Welcome to Fallout Trader.

You are a Trader from The Town of Kindport that's been left with a hefty loan of 5000caps to an NCR rancher named Richard Clamit after the death of your father. With no way to take your dust field of a farm and turn it into caps, you decided to salvage a ship and make your way as a Merchant Trader along the waters of The Wastes.

Last time you left your home and sailed all along The West Coast, meeting people all the way from The NCR to midway down Mexico. You made friends with a gang of sea raiders named The Vikings, repaired a stealthboy factory for an army of Nightkin, and made a girlfriend somewhere along a trade port in Mexico.

Now after declaring The Nightkin Factory as the first trade colony in your Merchant Empire, you've walked on land to the fabled Sunken City in mainland Mexico.

You had just confronted a group of wild stim junkies in a pharmacy while looking for building supplies to help your colony with. You're attempting diplomacy, but you and the many friends you've made along the way wait in hiding to spring into action in case things go haywire.

Good luck, Captain, and may good deals find you wherever you may float.
>>
Posting the plan again

>Tell him that if he helps us clear the town and get rid of the other ferals we'll give him access to our stimpacks stores

Don't tell him that were going to kill them all when the towns clear

You decided to take a more direct approach when dealing with this Feral Chief.
You announce that you have the fighting power to make him king of The Sunken City, mighty claims for a simple merchant to be making, but they're claims that appeal to him. All your time telling people what they want to hear seems to pay off rather greatly as he's stopped accusing you of trying to rip him off, and instead has a face of interest.

It's not a trusting interest by any means, but it's a step in the right direction by all means. As you calm him, the other feral men that have started flooding out from the pharmacy are in a short fit of awe over what you're saying. They seem all too easy to fascinate compared to their skeptical leader.

The Chief redoubles his questioning, the stim holes on his arms bulging as he shakes that ambitious fever to ask you why you would have any interest in his tribe beating out all the others. There have been few outsiders wandering into The Sunken City, and so far they've all come to kill from on top of their four legged animals, or from their boats. What makes you any more trustworthy.

Time to stretch those dealing muscles, Captain:
>Want to turn tribes into vassals
>Want to become trade partners
>Shoot Him
>Run
>Write in
>>
>>370842
Let's see if we can save the genocide plan for later, if they DON'T get absorbed into our business and naturalized, ok?
>>
>>370852
Taking junkies into a drug smuggling business is a shit idea
>>
>>370850
>Want to become "trade partners".
The ones that remain tribals will eventually be wiped out by the younger generations, who will naturally be indebted to us.
>>
>>370850
>Write in
>We want to put you in charge of the whole city so that we don't have to worry about some junkies trying to raid our factory, in exchange we'll sell you stims at a very fair price
Kill them all when we finish with the other tribes
>>
>>370858
Are ALL of them junkies, though? We only met one tribe. There might be a group out there who is more malleable to our needs...
>>
>>370850
>Want to become trade partners
>>
>>370870
But the thing is we don't need those tribes, we already working with The Vikings and we have plenty of Nightkin. I would rather eliminate a potential threat then give it a chance to steal from me
>>
>>370873
Could we at least get an idea of what other tribes live here first before we help these bozos? I'd like the option of knowing what other factions are here before wiping them all out.
>>
>>370850
You decide to offer being trade partners.
The Sunken City is a cornucopia of salvage after all, if you had this group trading with you then surely you'd not have to worry about infighting with other tribes ruining your deals.

As you explain that you can both grow rich together, he lances back to his tribe. The Warriors sport similar sunken holes along their arms that The Chief does, though instead of stim needle headdresses, they hang their empty syringes all about their bodies like clacking baubles. The Chief stands from his crouching position, towering over you once more as he crosses his arms.

He tells you that he wants to know how you intend to do that. You seem like you're but one man, and there are many tribes in The Sunken City that he must fight if his tribe were to truly domineer over it all.

Make some promises, Captain?:
>Show him your Crew
>Promise him Guns
>Shoot Him
>Run
>Write in
>>
>>370904
>>Promise him Guns
Don't play our full hand just yet
>>
>>370904
>Promise him Guns

Leave the Nightkin out of it for now.
>>
>>370869
Seconding
>>
>>370904
>Promise him Guns
>>
>>370904
You point out that you're an outsider, and that you can go get things from outside The Sunken City.
As it's rather apparent that these individuals carry only brute and primitive weapons, you offer them guns.

