Your tribe was raided and butchered by another. Barely you managed to get away, and though you're not sure where to go now, you know you can't go back.

What's your name, and what do you do? Currently you're hiding in some tall grasses at the foot of some hills leading to a forest. Clear to see some miles away is the smoke rising from your former village, amid the grasslands.

>You possess your set of clothes, some basic cloths of animal skin. As well you managed to grab a basket of some dried grains berries before you fled.
>>
>>2489
>Urugguk, Weaver
>>
Krondike, egg hunter
>>
>>2603
>>2622

You are Urudike, a skilled forager and craftsman of the tribe... or what used to be the tribe. Remembering your skills, you also recall that you have on you

>A small sharp rock for clearing away underbrush in looking for nests and roots and the like, and some lengths of crude makeshift rope.

Having caught your breath and reaffirmed your senses, what do you decide to do now? You get the feeling that you escaped the attacking tribe well enough for now, but lingering for too long is probably not a good idea.
>>
>>2672
Fucking book it in the opposite direction of those raiders. Don't stop running until it's physically impossible to run anymore.

Or until we find a suitably far-enough away location with some running water.
>>
>>2701
You decide to leg it even further! You run in the opposite direction of the burning remains and distant screams of your tribe, across the remaining grassland and up the hills, into the forest. Fairly exhausted you collapse behind a tree, looking back behind it occasionally to see if you were noticed. All you see though is the same sight, of the smoke in the distance.

While sitting by the tree, after awhile of catching your breath you feel a sharp pain at the side of your head as you are suddenly hit with a small but blunted stick.

What the heck was that? A quick look around indicates no one on the ground around you whom would have thrown it.
>>
>>2722
Look up in the tree. If that fails, check the area more thoroughly and secure the area. Don't yell or try to communicate until we know what we're dealing with.
>>
>>2722
just run away who cares who it was
>>
>>2739
Looking up doesn't reveal anything, but carefully standing up and scanning around with your keen forager eyes, and you notice a little divet behind an older tree's roots. Hiding there looks to be a woman hiding, but watching you. From this distance you can't make out much beyond her clothes, which are the same as that of your tribe.

You're not sure what her intentions are though, but you do a quick pace about and confirm that she seems to be alone in her hiding spot from the distance you can see her, and that the forest continues on farther than you can see. With your foraging skills though you can tell that some of these trees are good for their nuts.

>>2746
As you go to run away the woman imitates a bird call as the hunters of your tribe had done, but otherwise doesn't seem intent on pursuing you. At least as far as you can tell.
>>
>>2799
Well shit, a dark stranger appears coming from along the treeline. He doesn't notice you yet it seems, but he probably will if no action is taken.
>>
>>2799
>>2805
Introduce yourself.
Become bros.
>>
Peace offering of fried chicken
>>
>>2768
Observe her from a hiding spot and search for food.
>>
>>2815
While still under suspicious watch of the hiding woman, you figure to make a good impact and announce yourself to the stranger before approaching him. Understandably he seems mistrustful of you and holds ready a club, and still more that he seems to speak a different language. All that said, he at least apparently understands your friendly gesture in offering him some dried berries and trying to make clear your name. He takes the berries though stores them, and gestures to himself by speaking as if his name is "Tegaki".

While not completely disarmed by your friendliness, he hasn't bashed your brains out. A further action of trying to indicate that you are from the burning village in the distance, and he seems to understand that too. For now though, you choose not to draw attention to the hiding woman.

What do you do now that you have a new acquaintance?
>>
>>2832
Tell him your name, and give him a handshake.
Then, ask where his tribe is.
He couldn't have came from his home all alone.
>>
>>2832
try to ask if he has food or supplies
>>
>>2832

Tell him your name. Lead him away from the hiding woman. Try to distract him.
>>
>>2846
>Distracting our new ne[g/b]ro
>>
>>2848
>>2846
He'll be like our buddy in buddy cop movies!
He is a comedian, right?
>>
Incidentally, we're gonna need to find something to arm ourselves with. Even a heavy rock or a thick stick will do.

