Wow, it's dark in here. You don't remember how you got into this place, but it's cramped, loud, and smells like someone who hasn't used the washracks since the day they were forged. Your altmode kibble is squished into your spinal strut and your legs are curled up on top of you. You feel around, and touch walls on all sides.

Your head hurts too. Come to think of it, what's your name?
>>
>>38381
"Autobots Assemble" shall be your name.
>>
>>38381

>>
>>38390
Okay, so your name is Autobots Assemble. Your manufacturer must have had a weird sense of humor.
>>38406
The name Arcee sounds good to your ears though, and you may want to use it as a nickname. Autobots Assemble is a mouthful. You have a feeling you might be infringing on someone else's name, but screw it. You're having a hard time right now.

You need to get back on your... wheels? Wings? Paws?
What exactly do you turn into anyway?

Primus has blessed you with triple changer powers, and you quickly transform into a high-powered electron microscope. You think you look quite debonairly scientific in this form.

You fail to realize that your second alt mode, a treaded golf cart with decidedly feline details, has a much greater chance of breaking out of here. You swap forms again.

ZOOM, BITCH, GET OUT THE WAY
You race across the tiny room and with your minimal momentum, crash into the wall. It does not move.
>>38615
Doesn't look like you succeeded in breaking down that wall. You are sleepy, so you decide to take inventory of your subspace.
Scrap x15: Can be used to repair minor wounds and objects.
Energon cube x1: You can drink this to get a full tank. You're hovering at about 40% right now.
Data stick x1: Can be used on a computer that's not also a person. Unknown contents.
Hand: Someone's hand. Ew.
Blank datapad x2: Can write stuff down on these or send messages.
Xeno Babes datapad: Dirty magazine. It wasn't cheap. Why did you buy this?

You combine the Data Stick with the Hand and the Xeno Babes datapad with the Energon, producing the InfoFist and the Wet N' Messy Datapad. Good thing the datapad is liquid-proof. You absolutely did not already know that for any reason whatsoever.
>>
>>38810
phew that was luck.....I mean that was a total waste of energon, why would you do this.
>>
>>38810
apply scrap to infofist to patch up that nasty wound a bit, but leave a few wires out for future use later, and discern if you can trust him.
>>
>>38822
and incase you're concerned over our future resource usage, imagine, if we can trust it that is, a hand we can hotwire to stuff to get mad info, or control its hosts, or even just dap us up? if itll help convince you, I bet we can jack it into our Wet and Messy Edition of Xenobabes to get jacked off. You pervert.
>>

>>38822
The energon cube is now half-full, being optimistic. You estimate that you could get up to 50% of a tank from it. You check the Wet N' Messy Datapad over again for any damage. None!
>>38827
You yank a couple wires from the Infofist and subspace them. You patch the wound with Scrap 2x.
You're not sure if you can discern whether to trust this fist. You suspect whoever it was attached to is long gone. But you know for a fact that there are mechs who have special mods in their hands to hack, spy, perform surgery, whatever. You'll need some tools to get into the hand to investigate its capabilities, though.

Keeping this in mind, you hold the fist in your hand and lightly punch the wall.

In hopes of placating the hand, you toss your Wet N' Messy Xenobabes datapad into its palm and perform a TransfoRoll back into the corner. The hand sounds surprised and appreciative. Unfortunately, you failed to consider that the giant hand is attached to an equally giant arm that can easily reach you.

You are now in microscope mode inside a giant fist, and the Wet N' Messy datapad is stuck to your lens.

It's not Megatron.
It's Moverlord.

As you take in the hideous moving-truck kibble, you remember what you learned about this guy when you were with the Autobots. He's Overlord's reject little brother with an ambition to be just like his bro, but he's just... not very intimidating. Or hardcore, lucky for you.

He seems kind of sad and lonely, really. But no matter how pathetic he is, he can still smash you between his fingers if you piss him off.

How do you convince Moverlord to let you go?

Moverlord isn't buying it. He's perfectly capable of recognizing tasty energon when he sees it. He also reminds you that he was keeping you inside his chest compartment, so he already has to deal with whatever mess you made in there.

