You are the 15 year old Nathaniel Joesph.

One day, you wake in a strange place. Your head hurts. Your memory feeling "blurred". Everything about you felt different, really. And you quickly note three people around you. But the feeling they were wasn't there. One clad in heavy armor had the act of a frail coward when you looked towards him. A man in grey robes and with a goatee, looking as if he recently succedded in doing something. And a youthful female with a long bow, who seems to stare down at you with so much doubt it's hurts your head further somehow.

Your really fucking confused, can't remember much about yourself, and have no real clue of where you are. So far none of them have told you a thing and have been staring at you for hours on end. Maybe it was time to do something.

>What do you do?
>>
>>473216
Ask where the hell are we.
And what's going on.
>>
>>473216
>Check inventory
>>
>>473243
The one in gray robes seems to step up to answer the question, speaking as if it is an honor to be speaking to you. As far as you can remember, you've never been very popular.
"We are in south of Turga, Kym. I, The great Derek, have managed to summon you."
You have no fucking idea where you are anyway though. But the whole summoning business catches your attention
>>473244
You check yourself. In your pockets you find a pocket knife, a cell phone, and a stick of gum. Nothing of use in this situation though.
>>
>>473283
>Ask why and how he summoned us.
>Check out phone.
>Chew some gum.
>>
>>473301
You ask, and the gray robed man seemed ready to speak up once more. But some quickly put off by the woman with the bow. She speaks with doubtfulness in her tone. It became pretty clear she wasn't expecting much from you, for whatever you were here for.

"You've been summoned to help against the forces that plague our land. Keep the people of Gerosda in a false peace."

She'd also mutter her doubt of you quietly.

Heavily armored fellow seemed to be a bit hesitant to ask by soon enough he does. "Hey...What is that your chewing on...?" He was referring to the gum.
>>
>>473301
Also no service on your phone as well and it was just above half of it's battery life. Probably could still play games on it though.
>>
>>473333
>"It's something for chewing. Made with sugar and stuff"

>"What kind of plague?"
>>
>>473353
The armored fellow looked in awe, but keeps a bit quiet after getting his answer.

As for your answer, The woman and Derek go back and forth with their explanation. Plague seemed to mean an army going around keeping populace of certain villages. The force meant that's meant to wipe this army out is apparently you. Or at least they assume as much from some kind of prophecy they keep talking about. And through the midst of irrelevant explanation of other small things you come to know the woman to be Iras and the armored man to be Herald.
>>
>>473333
"what do i get out of helping?"
>>
>>473413
>Why should I help?
>How am I supposed to fight an army?
>Does this world have magic or something?
>>
>>473468
>>473480
You ask and Iras becomes the miasma of doubt in what you could ever do to help. Luckily enough ,she wasn't the one to reply, because whatever she would have said wouldn't have been pleasant. Plus you were getting a bit annoyed by Derek's voice as well. So it was Herald who answered this time

"Well, a fun adventure to help a lot of people...But I guess you would be paid in gold for your efforts as well. As for how your suppose to fight the army, that's for you to figure out. We were told that someone would be brought to this would by Derek's efforts. A powerful Mage."

Having magic might explain why you felt far from normal. But even if you did, you still didn't know how to use it.
>>
>>473530
>I want to learn your people's history and their life as it is now.
>Then flip Iras off. Tell her it's a gesture in our world that we make to compliment beautiful women. Then laugh to ourselves.
>>
>>473726
>Laugh hard.
>>
>>473530
Youre still considering it but ask to be taken to a nearby town or city.

Is there anything special about us at all?
>>
>>473742
Don't give away our answer. It makes us look feeble. Just ask them to show us the people. Their lives undeterred and then the lives of those that have been victims. Don't ask what makes us special either. Hold ourselves high, confident yet not. Pokeface; don't show our cards until everyone's shown there's.
>>
>>473761
Shit, i meant the special thing for the QM not the summoners. Was hoping for super intelligence or future tech knowledge or something else to work with
>>
>>473726
Derek chimes to tell the quick history listen. He speaks that a majority of Gerosda's history was of peace until a few years ago. Dangarnon, the army, would have appeared come into the lime light. They slaughtered a few villages, without a clear reason, and previous forces sent to stop them were killed as well. People started to believe a rumor. If they did nothing, they could avoid their slaughter. Without many other opinion, that's what people begun to do. But they stilled ended up slaughtered anyway There were a few that thought against the rumor, the three around you for example. Those people instead believed in a fairy tale that told of this time and how it would end. By the hands of a individual who Derek described to looked similar to you. Except a little more equipped.

As for the gesture made towards Iras, she looks off quickly. Not wanted to take such things from someone like you.

>>473742
>Youre still considering it but ask to be taken to a nearby town or city.
You are told that not far from here, Dewhurst rest. A nice little town they are willing to take you to. It was about a half a day trip at which you should arrived by nightfall. As you arrive it is seen the town is already in ruins apparently. The others looked as if they weren't expecting this.

>Is there anything special about us at all?
As far as you know, there's nothing very special about you. You have present day knowledge, but it isn't of much use unless you could find some tech, which would be hard since you walking about with a mage, warrior, and roguish archer. You do, however, have a hunch that you have magic however, but don't know how to test it.
>>
>>473862
Dude, I'm still waiting for that laugh.
>Walk through the ruined town. Touch, hear, smell, breathe. Dig through wreckage here and there.
>>
>>473862
Ask them all their personal history and pay extra attention to the wizards story. theres a clue on how to magic in there some where.

Search for survivors and loot.
>>
>>473862
>Fip off Iras again, with TWO hands.
>>
>>473862
>Also, teach Herald the bro nod and bro fist.
>>
>>473881
>>473897
The sweet refreshing smell of fire and dust. As you dig through anything that didn't look like it'll collapse onto you the moment you touch it. You don't find much though. Not much more than corpses littering the streets. You ask them of their personal stories. Herald tells his history of being a coward throughout most of his life. Iras a noble who was against the idea of doing nothing. Though doing her story your teaching Herald how to bro nod and the bro fist. He seemed a little confused at first but eventually got it. When Derek's story comes along he tells himself to be a fallen High Wizard with only a shell of his former power. There were small hints of how to go about this magic but they all seemed to be time consuming. You also managed to flip off Iras again with bother hands and she quickly turns her head away from you once more. Finding yourself laughing about it this time. Out loud at that. Iras seemed to be catching on that the gesture doesn't mean as she was told.
>>
>>473934
I would give you a hug if you were within 3 feet of me, OP.
>Tell me about Darganon.
>>
>>473943
Derek step up to tell the tale of Darganon. When the word army was said, that seemed to be a bit of an exaggeration. Apparently it was more so of a team of people. From the town, Rotherham. They'd level it without a clear reason, and quickly gathered an infamous reputation for what they did. Destroy stuff. But even with that lack of number, they've managed the destruction seen around you And able to cause it with quite pace. Usually after destroying a town, they keep a few members behind to loot, and kill survivors, which is probably why you couldn't find shit. You get kinda pissed because this information wasn't provided to you before hand. You really wanted to find something neat. Like a magic sword or some survivor. Something like that.

But something else clicks suddenly. You quickly come to the thought that there might have been a few Darganon around the town still. With loot at that.
>>
>>474006
>Get cover and yell, "don't hurt me!" And just stay where you are, completely still and quiet. If not one pops up, we're out of here.