Going round here unarmed seems like a bad idea.
>>
>>2840
You told him your name and he probably told you his, but beyond that communication is going to be difficult with no common ground of language. To find out where he comes from though, it would be simple enough to just follow him and he probably won't stop you.

>>2842
By offering some grains as well as berries in a trading gesture, to try to initiate some sort of exchange. He is able to understand this thankfully, and produces some bread from a bag at his side, breaking off some and offering it in exchange. He also has a waterskin which he offers a drink, you can assume.

>>2846
Unsure of how he may react to the woman, or her to him, in your trading gesture to somewhat successfully persuade him away from where she is hiding, to have a sit down snack together.

What sort of course of action would you like to take from here? With a mindset in mind, will you proceed hostile (carefully, assuming) or friendly to the dark stranger?

>>2855
You have a sharp rock but that's about it.
>>
>>2865
Try to communicate that your village was destroyed by some disgusting tribe for a few measly acres.
>>
>>2873
Beyond an assumed understanding he has that you are from the burning ruined village in the distance, you'll need to come up with some way more creative to communicate to him a specific sort of message like that.
>>
>>2865

Tell him about the slaughter of your tribe. He seems to have a lot.

We should try to catch him unawares and bash his head in.
>>
>>2882
>We should try to catch him unawares and bash his head in.
But why?
>>2880
Okay, just gesture to him and make a questioning face.
>>
>>2887

He's got stuff we need. We need food, not companionship for now.

Then again, nothing against not killing, of course...
>>
>>2887
>>2892
>>2882
Will need a consensus, or at least a means of attaining both goals before continuing with a full action.

Also for what it's worth, the woman in hiding, being of the same tribe, is able to be swapped to temporarily for main character perspective. She's close enough for it at least, if that's a need.
>>
>>2892
We have plenty of food.
This guy will help us kill those GODDAMNED [Tribe name]S
>>
>>2899
stick with original
>>
>>2910
Sure sure, just pointing out that at any time, perspective can be swapped to other individuals with the good of the "group" in mind if they are close enough, at this moment the old tribe (or what's left of it) being the group.

>>2906
Just a heads up but from what you know of the attackers, your tribe as a whole didn't stand much a chance against them so you'll need at least that to maybe pose a chance at revenge.
>>
>>2921
do we have any allies to visit?
>>
>>2951
As far as you know, your whole tribe was butchered or taken captive. Up until you found the hiding woman, you believed yourself to be the only survivor. Maybe there's other survivors out there like her, but you wouldn't know where to look.
>>
>>2961
then make friends
>>
>>3017

Agree with this then.
>>
>>3017
In the way of Tegaki? You decide to follow him to see where he might go, and by going behind him notice a bundle of wood he must have collected along the way, and indeed he stops a few more times to pick up fallen branches and limbs till he seems to have reached his carrying threshold. After properly rebundling it all, he exits the forest and proceeds along the treeline back the way he came from.

Care to follow him to wherever that is?
>>
>>3033
Yes, and pick up more wood to help him out.
>>
>>3033
>>3047
seconded
>>
>>3047
Very well, you seek to help your new friend and he seems grateful. Following him on a trek along the treeline for around half an hour, the signs of your ruined village wane as Tegaki leads you to a small valley breaching into the forest though less in the way of trees.

He points out to you down a ways, what appears to be a little encampment with rising smoke. From where you are you can't make out very much, but the structures of the camp don't appear to be solid, rather set up as the inhabitants arrived. As well you can see a number of four legged animals about.

Tegaki gestures to you and seems to want to walk you ahead of him, perhaps holding on to you if you understand his communication attempts.

Proceed with him down into the valley, and likely into the camp?
>>
>>3067
First, change to woman's POV.
I want to know where she is.
>>
>>3067

Can we set him to follow, then change to woman's POV? Let's try to get her out as well.
>>
>>3071
>>3072

Sure thing. Urudike allows himself to be led by his new friend down into the valley.