He asks where you want to be off to in such a hurry, and why shouldn't he just squish you right now. As you clear your head, you remember your navigation was pointing you to a crossroads between three cities:
Iacon
Kaon
New Chinnex
What do you answer?

You tell Moverlord about your want for homies.

Moverlord sees you considering this and suggests that he could be your homie. He says you could do a lot worse than a homie who can carry you in his palm and step on people who bother you.

You also think you could do better than a homie who is a giant lonely nerd, but whatever.

But seriously, where do you want to go, he asks. Because all these places are pretty far away and he does turn into a moving truck, you know.

Do you want Moverlord to join your party?
>>
>>46634
Sure.

Let's head to Kaon.

>>46723
Moverlord seems a little too excited about this, but you chalk it up to having someone to hang out with for once. You start on the road to Kaon.

As you roll along, you ask Moverlord what he meant by saving you for later. He explains that he was trying out some of his new badass phrases. Actually, he just picked you up from the same crossroad that you started from and stashed you in his chest compartment. He also mentions that it looked like your subspace had been plundered, and there was a trail of tire tracks leading away from your unconscious body, with a strange sign drawn on the ground next to you in energon.

This is alarming.

Inquire more?

You ask Moverlord if it looked like anything untoward happened in the general area of your crotch. He says no, but did you consider the fact that a mnemosurgeon might have crept up on you and used his finger-needles to mess with your memories? Can you remember what you were doing before you came to the crossroads where you were attacked, and where you were going?

Oh, fuck.

You tell him you think you forreal got your brain fucked and you're dead serious about turning around. He says he already told you everything he remembers about where he found you. Yeah, you say, everything you remember. Is there a TINY chance you could have missed something?

Primus, MAYBE, he says. You ask him if he would want you to turn around if he got his brain fucked.

Grumbling, he turns around.

You reach the crossroads again after several hours of uncomfortable driving, during which Moverlord points out that he IS the one carrying you, and Primus FORBID you could trust his judgment on things or value his advice. That rejection complex is really making itself known right about now.

Happy to get off his back and give him some space, you hop down and start scouring the area with your debonairly powerful lenses. After some time, you find a tiny frayed yellow wire embedded in some tire tracks.

Looks pretty familiar.
>>
>>47236
Take it and any other evidence we can find and store it away for now. We'll figure out exactly where it's from later

Moverlord is very sorry. He acknowledges that yeah, you probably would find things that he couldn't see from his height, and yeah, he would be upset too if someone maybe fucked his brain.

You gather up the yellow wire and some fragments of metal you found (they're not yours) and climb back on Moverlord.

One more thing: the tire tracks are going toward Kaon too.

You tell Moverlord s'all good and you're glad he's helping you out. He seems to be happy again.

You reach Kaon after some time driving and gossiping. Moverlord tells you that no matter why you were mindwiped, he'll still be your friend. His brother tortured a guy for three years and he hasn't disowned him yet, so everything's cool in his book.

When you drive into the city limits, a pretty frame beckons to you from an alley. Tiny waist, high heels, legs up to THERE, and that cockpit... It's been a long time since you've seen some robo babes.

Oh wait, that's not a robo babe. That's just a Seeker.

Call out to him anyway?

The Seeker says he sees a lot of people pass by here every day, and he's gonna need specifics. Also he charges 15 shanix per hour if you're interested in something other than information.

You reply you're only interested in if he saw someone with wheels come by, possibly carrying stuff that might have belonged to someone else.

He asks, how could he tell? Also he can put on lipstick if it would make you more comfortable.

Primus dammit, no. Fucking Seekers.

He says no, he doesn't recognize the wire from any of his clients. But you know what, there's a guy who knows everybody. You should go talk to him.

That'll be 3 shanix for the conversation, please.
>>
>>47670

19KB, 800x800px
>>47686
You don't have any shanix. Some fucker probably took it all when he robbed you and hacked your brain. Moverlord does have some shanix, but he wants to borrow your Wet N' Messy Limited Edition Xeno Babes for a while if he has to pay this guy. You consider driving off without paying.

The Seeker interrupts with a suggestion that if you happen to have a data stick, that would cover the payment.

