All factions have one pro and one con to them, and they are listed in the following
Daggerfall,Wayrest,Orsinium,Gavaudon: +1 spaces on Western powers (wayrest, orsinium etc), but increased chance of civil war when invading those powers.
The Reach: Disorganized, suffer -1 spaces on all turns, but less chance of rebellion
Forebears: Prone to rebellion when attacking the Crowns, but are a land power and have +1 spaces when in inland territory
Crowns: Prone to rebellion when attacking the Forebears, but are a sea power and have +1 spaces when near the coast
Hist: 0% chance of civil war or rebellion inside Black Marsh, but disorganized having -1 spaces on all attacks
Chorrol: Cuhlecain's petty colovian kingdom, later home to Tiber Septim and the Glorious Third Cyrodiilic Empire. Suffer -2 spaces on all attacks until it has full control of the imperial isle which, then, is renamed the Third Empire and has +3 spaces on all attacks.
Skingrad: A petty Colovian kingdom. Suffer -2 spaces on all attacks until it has full control of the imperial isle, which, then, is renamed into the Cyrodiilic Empire and has +2 spaces on all attacks.
Cheydinhal: A petty Nibenese kingdom. Suffer -2 spaces on all attacks until it has full control of the imperial isle, which, then, is renamed into the Cyrodiilic Empire and has +2 spaces on all attacks.
Nibennium: The last remnant of the Akaviri Potentate, this is a failed state clinging on to life. Suffer -2 spaces on all attacks, and no bonus when controlling the Imperial Isle.
Drakelowe: A petty Nibenese kingdom. Suffer -2 spaces on all attacks until it has full control of the imperial isle, which, then, is renamed into the Cyrodiilic Empire and has +2 spaces on all attacks.
Colovian Estates: A loosely united kingdom of Anvil and Kvatch. It is someone prone to civil war, but has +1 spaces when at war with another Colovian power. (Chorrol, Skingrad, or Sancre Tor.) (continued in next post.))

Cyrodiil, the heart of the empire is divided by petty warlords and kingdoms, all vying for control of the Ruby Throne. Colovia and Nibenay stand divided and at throats. There has been over four hundred years of constant warfare since the collapse of the Empire.
There is not only war in Cyrodiil. All of Tamriel has lain in ruin for many years. Man against man, Mer against Mer.
But now the actors are assembled. The final act is about to begin. It is time for the Interregnum to end.

CIVIL WAR IN THE ALDMERI DOMINION: Bosmer refuse to relinquish the Green Pact, which allows cannibalism among other things. Aldmeri Battlemages begin to march on the new found kingdom.
The Khajiit rebellion in Pelletine is utterly crushed. The leader of the rebellion, Khiashi, is executed and the soldiers of the rebellion are sold into slavery. (mostly to the dunmer)
The Orcish auxillary armies founded from the remnant Breton army of Gavaudon has refused to cooperate and does not want to meet Wayrest on the field of battle. All of them receive 500 lashes. The battle, of course, does not happen.

TIBER SEPTIM IS CROWNED EMPEROR in Green Emperor Way of the Imperial City. Thus begins the Empire of Tamriel. The Emperor's Palace is a crown of sun rays, surrounded by his magical gardens. One garden path is known as Green Emperor Road-here, topiaries of the heads of past Emperors have been shaped by sorcery and can speak. When one must advise Tiber Septim, birds are drawn to the hedgery head, using their songs as its voice and moving its branches for the needed expressions.
Tiber Septim, Emperor invades Bruma. Bruma is also being invaded by Cheydinhal.
The Nibenese Kingdom of Bravil crosses the Elata River in the western heartlands into Nibennium. War has begun.
Colovian soldiers hailing from Anvil siege Kvatch.
The rebellion is smashed in the Reach, but still survives on a thread.
Pelletine is no more.
Argonian soldiers cross the border between Cyrodiil and Black Marsh, and lay siege to the countryside of Drakelowe. WAR.

The citadel of Sancre Tor was not only protected by an unscalable cliff in front and unscalable heights in their rear, but the entrance to the citadel was magically concealed under the appearance of a large mountain lake in the basin beneath the heights. Accordingly, the Colovians left on a small force to defend the citadel, descending through lower passages to attack and overwhelm the cold, hungry Cyrodilic forces before them. They expected to defeat, overrun, and annihilate General Talos' army, leaving no one to oppose their fall descent into the Cyrodilic Heartlands.
Thus did General Talos lure the Colovians to their doom.
Leaving a weak force in the lowlands to draw out the defenders, General Talos approached the citadel of Sancre Tor from the rear, descending the supposedly unscalable heights behind the citadel, and sneaking into the supposedly magically concealed entrance to the inner citadel. This remarkable feat is attributed to the agency of a single unnamed traitor, by tradition a Nibenese turncoat sorcerer, who revealed both the existence of an obscure mountain trail down the heights behind the citadel and the secret of the citadel entrance concealed beneath its illusory lake surface.
While the Cyrodilic army in the lowlands fought a desperate defense against the Nord-Breton sortie, General Talos and his men entered the citadel, swept aside the sparse defense, captured the Colovian nobles and generals, and compelled them to surrender the citadel and their armies.

The Aldmeri Dominion has been slowly fortifying their goals of elven rule.
