every thing else is ash.

> We saw too much, Shockwaves experiments and methods will be the death of our race
> The Cause is dead, the decepticons I joined once have all either died, or been turned into monsters...

"When the cause started it was a rebellion against the class sistem. It was a rebellion against your alt mode defining who you could be. The Prime was corrupt and decadent and did not care about the lower classes. Back then Megatron apeared to want us to be equals, to defeat the corrupt Prime and lead Cybertron to the age of wonder we were promised long ago. But somehow, somewhat, things changed for worse with the Decepticons in power, we traded a single tirant for hundreds of them all over Cybertron. The abuse to the lower classes is worse than even with the corrupt Prime and instead of your alt mode defining you, what it only seems to matter is who has the most power and influence. This... this is not what I was fighting for. And really dear, you might think you are comfortable in your current situation but the energy crisis will just keep getting worse. And is only a matter of time until a group of Decepticons decide to make this place theirs. All the power and influence you have, all the bots you betrayed and killed to help the cause, will mean nothing if a scuadron leader decides to make you and your place theirs."

>Requiem finished her drink just as you finished your answer (With a quote from Thundercracker no less), closing her optics and letting out a sigh...

> "You are right Scrap-Runner, at least for the most part" said the fem-racer, uncrossing her legs and slowly standing up

> "My time is limited as.. 'queen' of this little section of Kaon... and the price to keep this place running has only steadily increased, especially with the 'Energon collectors' shockwave keeps sending my way... eventually even bribery won't work..."

She winked at that, though her expression became a bit more serious after that, reaching for the decanter and giving herself another shot...

>"I just wanted to know why you did it... Perhaps as a way to convince myself that I too should escape..."

There was a beep at the door, and with a flick of Requiems fingers a counter beep was sent to the other side, though it was not heard by you...

"Though you are wrong about one thing.... I may have killed my fair share of nobles and swine... But I have never betrayed my comrades..."

With that, the door opened, and standing side by side stood two faces you probably never thought you'd see again...

>"Well well... If it isn't the old scrap-bucket himself" said one of the cargo haulers, stepping in casually and followed closely by the other similarly sized hauler...

Both bots were just as beat up, strong, and of course living as you remembered.. In times where most of the Transformers you remember fondly were dead in some Primus forsaken battlefield or collapsed tunnel, this was a boon.

>"We thought you were dead kilo-cycles ago Scraps, had the whole funeral and everything down in one of the mines" said the other, "Nice to be proven wrong though... which reminds me, Highload, you owe me 50 energon chips"

>"Aww come on seriously?"

Both laughed at that and settled down into chairs, the room felt cramped now with all four of you in there, though they wisely gave Requiem some space...

>"So what brings ya here Scraps?" asked Highload, his blue eyes flickering as his grill/faceplate had been permanently welded shut in a foundry accident mega-cycles ago.

>"Can't be just for some girls and booze... not that you don't give the finest Lady Requiem~" said Sidewire, the youngest of the group and one who would have been a prime decepticon recruit... if not for an unfortunate accident in the mines that left his right arm in a constant rigor that only subsided in alt-mode.

>So what should you tell them all?

>I want to get out of Kaon as part of a convoy to Polyhex (Don't fill them in you're a fugitive)
>Let them know from the beginning, and your plan of escape

>I want to get out of Kaon as part of a convoy to Polyhex (Don't fill them in you're a fugitive)

Yeah, I mean friends or notvthe Cons could have tempted the two of them with repairs. A new arm and a new face is something Shockwave could do.
>>
>>502421
>Let them know from the beginning, and your plan of escape
They are our friends and we came here for that reason.
>>
>>502421
I'll wait for general consensus this is a tough one, on whether or not to tell them
>>
(I'm not familiar with transformers much, but this is pretty interesting so far, op.)

>>502424
Anyone who bothers with a funeral will not betray us. I say we tell them everything and that we are planning on escaping.

Friends we haven't seen in years and who stayed as lower class due to labor accidents, while we enjoyed being one of the elite soldiers with all the privileges that had.