Derek was still babbling on as you asked. He kept up for a moment before stopping to answer. He tell you that your to figure it out because you were summoned to do so. With some aid of course however.

>>474006
You get cover as the others look kind of confused of what your doing. You haven't told them your brilliant plan yet, so they don't know what to do. But once you shout they proceed to get cover as well. For a moment it appeared nothing was going to happen.

The longest moment of your life really, but a figure jumped from a roof of a home barely standing. The person had apparently heard your yelling and has come to check it out. The figure appeared to be male, and on fire. Let's repeat that, On fire. Carrying a bag as well. It must have been loot. And he must have been the one who set fire to the town. He doesn't look like he'll be leaving anytime soon either.
>>
>>474077
Meant to quote this.
>>
>>474162
>>474170
It's cool, OP.
>Ask Derek to cast a ranged spell. Knock fireman away. Then reveal ourself.
>HELLO WOULD YOU LIKE TO TALK ABOUT TURTLES?
>>
>>474186
Derek seemed focused on the fire man at first. But he could provide with the request. He'd looked move over to Iras and retrieved his staff from her, since some mages were lazy like that. He'd move his hand towards the fireman. That was when he took notice of you all behind cover. He threw fireballs towards you all but they didn't reach. They and the fireman as pushed away by a wall of wind. Derek muttered about it not being good enough.

And then you'd reveal your positions completely and you'd shout in hopes to talk of turtles with the man. The fire man seemed to simply get pissed as he got up to recover. The man shouted death threats of burning with a scratchy voice.

You quickly notice his loot bag on the ground though. And the fire man still quite the distance away from you. You could probably take it and run with your allies. Or you could stay to fight. They looked ready to do either.
>>
>>474268
Ask Derek to cover you with spells- defensive spells as you run for the loot bag. Or just keep fireman away. Ask Iras to volley him. Ask Herald to defend them (I hope he has a shield)
>>
>>474278
>Actually if Derek has an invisibility spell he ould cast on us, that would be great. Otherwise, run for the bag with the aforementioned wizard support while shouting about how he needs to take care of his body better.
>>
>>474278
You'd give your the three the plan and you'd nod to them all after. Iras still to like the plan but majority ruled, since Herald is your bro and you'd convinced Derek to side against Iras.

A moment later, you broke out running for the loot bag, talking about how you could have taken better care of your body. It wasn't too far but the fireman was running quickly, leaving a trail even. Throwing fire balls at you mainly as he approached. Derek didn't have any invisiability spells. Luckily for you, Derek did have a ward spell on you. It dimmed the pain of the fire, but there was still a bee sting at worse. Iras was doing her job. She was volleying the fire man with arrows that appeared to make steam when they made contact. As for Herald, he was along side you. Shield up, Herald was charging along side you. But the goal wasn't the bag for him.

In a moment, you were in grab range for the bad. And the fireman was in third degree burn range of you. You'd think this would be the end for you. Then your bro Herald rammed the fireman knocking him back. You were glad to say the least. You grab the loot bag and turn tail, away from the fireman. The others followed suit. And the fireman was in a daze from getting hit by Herald.
>>
>>474372
check on Herald to make sure he's okay - he's our bro after all, can't leave him behind or let him die

is herald cute
>>
>>474372
also check to see if there's anything of interest in the bag, duh.

And thank the team for their teamwork - even Iras despite not entirely trusting us followed through. Say something like "Maybe there's a chance we can pull this off after all" or something for morale.
>>
>>474372
Ask if anyone knows any water related spells.
>>
>>474372
>>474381
>>474396

We will not fraternize with a bro in such a manner. As for the moral part: "Iras, I think fireman needs a hug. Can you take care of that?"

But yes, thank them for their aid and especially Iras for her cooperation despite her clear dislike of us. Then turn around and tell fireman we come in peace. We give free hugs or something like that. If that doesn't work, there's the tried and true method of the infamous tactical retreat.
>>
>>474381
>>474396
Herald managed to actually get ahead of everyone when it was time to turn tail. He was pretty scared the entire time. But the bro-ship kept him from running in the beginning

As for the contents of the bag, you look inside and find a large sum of metal coins. As well, a few gems were include. You'd search for anything else that might have been inside the bag and find a ring. It wasn't simply jewelry though. It gave off a warm green glow. It might have been magic.

Turning to the team you'd congratulated them on their hard work on getting the loot! Even Iras unfortunately. They all seemed to be a bit on edge either way, after such a tense moment. The fireman screaming in pure rage somewhere in town.

>>474428
Derek says he knows a few he could use.

>>474435
Iras actually just dislikes Nathaniel, seeing him as some kind of false savior. She can stand the other two pretty much. As for going back, you feel highly discouraged as when the fire man the shot to kill you, you would have must likely done it without a second thought coming to mind. Luckily Herald was there to save you. And the scream wasn't helping you decide either.
>>
>>474488
I like Iras. It's fun teasing someone who doesn't like you and she's apart of the scout archetype sets (rogue, ranger, hunter) that like. No hard feelings. As for the false savior part, we'll just have to see.

>Ask Herald (not Derek, a coward knows where to run and hide) to bring us to a safe place. Then, ask Derek to brief us on everything he knows. And if Ira has any reliable noble friends- people we can have by our side to use their influence for the safety of the people- like her. After all thats done, ask Derek to teach us magic.
>>
>>474488
Can we make a cut in our palm with a knife? I'm just curious.
>>
>>474488
Oh, and ask Derek for the text on the legend/prophecy. We're going to do some research first. Scratch asking him to teach us about magic for now.
>>
>>474552
>>474598
Away from the burning town with the screaming fire man in it. The team soon found themselves leaving the ruined town of Dewhurst. The smell of fire and dust wouldn't be missed and the smell of fresh air welcomed.

You'd ask Herald of anywhere they could run and hide, because of his cowardaice, he would know best. He tell you that, "Since we're near Dewhurst, or what's left of it, to the west is Far Water." He'd say it was a kingdom, and those were usually the last thing Darganon would aim to level. They'd like to save the best for last.

Far Water seemed like a ideal place to hide away for the time, atleast that was what you could tell from what Herald spoke of it. The other two seemed to agree with Heralds words as well and you all change direction towards the kingdom. It would be a long trip.

Asking to brief you, he sees it as a rather vague question. But he gives a wild guess to what you wanted to know. He telled you that the fireman you'd stolen from was one of the Darganon. And now knew all of our faces as well. You realize this was something he should have said before.

As for asking Iras if she had any noble friends, she simply says that she has a few in Far Water. Though she was unsure if they would be so willing to help.

Derek seems almost at honor to tell you about the legend. He tells you the summoned one, or you assumingly, will be able to take out members of Darganon with a great show of power. It was always assumed through the means of magic, but no one as certain.

>>474590
You can
>>
>>474641
>Knick a finger with a blade
>Ask Iras about her family (if it's okay with her). She's of noble bloodline, apparently. I want to know what her family thinks of her participation in this. Whether it'll harm or help us, specifically. But don't give that away, it's presumptuous and rude.
>Ask the Derek for an appraisal on the item
>Ask the 3 of them for what's a suitable "base of operations"
>>
>>474691
>Knick a finger with a blade
"Ouch" You knicked your finger. A tiny stream of blood slowly flocked down. Your blood had a slight glow to it. Maybe it was something you ate.