*WHOOOOSH*

Your tribe was raided and butchered by another. Barely you managed to get away, and though you're not sure where to go now, you know you can't go back.

What's your name? Currently you're hiding in the edge of a forest bordering the grasslands. Clear to see some miles away is the smoke rising from your former village, amid the grasslands.

While you had managed to get this far with your hunting skills, after awhile you noticed a fellow tribesman also made it to the forest. You're not sure if he was followed but wanted to get his attention and threw a stick at him. Unfortunately he ended up wandering off with some dark skinned stranger, strangely not associated with the attacks of your tribe. Maybe an honest coincidence?

>You possess your set of clothes, mostly made of animal skin. As well you managed to grab your typical hunting gear, some wooden spears, a small stone headed axe, and the means to make basic traps.
>>
>>3098

Look around from our vantage point. What hiding places are there inside the forest? Or maybe another taller tree we can scale?
>>
>>3098
Follow him, watching your step. Someone else can name
>>
>>3123
>>3098
Ileomi
>>
>>3115
From your hiding spot you can make out a rise deeper into the forest, and a denser concentration of trees. As well you can make out several trails and tracks left by animals. There are taller trees, but they are deeper in the forest. For hiding spots though, it probably wouldn't be hard to locate an overhang or something akin to that, made by a bigger tree overturned by a storm say.

>>3123
After scouting around you follow your tribesman to the farthest extent the forest will allow, bordering a small valley with some encampment below. More of the dark skinned strangers it looks like, with the one from before now leading your tribesman down to the others. You remain unnoticed though.

>>3127
You are Ileomi, one of the few and perhaps only serious female hunter of the tribe. Well, serious for you, the men hunters never took you seriously and didn't even like you but you pulled your weight on your own well enough by catching small game usually with traps. You turned to hunting because the tribe marked you as cursed after a miscarriage, so you had little option when they wouldn't have you around the village if they had a say in it.

Your skills though as a hunter are quite capable, if falling short overall due to your lower strength and physicality. Knowing all this, and that you are armed, how do you proceed?
>>
>>3150
I say continue on after him this time alerting him with words instead of sticks
>>
>>3163
You decide to risk it and break the treeline and call out to him, on approach noticing that he is Urudike, a craftsman and forager. You're familiar with him at least, and have helped one another a couple times back in the tribe, though he'd still be wary of you as cursed.

By calling out to him he stops to turn his attention, but the dark fellow with him takes up arms and yells at you. Maybe he saw your hunting weapons, maybe he didn't like being sneaked up on. Either way though Urudike asks what's going on, now that he recognizes you. He also says something about trying to make friends now that your tribe is all but destroyed.

How to proceed? The dark stranger seems a little hostile.
>>
>>3180
I say see if we can both calm him but if he gets too close back away into forest
>>
>>3180
Wait for Urudike to calm his friend.
Admire Urudike.
>>
>>3182
You converse and while you may not agree with his plan, Urudike attempts to calm his friend. The stranger at least doesn't seem hostile to him but pats him off, and yells at you and gestures for you to come to him and probably to put down your weapons. He approaches slowly with a hand out as though he intends to grab you like he did with Urudike. As per your orders for now, you will back away if he gets to close.

Do you care enough to keep away from him, or accept what he wants? Or something else?

>>3188
Unfortunately Urudike doesn't seem very capable in this. Also he's not a particularly admirable guy from the tribe, but you try. To be fair he didn't treat you as badly as most of the rest of the tribe did, and he can weave a mean basket.
>>
>>3204
Just do what he says.
You'll need allies if you are to CRUSH the tribe that CRUSHED yours.
>>
>>3204
Don't give up the weapons but "holster" them as best you can. Stay out of reach, say you don't like being touched and if he forces it, mention your curse.
>>
>>3218
Very well! You lay down your hunting weapons, the dark stranger separates you from them and picks them up, after which he grabs you and leads you over to Urudike, to lead the both of you to the encampment below.