That seems more than a little suspicious to you. Then again, it could be a coincidence.

Confront or scram?
>>
>>47753
You want this data stick, huh? Well maybe if I could get a quick peek at the contents, I'd consider it. If not, then I guess I'll just hold onto it

The Seeker says that if he can get you to a computer to view the contents, he'll trust that you give a fair amount of consideration to using it as payment.

Of course, that would usually be 2 more shanix for his time, but he'll be generous.

He says also, if you want to take a look at the data stick, Moverlord is gonna have to stay outside. He's not having this big galoot smashing up his apartment.

The whole time, his expression is changing to become more blank and flat. It's damn unnerving.
>>
>>47852

You follow the Seeker up some stairs into a junked-up apartment building. The room he unlocks seems like it's been unoccupied for months, with a thick coat of dust on the bed. Hmm.

He gestures to the computer and you plug the data stick in. It's still part of the InfoFist, which makes for an interesting effect. The Seeker eyes it uncomfortably, and tells you to keep the dismembered hand if you give him the data stick.

The data stick loads and the Seeker leans over your shoulder to see. You block his face with your hand and he leans around. This guy is weird.

It's a database of information files. You put in a query for your name, and it turns up nothing. You click on one just to see what's in there, and there's a list of possible criminal activity, contacts, residences, and movement patterns. This is some serious stuff.

The Seeker is shifting anxiously, tapping the desk, and makes a grab for the data stick.
>>
>>47940
Not so fast, fucker

You smack him a good one with the InfoFist as you yank it from the computer, and he crashes into the wall. A couple wires come loose and you hope it didn't damage whatever could be inside the hand.

He's up in a second and tries to tackle you, propelling himself across the room with his thruster heels, which really shouldn't be used indoors. Within minutes the floor is ablaze, with the flames spreading to the walls.

You kick free and bolt for the stairs.

After the ass-kicking is finished, you have a pile of unconscious Seeker on the ground. You decide to rev up your debonair enhancement laser and look him over in detail for anything suspicious. His subspace yields nothing but a few shanix, but at the base of his helmet are a few tiny holes.

Tiny holes that might have been left by needles on fingertips.

>>48258
You pack up the InfoFist and the shanix and head deeper into the city.

Your tank is now at 30% from the fight and you should consider refilling. And if you want, you can expend 3x scrap to fix your face. Or you can leave it as a disguise to fool whoever's hunting you down. It'll make you more memorable, but not as yourself.

The shadowy guys discuss this amongst themselves for a little while. Red-eyes knows a guy that Blue-eyes knows, but Yellow-eyes doesn't know him. Yellow-eyes suggests a guy that Red-eyes knows but Blue-eyes has never heard of. Blue-eyes remembers a guy nobody else has ever met in their lives.

This goes on for a while until they come to the conclusion that you should head immediately to a little place called Hot Wings Pawn Shop. There's a guy there that everyone knows.

You throw the shadowy guys "I'm watching you" fingers and Moverlord plays an intense beat on his speakers as you roll out.

Hot Wings Pawn Shop is pretty easy to find, due to the pair of hot wings hanging over the door. You hope this isn't actually a brothel in disguise. The name Hot Wings seems to imply something.

You enter and oh shit.

You didn't think the name Hot Wings implied that's what they sold. Or maybe you did, but not in this context.

You hope they're not actually "hot". As in, stolen. Or hot as in freshly ripped off someone's body.

The pawnbroker asks what he can do for you.
>>
>>55751

He says he knows this and that, here and there. He might know what you're after.

You show him the wire and he looks closely. He says it happens to look a whole lot like the nerve wires mnemosurgeons use to connect their finger needles to their brains. Finding a clipped wire like this means some surgeon is in a whole hell of pain.

Before you can show him the hand, he asks if you might have anything to sell him in a show of good faith and appreciation for his information. He happens to know about a recent scuffle and a fire in an abandoned apartment building, and a few laser shots that were fired soon after.

Sell him the seeker wings?
>>

You ask Moverlord to get out the "assets", and you get the InfoFist from your subspace.

