Welcome to Fallout Civ thread. Choose your Civ and location, and name your Capital City.

Mechanics:
> Every 5 population = -1 food, -1 Water per turn
> Population is gained from Settlement Beacons (Perk Required)
> Buildings Are Built with scrap
> Caps can be used to trade with traders
> Every turn, you can perform up to 3 Actions (3 AP)
> Instead of Researching, you level up and choose perks. You need XP to level up, to gain XP, perform tasks such as building, exploring, scavenging, etc. You will gain the most XP from completing quests. Quests will be given to you from time to time, or you can choose to search for them as an action.

Where we last left off, you had just cleared a gas station and found quite a bit of supplies. Good job!

You have those who scavenged bring the loot back into town and then dine on some Mentats

You continue to have the explorer explore and as he comes to a hill, he can see three structures in different directions.

The disguised raider scouts the outskirts of the town and finds no holes in the walls, but no guards either. He notices that the town's name is Backside, and they seem to have electricity powering some lights.

Please don't be kill OP, this is the first decent fallout civ quest I've ever seen, and it's already got quality players and a good theme going.

Nothing stopping a good faction being proactive. Consider a Minuteman confederacy, for example. Plenty of diplomatic and military ways to expand the Protectorate, or whathaveyou.

Honestly, besides the NCR and Caesar's Legion, there's a real lack of ambition in much of the wasteland. Imperium doesn't have to mean crushing everyone under your boot (although that's much easier); it just means having the ambition and ability to dream big and then work to make those dreams reality.

Hell, these raiders, if they stopped inhaling furious amounts of dick, could form a new holy empire under an Emperor with the divine right to rule or something. Alliances, stability, strength... Much more wealth and power than they'll ever get by raiding, with only a fraction of the risk!

Thaaat's what I'm talking about! Even the Goths, Saxons and Mongols eventually settled down and founded successful kingdoms! So many raider bosses just don't have the drive to take the leap from 'boss' to 'chief' or 'king'!

You know... Off-topic, I've always wished the wasteland after 200 years was a bit more like Caesar's Legion in terms of technology. After two centuries, you'd think modern weapons like automatics would be kind of rare and spears, bows, shields and swords would be the norm, with a few more rugged guns, like revolvers and bolt-actions.

Maybe that's just me. I've just had a hankering lately for something post-apocalyptic that blends the Dark Ages after the fall of Rome and the late 19th century...

I mean, pipe guns and the like are kind of my jam. It's not supremely hard to make a simple bolt-action or revolver or even a hand-cranked gatling, but automatics and the like, much less laser guns? The laser musket was a nice touch I think. I'd like it if there were more things like that; relics of pre-war technology not working perfectly, but kiboshed into something that can still do the job and wield a fraction of the power it once held. But then, that'd kind of change everything about the dynamics of the Institute, Brotherhood of Steel and Enclave, so I doubt it'd ever happen.

Retrieve a holy text of the god of pain.

Then if someone actually fetches the damn thing, the whole clan could promptly decide, "Welp, this guy is no-where as metal as we thought. New god? Or just re-invent this one?" The result could vary depending on if we got, for example, a bible, or a history book on the Crusades.