Urudike and Ileomi are now close enough in a situation that they can be played as simultaneously. Together now, do you act or accept being led to the camp?
>>
>>3227
Accept.
>>
>>3230
So it goes.

Being led by Tegaki, once the little group gets lower into the valley, he gives probably a signal call that is returned by people from the camp. A little while later and the group reach it, on the approach noticing that like Tegaki, the people of the camp are all dark skinned.

Immediately they are met by what could be guessed as guards brandishing weapons, though Tegaki converses with them and some others who approach curiously. After some talking, the two of you are led to a crude tent as Tegaki goes his own way, and are pushed inside. These folks are a little rough with you two to be honest. A lot of talking is going on though, and after awhile some men and women come under the tent as well and look intent to separate the two of you, the women looking to take Ileomi, the men looking to take Urudike.

Any actions?
>>
>>3242
Hold hands with Urudike.
He's all you have left.
>>
>>3242
stay together
>>
>>3246
The two of you hold hands, maybe try to indicate that you are a couple. The strangers seem to understand this to an extent and so rather than taking you to separate areas of the camp they resolve to do what they came to with you together. And so the two of you are led to a small stream through the camp, and they proceed to search the two of you, to a fair level of discomfort and privacy invasion probably explaining why they had appropriate genders for the both of you. After taking everything including your clothes, some of them leave with your possessions and the remaining persons wash the both of you in the stream, before those that left return with new clothes in the style of their manner of dress. After they apparently deem the both of you clean, they pull you from the stream, dry you off and dress the both of you.

Overall the process is a little humiliating, but doesn't take so long. Their clothes are quite strange though, not as soft as animal skin or in patches, but rather lengths of colorful cloth made form some unknown substance. The two of you feel rather strange wearing them, and dressed like these people.

Either way they lead you to a larger tent eventually and sit the two of you down, giving you bowls of food. They leave you to eat, though watched over by guards. The tent itself is fairly impressive though, itself colorful and lots of objects inside. If either of you had to guess, the place belonged to someone important.

How to proceed?
>>
>>3284
Wait for the someone important.
>>
>>3284
talk to each other and catch each other up on what happened after/during the attack
>>
>>3296
Interestingly the guards only wait around long enough to make sure you eat the food given to you. Neither of you like it that much, the taste is strange but you are both hungry after escaping the attack of your tribe. After that though, the guards take their leave and any sort of surveillance over the two of you is maintained by the occasional member of this tribe happening by. Maybe they intended you to be around for any important persons to see, but they don't seem particularly strict on how it happens. Probably safe to assume that whomever is in charge, is and will be busy for awhile.

>>3300
The two of you converse, and try to figure out what you know. You both know that this enemy tribe had something of a reputation that preceded them, as being monsters of half man and half beast, from survivors of other tribes raided by them and coming across your tribe in their flight. When your tribe was attacked it was shockingly fast, the attackers coming in on four legs, that the village was woefully unprepared and caught off guard. Urudike who at the time was carving some simple wood trinkets saw the attackers fairly close and only managed to escape by way of a shrub area near the village he knew of, eventually making for the tall grasses. To his eyes though, the attackers were keen on killing who they could and taking what they could.

Illeomi on the other hand, normally not tolerated in the village, was out setting traps so she got to see the attackers approach. She saw that a number of them rode into the village to attack directly, while a number of others waited and rode around it for anyone who might try to escape. Fortunately she was already out of the village, so got away without much effort and with her usual equipment.
>>
>>3317
do we feel anything odd from eating the food?
>>
>>3330
No nothing odd really, it was just unpleasant to your palette. There are drinks there though that have a strong smell of rotten fruit, and Urudike has heard tales of foreigners making strange drinks from things like rotten fruit and other odd substances combined, or so they say.