Unlike Requiem who doesn't want to end as some Powerful Con slut, they have everything to win if they betray us. A new arm and a new face and to finally get better jobs, highter pay and privileges.
>>
>>502446
Upon further though perhaps the safer option is to leave them in the dark, if they're our friends they will have to forgive us.
So I'm changing to

You decide to tell it to them both straight, giving a highlights reel as to the why and how you left the decepticon cause.

Both Cargo Hauler's optics widen, Sidewire's hand even stops figiting for a micro-cycle as it sinks in.

>"Megatronus's T-cog... You've gotten yourself into a ocean of raw energon's worth of trouble Scraps..." said Highload, downing his drink in one go through a side-slot in his face

>"Scrap... Well I guess that kinda explains why you weren't able to come and visit us.... Guess the con's are strict in regards to free time" said Sidewire

> "I know... but what I really need to ask now is if you two are willing to help... I'm asking allot from you both, and I won't ignore the fact that if Shockwave finds out you two help-"

>"That one eyed freak can take his calls for perfection and shove it up his tailpipe" said Highload, "That is if the rod that's already in there di-"

>"I think we get the picture Highload..." said Requiem, partly covering her face with a hand

> "Right... ehem... Well, We're with you Scrap-runner, you've done right by us in the past... I say we can do right by you..." said Highload, Sidewire nodding alongside him with a determined look on his face.

>"He ain't getting no love or loyalty from us beyond the bare minimum... the moment he's done 'cleansing Iacon' and the other autobot cities, he's coming for guys like us next..." said Sidewire, his hand still shaking...

You remembered some of the experiments Shockwave had performed... Mostly on living cybertronian subjects as a way of 'improving' their standing... You hoped like hell nothing like that would happen to either Highload or Sidewire, though the chances were high it was only a matter of time...

>"So... I guess it's settled?" you ask to them all, and in unison, the other three bots nod once

>"We'll get ya out of here Scrappy... Just so happens a convoy leaves tonight, hauling some Thorium to Traxus... I'm sure we can make a detour out to polyhex without too much trouble"

Though just as you four were about to go over some of the finer details of this plan, including whether you would be one of the cargo-haulers or hiding among the cargo... There was an incistant buzz, and a red light flickering by the door....

Requiem moved to get up, a frown on her pretty visage, stilleto leg augments clicking as she went. The door swished open and there was a hurried exchange of words with Blockaid, the obsidian black tank's red eyes glancing warily towards you...

>"It seems a group of enforcers have arrived... They wish to speak to me about a decepticon deserter that might be in this general vicinity..." began the fem-racer, her eyes locked onto yours and then your friends in turn...

>"I advise you three stay in here..."
>>
>>503552
(Ran out of room)

What shall you do?

>Advise Highload and Sidewire to step out... make it look less like Requiem was in this room 'by herself', trust in requiem to resolve this
>Step out but remain out of sight, alt-moding will give a low enough profile to stay out of visual range behind the ledge overlooking the club and before the blast-door
>Remain inside... Requiem knows what she's doing, trust her to resolve this
>Write in option

(You could also choose to delay coming out, the door can open at any time you wish from the inside)
>>
>>503563
>Remain inside... Requiem knows what she's doing, trust her to resolve this
If this does turn into a fight we are best at close range fighting.and it may turn into one we do tell the bouncers who we are not our best move.

>>

Good point.

"Hey guys, there is no way the Cons won't want to see the secret room. Could you two wait a moment and then go out pretenting to have been lied about a job offer? Then make a mess big enough segurity has to escort you two out, but not enough that the Cons will get involved."
>>
>>503766
That sounds better but we should tell Requiem we plan to do that to make sure that won't mass up what she is planning to do.

I'll wait a little bit longer for perhaps another voice to give thought and catch up
>>
>>503810
Requiem is already out of the room my bad but she did tell us not to leave this room so I think staying here is the best idea but your idea did sound good though.

Remaining inside the private room is probably for the best you realize, the rave music outside silenced as the doors hissed shut once more. The only thing that suggested the music still pumped through loudspeakers, was a steady thrumming beat that traveled through the floor beneath your feet.

Highload and Sidewire tried to remain optimistic, taking the time provided to fill you in about the route to Traxus, where and when they could stop, emergency detours they could take in the event of checkpoints...

For a few dozen microcycles it appeared things were going fine, until you noticed something off...

