The old OP has died. I am taking over.
Rules:

No autism

You get 6 territories and 25 points for the stats chart.

To claim a country:
-Save in .png
-Edit from the previous anon
-Don't zoom in and crop a certain part

You may only roll once per turn

When a player gets defeated, tech and land are split by this formula :

1v1s :

1/2 of tech and land

Team battles:

Number of players who attacked / Number of players who were attacked
When fighting, roll a 1d4. The higher roll cancels out the smaller on in a 1v1, but in a multi-way conflict with 3 or more players all rolls from the team are added up and compared against the opposing team.

The higher your Technology / Magic / Military bars are, the most likely you are going to be successful in defending / attacking.

1-4 bars : Roll 1d4
5-7 bars : Roll 2d4
8-10 bars : Roll 3d4

You can only roll for one combat stat per turn. All rolls are added up per turn.
When trading, roll a 1d20

Roll 1 : Your trade vessels are destroyed and the goods have been stolen.

Roll 2-4 : Trade went well, but some goods were lost in the process.

Roll 5-6 : Trade went without a hitch. Nothing lost.

When colonizing / expanding, roll a 1d6
Anything below 4 is an automatic failure. You can keep trying to roll for several turns if that's what you want.
This is my first time doing this kind of shit so please be gentle to me

Oops. You may roll once for any action you are taking this turn - so if you are attacking and trading, you may roll once for both

It's fine you got to start somewhere. 2bh though fampai, The rules you came up with are a bit cluttered and not very comprehensive.
You shouldn't use so many diffrent kind of dice for so many different charts (which aren't explained either) for example.

Seems like nothing is against naming it. I just take cues from the archives in /tg/ where naming lands helped you or the OP to signify things during events (ex: Capturing a named territorry gives you more idea about its location)

also, while were in downtime, should we all just take a roll? so the game can start with an immediate action by the QM

Here goes:
An Australian, an American and a New Zealander are enjoying some beer in Saudi Arabia even though it is against the law to drink alcohol there. They are captured by the Sheik and are sentenced to death, until his wife runs up to him and whispers something in his ear. She glances to the New Zealander, and whispers some more.
The sheik steps forward and announces: "Because it is my wife's birthday today, she has asked that I spare your lives, on the following terms. You will each get 20 lashes, but will receive one wish before you do. However, since my wife and I admire New Zealand's beautiful countryside, we will allow the New Zealander two wishes."
The Australian is up first, and asks for a pillow to be tied to his back. However, after the first few lashes, the pillow breaks. Then, the American asks for TWO pillows to be tied to his back. Again, they break after but five lashes. Finally, the New Zealander steps forward. "First," he says, "I would like to be given 40 lashes, not 20." The sheik is confused at first, and then asks "And...your second wish?" "Tie the Aussie to my back."

Nah just jump right in, but the game probably would only start in like 12 hours or anything since the OP usually start in Aussie Nightime or something. This isnt as invested like those risk thread or anything, just play along
Max level tech would get you typical steampunk level. Climate is normal, since bad weather only happened during bad rolls so far. This is pretty lite, with everything is solved with normal 1d6 dice, with 4+ is passing

If you want to hybrid all of those, settle in somewhere with a coast, try to fill Military, Culture, and Tech first. Use broken japanese to pronounce a Finnish traditional food as your Country name, and design your Scandinavian inspired flag with hanggul everywhere

I still don't think it's valid... That chart ends at 6. What if you roll a 7?

I meant that I'd be sending mercenaries over to you! (After all, I've got the better Military and Tech.)

Yes to both infact. This pact will benefit us both. But for now, sleep. Negotiations shall start tomorrow

Ah... I think OP has the answers to that.
Thank you for offering us the mercenaries, as soon as we start trading we'll intergrate them into our society!

Sure, why not. Here's one:

But lets take it slow now, lets teach them the art of Court Decision based on Cockfighting and Making Piggybanks!

I AM BACK

Mupdate in around 30 mins, then I'm off. I have a shit ton of things to do today.

note : Thursdays are always very tiring for me. So don't expect much on Thursdays.
>>
>>65356
I'll go to sleep after the next mupdate; it's 12 am here. I'll wait patiently until then!
>>
>>65372
Ironically, I'm waking back up as you're going to sleep.

