You leave your last class for the day, Latin, and procede to leave your high school. You're a senior, and summer is coming rapidly. You can't wait for school to be over, as well as highschool. You might not be as setup for success like your sisters, who go to a special boarding school that takes them all the way for college, but with your grades you aren't really worried about getting into a college. Also, you excel at languages and math, and you know that colleges eat that shit up. Tonight your sisters are visiting from school, and you're kind of excited. The first day is always akward; your little sister acts as though you might shatter like a thin pane of glass when you see them, out of jealousy for them getting to go to a special school, while the older tends to treat you like a bug on the wall- something ugly to be ignored, or maybe swatted.
Truth be told, you are a little jealous; after all they get to go to a very prestigous school and you're stuck going to a public high school, and- most frustrtatingly- you never even got the option to go to apply for their school. Your parents just told you you didn't have the 'talents' need to go there. Joke's on them- you have a 4.3 GPA and are already taking advanced college classes while in high school, like the Latin class you just left, or calculus. Not that that has ever made them blink an eye at you- they always wear an expression mixed of your older sisters dissappointment and your younger sister's pity when you talk about your ability at school, no matter how much effort you put into the classes.
But now you have a secret one up- last month you found three books in a used bookstore- one in Latin, one in a language you can't decipher, and one in what you determined to be Gothic. The last you have to translate slowly as you learn the languages using available resources on the web, the middle's origin you thought you would be able to find out with some help from google, but so far have found absolutely nothing about, but the first you can read readily since you've been taking Latin since you were a freshman. It claims to be a book about learning magic, and at first you were doubtfull on it's authenticity. Hell, most of the pages ended up being blank- until you decieded to follow the instructions on the first page, which told you to place a drop of blood on its cover and recite "Libro meo".

The first thing that surprised you was the glow that appeared from the book. The second was that the pages were filling themselves out. You immediately began reading the tome once the glow faded, and you haven't stopped since. You've read the first several times now, and have even tried a few small spells. After a few tries, you've found yourself able to do some simple spells- light a candle flame, produce an orb of light, etc. Today you're going to try reading some of the second book as well, even though you've been unable to practice many of its spells (You knew that you wouldn't be able to after you read it's name- "Lubja Wigane", which you translated as "War Magic") because of their effects. The first time you tried you accidentally set fire to an abandoned shack on the outskirts of town, and since then you've been extra careful about them.
With your sisters coming home, you're a little apprehensive about practicing. Maybe you should just read? You wouldn't want one of them walking in on you- and they do have a bad habit of not knocking before coming into your room.
Or you could not go home right away. Sure, they might be upset if you aren't home when they show up, but it's not like it would matter that much in the long run, and you don't REALLY want to see the pity on their faces when they finaly get home.

After thinking it over, while you might not care too much, you know that it might make your sisters kind of upset if you weren't at home when they got back. You decide not to go off on your own, and head back home. You just won't practice your new skill for the next couple of days. No big deal.
Besides, worst case scenario, they go out looking for you and find you when you're in the middle of failing to cast a spell. That could be disasterous. You've had quite a few spells fail, and the results aren't very pretty- you had to rush to put out a fire in the house after you messed up lighting a candle once. No more fire spells indoors after that one.
You walk in your front door and take off your shoes- your dad's kind of a neat freak, and really doesn't like it when people walk around the house with shoes on- and leave them on the shoe rack on your right.
The clatter of pots and pans coming from the kitchen tells you that your mom is home. She always freaks out and goes into a cooking frenzy when your sisters are coming home. Everyone in the house looks forward to the feast that she always makes. It's one of the few things you have to look forward to about yuour sisters' first night back home. You shout a greeting to her and walk up the flight of stairs to your room.
You have a couple of hours until your sisters get home. What should you do?