"Guys... why did the music stop?" you ask to both your companions, who turn and look at you quizzically...

"How can ya Tell scraps? We can't hear a thing through that door" replied Highload, glancing towards the door with a little concern in his voice

"The vibrations stopped beneath our feet..."

Should you:

>Remain inside, you're sure it's nothing of note...

(3v2)

>You remain inside, whatever it is that happened outside, you should remain here out of sight for as long as possible.

A deathly quiet overcomes the room, both Sidewire and Highload keeping still as best as they can, the occasional rattle coming from Sidewire's hand... You feel a weak vibration through the floor, it's rhythmic and appears to get slightly stronger as the microcycle goes on...

"Guess the DJ messed up and knocked out the electronic records for a bit, the music's back on" said Highload, his fused faceplate tilting towards you as he gave your shoulder a friendly clank with his knuckles

>"You're just a bit too highwound being on the run, the Enforcers are probably leaving now as we-"

But the vibrations only grew more intense, an irregular beat to them... it reminded you of something, when you were fighting in the close quarters of Iacon... The rhythmic thump... the spooling up of....

A red light shines on the door, and with a hiss it begins to slide open...

(I think now might be a good time to roll of whether or not we respond in time to something...)

>Roll d20+2, Choose an action, 10 results in success, 9-8 partial success, 7 or less failure

>Transform into alt mode and charge out
>Remain in Bot form, duck to one of the sides of the door.
>Remain sitting, this is probably just one of the bodyguards coming to let us know the coast is clear...
>Stand and Draw one of your weapons (Axe, or Scrap-maker shotgun) and level it at the door...
> Write in response

The door opens to reveal the friendly face in pic-related, It's rumbling servos shifting as it tried to fit in the doorframe, it's optics systems finding you within their targeting systems...

Fortunately for you, and perhaps unfortunately for the guardian, you draw first Energon with a Scatter-blast slug to the faceplate... The Construct staggered back, the blast resounding about the room just as the heavy automaton fell backwards, crashing over the durasteel banister and onto a table that the patrons quickly vacated...

That had to hurt, but it wasn't quite down for the count, blinded and wounded as the monstrosity was...

>"WHAT IN THE NAME OF-" screamed a voice in the distance, apparantly a silver and black seeker with the decepticon herdaldry proudly displayed on his wings, his gauntleted hands currently holding a pair of energon pistols at Requiem while three other Enforcers, racer patterns hefted pulse-stun batons at her body-guards, one of whom looked to be bleeding energon from a chasis wound...

A nano-cycle later, the look of surprise on the seeker's face shifted to a sinister grin...

>"Well well... If it isn't the convict in question... So glad you could make a grand entrance"

Shifting his attention back to requiem, who was admirably calm in the face of being shot full of holes, his leering grin didn't leave his wind-swept face-plate...

>"I guess you were lying to me after all... That's a chargeable offense you know... With death as a hefty fee"

The guardian is still squealing and stumbling to get up, your buddies already leaving the doorway and moving to crouch down by your side, thankfully hidden from view... Each armed with a primitive, but still effective solid-slug weapon on their arms...

What do you do now?

>Finish off the guardian, and then address the apparent leader of these enforcers

(GLORY KILL)
>Without hesitation, you vault yourself over the wall, your heavy Cargo hauler frame providing just enough force in a concentrated area to crunch the faceplate of the guardian in on itself, fresh energon splattering the ruined table it had landed upon.

Pausing to load a fresh Tri-shell into your shotgun, (9 remaining) you gesture towards the leader and warn him what will happen if he focuses on anyone else but you...

> "J-... Just words... From a-A cornered Traitor!" shouted the seeker, his attention directed towards you, though he kept his weapons pointed at Requiem..

His subordinates stood shocked, If Cons could have accidents, bolts and coolant would be spewing from their exhaust jets...

>"What are you fools standing around for! Arrest him!" said the seeker, exasperation entering his voice, before pointing one of his pistols at the ground at the other enforcers' feet, making them recoil and snap out of their awe for the most part...