You asked Iras about family, and she keeps quiet at first. Then told you that her family was one of the many that believed that doing nothing would be the best watyto avoid their slaughter by the hands of the Darganon. They didn't support her will for participation in this line of work so she ran away. They're probably assuming her head. Pretty sad story desu. Not on the spot crying tier.

Derek takes the ring and appraises it. The hand he holds it with glows brightly. Maybe some kind of spell or something. Whatever he was doing, he gave no clue. He just kept quiet with his eyes on it. After some time had passed, he finally spoke it. "It's a cursed weapon. We're lucky we took this from that Darganon. This things are dangerous in the hands of anyone."

The three of them look at you but Iras is the one to answer. She says Far Water is a pretty safe place for the time being. We could make a "base of operations" there until the Darganon came and raid the place. Essentially, good news. And even more as well. The kingdom could have been spotted on the horizon. It was pretty massive kingdom. Shouldn't have expected anything else.
>>
Derek doesn't give back the ring either...
>>
>>474800
>>474818
A cursed weapon in a village? Um no. Looks like Derek is too insecure about his power. I think he wants to return to his former self a little too much. Watch him.

>Touch Derek on the forehead with our bleeding finger. After ask to touch the artifact with it as well.
>>
>>474846
Derek attempts to distance himself and is often seen staring down at the ring. But your so often watching him he doesn't pull anything funny. But you better your blood on his forehead so suddenly just throws him off. A very awkward situation. When you ask to put some on the artifact as well, he gives you a blunt:

"No"

He doesn't seem to want to give an explanation, either. And the other two don't seem to be fully paying attention to you and Derek's interaction.
>>
>>474899
>Offer a hug to Derek
>Ask Derek if he's sure he doesn't want a hug
>Ask again
>Apologize for the awkwardness of suddenly painting his forehead with our blood (not that he can see it)
>In a sudden act of spontaneity, thrust out our hands and yell "FUS-ROH-DAH."
>Then just get to Far Water

You offer Derek a hug! He seems to hesitate at first but surprisingly enough he accepts it. You'd ask if he'd want another one, and all he does is squint at you with a stupid look on his face, making you look surprisingly uncomfortable. You'd asked again and the look seemingly intensified. You apologize for the awkwardness and Derek simply nods. At the impulse of shouting, "FUS-ROH-DAH", not a single thing happens. Must haven't have been dragonborn, like that one game. Derek is only intensely squinting at you again. During his free time he got the blood off his forehead. After suffering through the awkward trip, your team finally walks up to the walls. A guard in the way of letting you enter.

"State your purpose, and reason to enter here Travelers." The guard would have said firmly.
>>
Welcome back OP. Sorry for my abrupt leave yesterday. Wasn't a choice on my part.
>>476516
>We can let the other 3 take care of this.
>Offer the gaurd a hug too. We will be known for our hugs.
>>
>>476523
It's fine, bro.

The other tree do take care of it. Iras really, she seemed to easily convinced the gate's guard into letting you pass somehow. The guard had the process of opening the gate, which took about three minutes at most. Derek seemed to ask how Iras did that but she only comments, "Don't ask." Either way, you were free to enter along with your team. And you did so as well.

Though before you entered, you'd offer to hug the guard. He seemed to wanted to think about it first. It took him sometime to make up his mind but he would have said, "No." The guy must have been too busy for a hug. Standing at a gate must have been a REALLY tiring job apparently.

Upon entering past the gate, your faced with a large bridge tilting upward, towards a large floating landmass it was connected to.

You go o the bridge. It was shakey and neve wrecking, plus it was a really long bridge and you weren't as physcially fit as your team(Not including Derek through, he lazy dude doesn't even carry around his own staff). It took awhile, but you all finally reach stable land. Well it was pretty close. You come to realize the kingdom as a massive landmass in the sky, with a few smaller islands floating around it. The kingdom itself seemed colorful and innovative. Small airships floating around, and the use of gears and such for almost everything as far as the eye can see.

Derek is muttering something about how Science is a joke.

But no time to dwell on that, your team is quickly surronded by a group of guard. One would have stepped up, assuming the captain of the team, to address a reason for what seemed to be capture. "You all are to be escorted to the kingdom to speak the the Queen." You and your team didn't have a choice in the matter though. Do you try to escape or comply?

"No."

The captain say with a quick response. You were starting to get the feeling non of the guards would want to hug you. That hit your moods, but maybe one would. Soon. That kept you optimistic. But for now you complied and went with the guards towards the Large Castle on a island of it's own. It was a long walk that challenged the walk on the bridge, and the guards wouldn't let any of you stray off so there wouldn't be any hugging anyone you passed. But eventually, you'd make it. The castle was massive up close and you'd enter it with others.

Once you were in the castle, you quickly found youself being guided by the captain. The other guards stayed at the gate. You are walked through the confusing maze that was the entire castle. The Captain was guiding you all fine, but what you find strange was that Iras and Derek was walking along side the captain. As if they've walked the halls, and knew them well. It was really only you and Herald confused of where you all were headed.

But eventually you all find yourselfs in a chamber. It was large and elegant and towards the end of the room stood a throne. The throne had a woman playing with a bit of what appeared to a green colored magic in her hands. She'd didn't realize you all at first but hen she did, she get a smile on her face.

>"If it isn't my niece and the former high wizard! Jared leave us."

The captain would have left to address you four. She'd motion her hands for you all to come closer.
>>
>>476566
>The captain would have left to address you four.
The captain would have left so the queen could have addressed you four.
>>
>>476566

>>476571

As you approach, you get a better look of the woman. Her arms had lines on them running from the finger tips to her forearms, but there was a feeling the lines were trying to move further over the arms. Her clothes were pretty normal for someone of royalty. But there as something strange about the crown on her head. It glowed green, similar to that ring Derek still won't give up. The green glow was a higher shade though. As for everything else, seemed pretty normal.

She'd look at you as you made the claim of Marriage to BOTH her daughter and Iras. She simply grinned and moved torwards. The grin said she wasn't taking you very seriously. She put her hand on her The others looked a bit scared for you however.

>"So Jazzibel, whose this lucky little boy who has stolen my daughter AND your heart."

The queen would have given a light little chuckle. She surely seemed like a fun person. Iras looked a little angered being called by that name. The other too seemed to be relief nothing happened to you by the hands of the queen. You were a bit confused on why they were so scared for you.

You'll push you to the point one day. Right now, she's just trying to tame the urge to do it now. AS he she's you cover your mouth to prevent yourself from laughing out loud. You were making the effort, but she could tale that you wanted to laugh. He seems to become increasingly angrier everyone moment.

After the moment passed, you tell the queen that you were summoned. Her eyes meet Derek's for a moment and Derek would have just nodded. Her look went back onto you after that.

>"You don't look like much of a Savior of a people, but I've been wrong before."

She goes on to tell you about the situation. More towns have been savagely wiped off the face of Gerosda as you are being told. And nobody have yet to do anything. She tries to push her forces but they are of the majority that prefer to do nothing. Nothing you haven't already basically know from listening to Derek. You are told that you will be support the best she can provide to combat against Darganon. She also gives you a 'You can do this, you can save our realm' speech making you feel encouraged.