There's a sudden outcry from a few of the warriors at the mention of firearms, one that The Chief is quick to silence through growing rough with the protestors. One had come up to get in the face of The Chief but he was swiftly hammered back as the mighty frame of flesh that was the leader slammed down a fist upon his shoulder hard enough to send the warrior reeling to the floor. Quiet befell the tribals, save for The Chief that looked back to you, nodding all the while.

He tells you that he will gladly invade other tribes if he had the guns to do it with. Warriors start shuffling their way back into the pharmacy with their ever present anger, meanwhile The Chief had drawn a stim from his headdress to prick his palm and leak a slow line of blood crossed his palm.

He offers you his hand to seal the deal with a blooded handshake.

What now, Captain?:
>Shake his hand
>Cut your own hand and shake
>Ask about why the warriors are angry
>Shoot him
>Run
>Write in
>>
>>370904
>Promise him Guns
>>
>>370974
>Cut your own hand and shake

And then treat it immeadiately, I am not sure if stimpacks help with disease, if they do this guy might actually be super healthy despite the track marks, after the handshake

>Ask about why the warriors are angry
>>
>>370974
>Cut your own hand and shake
When in South American Tribal Rome, as they say...
>>
>>370974
>>Cut your own hand and shake
Do it only if he has no diseases
>>
>>370974
>Cut your own hand and shake
>Ask about why the warriors are angry
>>
Now that we know they all have similar marks on their arms I want to bring up my previous idea from earlier, that if they fuck around or try to jack our shit, we can get chem bro from our crew to poison their stim packs
>>
>>370974
You decide it's best to not go against tribal traditions in this case.
You draw your hand against the tip of your machete enough to nick it and make a firm shake with The Chief.

With your deal sealed, you question him a moment longer about why there was such a fuss with the guns earlier. As he turns to head back to his tribe's home he announces that it's simply the old refusing to give a better living to The Tribe. You press the matter, and he tells you that long ago, the men of The Sunken City deemed it a sin for man to use firearms against other men, and because of it The Tribes have lost the art of gunpowder warfare in favor of hand crafted weapons another means of brutalizing each other. The Chief doesn't talk highly about those tribal leaders that existed all that time ago, calling them weal fools that were too scared of the more vicious taking what they could. He claims that's an era that needs to end itself if The Sunken City is to ever stay in the hands of The Hordes.

And if that means that it shall be in the hands of The Red Cross Clan and no other, then so be it.

With that, he begins to make his leave back into The Pharmacy, surely to prepare for the warring times ahead.

What now, Captain?:
>Go get The Building Supplies and leave
>Go get The Building Supplies and keep exploring
>Tell him the deal is off
>Shoot him
>Leave
>Write in
>>
Also

>ask why warriors are angry as well.

>>
>go get the building supplies and keep exploring.

I want to check out that other spot Cardejo pointed out after the pharmacy
>>
>>371052
>Go get The Building Supplies and keep exploring
>>
If we see another tribe we should put them against the Red Cross tribe. Making trade deals with junkies is going to be a terrible terrible idea
>>
>>371134
Were not actually going through with it anon when they kill the other tribes we kill them, and if they try to double cross us we activate the bombs we put in the rifles
>>
>>371134
We are so close to aculpulco according to the map. We can annex this and run a Brahmin route delivering drugs to the Vikings.

These ferals feel like a trap
>>
>>371052
You leave The Pharmacy, your crew coming out of hiding behind you to follow on down the road as you find your way into the tool store not long after. It's certainly a lot safer in here now that there's no worry of Red Cross Tribals jumping you.

The tool store itself isn't too expansive, but you do find a multitude of tools and building necessities that The Nightkin are content to carry, as they seem like they're holding nothing to them. You stand out in the front of the store as your crew scavenges around.

You see an odd sight in the distance, that of one tall office building that has since been tipped so that its upper half lays near horizontally to the road below it, supported by another, much smaller building. Vines hang low from the overgrown building, and upon them hangs fruit the likes of which you're not entirely sure of what they may be from this distance.

