Anyway though, thanks for waiting, I was trying out drawing with a tablet I just got.

So here's a rough map that you know of. Light green is grasslands, dark green is forest. The red square is the nomad camp, blue is the stream leading up out of the valley through the forest to a waterfall, and large river beyond. Yellow indicates the direction which your old tribe was.

Anyway, so last the thread left off, there was some idea of sending the boy to further scout the areas beyond, maybe if he could find other people or a new place to live. As for the other two, Uru has been living closely among the nomads with his wife and learning their ways and ideally, their language which he is making some headway. Ile meanwhile has been trapping for the nomads, fox pelt in particular they seem to like.

As it were.

Another week passes, and you manage to get by. Ile between trapping collects other necessary supplies, though at least just by appearance they seem to prefer her sticking to trapping. Uru on the other hand continues his work as a craftsman and both learns from and teaches some fellow crafters of the tribe. His grasp of the language slowly improves, a growing understood vocabulary.

The boy does come across something interesting while exploring though. Traveling north to follow the river past the waterfall, he comes across a small camp of people on the far side of the river, and a ways beyond that what looks to be a large lake with signs of people on the other side. On his side there wasn't much of note, other than a fairly sizable cave he discovered near the lake. That is as far as he can go though, with the supplies he has.

As for the nomads, in the last few days they've seemed more active than usual and appear to be organizing things around the encampment.

Very good. Uru begins work on a basement underneath him and his wife's tent. She has no earthly idea what he's up to, but it isn't detracting from his responsibilities to her or the tribe, so she doesn't interfere. After about two weeks, Uru will have a primitive basement beneath his tent.

Ile continues her hunting and trapping, and when the chance is available, does so with the boy as their teamwork in this is very successful. He needs a name by the way, if anyone wants to give one.

By the end of the week of note, a small group of people from someplace else show up, with some four legged animals in tow. They have with them plenty of goods, to which the nomads welcome them. Maybe this is what they were expecting, as the strangers more or less set up shop, and a good deal of bartering is set to take place it would appear.

Doing that entails agriculture, which neither you nor the nomads have access to. It can be learned, but it has to be from someone or some tribe that knows agriculture already.

Getting tools to work on the basement though is well within Uru's ability. Anything in mind in particular with the basement, or just a couple rooms underground?

How do you plan on accomplishing this? It's not impossible, but the nomads won't willingly go along with it and Uru is not a fighter. Also he doesn't know enough of their language to be able to find out whom are virgins.

When you say join us, do you mean the nomads, or the characters? As of yet, you can't consider yourself part of the nomads. Uru is the closest but still not actually assimilated. Note, that the nomads don't know of these other peoples, just Oofoo whom went scouting in the first place.

>Uru feeling pretty high and mighty with himself, challenges one of the nomad leaders to combat. Uru doesn't exactly give him a chance to say no and attacks, nearly killing the old man before he is pulled off by others of the tribe. Fortunately he manages to evade capture by fleeing to the basement under his tent. For now he eluded capture, but the tribe is on the lookout for him. Of note that his wife knows what happened and is sheltering him at least, it seems.

Oofoo meanwhile is sent upriver to try to make contact with the other people he noticed. He makes the distance to the first group but encounters a problem in that they are across the river and he doesn't know how to cross it. Your tribe lived on the grassy plains, so water travel is a bit beyond your capabilities currently.

Ile meanwhile serves as the middle ground, and between leaving the nomads to explore and attacking their leader, she simply continues her duties. Though, she does begin to make her own little stockpile of supplies in case the time comes to strike out on our own from the nomads.

Oofoo eventually manages to get a fire going to try to attract attention of the people across the river, which he does manage to draw but even after a full day they make no effort to cross over. Some study of them indicates that they don't have any boats of their own.

So he moves on, some days later to the lake, trying to get the attention of the people across at a point as close as he can get. Eventually he does catch the attention of some fishermen who come over in some small boats. A total of four of them, who seem curious but not hostile. They are weary of approaching too closely due to the wolf though, and they seem to speak a different language.

And the trolling in other quest threads (on /tg/ mostly). But you still get some here on /qst/ too. Just take a look at some of the other threads. Its not that much, and seems like a small dedicated few who absolutely hate quests.

Ah well I figured maybe a little trolling is alright here and there, but not that people would end up focusing on it and keeping to it. Either way it's been taken back now.