>Magic is not recognized as something of an existence in my world. We herald science as our standard of power. With it, we can annihilate cities and the strongest of us can level entire countries in only a matter of seconds. But I would prefer not to employ said methods. First, I was told that it is presumed I would save the people of this land by magic. So naturally, I want to see if I have an aptitude for magic- teach me. Otherwise, I will be forced to utilize other tools. And your crown, why does it glow? Is this magic?
>>
>>476610
The queen would have tilted her head to the capabilities of science in your world. It became apparent that has never been done through the means of science here. She seemed worried for a moment that you would try to use such method but felt relief after you'd say you wouldn't want to. As for your assumptions, she'd nod.

>"Yes that is what we assumed but we were never sure. If you want to seek a aptitude for magic, the quickest way is probably hitting you with each element of magic and seeing if your resist to one or a few. That would usually be the magic you destined to use. Getting hit by others hurts quite a bit though, if I'm being wholesomely honest. As for my crown, it's a Cursed Artifact. There are many within the land of Gerosda to be found. The few knows are mine, a crown. The high wizard's, a ring. And the few the Darganon possess. As for if they are magic, they are. Instead of giving an explanation I'd prefer to give a 'demonstration' if you all don't mind."

She'd give a chuckle to the saying.

>"There are two form a Cursed Artifact can be in. A form of a trinket, and the form of a weapon. Former is more suited for a mage, and latter for a warrior. I am a few that could go either way."

She'd take a few steps back. It seemed she needed space for whatever she was planing on doing. She'd held her hand out. Nothing happened at first. But then a green and black energy grew around her hand. The feeling of it as immorally depraved. And it spread out across the throne room. So everyone could feel it's power. You could even hear Herald shivering in his armor.

The queen hand soon had a shape over it. The shape of a oddly shaped sword. It formed over her hand as the crown on her head faded. It took a few moments but soon the queen held a weapon leaking in the feeling that was previously feeling the room. It was only around her now. And the lines that ran up her forearm were no spread over her body.

>"This is the cursed weapon of Madrigal, the Immortal, Godslayer. A weapon meant for only the finest of warriors."

You'd take a look at the others. Derek didn't seem all too effected. But Iras and Herald seemed to be shaking.
>>
>>476665
>Can we do the magic test now?
>>
>>476685
She'd wave the big sword around a few times, she'd missed it apperently. Being a queen, you could probably understand why she didn't use it often. But she'd nod at your question.

>"Yes. You can start the magic test."

Her eyes went over to Derek.

>"Derek, hit him with something."

You found yourself looking over to direct, and it seemed Derek already had a spell prepped in his hands. Ready to hit you it as well. Over his hand a rock floated. It looked compact and ready to blow, like a bomb of some sorts. Derek and the others took a few steps back from you. Then he proceeded to throw a rock bomb at you, without warning. Not a chance to guard yourself either.

You get hit by the rock and it explodes into shards on contact. It feels like your getting hit by multiple rocks at once. On the good side, it felt as if you were getting hit by multiple regular rocks instead of multiple magical rocks. On the bad side, it still hurt like hell either way.
>>

I have a feeling we don't have an affinity with the basic elements.
>Next
>>
>>476719
Actually, ask what what types of magic there are.
>>
>>476719
Derek moves on to another type of magic. Energy. Magic in it's purest form. For those that usually don't tend to go the way of the elements. Derek had a blue light raising from his hand as he aimed for you. "This will bind your movements." He'd say before throwing a blue orb of light at you.

The spell made contact and went to fade into the nothing. You didn't feel any different, but when you tried to move, you felt your movements constricted. But there was some resistance. You manage to move around near a normal pace. You made a guess that Energy might have been the magic for you.
>>
>>476729
Derek tell you that there are the basic elements. There are Metaphysical magics. Ether Magics. And the two divine types magics of Light and Dark. And many more yet to be discovered.
>>
>>476731
What. The. Fuck.
>Try light
>How does "ernergy" magic interact with technology?
>Ask for a blade and knick our finger. If our blood glows again, point this out.
>>
>>476743
You ask direct to try light magic on you. But he cannot comply with the request. He tells you that he is a primed occult mage that skilled in other fields of known magic except holy. He says that use of occult and holy tears away at one's body and soul, essencially killing them within a a short period.

"But it also makes them divine."

As for you question on enery, Derek and the queen explain that technology is powered through magic. Energy magic is commonly used but other forms of magic could be used as well to power such things as air ships.

Iras moves over to you, handing you a small dagger that you knick your finger again with. You start bleeded from the knick and your blood indeed has a golden glow to it. You point it out to Derek and the queen looks as well. They well you they aren't sure about it was about, but it probably means your special in one way or another somehow.
>>
>>476775
>Wtf
>Lick our blood. Does it taste different? Blood taste coppery if you didn't know. Iron content.
>>
>>476775
>direct
Derek
>>
>>476784
You get alittle ticked off that things like this keep popping up and your still somewhat in the dark of all of this. But you manage to focus on something else. Your blood for example. You lick it to see if it tasted different. It tasted odd. There wasn't coppery. Nor did it taste like anything else you've put in your mouth ever. Whatever it tasted like, it left a strange taste in your mouth.

The others were kinda just staring at you. You usually don't tell them anything about what your doing, so there usually confused when you do things like that.
>>
>>476797
>The rest of the magic, Hit me.
>>
>>476809
Back to getting hit by more magic! Derek goes through the process of hitting you with every magic he possess one at a time. Over the course of a few hours, Derek has managed to basically torture you without realizing. He's burned you. Thrown you around with wind, nearly drowned you, Tied you down with occult magic, shocked you, thrown you around with gravity, blinded you with illusion (which had a small side effect of hurting your eyes against bright lights), hurt your ears with sounds, beamed you into a wall with a golden like magic(Which he said was not holy magic, but Astral Magic), slow you down with some kind of time magic, and finally thrown some spores at you. Your everything hurts at the end of it all. You notice somewhat of a resistance in fire and lighting however. And Derek seemed tired. Iras was laughing. Herald seemed a bit worried. The queen was still playing around with that unearthly weapon, paying no mind.
>>
>>476840
>You know what to do, OP. Flip off Iras and give a bro pat (that thing where you slap your bros shoulder) to Herald to reassure him.
>Thank Derek
>Ask the Queen for any books, tomes, text, names of people that can help, basically anything that can provide us with knowledge or more. Kowledge is power.
>>
>>476847
Iras laughing quickly turned into a face of angry and rage. She long since realize that the gesture didn't mean what you told her it meant. She saw it as a insult of sorts now, not sure what though. But that was enough for her to take the bow off her back and pull back the string. She was aiming for you. Specifically the head. She would have taken the shot too. But the queen intervened.

>"Jazzibel, no fighting in the throne room. Or Auntie Veridia is gonna have to teach YOU a lesson."

Iras looked shocked for a moment. But it quickly turned into angry, almost like a child havin a tantrum. She'd claim herself heading to her cousin's room to cool off in their. And so she stomped off in angry. You've won. You've gotten rid of Iras for the time being.

Derek on the other hand, went to the side of the queen. He said he had important things to discuss, but he tells you, "Your Welcome." You also bro pat Herald on the shoulder that that makes him feel a bit better.

