How long has it been? How long have you been staring at the mirror in front of you? The one playing memories out in front of you like some kind of black and white movie?
Must have been a while, because it's played somebodies life around three times already. You aren't sure if they're your memories or if they belong to somebody else.
Suddenly you see something new show up on the mirror, an image of a family on a farm, in color this time.
You focus on a little boy, his eyes shining with intelligence and you can tell he'll go far.
Out of nowhere he locks gazes with you, and all you can do is stare straight back at him. He winks one eye and everything goes black, then you hear glass shatter somewhere.

Everything fucking hurts.
You jolt forwards and open your eyes, and see a small woman in some kind of black armor crying over you. She's holding some kind of blow-torch in one hand and a pistol in the other hand. The two of you are huddled in a tiny corner of a closet of some kind, if it weren't for the flashlight on her helmet you doubt you'd be able to see anything at all.
A second passes and your hearing returns, and you pick up two distinct noises from the silence around the two of you. Her sobbing noises, and a loud stomping noise that's getting louder and louder by the second.
She turns her head to the destination of the other sound and the light reveals a door to her side, you notice that it's currently swung open with a broken lock.
By the increase of the volume, you assume you have around three seconds to act.

You snap into action, extending a hand to snatch the pistol from her shaky hand, and sitting up a little to help with your aim. You quickly align the sights to the spot where the door is and use your other hand to make the QUIET symbol and the woman covers her mouth with her hands.

Whatever walks into that doorway is getting lit up, if you've anything to say about it.

The woman starts shaking in fear, but you remain still, using all your focus to make sure your aim is on point.

A white-colored metallic construct in the shape of a man, around seven feet tall and armed with some kind of arm cannon marches straight into the room.
You can tell it's not human by the way it swivels around and shakes before beginning to scan the closet foot by foot with a visor-mounted laser. You might be dazed and confused, in a closet with a crying woman in god-knows-where but you aren't shaken enough to misunderstand the intent of that scanner.

You aim and squeeze the trigger, unleashing a few rounds of indeterminate caliber at the arm before moving to the leg and repeating the same action. The bullets slam straight on the metallic monster, spraying sparks and broken pieces of metal flying from the damaged limbs. Unfortunately, whatever caliber your bullets are weren't able to completely take out the functionality of the arm OR leg and you're left with roughly half a magazine if the holographic counter on your pistol reads correctly.
The robot straightens up fully and turns partially red, visor snapping dead on you without fail. It pulls up the arm cannon and aims directly at you, no doubt considering you a higher priority than the currently panicked woman on your side.
You need to move and you need to move NOW!