Also as an aside, you both noticed some children gathering, obviously curious about the pale-skinned strangers.
>>
>>3335
do we know any of their language?
>>
>>3342
No unfortunately, theirs is an entirely foreign language, not even forest people speak which Illeomi has at least heard conversed before.

Not to say you can't learn of course, but nothing to go off of for now.
>>
>>3345
hmm... See if we can leave to speak with villagers and if we can't, see if they'll take us to whomever we're waiting on.

I'm almost ready to hit the hay, hope you continue on
>>
>>3350
The two of you try to leave and don't face much trouble, other than the children crowding around you and chittering as they pull at the two of you every which way. Eventually some adults happen by to shoo them off, but their confusion at your language eventually gives way to impatience as they continue instead about their day. It seems for now during the late afternoon as everyone is busy or out of the camp, the two of you have been afforded freedom to roam about. Exactly how much freedom though remains to be seen. If you want to find someone in charge you could go looking yourself, or for that matter try to find anything else about these people you may wish.

And I too plan to go to sleep soon, but will continue things later on.
>>
I'm back, if anyone cares to continue this.
>>
>>4543
Let's start over cause I don't feel like reading all this
>>
>>4564
Ok, starting over.

>You are the only known two survivors of your tribe which was attacked. Though you were able to flee, you came across another tribe whom has taken you in. Although the stripped you and took your belongings and are politely holding you prisoners it seems, they have washed, clothed and fed you, and afforded you some relative freedom to wander about their camp it seems while most of them go about their busy day in the late afternoon.

The two of you are currently outside a fairly big and adorned tent, probably belonging to an important member of this tribe. What would you like to do?
>>
>>4599
Chat and wait. They must have placed you here for a reason.
>>
>>4626
Just so.

Rather than wandering about and maybe getting in people's hair, the two of you decide to just sit and wait, occasionally conversing about this that and the other. Worth note that the topic of the attackers of your tribe comes up again, in relation to this tribe you are staying with. It seems a very real threat that the attackers, as mobile as they are with their four legged beast bodies, could find their way over to the valley here. Whatever the case though you don't really have a way of warning anyone.

Time passes and a little while before sunset, some people start to gather and eventually pick the two of you up to set you more towards the center of the tent. There is some talking among them before a couple fellows of this tribe enter under the tent conversing among themselves and looking busy as they send others off on their way.

Eventually the focus turns to the two of you as there is a conversation among them and the persons tasked with holding you. One of the higher up men (you can tell them apart by shiny trinkets about their person) sends someone to run, and before long the man whom led the two of you to this tribe in the first place arrives. He brings with him your possessions which he offers up to the three men in charge. They don't seem much interested in most of it, handing it off to some women seated nearby to look over in better detail.

They do seem quite interested in your clothes though, the ones they'd taken from you. The fur, you can see they are clearly excited about. They even try to talk to the both of you about them, seeming to want to know more, but they are reminded of the language barrier, so they turn it over to the man who brought you in, Tegaki.

>He kneels before the two of you holding your fur clothes, and seems to gesture in a manner as though he wants to know where from the area are they from or perhaps how you got them, before gesturing to the two of you. He also speaks as he does, but again that doesn't help.
>>
>>4688
What animals are those clothes made of? Rabbits?
Use your hands and make them look like whatever animals you used to make that.
>>
>>4767
It looks like your clothes were made of rabbits. Uru tries to make a gesture to show that but they don't seem to understand until Ile instead tries to show their approximate size, and that they come from the grassland and the forests above.

Tegaki seems to understand this and relays the information to the fellows in charge who look pleased with this information. There is a further exchange where they display the hunting equipment that was taken from you, gesture to you and then to the furs. You take this to mean they want more and agree as best you can, which they seem happy with and have you raised to your feet and show warm gestures.

