This is a quest based on non-transparency. As the QM, I will not be giving away any details that a normal RPG would.

For example, instead of saying "You have 1 hp remaining", I'd say "You do not feel you can take another hit". The same would go for every little part of the quest.

So, let's get going. The first reply is the one that gets chosen.

> You wake up in a forest.
> Peeking out above the treetops are the tallest mountains you've ever seen.
> You feel a little dizzy.
>>
>>258995
> Peeking out above the treetops are the tallest mountains you've ever seen.
>>
>>259002
Is that a grammatical error?
I'm sorry, I'm still having some trouble with my english.
>>
>>259016
I don't think so.
>>
>>259040
Ah, alright :)
So what do you wish to do?
>>
>>259061
Head towards the mountains.
>>
>>259070
> You try to stand up
> You fall down to the ground
> You feel a sharp pain in your leg
> You look down to see blood gushing
> You do not want to try standing up again
>>
>>259079
Try to bandage the leg somehow.
>>
>>259090
> You take inventory.
> You are wearing some ripped clothes, and you find 5 gold coins in your pocket.
> You rip off some of your shirt, and use it to stop the bleeding.
> However, you are still unable to walk, as the pressure on your leg from standing is just a bit too much.
>>
>>259130
Stay on the ground and rest until the pressure lessens and we can walk again.
>>
>>259147
> After a while, the pain from your leg decreases.
> You try standing up again.
> You fumble at first, but then regain your footing.

Do you wish to continue heading towards the mountain?
>>
>>259168
Yes, let's continue.
>>
>>259192
> You walk towards the mountains.
> Your leg still feels uncomfortable walking, so you are forced to walk more slowly.
> You feel slightly hungry.

***

> After walking for a couple of hours, it begins to get dark.
> Oddly enough, you think you can see lights from the side of one of the larger mountains.
>>
>>259206
look for something to eat
>>
>>259218
> You look around, but cannot find anything eatable.
> Hunting with your hurt leg doesn't seem like a good idea.
> It is getting darker slowly.
>>
>>259235
Continue walking to see if we can get to the lights on the side of the mountain.
>>
>>259239
> You begin to walk towards the lights.
> As the night gets darker, you can clearly see a few lights coming from the mountain.

***

> As it gets darker, you have trouble traversing through the forest.
> Suddenly, you spot a light close to you.
> It quickly approaches, and you can see that it is a torch.
> You hear murmurs coming from the light.
>>
>>259270
Hide from the light and see who it is.
>>
>>259317
> You find a large, dead tree trunk to hide behind.
> You stay in full silence, trying to listen to what they're saying.
> "I sometimes wonder if we're safe here," a voice says.
> "You're talking about the attacks?" A slightly deeper one says.
> You peek from the tree trunk, and see two armored men, wearing what looks like guard uniforms.
>>
>>259342
Approach them slowly, saying that you mean no harm.
>>
>>259342
Try to stay within earshot as they pass, taking care to avoid stepping on any twigs to remain unnoticed but not get far behind
>>
>>259361
> You stand up, and approach the guards.
> You raise both of your hands.
"I mean no harm!" You say, and walk up right next to the guards.
> One of the guards instinctively knocks you down to ground, steps on your chest, and points his sword at you.
> "Who are you?" He asks.

**RACES**

Human
> A mix of all the traits, humans can adapt to almost any situation, using their vast strength, wits, and agility to overcome any foe.

Warden
> Guardians of death, wardens leech at the souls of their opponents, stealing whatever talents the opponents may possess.

Disciple
> Perhaps the wisest of all, disciples have a memory unmatched by any other race. They remember spells with near-perfect accuracy, utilizing their knowledge to the fullest.

Shifter
> A taller, slender creature, shifters are weak, but possess the ability to manipulate space to their liking. At a high cost, shifters can open portals between locations, transforming the field of battle.

Woodwalker
> Woodwalkers are known for their ties to nature. Tall and slender, woodwalkers are one with all living things, relying on their assistance in combat. Are particularly skilled in ranged combat.

Automaton
> Shunned by the rest of civilization, automatons perfected the craft of metalworking several millennia ago. Part man, part metal, automatons are stronger and faster than ordinary men - at the cost of their wisdom.

Rogue
> A larger creature, rouges are known for their brutality. Rogues will hack and tear at an opponent, relying on their incredible strength to cripple their foes.
>>
>>259466
Male Rogue.

Name is Azase Fellshear.
>>
>>259499
> "Oh look, it's a rogue," the guard with the deeper voice says.
"I'm... Azase Fellshear..." You mutter out, still hurt from the fall.
> "Hands out!" The guard with his sword pointing at you shouts.
>>
>>259536
put out hands and attempt to convey that you are helpless and therefor not a threat by informing the guards of your injury
>>
>>259547
"I'm hurt..." You tell the guard, as you put out your hands.
> "We'll see about that." The guard with the deeper voice says.
> The other guard moves away his sword, and ties up your hands.
> "You're coming with us," he tells you.
> It is now almost pitch black outside, and you are still a bit hungry.
>>
>>259565
Do as they say.
>>
>>259565
exagerate weakness slightly and calmly ask for food as you leave. regardless of their response, unless life threataningly violent, be calm and continue the facade with open ears as they lead yu off.
>>
>>259580
> One of the guards blindfolds you, and pushes you in a direction.
> You walk with the guards for quite some time, and they remain mostly silent; occasionally talking about "attacks".

