GOTTKAISERIN
October the 3rd, 3rd Year of Anno Domina. The 16th birthday of Madoka Kaname. Aachen Cathedral.
Seated on the humble yet grand Throne of Charlemagne, Madoka Kaname releases a nervous breath as she surveys the entourage that line the red carpet before her.
Gathered before her, were the Ten Viceroys of Earth, the Viceroys of North America, Europe, Japan, Oceania, Russia, South America, the Middle East, Africa, India, China and the Imperial Administrator of Gliese 832c.
It was not her choice to be coronated. It was the work of an ancient conspiracy that demanded that she become the symbol of the most violent and zealous political cause in the history of humanity, a cause that waged total and complete war against those they deemed the enemies of humanity.
It was under this cause that, although she did not know it, 4 billions human beings were culled. She did know however, that under this cause, the barely stone-age planet of Gliese 832c had been conquered, the Puella Magi of the world were rounded up, chipped and pressed into state service and that a war had been declared on an alien species, the Incubators.
The Incubators are a species of xenos that took souls from little girls from the formation of the Puella Magi contract, but most importantly, according to the conspiracy, undermined the development and empowerment of humanity. This formed the reasons for their casus belli: "The Incubators have wronged humanity and thus it has become our mission to free humanity and the universe from their misdeeds, through all means possible."
They were the Illuminati and she was under their control.
But then again, it wasn't like she was entirely forced to do it.
She had to do it. She was obliged to. In the name of minimizing the damage and savagery of the conspiracy, she had to accept the the position of symbolic monarch. As a symbol, if nothing more, she had to rein them in. She had sympathy for their struggle due to what she had seen. However, she also had sympathy for their victims, who in the name of what they believed to be a righteous struggle, smote their enemies cruelly, wrathfully and merciless, in the names of freedom and justice.
However, this isn't the tale of Madoka Kaname alone.
In the three years they had risen to power in, it had become the tale of 4 billion human survivors and the millions of stone-age reptilian people of Gliese 832c.

You are Paul von Oberstein, Spymaster of the Galactic Empire.
Standing on the sidelines, you are on alert for any potential disruptions to coronation.
However, having prepared multiple contingencies, you are somewhat confident that there will be no disruptions to the coronation of her Imperial Majesty.
Indeed, you feel conflicted. Should you continue being alert for threats and not see the majesty of her imperial rule? Maybe you should take a break from it all a bit.

No terrorist attacks. Good.
Time passes by without something happening. A rare occasion.
You look at the procession of a young-blue haired lady in a cape, carrying the original Reichsschwert held by Holy Roman Emperor Otto IV himself. Approaching Miss Kaname, Oktavia von Seckendorff (her codename) places the sword onto Madoka's hands.
"Receive this sword in the name of galactic justice and to smite the Eternal Enemy."
Another courtier comes, a drill-haired girl known as Candeloro and provides Madoka with a ring.
"Receive this ring of imperial dignity in the name of valour and courage."
Then finally, a red-headed courtier approaches Madoka, carrying a scepter and an orb.
"Receive this rod of virtue and equity and this orb of dominion over the galaxy."
Finally, the three of them together took the Imperial Crown of the Holy Roman Empire, setting it onto the pink-haired girl's head. In unison, they coronated her.
"Receive this imperial crown in the name of galactic freedom, salvation and justice. We hereby coronate you Kriemhild Gretchen, Gottkaiserin of the Galactic Reich."
And so the young girl made her oath.
"I promise and pledge, on the honour of my name, that with Imperial dignity I shall reign over the Galactic Empire as Kriemhild Gretchen."
At this, the rehearsed response was thus.
"All Hail Kriemhild Gretchen! All Heil the Galactic Reich."
It was thus in this way that Madoka Kaname was coronated Kriemhild Gretchen I, Gottkaiserin of the Galactic Empire.
And there was no terrorist attack.

It was mostly symbolic, but it was a strong symbol. A empress obeyed no-one except God. This dignity was founded through the use of the old Holy Roman Empire's regalia, although the coronation wasn't fully based off of it. Yet, above that, Kriemhild Gretchen was coronated as Gottkaiserin - God-Empress. She was a Goddess.
Yet for all this symbolism and talk of deity-hood, there had only been one manifestation of her divine power, on Walpurgis Night three years ago.
Most of the guests having left, the only thing left to do are to either return home and to find something left to work on.