Maybe it's like the cycle of seasons in this world: my summer is your winter and vice-versa.

>>65356
OP, I have a few questions.

>How many actions may you take in a turn?
>Is Trading really supposed to be 1d20, or was that a typo?
>What's the point in having any stat other than Military? (Since as far as I'm aware, it doesn't stack with Technology or Magic.)
>>
>>65388
I might go to sleep now, actually. Thank you guys for playing, and I'll see you tomorrow!

The new shirt design is revealed - it's the flag of Fyglo Busi etched into every piece of clothing. The colours of patriotism can be seen in every article of clothing.

The other nations treat it with indifference. It is pretty comfortable to wear though.

"GIBMEDATS" the disenfranchised African-American yells before snatching a piggy bank from an overweight white guy with a MLP fedora for a hat. In the distance, the African-American can be seen throwing money at the fighting chickens, unaware that the speeds he is throwing the coins would kill the chickens. Needless to say, both chickens received a heroes' funeral and have their ashes scattered at sea.

>>65388
Let me be honest - I have no idea what to do with the stats of Religion, Culture, Resources and Magic. This is my first game and I actually took over stats sheets and the map from the previous thread, in which the OP disappeared and everyone was just blindly rolling and RPing with themselves.

I'm thinking of making a more updated one with reasons to invest in a stat that's not combat, but I don't have the time so I'm going with the flow.
>>
>>65401
>Your trade route is safe, aside from the rare gang of pirates.
Really? I figured the Kaiju and Sea Wyrms would be a bigger threat.

>>65412
>Oops. Reports that the silver country is Illus.
Oh, I thought he was talking about my country, which is why I posted that greeting. Maybe we can assume the scouts found my country instead of that one?

Also, I'd still like to know many actions can I take in a round. (Fairly important for me to know, since I apparently live on the opposite side of the world from you. I'd at least like to be able to queue up actions for turns I while I'm asleep.)
>>
>>65427
You may queue as many as you like, but I recommend 2-3 actions since this moves at a slow rate with a few mupdates per day.
>>

Well, I want to expand this time, maybe to the NorthEast? I heard there's a dormant country there, maybe I can reach out into it

Also, Belajarso is demoted and now his position of Minister of Welfare is exchanged by Bacanjing
>>

Why cant I do anything but to expand?

Bacanjing thought this might be related to our devoted devotion to God of Destruction and Food, [ Warteg ]

We must continue to expand our industry and unite the country with this fast transportation system. Onwards with the railroad!
>>

>>65431
2-3 Actions queued or 2-3 actions per round?

If this updates slowly, it would make sense to do multiple actions a round, so long as they don't conflict with each other.

For instance, say each round every player gets:
>1 Military Action (Expansion of territory OR Attacking an enemy OR Raiding commerce OR Defending an ally)
>1 Diplomatic Action (Establishing trade OR Performing recon/espionage OR Attempting to exert cultural/religious influence over another civ)
>1 Special Action (Building Projects OR Advancing the civ OR Anything else unlisted)

Anyways, I'm just going to continue trying to expand to the west. Hopefully the fertile land will let my population grow.
>>
Rolled 6 (1d6)

>>66610
>6
Nice! How much of that land do I get? It looks like there are at least two regions there, possibly three... The largest of which is the size of four of my other regions combined. Expansion will be really slow if I have to take them one-by-one.

I guess I'll also start construction on a fleet of longships. (queuing this action if necessary) The flagship shall be named "Saukko" in honor of the vessel which made contact, and constructed of the finest materials gained from trade: Teak planking with iron reinforcements, brass cannons on the flanks, with the hide roof supplemented with copper sheets.
>>
Rolled 1 (1d6)

>>66329
I think also working on a fleet of commercial ships and a small military escort for trade purposes is good.

All the sixes (and one nine!) have me worried... I'm tempting fate, but...

I'm sending a few vessels southeast across the Siberian Ocean, to hopefully reach the Baikal Islands. (The unclaimed ones in the middle.) I'm not necessarily going to colonize it right now (though I wouldn't mind having it), but I want to at least establish a navigational plot that can safely lead me back there in the future.