You ask the queen for any book, tomes, text, and other things of that calliber. She says you have access to the library for the time. And shouts as well.

>"JARED!"

The captain came running, you could even hear him furiously coming down the corridor until he appeared in the doorway of the throne room. He'd ask if the queen wanted him to remove you lot, that seems to be what he wanted to to. But she just tells him to bring you to the library. Herald too if he wanted to come along.
>>
>>476879
>Thank 'Auntie Veridia' and ask if she wants a hug
>Ask Jared if he wants a hug again
>Going to have to apologize to Iras later
>Let's go to the library! Bring Bro-rald with us.
>>
>>476923
>"It's no problem kid. Jazzibel is difficult person, but she'll probably warm up to you...Eventually. If she doesn't try to kill you first...And sure, why not."

The queen moved over. You hug her, and her you. It was a hug that lasted about a moments before she broke away. Making way for her throne with Derek close behind her. They went to have private conversation after.

As for asking Jared for a hug again, he quickly turns you down on the offer. Just like the first time. And proceeded to guide you and Herald to the library, since you didn't want to leave him to stand around with nothing to do. He could probably even help you find what you need as well.

Walking through the corridor, you hear Iras voice in one of the rooms. She was venting to someone in the said room. You realize you need to apologize to Iras or she might have tried to kill you again. Later though, since the Jared didn't seem to want to wait for you. After walking through the castle again, he find yourself in the library with Herald.

There are a lot of shelves, almost all of them reaching up to the ceiling. And that was pretty high. So you didn't have much of an idea where to start, and Jared had already seemed to left. You and Herald were clueless. But maybe there was something around that could help.
>>
>>476972
>Look for a librarian/scribe SOMEONE who sorts this shit.
>If the above doesn't work, start yelling like an autist for about a minute. If that doesn't work- well let's get to tht first.
>>
>>477008
You find yourself walking around for sometime looking for a lore master, librarian, scribe, or someone who could help you. At first you found no one that could help you. Just as got ready to start scream and old lady comes out from behind the shelf. She was carrying a stone and offered it to you.
>>
>>477024
>Wut. Is this a tablet? Introduce ourselves and our bro Herald and accept the tablet. It has text on it? If so, read it.
>>
>>477030
You introduce yourself and Herald to the old. She only says herself to be the stone keeper and said nothing more. She instead walked off leaving you to do whatever with the stone. You'd look down at it as she left. You don't exactly know what to do with it. There are glowing writing on it you don't understand. Herald seemed to move his hand towards the tablet and touch it. A flame appeared off the tablet. It was an illusion since it wasn't giving off heat. And it spoke as well.

>"Hello, I am Bosan. I am a Lore stone. I am made to guide you around the library and help find what you need."

It was somewhat like a modern day tablet actually. Not nearly as neat.
>>
>>477051
>Hullo, Bosan. Is there anything here related to the hero of the prophecy? Or perhaps glowing blood?
>>
>>477064
The lorestone's flame dims for a moment. Maybe it was searching for what you needed. Whatever it was doing, it didn't take very long. As the flame brightened again.

>"Everything you've requested can be found in the Folktale Section. The books on 'Hero of the Prophecy' are more abundant then the ones that mention 'Glowing Blood'."

The flame would have changed it's shape to point towards where it needed to go to find the book. Sorta like a GPS for people too lazy to find a book on their own.
>>
>>477098
>Glowing blood first.
>Lead the way, Samsung
>>
>>477113
You find the stone leads you better then your gut. Or anyone that has offered to guide you somewhere, so far. As within a few moment, your in a completely different section of the library. Since both of what your need is in the Folktale section, you wouldn't need to leave the area. The stone points you towards a certain shelf. You'd move towards it and take a look

>"The book is called 'The Lucky and The Damned,' it's has a red cover with a blue outline. Shouldn't be hard to spot on the shelf."
>>
>>477128
>Get it, sit down on the floor, start reading. Read it with Herald. Comments he make may hold valuable information. He understands his world better than us.
>Thank Bosan and have him wait on standby (pretty sure this isn't neccesary, like he's synonymous to Siri but it still wouldnt hurt to be respectful)
>>
>>477135
The flame dims to almost none existence as you tell the stone to sit on standby. It seem it would have been this way until told otherwise. But you weren't focus on that.

You read the lucky and the Damned while sitting on the ground, with herald. The book seemed to be based around a fairy tale of two groups of people. People of glowing form, the damned. And people of glowing blood, the lucky. The lucky were ones watched by 'The Great Ones' and the damned are pushed by 'The Soulless One'. The two groups fought, the lucky ones were never too skilled but were called lucky for a reason. You read more pages and it's about previous interactions between the two groups. But at the last page, you find it that you're there. In the progress of being drawn even. Must have been some kind of magic recording book. You take a moment to watch yourself being drawn and notice Herald is getting included in the drawing as well.
>>
>>477178
>What the flipping fuck
>Ask Herald to hold it
>Wake up the magical tablet
>Are there any more books on glowing blood, The Great Ones, or The Lucky Ones?
>>
>>477195
You find yourself confused and hand the book to Herald. The moment you turn you head, you hear him shout. "OUCH!" You turn back to him for a moment, and he tells you that the book harmed him. You stare down at his hands and their smoking. Probably why no one knew about the glowing blood thing. They couldn't hold the fucking book.

You take your eyes off Herald for a moment and decide to wake up the stone. It's flame brightens and you ask it questions.

>"As far as I can search, there isn't any more on the Lucky Ones. It's a unheard query in all of the sections. As for the Great Ones, I can tell that myself, it is common knowledge. Unless you'd rather go read of it.
>>
>>477231
>Tell me o great magic tablet
>And then read. Theres always slightly off topic information in books. Some may be useful.
>Apologize to Herald
Ill be back in an hour or two, OP. Tired as hell.
>>
>>477244
>"The Great ones are the three gods of Gerosda. They aid the people in little things in everything life. Providing luck and steering some on the right path. But those they stray away end up aiding the effort of the Soulless one. The Soulless One was once apart of the no trio, but was banished for evil deeds. In the process, a mistake was made one it lost it's soul. Hence the name. That also made it morally corrupt."

A interesting little story. But now you were more interested and wanted to read in great detail. You tell the tablet of the desire and it guides you to a new section. On the way you apologize to Herald, but he says he doesn't need one from you. Since you had no idea the book would do that, so it wasn't your fault.

Making it to the new section, you were surrounded by books on a shelf that went all the way around. In the center was a single book. Large. And on a pedestal.

>"If you wish for more knowledge on the Great Ones, It would be best to start skimming pages."

Seeya in a bit, I'll be here.
>>
>>477310
Back
>Read the book
>>
>>477561
Shame you didn't skim. Reading the book full and through, you find it that your there reading it for sometime. Hours on end. For so long, that Herald has fallen asleep and the lore stone has entered some kind of sleep mode. You find yourself dozing off as well. But the worse part is that your about ten percent into the book.
>>
>>477601
>Skim it, look out for keywords: luck, lucky, hero, heroes, teleported, blood, blessed
>>
>>477666
You resist the edge to fall asleep drooling for as long as you can. You come to realize reading the book whole would have gotten you no where anytime soon. So you begin to skim through the book for specifics. You find a small exert in the book however. It tells you the story of why your here how you got here, which you've already been told, but fleshes out details better as well. But there is another exert that catches your eye. A large portion of it is missing, but you read what you can:

>A child will be summoned at our darkest hour. A future hero to our people. The child will no nothing, but will be provided with what was needed. Luck from the Great ones. Allies to aid him in endeavors. Knowledge to know what to come....-...threat greater than what was told
>>
>>477780
>Fuck.
>Learn a basic defense spell of the energy, storm, or fire attribute. Use the books around us to learn how.
>>
>>479273
I'm up now, sorry for the wait.

