A and a split between C and F, so let's say half of each.

We've increased the total number of full-time soldiers in our army to 1000 humans, their weapons are all made of iron and soon all of their armor will be as well.
We've trained to better integrate support from cavalry, goblin skirmishers and demon fighters and mages. Our main battle unit is an evolved phalanx that uses longer pikes, allowing us to control the battlefield. All soldiers have sidearms in case of close-quarters encounters - swords, axes or blunt weapons.

Having sent a portion of our troops to help the Kulargi, the rest of our troops are defending the shores between Inkport and Shekelsburg.
We've had little time to raise our militias, as our forces have encountered a disembarked army on the shores of Shekelsburg!
We've got 600 hoplites, 600 militiamen, 200 demons.

We face 800 norsemen raiders - armed with bronze and iron weapons and armor, they widely use shields. Among them we spot a couple of shamans - so they have access to mana sources?

Our archers, skirmishers and mages stand at the ready - the norsemen are charging forward, confident in their melee skills!

Our forcess are in retreat, the battle is lost.

The norsemen lost 180 men, while we lost 150 hoplites, 400 militiamen and 30 demons.
Many of our militiamen were caught as prisoners, rather than killed. The rest of our forces are now falling back to Inksport to rendezvous with reinforcements and heal our wounds.

Demonfriends, what are we doing next turn? Since we've hit a wall with golem shit for now I think we should roll an H to improve something pre-existing. Maybe research on basic magical theory, or improving infrastructure or general iron working practice. Magic is definitely the way to go, but we need either more research for golems to work, or for the nation to vote for golem/magic research.

Now, what is a soul? Well, a soul is a conscience. Plants lack souls, animals have weak souls, intelligent beings have medium-level souls, magical beings have stronger souls. Magical affinity is one of the attributes to a soul.
Manipulating a soul is an extremely difficult thing to do, perhaps something only a God can do. (Think of it as something similar to creating a true AI IRL, except at this in-game year we're still making analog computers).

A being's physical existence is bound to a plane of existence, but its magical existence - its soul - can traverse the barriers of planes.
The death of a body leaves the soul in the hands of the Gods, to be judged and sent either to Heaven or Hell - that is what priests teach.
The souls of demons have passed through the barriers of planes against the will of the Gods and are bound to their physical bodies - the death of a demon's body results in the dissapearance of its soul, permamently - it is neither sent to Heaven, nor Hell. Some priests call this "Limbo",

With a surprise attack, our archers's aim is true and we cause great casualties among the raiders.
They number at least 100, we believe, but they have no way of knowing our numbers - they must have thought there's a lot more of us, as they routed soon afterwards, after a group of armed villagers rallied and started fighting back as well.

Our hunters were able to save the village from total destruction! The raiders have retreated and we're helping put out fires now.

The shocking thing we discover, however, is that these raiders were not horse riders - they were horsemen, centaurs!

The villagers identify themselves as belonging to the Malkosi tribe that live between the mountains from which Shortfork flows and the open plains. The Malkosi are humans, not too different from us in racial features and at a technological level around the Kulargi(iron and bronze). Their total population is around 13 000 humans and they are at constant war against the centaurs in the east and the ogres in the west.
The village we saves is called Izkoz.
The centuars and ogres raid outlying villages such as this for slaves and plunder.

The tribe is ruled by a High Chieftain from the town of Malkog, not too far from Izkoz.

I send my Uncle Wolf secure trade,marriages with the chief. He serve as a advisor to my late father and in his old age is happy to travel to new places and get new friends. He brings with him my personal body guard highly trained men for different factions I'm allies with most of them from my own clan.

Being a powerful clan we make fine friends for other people. We be happy to take some men and tranfer then back to clan lands and would be happy to try to secure a long lasting alliance or even citizenship for the people of Malkog against protection from the centaurs.

Malkog is comparable in size to Firsthold and lies at the shores of a lake. The Malkosi lands are more densely populated relative to us, the largest limit being the nonhuman enemies they've been facing for the last century.
The Malkosi still hold to their faith in the Old Gods, their shamans use blood potions to fuel their spells, which has allowed them to keep up with the shamans that the centaurs and ogres field as well.
The High Chieftain is a man in his prime by the name of Turgax, strong and experienced in war. The Malkosi field chariots, archers, infantry and shamans, in some clans even the women are taught to fight.

If you want to pursue some goal of your own, state it and make a dice roll.