After that the two of you are kept under the tent while those in charge return to organizing other people of the tribe as more and more start to return by sunset. As night approaches people begin to gather and preparations are made outside, as a big fire is set and food and drink are brought, and those of the tribe have a celebration with their communal evening meal. There is singing and dancing and sharing of food and their strange inebriating drink, care you to partake in any of it?
>>
>>4825
>care you to partake in any of it?
Only a bit, to be polite.
>>
>>5046
Very well, the two of you eat and drink some. As before the taste is unappealing, particularly the drink, but it's food nonetheless and it would be rude to refuse. After awhile though the both of you feel rather funny, lightheaded and lighthearted, and your inhibitions are lowered enough that the two of you even join in on some of the dancing, to the amusement of this tribe.

Eventually you tire yourselves out, and resolve to sit things out for the evening, content to watch and eat but maybe lay off the drink. Otherwise the evening passes smoothly, and eventually the two of you pass out with some others of the tribe near the fire.

Uru is awoken though an unknown amount of time later. The fire is low and many of the tribe have probably turned in for the night. However, there kneeling beside you is Tegaki who jostled you awake. Standing behind him is one of the tribal leaders, and beside him one of their women. There is a short exchange between them, after which the woman gets intimately close and tries to help you to your feet. The tribal leader at this, intertwines your hands with the woman's and half shoves you together. It's a little intimidating to say the least since the dark skinned people of this tribe are fairly physically imposing, even the woman being a deal taller than Uru.

Ile remains asleep by the fire, though it seems they have something in mind for Uru at least, as the woman tries to lead you away from the fire to someplace else.

>How to proceed, perspective limited to Uru as Ile is without intervention, sleeping.
>>
>>4564
You dick that's not how quests work.
>>
>>5198
Well it's like a soft reset. Rather more a summary than anything.
>>
>>5112
I shove them away and indicate I want to sleep

As man, don't have sex, but go with them

Would it be possible to switch to Tegaki soon? I want to see how things are from his perspective if that's okay.
>>
>>5112
Shoot, still here op? I'm interested in seeing this continue. All the primitive stone age style quest tend to be fantasy and magic with ancient fallen civilizations, so they tend to be a bit repetitive.
>>
>>7076
I'm running an errand right now but I'll definitely be continuing it when I'm back.
>>
Back again, sorry for the delay.

>>5799
Uru is led to a smaller but more private tent where he suspects what the woman is after but refuses her. She does try and gets touchy after exposing herself, but when he reaffirms that he isn't interested, she tries to take care of him elseways by rubbing his shoulders and such. After such a long day, and the trauma of escaping his tribe being massacred, it's admittedly quite nice. Intimacy may be off the table, but eventually they fall asleep snuggling.

Ile on the other hand is awoken still later, apparently having been carried to one of the fancier tents, belonging to the youngest of the men in charge of the tribe. Specifically, awoken to the sensation of the fellow trying to remove her clothes. Although she shoves him off and tries to express her lack of interest, he reasserts his efforts. Not yet in a hostile way, rather just firm with a confident smile. Maybe he believes a little force will change your mind, or maybe he doesn't care if you're interested or not.

>How to proceed, perspective limited to Ile as Uru this time around is sleeping.

>>5900
It would be possible sure, but since he isn't part of the group sharing a common goal, he wouldn't be able to be given commands that would go against his own interests or that of his own tribe. At least, as it stands, he definitely doesn't share the same goals currently as Uru or Ile.

Unless of course, you or someone else actually wanted to take on the role of Tegaki himself, or anyone else for that matter. I don't mind if this becomes something of a multiplayer quest/game. In the meantime though Tegaki can be next, after the night is resolved for Ile and Uru.

>>7076
Well I hope not to disappoint you. This is supposed to be about as mundane as prehistory can be. Maybe a little superstition or mysticism could come into play, but nothing more than in real life.
>>
>>8050
>>How to proceed, perspective limited to Ile as Uru this time around is sleeping.
Ask for Uru. Just say his name.
>>
>>8050
>push him off more forcefully and run to the tent Uru was taken into.
>>
>>8050
yeah push him away and see if you can go back to original tent
>>
>>8110
You speak Uru's name, but he doesn't seem to understand or react. It's very possible that he doesn't know yours or Uru's names, considering you only saw him in passing earlier in the day.