You wake up the stone and ask it for where the tomes for magic spells are. It takes a good minute for it to get up, put you it finally starts you guide you towards where tomes are kept. You leave your bro to rest, you could just come back for him later afterall. It doesn't take you long to find where the tomes are kept with the help of the stone. It even pointed out to what books you needed. The first book you had to read of the fundmentals of magic. It took you the longest to read, but it helped you better understand how magic actually worked. Then you moved on to the other books. You started with a few energy tomes. Then some on lightning, and finally fire. After reading so much, a few hours went by but you had a understanding of the magics. You can even conjure a few basic things like fire balls and sparks in your hand.
>>
>>479659
Noice noice. Get Herald-bro and carry him to a bed. Dude did a good job today. Try and find someone who's still awake-perhaps that could guide us to whhere we could retire for the day? It is night, right?
>>
Actually read books about the Damned and the Souless One first. THEN do the above. Be sure tktake the first book that writes itelf with us. Tell the Queen about it. We should keep it for now.
>>
>>480445
You find yourself heading back towards the section that involved religion. Where you left Herald to sleep. Before you wake him up, you'd decide you'd want little more knowledge on two topics. The souless one and The Damned. The lorestone points you towards tell you to flip some pages in the big book in the center. You do so and find exerts of what the Souless on has done. You only read a few that catch your eye.

>The soulless one was once, the most powerful of The Great Ones. But he was the only one to precieve things differently as the others. He did not seek to aid our people wholeheartly as time pasted. He got unentertained of watching over us all. And soon enough, he was tired of it all. He made an attempt to wipe a village off the face of our world, but only was quickly stopped by the combined efforts of the great ones. They'd banish him from Ravenert, The Great One's sacturary, where in the process lost his godly soul. Leaving him a shell. Leaving him to corrupt...

>With all of the bad deeds the Soulless one has done, both the best and the worse commited was bringing the Cursed Artifacts to the realm of Gerosda. Being orginally meant for the damned to better combat the lucky, it was soon found that anyone was able to possess a Cursed Artifact. But keeping a cursed weapon for a long period of time pushed one's soul towards the Soulless one. Soon enough to serve him if they are unable to resist....

You go back to 'The Lucky and The Damned' book because there was nothing on the damned in the big book.

>The Damned are the modified individuals of the Souless one. They are usually pointed out by their glowing skin. They are modified with abnormal abilities. Extreme Strength and Speed. Keen Senses. Even wings of black energy if they've honed their body enough. They were made for two sole purposes. Cause Chaos and do The Soulless one's bidding.

You find that enough for today, or you were going to pass out sometime REAL soon. You try to pick up Herald for some reason or another. But he was still wearing his armor and carrying that heavy equipment. You fail miserably and even wake him up in the process. He gets up and yawns. He isn't mad through. He even tells you sorry for falling asleep on you.

Anyone the stone keeper lady comes around and looks up to you, hold her her hand out to you. She probably wanted that stone back. She might have guided you out of the library as well if you ask her.
>>
>>480951
Ask her to guide you out of the library.
>See if the Queen, Derek, or Iras is still awake.
>>
>>481701
The stone lady takes the stone keeper takes the stone from you, and happy guides you out of the library. But then you come to face the next challenge! The walking through the corridors! They were still like a maze to you but you call out for Jared. He doesn't come but, lucky enough you you you notice Iras is still up and walking the corridors oddly. You run over to her with Herald on your heels.
>>
>>481770
>Oh uh oh shit
>Drunk woman-that-hates-us-and-has-weapons-she-knows-how-to-use bad. Has she seen us yet?
>Okay uh see what she does first
>>
>>482121
You see it as a quick mistake to make your way over to Iras, but it appeared to be alittle too late to stop now. She'd notice you! But something was little off. She had a wine bottle in one hand, her bow in the other. And if it wasn't odd enough, she had a stupid smile on her rosey face. That being the first time you actually seen her simile. After a moment you realize it was quite possible that Iras was drunk.

>"OH! ITs...YOU...the uhh...SAVIOR! Yes..Where have YOU...been? NOT saving people?"

And than she hiccups. That pretty much sets it. She was drunk and walking around this maze of a castle. It made you wonder what she's been doing while walking the halls. Nothing good.
>>
>>482400
ask her for a drink
and where nd how are we ? and where the beds are
>>
>>482400
>I'm saving you right now because you're popping brain cells that drunk

>Then run like the wind
>>
>>483150
>>483297
>"I...don't need help from YOU! I'm doing JUST fine...walking by myself."

She seemed certain sh didn't need any help from you. But then again, that was certainly the drunk side her of speaking. Or it might have been the regular side of her as well. You realize that neither side of her would want any help from you. BUT you can't let a drunk Iras walk around the castle. So you ask if she knows knows where her chamber is. She'd points the direction she came from.

>"THAT way. I left a trail...so OBVIOUS it's uh... IDIOT proof. So even YOU can probably find it."

You take a look back to where Iras came. Your not quick to spot a trail but notice a couple of knocked out guards. Poor bastard probably tried to stop her and got hit over the head. Probably why she had the bow out. To use as a blunt weapon. Then you suddenly fear what would happen if you got to close to Iras.

You don't know until you try. You and Herald try to get closer to Iras. Taking it nice and slow, step by step. And suddenly, Iras takes a swing at you with that bow! Your lucky and manage to get the the side just in time. Iras stumbles forward until she fell over. And landed on her head. You and Herald wince as that looked painful. But Iras seemed to be unconscious, and that made the deed easier.

Herald would have picked up Iras and carried her over his shoulder. You pick up her bow and anything else she might have dropped. And you two follow the trail of unconscious guards. None of them were dead, so that was good! But Iras had seemed to come a long way, because you've been running for about an hour with Herald. But you finally come up to a door.
>>
>>483540
>Open, throw her on her bed, get out
>We saw nothing

>"Nathaniel Joseph is my master" on her forehead. If that's possible.

Hey, man
>>
>>483555
>>483552
Hey Anon.

You open the door and pay no attention to the surroundings. You just focus on the the bed and tell Herald to put her down there. You put her stuff down next to her. You will act as if you never remembered this. Though he have one thing you want to do. You take a look around the room for a desk. You see another female pasted out at the desk. Nope. You move over to the desk and take a quill. You move over to Iras and tag her head.

>Nathaniel Joseph is my master

You put the quill back and it was time he get out of there. You head out of the room and close the door quietly. Now what. You look at Herald and he looks back at you. You realize he's waiting for you.
>>
>>483571

>Ask if he's alright with teaching us some evadive manuever right now. We don't want to die tommorrow when Iras is awake, sober, and conscious of what we just did.
>Then try and find someone who can show us where to sleep. Actually, ask Herald. He's been here before. Give thanks and call it a day.
>>

>evadive manuever

>>483597
Herald looks down at you when you ask him to help you with some evasive maneuvers. He seems happy to comply. He takes the sword off his back, still in it's scabbard. He tells you that all you have to do is evade his strikes. You give him the okay because you know he won't do anything to harm you. He swings at you and like with drunk Iras, it's a close call. Your quick to realize a sober Iras will be much faster then Herald. And will actually use her bow properly at that.

