The Gorvenor General was in his quarters on the Emperor class Battleship Nemesis, reviewing the plan for the campaign, their first target will be a lightly defended moon on the only gas giant of the sept, the sattelite would make a perfect forward base for the crusade.

But there are still some hours before the invasion begins, how do you intend to spend them?

In your speech that was being filmed for all the fleet to see and hear, you've stated how the Emperor was watching over each and everyone of them, how they were the most corageous men and women in the entire segmentum, you spoke how the armour divisions and super heavies would smash the Tau forces under their threads, how the fleet bombardment would leave their cities in blazing ruins, and how the infantry would plant the Standards of Kaurava on the enemy soil.
You said you knew all these would happen because you knew the men and women of Kaurava were finest soldiers this side of the galaxy had ever seen.
And with that the fleet started the bombardment of Tau positions on the moon.
A cheer spread through all ships of the fleet a cheer that seemed to choke out even the stars.

And with that the soldiers started boarding the transports to make planetfall

You make your way to the Nemesis bridge, you ask a cadet named Marcus to grab you a recaff, while you talk to fleet admiral Heniah.
She was the only admiral to answer your call for a crusade, her fleet made of 1 battleship the (Nemesis), 2 battlecruisers, 4 cruisers, 5 light cruisers and 10 escorts, tailoring the crusading fleet is a small entorage of rogue traders, seeking to make a fortune out of the xeno tech, the tau wil leave behind.
The crusade obejctive was not only reclaim the Nero's worlds but also to clean your name and of your men from the Kaurava Conflict, although your cause was just you still ordered your men to figt against the Sisters of Battle and the Blood Ravens even though the later had proven to be corrupted by the taint of chaos the inquisition eye still hovered above you and your men.
Reconquering these worlds would be the best way to end all doubts of treachery the inquisition still has.

Fleet Admiral Heniah also had her personal motives to join the crusade, her family were noblemen of the capital world of the Nero's system, the world of Agustine the closest to the Nero Star. A civlised world whose population is about five hundred million, after the Tau invaded her family used their resources to spark a revolt to expel the xenos invaders, but the Tau technology and their Kroot allies proved too much for the resistance to overcome and their leaders were forced to exiled.
Heniah grew up hearing about Augustine and their family exploits and she intends to take her heritage back even if by associating with the Governor General makes her supicious to the most pious servants of the Emperor.

The Valkyries are ready to transport men, most of them are fresh recruits that came straight out of the academies their C.O's are are veterans from the Kaurava Conflict most of them had their own experience fighting the Tau, they know how they use superior range and firing lines to destroy their oppositon from afar, they saw the Kroot carnivores and their mutations tearing their former comrades limbs and eating their entrainls.
They know what it's to come and they are ready.
Now the question remain, will you take part on the action on the ground or will stay on the ship and command from above?

Achieving Victory on kaurava wasn't easy in order defeat his enemies Stubbs underwent cybernetic modification including the replacing of one of his eyes for one capable of detecting , even the most advanced technology infiltration.
His cybernetics also granted him greater durability and strength enough to be able to hold a space marine and toss him 16 feet.
This "upgrades can certainly give him the edge he needs if he chooses to go on the field of battle!

But staying at the ship also has it's perks.
You will beable to access the battle and better command your troops on the ground.
Even though they might sufer a slightly moral hit due to your Abscence the Kaurava Guardmen are well trained and well equipped and this battle for the Moon will be a quick one, the flwwt salvos has silenced most o the defenses on the moon.
The enemy consist at mostly of firewarriors, pathfinders and only about 40 xv8 battlesuits, nothing that your men and armour can't handle.
You could clearly seat this one out.

The moon orbiting the gas giant Petrus had the designation STX-17, it was the largest sattelite orbiting the planet and the only one capable of mantaining human life without terraforming. It consists of a single landmass surrounded by ocean, it was once a resort for the rich families of the Nero system to spend their leasure time, but since the Tau conquest it's importance changed.
The moon was to became a fortress a, but because of the revolt fomented by the exiled nobles the conquerors were forced to delay that plan plus the tyranid and the second damocles crusade made plans of the militarization of the moon put on hold even further until months ago.
The earth cast engineers worked hard in order to fullfill the project but were only able to reach 10% of the project before the crusade reached the Nero's System.
This delay would prove disastrous to the Mal'ki'or sept.