Wolf was unable to finish his sentence as an arrow came out of nowhere and knocked him off his horse.
As he lay wounded, but still breathing, he could hear it - the warcries of thousands of centaurs rolling across the plains.

Asura attempts to answer Jumilar's charge with his own. He pitches head forward, as though to slide on his face at Jumilar's feet, but the water he carries with him flows under him and supports him, like a water slide, while keeping him bare inches from the ground and sliding past Jumilar. The water also is intended to slam into Jumilar's feet, and rip the grass from under him into slippery mud, hopefully tripping Jumilar and using his momentum against him, while narrowly dodging the axe.

But if the axe did connect on his flesh, the afore-prepared storm ward lightning threads would trigger.

Asura looked down to see that the close pass of that maneuver had resulted in his blade coming lose from his belt and slamming into Jumilar as he passed. Well, that was good fortune.

It was less good fortune that Jumilar still stood. Asura's plan had been to crest on a wave of water, shape it into a serpents tail, empower it with the lightning threads, and slam it into the fallen Jumilar before he could rise. Standard battle tactic being to impair the target's mobility before charging up a finishing blow.

But, well. The impairing strike hadn't worked. Seeing Jumilar charge, Asura raised up a surf of water between then to momentarily blind Jumilar, then blast it with all the lightning threads he had prepared as Jumilar crashed through, figuring Jumilar was in a range and would recklessly attack head on.

Which considering the raw power of a berserk charging centaur, had a very good chance of working.

Lutigorex Chief of the Luerno Clan
DOB: 109 (Aged 31)
Base: Gobopolis

The Luerno clan fractured from a large family of miners in the 90's and began to settle the farmlands south of Gobopolis. Originally only a handful who seeked to outlive the horrors of the mines the region has grown into a sprawling breadbasket of farmettes and orchards as well as the various vineyards which have been producing a red wine solely palatable to Goblin nobility and most likely containing dangerous amounts of methanol.

Lutigorex became head of the Luerno Clan after the slaughter against the Centaurs killed all the other heirs and the chief, Lutigorex great grandfather. A paragon of Goblin nobility, Lutigorex was the obvious choice to elect as the leader of the federation of Goblin clans by Gobopolis known as the Gobanitio Federation. It helped that he was among a small handful of survivors old enough to lead and managed to bring home five slain centaurs, unfortunately he was only able to bring the horse half as trophies home for some reason.

The head of the Gobanitio Federation is elected from the chiefs of the Gobanitio and thus, it is unlikely Lutigorex's several young sons would assume power, though the Luerno clan would still retain it's large holdings. The likeliest candidates is Lutigorex brother-in-arms and chief of the Luedi clan, Huliorh, another lucky survivor.

As for the clan itself, it's a good idea. Since goblins are known for mining but this will also allow you to feed yourself and be allow to grow. But what do you want to do after that? Be traders? Be focus on the army, or navy?
I all I say a 11/10 faction idea different but not crazy, has room to improve (with our help) you can get into banking maybe. Also if you need help their the Erden Clan a human clan for farming, while I can handle the room to grow and extand. We have three mines in our alliance that will be useful to get goblins in.

The only problem I see is that goblins are not the best at farming but once you have the tools, and the animals to do so. You'll be on par with humans. If you need help or questions just ask, I could of know that stuff since I was one of the first factions.

The benefits of a an autonomous state are quite simple first off is a simple question of morale, you have demons who damn themselves to hell for power who are allowed to rule themselves while goblins who have been nothing but loyal to the kingdom apparently not deserving of the same luxuries. The question now is what to do with the other goblin factions, are they ever coming back? Also who gets to lead this Goblin autonomous state? Maybe the goblin faction that is present.

So to sum it all up I agree to the autonomous state of the goblins. Their are so things to work out but it looks good on paper. Maybe you guys can find more iron to be use by the whole kingdom so we don't run out every time we go and fight. :^)

About the gobs
Gobopolis is a fortified town centered around a gold mine, population of 3500 or so. Foreman Swift Hands owns the gold mine, but other goblin factions can consider the town itself as their center of operations, while their income sources lie elsewhere - the farmer aristocrats have a mansion in Gobopolis but their source of income are the farms. The Goblin Tinker Union(hope he comes back soon) owns the salt mines and some merchants I think.
Assets should include holdings you have, income sources and stuff like heroes and leaders.