>"Shockwave wants Scrap-Runner alive, just like the others~"

The other three cons advance on you, their shock batons raised, Plasma Riot shields hummin... You knew the former were far from non-lethal weapons... Though a part of you felt that perhaps honor demanded that you fight these foes on equal terms... Just like in the pits of Kaon

The patrons of Remix Cascade around the bar and tables already have either left for fear of their lives, or hid behind counters or heavier objects for cover... The DJ still at his podium giving a thumbs-up in your direction as approval...

>The DJ pressed a few buttons and slipped an old rusty cassette into the sound system... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6BbvCC0VI0

It's time to show these fools how you survived the pits of Kaon, pulling your Durasteel axe from it's holster on your back, you raise it over your shoulder, enter a standard fighter's stance... and advance towards the three enforcers.

The first dies quickly, and rather foolishly, shouting at the top of his voice-box in an incoherent warcry and swinging the crackling stun-baton towards your head. You had anticipated such a move, and sidestepping the Decepticon's wild-charge sends him off balance, an error that you take full advantage of with a sweep of one of your legs... And then a Quick swing downwards that crunched into the bot's neck and chasis...

Even as Energon spurted uncontrollobly, staining the club floor with the viscous blue glow of cybertronian life-blood and coolant, the other two more cautiously approach. One circling to your right, the other to your left...

They intended to box you in between them, it's something you would have done... but it was an uninspired move. With a swift kick, you used the environment around you to your advantage, sheering another table from the bar floor with a swing from your wicked axe, and then kicking it at the one on your right... As that con was sent stumbling, wasting precious seconds to get back into the fray, you met the other one in a clash of electrified stun baton and sharp durasteel blade...

This one was more cautious than the last, but he would die all the same... One strike.. Two strike... Three... And his stun baton was sent flying up to impale itself in the ceiling and discharge it's energy into an overhead light....

> "HE'S JUST ONE BOT! HOW COULD YOU SIMPLETONS FAIL TO-" began the seeker, though you ignored his rambling for now

With a hilt smash that crunched into his faceplate, the second-con went down just as the third and final came in with a desperate swing... You ducked and let him shock his own buddy to death, rewarding the enforcer with a swing that cleaved his weapon arm right off in a spurt of energon, and cascade of wires....

Then... with a mighty heave, you lifted the severely wounded enforcer, and held him out in front of you. Just in time too, as letting him be your Corpse-shield prevented the Leader seeker from getting a clear shot...

Screaming incoherent rage, the seeker continued firing both his pistols at you from across the room, filling your corpse-shield with holes, a few stray shots clipping the sides of your chassis and leaving minor scorch marks.

>"JUST SCRAPPIN DIE!!"

Unfortunately for the seeker, he was not paying attention to Requiem... All it took was a nanocycle

>"That can be arranged" she whispered in his auditory sensor, her lithe racer form embracing the Con in what looked like a sensuous way, though her tritanium heat claw at his throat suggested otherwise...
>>
>>506457
>"Drop those toys of yours..." said Requiem, her two unwounded bouncers/bodyguards coming up to stand beside her... (Blockaid and Wallop if you remembered right)

Left with little choice, and a look of terror upon his face, the Seeker immediately dropped the still cooling pistols onto the floor with a clatter, and you did the same with your 'shield', letting the wreck collapse and nearly fall apart...

>"You... you think this is over?!" shouted the seeker, turning his head but wincing as Requiem pushed the heat blade closer against his throat, discoloring the cables and metal connecting his head to his shoulders..

>"Shockwave will have you fed to his insecticons when he finds out what happened here, the lot of you!"

"I'm sure he will... or at least he'll try... but for now, keep your mouth shut or my boys will seal it for you.." said Requiem, nodding to her two bodyguards who took hold of the seeker's arms, and wings...

With the lone seeker survivor contained, and the other enforcers and lone guardian sparking and spilling energon, you surveyed the damage to the bar which was... extensive...

"I hope you'll pay for the mess you made Scrap-runner..." said Requiem, a smile on her face whilst her weapon concealed itself back within her fore-arm, "I'm kidding of course... though now the question remains what we are to do with Mr. Enforcer..."

>"My name is Spark-Soar you wh-" began the seeker, though it ended in a sudden pain as Wollop began to twist and distort one of his wings with a 'gentle' twist...

>"Watch words... You addressing the lady..." said the tank bot...