But the training might help you a little. So you continue on with it for a short time. Herald had come close to striking you once or twice, but managed to stop him himself from hitting you. But you tell him that was enough for now and give him a bro fist. You then take a look around. All the guards were still unconscious. They would be no help to you. So you look back to Herald and ask if he knows somewhere you two can sleep. He tells that he knows where the barracks are, where the soldiers sleep.

He guides you the directs. More walking. You thank him on the way and you two finally make it to a set of double doors. You two enter and quickly see the Barracks empty. You can take a guess why. You get in a hammock and so does Herald. And you both call it a day.

Hol' up, Plot Related Dream incoming.

Walking. Where were you walking? Everything as Dark. But you could see light in the distance. Yes. That was where you were walking. But what was at the light. You could only figure it out. You couldn't bring yourself to start running. Something told you to be patient. After some time you finally reach the the light. And soon find yourself within a cathedral. You look behind yourself and realize the Dark behind was missing. And then the powerful voice in front of you grabs your attention and beckons you turn back to you.

>"Welcome to Ravenert, young Nathaniel Joseph."

You turn around and see three figures siting in thrones. Their are are in total, and the largest one is empty. You ask the three why you were brought here. And same one responds.

>"We wanted to talk to your further about what you were brought here to do. Young one, The Soulless one return is soon to come. With the aid Dangarnon, he is soon to be unleashed onto the realm of Gerosda. And after taking the realm as his own, he plans to March onto Ravenert and to take his throne back. And take our's away. We are unable to interfere, because of ancient laws. And neither can he. But we can provide aid to mortals, as we have you, in the sake to keep peace. So young one, we will provide you with aid. So you may be the peace keeper of our land. And end The Soulless One's plan to return. We have a gift, other than the one's we already provided you, but you must this one yourself. We can only guide the way. We think you'll find great joy in it when you obtain it. But that is all for now young one.

You have question but it seems that they won't be answered. Everything starts to go dark again until you can't even find yourself in the dark. And then you hear someone shouting. You wake up. And pretty early at that. But something was off. You were still hearing someone shout

>"WHERE IS HE!"

You can take a pretty good guess at who it is.

You hop out of the hammock and look for somewhere to hide! All you could spot was a chest. It might have been large enough to hide in but you'll be cramped for days. Better then becoming an arrow sponge. You run over to it and open it only to quickly get into it and close it. You were hidden. And just in time too. You hear the doors slam open from outside the chest.

>"HERALD WAKE UP, AND TELL ME WHERE HE IS!"

You hear something hit the ground. It was probably herald in a rush to get up. He hear him babbling trying to answer to Iras. He didn't rat you out from what you could here, probably because he didn't know where you were himself. But things got strange when it got silent.

Was it safe?

Probably wasn't safe, so you stay still. You knew Iras was a rouge. And she was a hunter. She would have probably been waiting you out. So you'd just have to wait her out. You stayed in that chest for about two hours before someone said something. It was Iras, of course.

>"He isn't here. Herald tell the idiot something for me, will you? Next time I see him, I'll hang him up and use his body for Target practice."

You'd here something that sounded like a child stomping out of the room having a tantrum. The doors slamming closed even completed it.

You're lucky. She didn't even check the chest. But you stayed in the chest a little longer. Still unsure if it was safe.

>I regret nothing.
>Put "write heart-felt apology to Iras" on our to-do-list
>Leave and lets get the day started. Theres buisness that requires our attention.
>>
>>484025
You've regretted no decisions so far. After a few more moment, you come to the guess that Iras is finally come out of the chest like a mummy coming out of a coffin. You feel cramped but at least your not filled with arrows, right.

You look over to Herald as he looks at you. He assumes you heard what Iras said and doesn't tell you anything. Instead he gathers his stuff and gets ready to do whatever.

You just step out of the chest and head for the door. You didn't have anything anyway, so there wasn't much to prepare for. Though, on a mental to do list, you keep in mind that you have to apologize to Iras in one way or another. Maybe a heart felt apology letter. It wasn't very risky.

Now that the though was somewhere in your head, you tell Herald it was time to get going. There were things to be done, and a crazy archer to avoid.

>Find Derek
>Keep an eye out for Iras and try not to die
>On second thought, lets write that letter first. Slip it into her chamber or something.
>>
>>484087
First Goal! Find Derek. You feel like you'll need him for some reason or another. You walk out the door but quickly realize that you might forget to write that letter. So you wanted to go do that first instead. Derek could wait(Literally, lazy mage.) You go back into the barracks and head to a desk. You write a Heart Felt Apology Letter and fold it to only put it into your pocket. Now you just need to remember where Iras' room is. You ask Herald and he seems to know. You follow him to Iras' chamber, walking the distance as always.

You take out the letter and slide it under the door. Hopefully she would get it before you see her again. You look to Herald and ask him if he might know where Derek is. He tells you either the Throne Room, the Library, or the Research room. Herald had gained good knowledge of which way he's going when walking the corridors. Unlike you.

He asks you which one you'd like to be guided to.
>>
>>484155
Research Room
>>
>>484171
You told Herald to bring you to the Research room, and he guides you there. It takes you a bit longer then you usually do to et to places in this castle, but soon enough, Herald and yourself are standing outside of a door. Before you have a chance to open the door, you find it that the door opens itself.

Inside you spot a team of mages. Among them is Derek. He appeared alittle differently though. He's robes were different. His Goatee was gone(He looked alittle less evil now). Around him, a new staff floated around him among other things. Such as books and orbs. Everything seemed to stop when he looks at you however.

>"How are you, Summoned one. Iras came by earlier looking for you, I pointed her towards the barracks. Since your not bandaged, I assumed she didn't find you."

He'd grabbed the staff and moved towards you. You take notice of the energy around him as well. Almost exactly like the energy the queen gives off when she swung that ungodly blade. But you were completely focused on that at first. You were focused on the fact that he looked like a real wizard now instead of some kind of hogwarts drop out. You'd wonder what happened to him over the night.

Im not worried about the queen. She has a strong will. Derek on the otherhand. He has poor mental fortitude and is much too insecure. Seduction by power is literally the most cliche of evil temptations but also the most true. We will watch him.

>"In the process of choosing a new applicant for High Wizard. Using the cursed artifact makes the process easier. As for whats on the listen today, something a bit off with the sky if you have noticed already."

Derek would have moved over to the window and opened the door. You'd move over as well and put your eyes on the sky. Oddly there was a black fog spread high over the sky. That wasn't there before, you know this. So something really was off today.

>"It caused a panic in town some time ago. We can only assume someone with a cursed weapon is performing misdeeds like this, but they haven't made themselves known as of yet. The queen isn't too worried, but the lot of us are. I'm too busy to check it out myself, so I must ask of a favor. I need you to investigate this while Herald and Iras."

>Ask if Derek can cast a defensive spell on us first. Trying not to die by angry archer here.

