Raise the flag of the Fasces high!
The revolt of the People shall not be ignored!
With one color, one ideology and one strong leader we will prevail over the bolshevik scum!
So come brownshirts, and together we will install a strong government for a strong people.
A strong nation for our ambitions.
A stong culture for our traditions.

Fascism
>>
>>344278
Imagine, if you can, a program that can select the best possible political solution to any problem for the people based on what has worked in the past, not only the history of our country, but the history of civilization. An algorithm put together in such a way that it can never betray the people and can never cause a decrease in our standard of living.
>>
>>344315
Why make a program when you can just chose Fascism and be done with it?
>>
>>344316
Be cause fascism does only one thing, defeat those that publicly apposed you, the machine can do that, and so much more.
>>
>>344305
Yes. As long as my inbred children can look up to their Uncle/Brother/Father and know that I had created the life that many can only dream of.
>>
>>344323
You do know that every other political system is able to come up with new technology right?

Oh, and a disclaimer:
Technocracy:
the government or control of society or industry by an elite of technical experts.
an instance or application of technocracy.
plural noun: technocracies
an elite of technical experts.

Technocracy doesn't mean better tech, we're just making technerds leaders because muhh science dude lmao
>>
>>344337
>Technocracy doesn't mean better tech, we're just making technerds leaders because muhh science dude lmao
Except the opening post outright says we get bonus knowledge for picking technocracy.
>>
>>344337
Yeah but we get a plan to make the human race the greatest.

Also with tech experts in the positions to make decisions, they'll be much more inclined to make decisions that'll further tech.
>>
>>344362
Well OP got it wrong
But it is an unrealistic pic made by a weeb anyways
>>344365
>they'll be much more inclined to make decisions that'll further tech
That's kind of an issue really, because making new tech costs a lot of money, and I mean a lot of money, not to mention the workforce and the level of education our people should have
Stuff like that could be really damaging to our nation socioeconomically
>>
>>344373
Yeah but if we keep it secret we could sell the results of the tech for sweet dosh

You're standing at the ruined gate of the old presidential palace, looking out at the burning remains of the former Syrian capital, Damascus.

Hours ago, you awoke inside of tank next to a peculiar girl in the midst of a major battle. For some reason, you knew how to respond to the situation precisely, and managed to rally your side to victory in the face of overwhelming odds.

You figured out which side that was just a few minutes ago, as your new comrades-in-arms wept at the loss of their former commander, Bashir al-Addad. Apparently the genteel dictator had been shot down by religious fanatics while evacuating children from a burning orphanage, rest his soul.

As you think on the battle, you recall performing some truly absurd feats - shooting down an enemy helicopter with your sidearm, charging through an inferno on the front lines with nothing but a flag and beating up an entire squad, literally dodging bullets - it's ridiculous any way you look at it.

Now that you're thinking about this more sincerely, you recognize that's not the only weird part. For one, you don't recall ever traveling to the Middle East. In fact, you don't even have a very good idea of where Syria, let alone Damascus is. And you've sure as shit never driven a tank, fired a gun, or led an army. The only language you know is English, setting aside a bit of high school Spanish. How the fuck did you even manage to talk to anyone, let alone relay orders?

Then you remember something, and look to your side. Standing there is an unfairly cute young girl, wearing some kind of military uniform, with wild brown hair and a stupid smirk on her face. You remember now, that she's been with you this whole time, fighting right alongside you. "Yukari," you mumble, before you can stop yourself.

"What's up boss?"

We could have gone to space? We could have explored the galaxy, we could have finally answer the biggest scientific and philosophical questions humanity has ever faced.
Is there a god? Are we alone in the galaxy? What started the big bang? Why do men have nipples?
We could have genetically engineered awesome abominations.

But now instead the human race is just going to shoot at each other and never reach the stars waiting above us, waiting to be experienced.
>>
>>345011
>Ruffle her hair
You reach down and pat her hair, purposefully messing it as you do. "Good work." You're surprised at the authority you hear in your own voice.

She squirms a bit under the assault, and it reminds you of a big shaggy dog happy to be petted, but doesn't move to stop you. Yukari responds "So, uh, what's the plan boss?"

You take a moment and think. Before a plan comes an assessment of your situation. First and foremost, an assessment of yourself. You're an American, you're 20 years old, and you were aimlessly attending a state college until this morning. But what was your name, and what made you stand out?

Please select one:

>Adam; male; you were mostly known for being a troublemaker and prankster, but actually gained a lot of practical knowledge in your exploits [+technology, +empathy, -authority]

You're Anna Brandt, and you were a prodigy in the field of genetic engineering. You're exceptionally skilled and highly knowledgeable - few could match your ability in the discipline. You're a bit clumsier than the average person, and often struggle to understand how lesser minds work, but you haven't let it hold you back.

You know who you are, you know more or less where you are and what's happened - you're sitting near the ruins of a palace in Damascus, in the immediate wake of a successful defense against opponents of the (now deceased) Addad regime - but you don't know what it is that you should do.

There's some kind of conspicuous gathering of military personnel down below the main palace grounds on a terrace overlooking the city.

Behind you, inside the palace itself, is a large crowd of men - bureaucrats or politicians you'd guess, based on their attire - who appear to be feverishly arguing.

Of course, right next to you is the extremely suspicious girl, Yukari, who is waiting expectantly for you to deliver up a plan.

Please roll 3d6 and select one:

>A. Down to the terrace with all the military people
>B. Into the palace with the suits
>C. Question Yukari (up to three questions)
>D. Other (write-in)

>Into the palace with the suits

You decide to see what's going on with the frenetic crowd of suits inside the palace proper. "We're going in," you tell Yukari simply.

She gives you a salute and replies with "Roger!"

The main building is extremely minimalist, and the central foyer is basically just a plain marbled hall with winding stairs that lead up to the second floor. There are probably a couple dozen men and a handful of women standing in clusters of five or six at a time.

[Reaction Check: Rolled 12 vs Passive Presence (10); Indifference]

Two people stand out amidst the masses. The first is a middle aged blonde man whose behavior is suspiciously calm; he seems to be exceptionally indifferent to the panicked group around him.

The second is a handsome, olive-complected 30-something who is obviously, and rather expertly charming the group around him. You hear an excerpt of him talking as you enter the room, "President Addad may be dead, but the struggle against the terrorists must continue. Our leader was strong and wise, and we cannot allow his martyrdom to be without cause. We must find new leadership to take up the fight."

How do you proceed?