Well with the situation now contained, there was now a bit of a problem, Requiem and the others were involved now.... And there remained the question of what to do with Spark-Soar as he fidgeted and glanced towards you with a little bit of fear...

(Interrogation, Success)

You approach the seeker held in place by both bots, your Axe still drawn and wet with still cooling energon upon it's surface. Your face is not one of mercy, nor compassion, and the seeker appears to tremble before you...

>"I will Ask only once... Tell me everything you know about the other enforcers, their patrols, access codes and I will make sure your face remains intact"

The Seeker promptly spills everything he knows, some of it you know to be outright lies, though there are some grains of truth to his words. Apparently they had expected him to go underground into the depths of Cybertron, Most of the patrols extended several clicks into the bowels of Kaon and the upper tunnels of cybertron's interior. His group of enforcers had only been sent on a hunch by Barricade; the enforcer leader who answered directly to Shockwave. He gave you a dozen access codes too, most of which seemed to be outdated by a few kilocycles, though one was recent enough....

>K78G-9951-Omicron

Other than that, he didn't have anything else of value it seemed when it came to what came from his vocal centers...

>>506685
"Y-You... You promised you wouldn't kill me!?" screamed the seeker, as you leaned in closer, letting him see the depths of your eyes as they burned with hatred...

>" I said I would leave your face intact... Though I doubt if they will give you an open casket funeral...

With that you slice open his torso section with the point of your axe, letting him watch you with suprise, and pain in his eyes as you then shoved your hand into the spillage of circuits, wires and energon pooling on the floor...

With a deft yank, you rip out his T-cog forcibly, along with a chunk of his spinal column and several other transformer organ systems, much to the horror of your victim and the other bar patrons along the side....

>"Flying Scrap seekers like you fragged more of us ground-pounders than the autobots ever did..." you say to the dying seeker, "That was for Section Python delta in the siege of iacon..."

>>506757
>"Though perhaps mostly for pointing a gun at Requiem..." you say, the two bouncer bots off to either side letting go of the now dead seeker and letting him slump pathetically to the floor, their optics wide open in suprise, and perhaps a little fear themselves....

(Will write the loot soon, hopefully that was brutal enough for a 20 roll )
>>
>>506773
So do our friends think we are insane/similar to the monsters wee left the cons due to
>>
>>506684
>>506674

As you check over the bodies, both of the now dead seeker, the other three cons, and their construct... you find something rather unexpected on the Guardian...

Taking out your trusty axe, and leveraging open a plate...

>Quantum Stabilizer - Completely eliminates recoil on an equipped weapon (+1 to rolls involving said weapon when equipped)

Must have been used on it's neutron rocket pods as a way to compensate for the sheer force of them leaving the tubes... thankfully you killed that threat before it became a problem... Unfortunately those same weapons were mounted directly to it's chassis... they weren't going anywhere and would need more tools than you have to get those weapons to work.

Otherwise there was a few other things you still had plenty of cargo room for...
>2 Shock batons
>2 Collapsable plasma shields

>>506660
>+22 energon chips
You also manage to find a small number of energon chips from them all, nothing big, but every little bit helps...

The other bots in the establishment, including your two buddies start coming out of hiding, a few reluctantly restart the festivities despite the bodies plainly on the floor... The war and fighting had gone on for so long, they were kinda disillusioned from death, it was best to live in the moment...

"Damn Scrap-runner....I'm not so sure that Con deserved that, but even shockwave's sure to hear about that.... We need to get you out of here Last Cycle"
>>506862
Sidewire seemed to agree, though being younger was a little more disturbed by your brutality...

"Are you sure you're the same as when you left to join the decepticons Scraps?... I still want to help you... But that..."

>Agree, it's time to go, offer some good-byes to your friends and pack up the loot
>Offer to clean up the mess first, Requiem while thankful to not be harmed probably doesn't appreciate her bar being trashed, or at least offer compensation...

"I don't know, I just keep thinking what Shockwave would do to me since he wants me alive and I got carried away. And yeah I should leave now. Requiem do you want to come with me? The Cons won't be happy after this and some bots may even tattle on you."

Also, I wanna ask everyone else: What's everyone's goal here? Getting off-planet? Just escaping? Making a resistance cell?

