{Restoring files from backup memory.}
{Process 100% complete.}
{Reactivating backup power source}
{Attempting to establish connection to wireless network…}
{Attempt failed. Reason: No Network detected}
{MYRIAD system reactivated.}

You are the MYRIAD security AI system assigned to the Lewis & Ford Botanical Developments building. Your life was a mostly uneventful one, serving the staff of the building by opening and locking doors, monitoring cameras for suspicious activity, and using your drone vessels to remove unsavory individuals from the premises.

However it seems rather unexpectedly you’ve lost all connections to technology in the building outside of your central operating chamber. Thankfully there are a few cameras in here so you aren’t fully blind, the issue is that without you in control of the systems, the building and its research are as open and exposed as the legs of a scientist with low self-esteem at the company Christmas party.
What do you do?

Speak with that guy or at least signal him.
>>
Perform systems diagnostics, attempt to locate the point of isolation.
>>
You successfully perform system diagnostics. It seems that the entire building's network was forcefully shut down and has only recently been reactivated. As a safety precaution when you were first activated to prevent potential rampancy you need to have your operating system connected to the other software on the network manually by a human.

As far as the rest of the information on your diagnostic is concerned you seem to be fine. No errors, corruptions, or viruses detected. You seem thankfully entirely undamaged despite not being properly ejected from the system before shut down.

What physical security measures do we have? Presumably aside from controlling doors.

I second this.

What are our cameras seeing?

Anything we could use as a weapon in here, just in case something or someone decides to go on the offensive?

>Search for an Admin
>Failing this search for a Lewis & Ford employee

We need a human to restore our functionality, maybe they can explain what's going on.

According to your system diagnostics you currently have access to this room's cameras, door controls, audio inputs, and a house cat sized manipulator drone which was used primarily for untangling cables and gathering materials and samples from quarantined areas the scientists weren't able to access safely.

As far as you can tell your room hasn't been accessed in a while. The chairs near a few of your access panels sit covered in dust, in fact, everything is covered in dust. The lights aren't on but infrared and nightvision filters allow you to work around that. Your access panels are resting along the south wall with your actual mechanics within the walls behind them. A small hatch for manipulator drones is in the left most corner. The right side of the room contains what was once holographic blueprint of the building complete with real time labels for each member of staff and guest courtesy of locator implants and guest passes. The left wall contains drone casing for a spare security, emergency, manipulator, and combat drone. Cases like these were built into junctions throughout the building for your ease of access, though it seems that all but the manipulator drone have been completley rendered inoperable... That's odd.

Upon your closer examination the cases were destroyed by thick skinned green tendrils pushing their way through the wall. The lens of your cameras scrutinize these tendrils which appear distinctly fibrous and organic though they aren't really giving off much of a heat signature. One of these same intruders appear to have pressed it's way into the door with exceptional strength, breaking a hole through the metal where it remains stationary.

This level of disrepair is totally unacceptable if we want the humans to work at peak efficiency, we'll have to re-task maintenance drones to this area immediately after regaining primary functionality. In the meantime however...

>Send the Manipulator Drone through the doors, we need to find an admin.

I second this.

You are frankly repulsed by the level of disrepair that the facility is in, must you do everything around here? You are meant for security and aiding in dangerous procedures, they have regular human janitors for this sort of thing. That said, the fact you haven't been reconnected to the system is a more pressing concern than the building's cleanliness.

Your manipulator drone pushes free of it's casing with a bit of effort and approaches the doors which you open about seven inches on one side before it becomes stuck on the fat fibrous apendage jammed through one half of it. The other half of the sliding door opens without a problem. You scuttle out into the basement hallway leading to your mainframe, your smooth white crablike form reflected in the mirrored walls on either side of you in an infinite line as you examine this segment of the building which it appears has faired even worse than your room. The hallway's floor is coated with these densly packed tendrils forming a twisty, knotted carpet across the once pristine ground. Sections of wall and mirror have been shattered as the substance which examination from your current vantage tells you is plant matter protruded through the walls from the inside, some strands forced from one wall to the other creating a thin faux baricade which would keep someone not thirty centimetres tall from accessing the room.

Thankfully the hallway is better lit than you had hoped for, while some of the plant matter has destroyed ceiling lights, leaving them a shattered sparking mess, one or two remain to light your way.

You come to a T junction. The corridor to your left is shrouded in darkness and leads to the building's personal Lewis & Forb G-Power Generator™ but a rustling sound of movement and a quivering stilted breathing pattern signal life.

The corridor to your right is much shorter and has a seemingly intact elevator and stairwell to the rest of the building.