You eye the pawnbroker nervously when Moverlord pulls out the corpse, but he just laughs. He says he sees a lot worse in Kaon every day. Although he does have something to show you right after he examines that nice InfoFist you've got there, if you're curious.

He tells you that what you've got here is a genuine mnemosurgeon hand, complete with finger needles. He points out the yellow wires trailing from the fist. He says that not too long ago, a mnemosurgeon came into Kaon speeding like a whole flock of dreadnoughts was on his tail and cursing to Primus below.

The name you want is Craniotomy.
>>
>>56062
We've got some PRIME info on that fist, let's see what we can learn while we're here

>>56083
The pawnbroker says a complete set of wings in great condition like these is worth a lot of his time and some shanix besides. He'd be happy to tell you what else he knows about the InfoFist.

He loads the data stick into a computer behind the desk and pulls up the files you were looking at before. Within reading a few names and contacts, he backs out of the directory and pulls up an image file.

He explains that this is the symbol of a new cult among back-alley Kaonite mnemosurgeons. This data stick is the property of someone who was very worried about their habit of drawing their symbol in energon everywhere. Probably energon from whoever they've murdered recently. This person was tracking down their members one by one, and cataloging them. A very serious operation.

That you were in possession of this data stick means that you were responsible for transporting it... somewhere. He knows all the goings-on in Kaon, but you're a little outside his jurisdiction. Who he does know is Craniotomy, as one-handed mnemosurgeons are usually both in agony and out of work. And from the sound of things, Craniotomy is the one you want.

Oh, but you should know something else before you go.

You gear up your ENHANCED laser as Moverlord swerves frenetically in the narrow streets of Kaon. The bereaved Seekers don't want to seem to come down to two-on-two you, though, and continue with the barrage of missiles. The last one blew a hole in the building you just passed, and it seems pretty unstable.

Your laser, as targeted as it is, can't keep up with fighter jets making passes at Mach 1.5.

One Seeker yells that he bets it was easy for you to take down his poor brain-hacked brother. Jackass. They're not gonna give so easily!

You try yelling back that he had his teeth in your face, but he pretends not to hear over the sound of several buildings collapsing and an energon pipeline bursting into flame.

You ramble on back to Hot Wings, where the pawnbroker tells you congratulations, this wing is worth about 70 shanix, which will buy you more than a few cubes of energon at the corner store. Also, you may like to know that you should look for that symbol he mentioned if you want to find Craniotomy.

This does seem to be the place. From the absence of doors, it looks like you want that dark staircase descending into the underground of Kaon. And you suppose if it's a club of brain hackers, they probably would want a pretentious symbol. Is it a... hand? A head with a steering wheel? You think the creator must have not really thought it through.

But a problem presents itself. These are some normal-sized stairs. Moverlord might just be able to fit if he wiggles in on his belly, but there'll be no transforming or standing up, and forget about any quick maneuvers, the whole place would come down around you. He has no problem with staying, but your homie wants to know if you can handle this guy and whoever else might be down there. True homie.

(I still see your post. Weird.)

The Amalgamated Seeker flips onto its four arms and scuttles toward you. You throw a piece of scrap into the far corner to distract it, but the voice from above just laughs, and the Amalgam keeps coming for you.

You TransfoRoll into the cover of a column and start firing. The thing moves real quick, but you graze one of the sloppy repairs on its back. Something springs free and a grating noise starts echoing, with one of the legs flopping limply along as it crawls.

Zooming in, the dead eyes and tacked-on motors tell you that these aren't real reanimated corpses, but that doesn't change the fact that whoever's holding the controls knows how to handle them.

Is there any way possible way to disarm it in a quite literal way or split it up so its pretty much useless?

You take aim carefully, and fire your ENHANCED laser. You manage to slice an arm clean off and flip backwards into your golf cart mode, peeling out between the columns as the operator tries to get the Amalgam into a steady gait again. You set up behind another column and shear one of the heads off this time. Gory.

The Amalgam kicks up its heels - one working heel, actually - and fires its thruster, arcing toward you ungracefully and in a very pointy manner. You dodge and roll, shooting off another arm as you go.

But the thing's operator isn't giving up so easily. You hear a beeping noise. Beep. Beep. Beep.