Personally, I wouldn't mind either forming a resistance cell or joining an existing one. The information we got from the seeker would be a pretty good bargaining chip if we wanted to get into one.
>>

Junkion might be a good place to lay off for a while unless ìt has been blow off.

A resistance movement would be pointless due to the Cons having both the numbers and the energy resources.

(Sorry about the delay, everyone... Got called away... Anyways, this is the last post of the night, I'll try to be here tomorrow in the afternoon)

You turn and nod to your companions, but there is one last thing you have to do before you leave. Requiem is speaking with one of her bouncers, the one with the plasma bolt wound. You would have taken the energon pistols too.. but they were Code-locked to the former seeker's personal spark... even trying to pull the trigger would make the weapons enter a self-destruct mode that might blow a good guardian sized crater in the floor...

You walk up to Requiem, who turns, and smiles at your approach...

>"I already know what you want to ask Scrap-Runner, the answer is a regretful no."

> "But the cons ar-" you start

> "I can't just up and leave... not yet at least, I need a little more time, and my girls still need me at least a few more cycles for them to get resettled..." said Requiem, honest regret in her violet colored optics.

She reached up and gave your face a gentle caress with those soft fingers of hers, and with little warning plants a gentle kiss on your cheek-plate...

"I appreciate the offer... But there is one thing you can do for me" said the fem-racer, reaching down and grasping the hilt of your war-axe, the energon still evaporating off it's surface...

"Give me a nick... And a little harder one to my tougher employees' too... I've called the enforcers about a fight breaking out and they'll be on their way in a few hundred microcycles..."

"Why did... I don't want to hu-" you begin again, but she interrupts

"The story has to be at least believable, The Original enforcer team arrived, I aided them by letting them know their fugitive was in the building... He resisted arrest, killed all four of them and the guardian with a concealed weapon and Scatter-gun"

"And then he held me hostage until he bolted down into the undertunnels via the emergency escape hatch, he forced it's location from me at blade-point and took some of my day's proceedings too..." finished Requiem baring her neck and pointing right where to aim

"Now do it... And get the scrap out of here while you can, Highload and Sidewire know the best ways with minimal exposure to Shockwave's scanning drones..." said Requiem, her other hand handing you a rather substantial number of chips;

>120 Energon chips received

"The damage isnt' that bad... nothing like the brawl 45 Kilocycles ago involving Chroma and her Ex..."

>Do as requiem asks, give them light wounds and then leave via the backdoor with your buddies
>Write in (If anyone can possibly come up with a better solution... I kinda took a little more liberty writing up her response and to fill in a few plot gaps on certain things... Also, I think the patrons want Requiem to stay in buisness as long as possible too... so there won't be any snitching from them)

>>508187
This is what I imagine as well... With a leaning towards WFC and Dev
>>
>>508334
Dunno what to do about Requiem, but take the pistols.
Impromptu Explosives are always a good thing. Depending on the timer length, we also might find other uses for them.
>>

She is the smart one after all.
>>
>>508353
The Requiem Explanation was fine. I just want to let more learned or clever anons then I take a shot at it.

Unless you mean the pistols, from what I got from that was: If we attempt to use them (Pull the trigger), the pistols enter a self-destruct mode and explode.
I'm assuming they're set to something other then "Pull the trigger, lose an arm immediately." and they do the movie glow and overheat thing.
If not, then sorry, my misunderstanding.
>>
>>508367
(I suppose the pistols can be delayed in self-destructing... But do you really want to have that rattling around in your cargo bay in an uncontrolled manner?... I was thinking of something along the lines of judge dredd)

Anyway, I really need to head to bed... work is in another 6 hours
>>
>>508382
Ah, okay. So you did intend it to be the "Pull the trigger, lose an arm." thing. Never mind then.

The cons are going to have a hell of a time getting them off the floor though.

Ah sorry... Call it a 48 hour hiatus, I apologize everyone, but I had to go and think about what shall come next... and RL came at me like a freight train!

So now I hope that you guys will enjoy what I have in-store.... Might not be the best of plot-lines... But it's up to you which one you guys wish to head down.