The true oddity is that there's a large gape in the building's wall, and what looks to be a ladder has been lowered down all the way to the street. A man, a white man, holds onto the ladder as it's pulled up into the fallen building, and below him to the street below remained a pair of brahmen and a woman tending to them.

Burke peeks from the tool store behind you, carrying with him a toolbox as he follows your eyes to the sight. He claims that looks like another caravan.

What now, Captain?:
>Confront The Caravan
>Wait for the man to come back out
>Keep Exploring
>Go back to Antler
>Write in
>>
>>371134
We could try rigging the ammo to explode in the guns, killing off or maiming most of the Warriors who decide to use them.
>>
>>371152
> confront and size them up.

Could be free Brahmin we need to start a land route
>>
>>371158
If we offer to do matinence on their guns before every battle then we can easoly screw them before the final one
>>
>>371152
>Wait for the man to come back out
>Approach him peacefully for a talk
>>
>>371152
Confront
>>
>>371152
>wait for the man
>approach and intimidate them to acquire our first Brahmin

Knight needs the Brahmin anyway
>>
>>371164
You don't need to do maintenance on their guns. Just salt the ammo that you give them when you want them dead.
>>
>>371164
Again, I'd rather see who else is here before killing off the entire city.
>>
>>371181
I feel you dude, my only gripe is we have been very lucky making friends, and this is the wasteland so we are bound to have a bad enxounter sooner or later
>>
>>371152
Confront them also seduce woman maybe she has a dick
>>
>>371152
>Confront The Caravan with just two of our crew. Have the rest establishing another killzone to catch them in a crossfire
>>
>>371200
also can we roll for the guy in the robes girth?
>>
>>371208
Rolling for Dick Size is only for crewmen and waifus.
>>
>>371216
Were getting women waifus too anon, we have to continue the bloodline
>>
>>371227
This.

The bang boat can't just be traps as well.
>>
>>371216
Fair enough maybe we could convince the man in the robes to put on drag then we can make him a waifu
>>
>>371152
You decide to bring Burke along and go check it out yourself while the rest of the crew are watching from not too far away.
As you're walking on, The Woman spots the two of you and tips her head up to the building to call out to the people above. She seems panicked, hurriedly grabbing for the ladder as it's rolled back out from the leaning building below.

You stand a short enough distance away that if you broke for it now, you might be able to catch a hold of something before she's properly hoisted up like the man before her was.

The Brahmen are spooked from her reaction and hurriedly start to run away from the ladder, though they're mighty dumb animals and only end out running along the sides of buildings and stopping at every car they come close to.

What do you do, Captain?:
>Run for it, try to grab The Girl
>Run for it, try to grab The ladder
>Wait for her to go and take The Brahmen
>Leave them alone
>Write in
>>
>>371230
Which guy in robes, Saint Lucas?
>>
>>371233
>have Burke get a hold of the Brahmen
>Call out to the woman
>>
>>371233
take brahmen put a wig on it The bang it in the hot tub
>>
>>371238
oh fuck sorry when I read the white man I instantly assumed robes sorry nevermind then my bad
>>
>>371233

>>371239 going to agree here.
My intention would be to appear helpful and call out to her that we want to trade and nothing more. If they seem normal and not junkies, maybe they will join our crew to establish a land route with guards.
>>
>>371258
And if they are degenerates/junkies/etc we can decide from there.
>>
>>371233
We don't need to befriend everyone we come across.

We have enough people right now to sufficiently defend or attack anyone for the most part.

My vote is
>wait for her to go and take the Brahmen
>>
>>371233
>>371239
Seconded.