>>8114
Seeing as the attempt to ask for Uru didn't work, when he approaches again you get up and push past him, quickly making your way outside. It's dark and you're quite disoriented though having woken up someplace else, and perhaps most distressingly you don't know where Uru is or may have been taken to since the last time you saw him was before you fell asleep.

>>8127
You do have an idea though to try to look for the original tent you were shown to, of one of the other tribal leaders. While trying to make your way through the camp and find it though, he only had to follow you and catches you fairly easily. Firm as before though this time he actually grabs your arms and tries to hold you from struggling as he speaks firmly to you now in his language.
>>
>>8150
well we don't understand him right? I'd brush him off and keep going
>>
>>8168
That's a little bit of a problem since the way he's grabbed you, it will take a strong effort, possibly a violent one to break free of him. Either way you can assume that if you do so, he'll return the favor in kind in trying to catch you again.
>>
>>8205
Pout and moan.
He'll understand that you're unhappy.
>>
>>8150
Scream out Uru's name. then switch characters.
>>
>>8205
well I don't want to be raped so...
>>
>>8218
You do so though it may have been apparent that he probably doesn't care. When you get fed up enough, you scream out Uru's name which startles him, in response to which he holds you close, shushing and trying to console you.

>>8231
Uru is awoken by a scream of his name! He tries to sit up though the woman with him had been holding on pretty well, though she just ends up sitting up with you still holding on. Not sure of why you jolted away, she assumes it to be a nightmare or something, and tries to soothe your nerves with some whispers while holding onto you.

>Uru is now awoken so actions can be taken by either him or Ile.
>>
>>8260
Go to your new waifu.
>>
>>8260
>Uru
contemplate getting up. Then drag yourself out just to take a peek out of the tent

>Ile
Time to start getting physical. Struggle to some uneven ground, rocks or the tent, then push him off. Shout out where are you Uru?
>>
>>8268
You're not sure about the shouting but you definitely heard your name, and you're pretty sure who would know your name around here.

>>8298
Uru moves to his feet, the woman confused but dressing herself to follow him.

Ile meanwhile figures she may have to get herself out of this situation, and so right away tries to drop to the ground with all her weight in an attempt to escape. The man is caught off guard by this and while you break free of his hold of you, he does try to follow you to the ground where a struggle ensues, and he clearly looks to be getting annoyed in trying to calm you down. Amid this you continue to shout out.

Uru meanwhile exits the tent and follows the tent, the woman hanging onto his arm thinking he actually might have noticed something important now. A short walk around and you come upon the scene above, of Ile struggling on the ground with one of the men of this tribe, both clearly unhappy.
>>
>>8343
Go to that guy, and don't be too aggressive, but gesture to make it clear that she's your waifu. And you /will/ protect her smile.
>>
>>8343
>Uru
grab the woman by the arm and pull her quickly to help, shout to Ell, and ask wtf is going on.

>Ell
Start getting VIOLENT. Punch. Kick. Struggle. Headbutt. What ever a tribal hunter girl can think off.
>>
>>8378
Against your better judgement, since neither you nor Ile particularly like each other that much, you decide to act to help her.

Making your way over, you try to break up the fight which comes to a confrontation. In trying to demonstrate that you and Ile are together, he indicates that the tribal woman is yours, in response to which she does grab your arm. Between the two women, the man seems to gesture that the tribal woman is yours in exchange for Ile who is his, and based on his demonstration it appears that they believe or hold to the idea that an exchange or trade occurred. Probably this was when you decided to accept the tribal leader's offer and went with the woman earlier.