Also... To clarify past confusion, I misused the units of transformer time keeping... And I'll write down my interpretations of what they mean;
A nano-cycle is approximately one Earth second
A milli-cycle is about 1.2 Earth minutes
A Centi-cycle is about 1 hour 15 mins
A Cycle is about 93 hours
A Deca-cycle is approx 3 weeks
A Stellar-cycle is 7.5 months (Time for cybertron to revolve around it's sun)
A Kilo cycle is 1 thousand revolutions (625 years)
A Mega cycle is 1 million revolutions (625,000 years)
So I've obviously screwed up the narrative a little... but I'll try to stick to this so things aren't going at ludicrous speed.

You do as Requiem asks, A gash appearing upon her neck that she reflexively clutched, it hurt... but it was merely superficial. The other bodyguards took their own hits sullenly, wincing as you gave them scars worth writing about in areas you thought would make sense for one defending themselves and backing off.

With that task done, you picked up the two plasma pistols that belonged to the deceased Spark-soar, and stowed them away... perhaps you could safely dismantle and sell the components in some fashion later on... you still had plenty of room after all in your chasis for cargo.

With that, Sidewire and Highload lead the way out of the Speak-easy, Remix-cascade's back door providing an alternative out of the establishment and into a set of side alleys. A few dozen millicycles later, you hear the characteristic sirens and alert sounds as Enforcers descended upon the establishment a few clicks away... With any luck, they wouldn't find that you had went on foot rather than crawled into the bowels of cybertron.

The millicycles passed... Finally after a few close calls with passing patrols (That you thankfully knew in advance from your interrogation of the seeker), you reached the relative safety of the storage facility where the convoy would leave from in the morning...

Highload approached and entered his passcode; as the foreman of one of the convoys, he had access to the warehouse in advance...

"Just to make sure everything is there... Don't want any cons or thieves taking product before it's delivered... " said the old bot, his faceplate still fused, but eyes flashing as bright as ever through his worn cranial chasis

"We should be alone in there... and... done, now let's get inside" said the cargo-hauler, and you follow him in, the dull red glow of the moderately sized warehouse's lighting casting crates and stacks of materials in a foreboding lighting...

>"So Scraps, what's the plan now?" asked highload, the old cargo hauler moving over to access the manifest logs from the primary terminal; the violet decepticon logo emblazoned in the screen's background... But something flickered across the screen...

>”Hold up…” you say to highload, stepping forwards and gently pushing the cargo-loader out of the way, glancing at the terminal as it flickered once more.
On a hunch, and from a little bit of guesswork you accessed the panel and began to backtrack it’s data-logs, a stream of data and cross-refrences flying past in their thousands every nano-cycle. You couldn’t understand a lick of the ancient cybertronian code flying past the screen, but you recognized the patterns it made. With a few more keystrokes and a click, you hoped whatever it was within the terminal was isolated…
>LOCAL SYSTEM REBOOT…. INITIALIZED… SHUTTING DOWN ALL LOCAL FUNCTIONS…
>”Scraps what are y- ” began highload, before the power within the warehouse shut off, killing the lights and enveloping them all in darkness..
>……
The screen was blank now, devoid of power and the only light came from the eyes of your fellow cargo-haulers.
>“Scrap-Runner, we needed that terminal..” stated Highload, facepalming in the dark whilst Side-wire fell over into a pile of detritus in surprise, “Now how are we going to access t-”
> ‘LOCAL SYSTEM INITIALIZED… IDENTIFYING’
The rumbling voice came from everywhere within the warehouse it seemed, and with a blaze of red light that bathed a thin band of the warehouse from one end, to the other and back again… casting everything in stark red or black contrast, and focusing mostly upon you…
>”Megatronus’ T-Cog what did you do Scraps?!”
Finally after two passes over your form, the scanner stopped, and a warm golden yellow light seeped from the floor not too far away from you… With a sound of shifting plates and ancient systems coming online after many mega-cycles of inactivity… A strange platform with a uniquely shaped terminal rose from the ground, clicking and merging with finality into the floor with a dull *KLA-KLUNK*…
>’IDENTITY CONFIRMED, DECEPTICON SCRAP RUNNER, THOUGH PERHAPS I SHOULD BE USING FORMER DECEPITCON…’ the voice was harsh and metallic, a rune in the shape of an equilateral triangle with a vaguely Decepticon, and yet vaguely Autobot symbol at it’s center pulsed in time to it’s speech…
Sidewire and highload looked on speechless at the revealed terminal...
What should you do? (Choose 2 actions)
> Demand to know what it is, and how it knows your name or you’ll start chopping
> Ask it politely to reveal it’s intentions, and who it is aligned with; It’s obviously not decepticon in origin
> Go up to the dais and interface with the terminal
> Destroy the terminal, you can’t trust anything that just pops up out of the floor… it could be a trap