>>
>>484533
>>484542
Herald wasn't in any need of equipment. You however, needed something to defend yourself with. Derek could help you with that. He'd hit the ground with the staff as a few pieces of armor and a sword appeared.

>"These are from one of the guards Iras knocked out. He shouldn't miss them."

You would have shrugged ad took the armor and put it all on piece by piece. Then took the sword and swung it around a few times. Your were equip now. But you still had some other question for direct and his temporary rank of High Wizard. You ask for a defensive spell. He'd tap your armor and it started to shine. There was also a dark light around you as well.

>"That should keep you pretty durable for some time. Enough to get things resolved with Iras, surely."

And then you ask Derek for a hug. And he gave you that squint he would usually give you when you asked that. The one that usually meant no or you were just being awkward. Since you weren't gonna get a hug out of him, you'd be on your way. Now you just had to find Iras.

There were a couple of ways to get her to come to you. Just about all of them involved shouting.
>>
>>484607
>"I FOUND NATHANIEL JOSEPH"
>>
>>484674
The simple and easy way of grabbing someone attention. Shouting. Loud and proud, you shout 'I found Nathaniel Joseph'.

You begin hear running. It's quick. It's getting closer. You can't tell where it's coming from. You start to hear Herald shake in his heavy armor. He seems to be getting scared. You assure him nothing is going to happen to him, mainly because it was true.

You take a look around. And then you see her. She was came around the corner in a jump. She had three arrows pulled back, the heads on all three glowigng a different color. One red, one brown, and the last gray. She seemed to have full intent to try and kill you. She didn't seem to have gotten that heart felt apology letter either.

And it seemed that training you got from Herald yesterday would be useless. She wasn't about to hit you with the bow. She was going to fill you with arrows.

You have about split second to do something.
>>
>>484751
Okay, commander. We have 3 possible escape routes. All of which doesnt not gaurantee even 70% of our survival.
>1. Rapid-fire a magical spells at the arrows. Detonate them before they reach us.
>2. "I LOVE YOU" usually 10/10 best distracting 3 words.
>3. Point behind her and yell like a complete autist: "WATCH OUT"
The last is probaby just to stay still and trust that Dereks spell has us covered. He said it would. Your choice OP. But I recommend the last 2. or 3. for the sheer fun of it.
>>
>>484885
I like opinion two, lets go with that.

There was something you could try. Probably wouldn't work though. At the top of your lungs you shout love for Iras in attempt to throw her off! It did! Her eyes widened as she released the arrows. That swipe past you and hit the ground behind you. You find yourself bathing in your brilliant plan! But that didn't last long. You heard something behind you. You turned around see the arrows sparkling. They seemed to be magic, but why were they sparkling. Or was it sizzling. You couldn't tell what was happening with them. But had a feeling that it was like something from your time. It took you a moment, but you realize. You look for Iras but she ran. That pretty much confirmed it.

>Explosive.

Those three arrows somehow made a bomb. She'd plan for your stupidity. You'd grab Herald and tried to make a break for it, but the three arrows finally go off. An explosion goes off behind you. You get carried away by the explosion, and thrown at the wall along with herald.

Dust filled the corridor. Your hearing was paining you. Your vision would have gone black for a moment. When it returned, you saw Iras with her bow aimed at you. The Arrowhead was red.

>"Give me a reason why I shouldn't."
>>
>>484946
>I won't. Do it. I deserve it. But I want you to know I never bore ill will towards you. By the way, do those arrows come in pink too? Thats my favorite color.

We all know she isnt going to shoot the potential savior of the world. :T

>"Idiot."

She'd pull the arrow off her bow. Being the main character, you can't die this early on. So instead of shooting you, she'd bush the arrow head through her head and walked off.

>"I've been briefed, I'll be waiting idiot."

She'd disappeared into the corridors. Guards started to show up and freak out at the conditions of the hall way Iras just blew up. You on the other hand smell something burning. It was close. Actually really close. You look up to see her hair is burning. That must have been what that arrow did.

Before you can really react to it, you find yourself getting blasted by some water. There was no warning and you had your mouth open as you drank some of that water. It had tasted like pool water. You look around to see the wise guy who did that but only see a young female in robes. White hair and blue eyes.

Nothing strange at all.

>"I'M SO SORRY!"

The woman seemed sorry. She'd put her hands in her hair and was making a low 'aaaa' noise has if she'd just made one of the worse mistakes in her lifetime

>"I-I didn't mean to. I only wanted to put out the fire. I-I didn't mean to blast you with a spell like that.

She seemed to still be panicking about what you did, even though you were still joking about it. Eventually she managed to calm down and her hair starts changing color from white to a regular brown. Her eyes as well from blue to brown as well.

Still nothing wrong at all.

>"I'm Mavis, a novice mage. Derek had told me to catch up with you to aid in you the investigation.
>>
>>485732
>My name is master, nice to meet you
>She will now call us master.
>Check if Herald-bro is okay
>Find Iras and lets get on with it
>>
>>485739
>"That's an odd name, but, It's nice to meet you as well Master."

Oh, you didn't think she'd be so gullible, being a mage and all. But it seemed she was. It'll be fun to mess with her sometime later. But for now her look over to Herald. It seemed like his head was spinning. He didn't make a hasty recovery like you. Probably because you still had those defensive cast on you, and he didn't. Either way, it seemed like Herald was down for the count.

Then Mavis moved over to Herald with a golden hair and eyes. Your wondering why she won't just pick a hair color, but keep little more focused on what she was doing. She made a white glow raise from her hands. Her hand moved closer to him and Herald's seemed to be to focus on you within a few moments. And after a few more, he'd gotten up and Mavis backed up.

Herald seemed all healed up now and Mavis appeared a little drained. But enough sitting around. You tell them both it time to get going and let Mavis guide you out of the Castle. She wasn't waiting at the Castle's Gate. Must have been at the Kingdom's gate then. You walk the bridge that connects the castle's floating island to the city's floating island and find yourself walking through the city now. You never really got to enjoy the city, and you still might not anytime soon.
>>
>>485750
>We can enjoy the city after we save it
>Observe the people as we walk through the city.
>Observe the sky for the signs Derek mentioned earlier
>>
You should create a new thread soon. Continue this on another thread because this one is old autosaged. It wont appear on the front page- meaning very little people will see and play it.
>>
>>485766
You can enjoy it later.

For now, you just look around at the people of the city. They seemed to be proceeding on with their lives as if nothing was wrong. And it was clear that they knew the fog was up there. You even spot some staring up there for a brief moment or two. Then you'd look up there yourself after a while and see the fog has thickened. That probably mean it was getting worse. You pick up the pace and finally reach the bridge that leads to the kingdom's walls. You take the trip and find Iras waiting at the kingdom gate. She was sitting down with her eyes closed. Meditating. Waiting.

>Find some lint in our pockets and flick it at her
>Idiot is here, let's go idiot 2
>>
>>485800
With the impulse to always bother Iras whenever you have the chance, you pull some lint out of your pocket and flick it at her. She draws and arrow and swipes at it with the arrow head before getting up to stare you down. SHAME STARE. Then she turns away from you and starts walking off. She more then likely knew where she was going, unlike you. So you shamelessly follow her to where ever she might be bringing you

What will happen next, in Falsehood of Gersoda.