>>371227
>>371230
Oh, I'm not saying we should only bang femboys exclusively, I'm just saying we should only compare if they join the crew, or if we bone them first.
>>
>>371297
Yeah I'm all for bloodshed since we have a good amount of power atm. What I'm curious to find out now since they likely a caravan they could mark some map spots or give us some info, and, potentially be useful in creating routes.
>>
>>371297
Establishing trade lines are important. We don't have to be friends, we just need them to be interested in buying our shit.
>>
>>371310
nah lad qt.13 traps 4 life and then we can occasionally have one woman around for child slaves
>>
>>371315
Exactly. And we're closer to aculpulco from this city which would make a Brahman drug caravan lucrative.
>>
>>371239
I vote for this
>>
>>371317
It becomes less special when their all traps anon we can probably have a maximum of two traps if we want to have it stay special
>>
>>371233
You tell Burke to wrangle up The Brahmen, and he does so quite easily. He's fairly adept at keeping the rad animals well collected.
You see the girl being reeled up into the building above and call out to her to come down and that you want to talk about trade. As you do this, silence is all that's returned, and it seems as if you're not getting a response before you can see something starting to peek out one of the many holes decorating The Building's side. You manage to leap out of the way as it becomes apparent that they're throwing something down, and with a sudden crash you see that they tried to roll out a now wrecked copy machine on top of you.

Burke sees the tall tell signs of disaster incoming and starts pulling The Brahmen back towards The Tool Store as terminals and chairs start dropping from The Building all the same. Smashing and crashing is heard all around you as you have to pull yourself out of the way to avoid more high falling terrors. Some of the men above even toss their plexiglass tipped spears down at you, snapping them against the pavement as they try to skewer you on the primitive weapons.

You drop behind a car in The Tool Store parking lot, your crew scattered around in the store and in the lot with you as it seems the rain of smashing silences itself after a few moments.

Retaliate, Captain?:
>Shoot at The Building
>Take The Brahmen and leave
>Set up camp in The Tool Store
>Take The Brahmen and go to Antler
>Write in
>>
>>371331
Good point
>>
>>371332
Gun these degenerates down
>>
>>371332
>Take The Brahmen and leave
Drop off the suplies to build some shit then come back with guns and ammo
>>
>>371332
>>Take The Brahmen and leave
Next group.
>>
>take the Brahman and leave.

They will get what's coming to them. Let's load up some supplies and regroup.

They cal be put in a boat and take up 10 capacity.
>>
We never named our guy anons, how about Mr.Scorpio
>>
>>371358
Why bother? More mouths to feed, and there's a risk of having a tribal vendetta, especially if we already jacked their brahmen.
>>
>>371370
I meant once we destroyed her tribe anon, we can sell her as a slave or keep her for ourselves
>>

You decide that you'll be taking these Brahmen, and those building hangers can rot for all you care.
It's starting to get late now, the darkness casting overhead signalling that soon all will be pitch. Kegger says that the crew should set up somewhere for camp or start heading back soon.

You hear something calling in the distance, something that is close to a howl, but it's much more dastardly than that. It was full of intent, and now that the sunset hung in the sky, the light became ever more intense as you could see in the distance, a rising plume of smoke from around near The City's center.

The call soon became calls as the rhythmic howls of voices started to ring into the air, piercing the sky with tones that fell haunting upon your ears. Through it all, the plumes only grew wider, and by the time it seemed as if smoke was so abundant you could taste it, a hardened scream strikes the air.

It puts your whole crew on edge as the world falls into silence, each of your group looking to each other in confusion before suddenly another rips into the ambient sounds of the sinking city. The screeches call in patterns, pained sounds that shake some, and concern others.

It's getting late, Captain:

You decide to not stay around and listen to that all night.
You and your crew quietly head your way out of The Sunken City, only the jingling sound of tools clapping against your brahmen filling the air as you make your walk home.

As you start to see the whiteness of The Antler Symbols of your factory, you grow more content at the fact that you're out of the tribal lands, and have made it back to civilization, or at least civilization enough.

When you get back, not much has changed, Knight hasn't made any drugs because he lacked any brahmen to do so, and the Nightkin are pretty directionless without some form of leader around. Maybe if you established a crewman as Antler's Colony Master they'd start orchestrating projects on their own.

Many of your men collapse into sleep once they hit The Factory, as you've been walking all day.

After collecting all your cargo together you find that you have the following:

Fleet Cargo:
>40 Drugs
>10 Food
Max Cargo Capacity: 100

Antler Cargo:
>30 Stimpacks
>10 Guns
>10 Bullets
>40 Strange Meat
>20 Tools

/Quest/ causes OPs to lose their souls after they make a good quest. They don't come back since with each minute their gone they feel less worthy to return.