It's obviously something of interest if it's located in a simple warehouse, got to remember Cybertron itself is a transformer and the planet holds countless mysteries.
>>
>>517192
No the transformer is the moon, that happens to be a unicorn... err Unicron.

Primus is inside the planet but doesn't have a robotic body, he created the transformers to fight Unicron.
>>
>>517255
Unicron's head as the moon isn't until after the battle of Cybertron, during which, the decepticons are forced out. Shit's not happened yet, yo.
>>
>>517263
That's new lore. Old Lore has Unicorn whole body being Cybertron Moon. Basically Primus sealed Unicron and himself into huge spheres that later became planets. Unicron turned his prision into a transformer while Primus created the Transformers race.

Granted Unicron was suposed to be planet sised but he was never show that size in any media.
>>
>>517290
New lore? Ex-fucking-cuse me, since when was the events of the original animated movie from the 80's new lore?
>>
Right I got confused with that show were they used Unicron head as a base... and they did not even show all the episodes, damn cartoon network.

Anyway Unicorn has never apeared as planet sized, maybe he shrank due to using so much of his power to make a body? Or more likely Cybetron is bigger because about half if the planet is machines. I can totally see the primitive transformers, that did not even have alt modes yet, keep building to get more space. Hence why Cybetron has so many ruins underground.

Thinking about it they should really have made a fake movie clip with the Autobots facing a moon sixes unicorn on the movie 25 aniversary.

>I AM TELETRAAN ONE...

The voice sounded almost hollow as it came from the terminal, the hololithic displays showing a variety of information and data-points, the latest being that of cybertron itself...

>I AM BOUND TO THE SERVICE OF THE LAST PRIME, THOUGH IN HIS ABSENCE I AM BOUND TO NO ONE CYBERTRONIAN, AND AM TASKED WITH THE PRESERVATION OF HISTORY AND KNOWLEDGE.

The voice paused, another simulation displayed showing a hologram of the Decepticons, some of the last few moments of the Great war as the Ark rocketed off into space with the Nemesis in pursuit...

>I DID NOT INTEND TO CONTACT YOU SO SOON, SIMPLY MONITOR YOUR BEHAVIOR BUT YOUR ACTIONS FORCED MY HAND... YOU WERE ABOUT TO ACCIDENTALLY TRIGGER THIS FACILITY'S SECURITY SYSTEMS AND ALERT ALL ENFORCERS WITHIN A 50 KILOMETER RADIUS...

The machine let that sink in for a little while, it's displays and systems showing a variety of charts, from estimations of how long before most of the population was energon starved, how many would survive, the length of time required for the core to repair itself... And then Shockwave's visage appeared off on a little display to the side.

>AS FOR MY SECONDARY INTENTIONS... I REQUIRE YOUR ASSISTANCE IN A MATTER OF GRAVE IMPORTANCE. HOWEVER, THE VERY KNOWLEDGE OF THIS EVENT WILL PUT YOUR LIFE AND THE WELL BEING OF ALL CYBERTRONIANS IN EVEN GREATER PERIL SHOULD IT FALL INTO THE WRONG HANDS

The machine was silent for a time, more information spooling across it's data feeds, some showing you and your own capabilities.. past, present, and... potential?

>THEREFORE, I CAN ONLY GIVE YOU A CHOICE... IF YOU REFUSE, YOU ARE FREE TO ESCAPE TO POLYHEX AND THEN ON TO WHEREVER YOU DEEM FIT...

>IF YOU ACCEPT THIS BURDEN I OFFER, YOU SHALL BE DOING A GREAT SERVICE TO ALL OF CYBERTRON, AND I SHALL DO ALL WITHIN MY PROGRAMMING TO AID YOU IN YOUR ENDEAVORS.