***

> After what feels like hours of walking, the guards stop.
> "We're here," one of them says as he stops pushing you.
> He takes your blindfold off, and you see yourself in front of a huge entrance into a mountain.
> There's no turning back if you continue.
> "Well, let's get going."
> "If we're lucky enough, we'll get up by sunrise."
>>
>>259634
Keep on trucking.
>>
Tell them the guards theyre real tough guys, pushing around an obviously wounded dude. Seriously, cream of the crop
>>
>>259643
> You remain silent, but obey the guard.
> You walk into the cave, which lights up from torches as you go further in.
> Eventually, you reach what looks like a mechanical elevator.
> "Get in."
> You obey.
> All three of you walk in, and one of the guard pulls a lever.
> You immediately feel a downward force as the elevator ascends at an incredible speed.
> The guards remain calm.

***

> After a short while, the elevator stops moving, almost knocking you down.
> The guards walk out into another tunnel.
> You follow them.
> The tunnels are much more decorated now, with gold engravings on the sides.
> The ceiling is also much taller now.

***

> After a bit of walking, you arrive to another gate.
> "Who walks here?" You hear a voice say from inside the gate.
> "We're back, and we found a rouge with us."
> A hatch opens in the gate.
> The hatch closes, and the gate slowly opens.
> Surprisingly enough, you're no longer on the inside of the mountain.
> Fresh air surrounds you, and you can clearly see that you're in some sort of village built on the side of the mountain.
> This must be what those lights were.
> It's no longer pitch black outside, and you can see the sky begin to light up.
> You are exhausted.
> Another guard is standing behind the gate.
> "The boss wants to see you," he says to the guards with you.
> "You, come with me," he says to you.
>>
>>259809
continue
>>
>>259827
> He takes you to a building.
> As you walk inside, you can see that it's a jailhouse.
> He opens up one of the prisons, throws you in, and locks it.
> You immediately pass out.

***

> As you begin to fall asleep, all light fades out into darkness.
> Even though your body wants to sleep, your mind has other plans.
> You begin to dream.
> You are in a small, gray room.
> You see chains all around you, large and small.
> Some are covered in blood, others are jagged.
> Some are on the ground, others are hanging from the ceiling, others from the walls.
> Even though you are aware that this is a dream, you do not feel as if you are sleeping.
> it almost feels real.

What do you do?
>>
>>259878
Start looking for a way out. Grab one of the chains in case you need to defend yourself.
>>
>>259921
> You find a chain lying on the ground, and you pick it up.
> Looking around, you find two doors - one to your left, and one to your right.
>>
>>259930
Take the left door.
>>
>>259930
Are they identical?

> You walk through the left door, still holding your chain.
> Suddenly, the door where you came from disappears, and you find yourself in another room.
> The room is identical to the one in which you just came from, but has five men in it.
> The five men are wearing dark robes that cover them entirely, and are spread out in a circle.
> They are chanting in unison, and are all facing a tome that is placed on an altar in the middle of the room.
> There are a few candles in the room, but on the outer parts of it the room is pitch black.
> You are on the outer part of the room, and so you doubt that anyone has seen you.
> You are still holding your chain in one hand.
> You spot another door right across from you.
>>
>>260518
Whiplash them. Kill them all
>>
>>260520
> You run up to one of the men, and whip out your chain.
> You lash at him, hit him directly, and he falls to the ground.
> He appears to be bleeding.
> The other men do not stop chanting around the tome.
> They don't even bother to look at what happened.
>>
>>260530
KILL THEM ALL! MWUHAHAHAHA. Kill 2 more and approach the tome.
>>
>>260551
> You kill two more.
> They immediately fall to the ground when struck, and none of the remaining men seem to care.
> You approach the tome.
> As you do so, you feel a chill run down your spine.

Continue to approach?
>>
>>260695
Pick up a dead man and throw him at the tome.
>>
>>260707
> You try to pick up a corpse.
> The corpse turns to a black dust as soon as you touch it.
> The remaining men are starting to chant louder now.
> The room grows darker.
>>
>>260717
Kill them all.
>>
>>260725
> One by one, you kill the rest of the robed men.
> None of them fight back.
> You are the only one left in the room.
> The tome lies on the altar, untouched.

Do you wish to exit the room?
>>
>>260837
We should take a look at the tome. If it seems evil, destroy it.

> You approach the tome.
> The cover of the tome has many engravings on it, and letters on it which you cannot understand.
> You reach out towards the tome, and another cold feeling runs down our spine.
> Your heart starts to race, and its beating is the only thing you can hear.
> You put a hand on the book.
> A pain runs through you, and you fall to your knees.
> Your vision begins to fade out.
> You begin to hear what sounds like chanting again.
> Suddenly, images flash through your mind.
> You see images of mutilation, gore, and sacrifices.
> Your heart begins to race even faster, and you put a hand on your chest in pain.
> The images slowly begin to fade out.
> The last image you see is a monster smiling at you.
> "Found you," he says in an echoing voice.
> You black out in your dream.

***

> "Azase, is it?" You hear a voice say.
> You open your eyes, and you are back in the jailhouse.
> You are no longer tired, but you are very hungry now.
> You look up, and see a well-dressed, tall man looking down at you.
> He's holding a piece of paper, and is with two guards.
>>
>>260870
That isnt how things work, man
>>
Ask why we've been detained and where we are
>>
>>262293
"Where are we, and why am I here?"
> "You're in the town of Mont'ul."
"Why am I here?"
> "As it seems, Azase, you're a criminal."
> He holds out the peice of paper to you.
> On it shows your name, along with a list of crimes.
> Murder, theft, it's all here.
"I don't remember any of those," you say after blankly staring at the paper.
> "It seems your memory was wiped by the Empire," he says.
> "It's standard practise to do so before an execution."
> You stare at him speechless.
> "Officials will be here shortly to pick you up."
> "I'm sorry."