Something of a predicament then, as some words are occasionally exchanged between the man and woman. Ile meanwhile tells you, you might have made a stupid mistake here.
>>
>>8444
Apologize, try to offer back his woman and a bit extra.
Do something.
>>
Go along with it, upsetting them while you're at their mercy would be a bad idea.
>>
>>8444
>since neither you nor Ile particularly like each other that much
As in not even friends and stay away, or more like we like her, but not enough to really get up at 6am in the morning?
>>
>>8444
Let go of the woman who's name we don't even know is, and offer her back along with an object we crafted with. We can like give them our fur clothes, assuming they didn't take it or feel it a trade for letting us stay.....
>>
>>8494
That may work, but what extra could we offer him, having been stripped of our possessions.

>>8495
This is an option but Ile will need some convincing or reasoning to suck it up and go along with it. In the long run she is most definitely not of a mind to be this stranger's wife.

>>8500
Ile was one of the outcasts in the old tribe, considered cursed by most and usually prohibited from the village proper. Uru as a normal member of the tribe generally ascribed to this, and though he didn't go out of his way to make her life hard, he's definitely superstitious about her and not a huge fan. They've helped each other out before, but to be nice, rather than an actual like for one another.

Though all that said, their stance towards one another has definitely improved being the apparent sole survivors of their tribe, but not to the point where they could be called friends.
>>
>>8530
If it wasn't made clear earlier, your belongings like your clothes and tools and such were taken from you, probably as up front payment for this tribe accepting you into their ranks and clothing and feeding you. From what you'd guessed earlier, going forward you'd probably be expected to help them trap for more furs.
>>
>>8541
Offer to trap him some extra fur, free of charge!
>>
>>8535
Can Uru convince Ile that they're basically stuck in a lose-lose situation at this point, considering that neither of them speaks the language and that they have nothing to offer? Unless someone is clever enough to think up an alternative.
>>
>>8559
I was thinking that but we can't even communicate. So I was thinking about guestering to our clothes and making the same gestures we did to the chief earlier with the rabbits fur stuff. Maybe pat or pull on our hair to indicate animal fur?
>>
>>8592
It's as good as we can do.
>>
>>8578
I agree with this guy, to not piss off too many people, I think either way the guy trying to bone lle is gonna be pissed either way. But we need to at least stick with this tribe for a bit. At least until we have better alternatives and don't have to worry about being picked off by other apex predators.
>>
>>8559
A good offer, but again there's the language barrier.

>>8578
Well it's up to you guys to come up with the alternative. Failing all else Uru can try to convince Ile to suck it up though.

>>8592
In an effort to try to broker a deal, you gesture in any way you can with your clothes and hair, that you'll trap for them overtime to try to get better conditions for yourselves. You aren't sure if they totally understand it, but the young tribal leader calms down a bit and seems to at least care enough to smooth things over. Helping Ile up, he grabs at her clothes roughly for a moment before letting go and making a non-threatening gesture with his hands up to her before speaking and carefully taking one of her hands.

You're not entirely sure what he means but it can be guessed that he's willing to not force her to anything too drastic, though he still seems of a mind that they're a couple, just as Uru and the tribal woman are.

>Actions, for either Ile or Uru?
>>
>>8658
Recall what actions were made when you were given your current chocolate waifu, and emulate them, reaching for Ile.
>>
>>8658
See if we can all sleep in the same tent. That can kill the mood, put lle on the far side then us, then the tribal woman, then the tribal guy.

>>8671
That's good. Mine can be plan b. Cockblock him.
>>
>>8658
remember your curse and reject the tribe leader
>>
>>8706
but how will we inform him of that?
>>
>>8706
YES
REMIND HIM THAT SHE CAN'T BEAR CHILDREN
A young tribeleader needs successors, no?
>>
>>8748
Hand motions craddling your stomach and then a line across your throat?
>>
Actually, we were determined cursed, so it was likely done by our village witch-doctor/spiritual whatever. So we just imitate all the bad offensive gestures that he/she did towards lle and point to her womb.
>>
>>8671
It was sort of a trade as far as you can tell, after the celebrations that evening. You can attempt it with the tribal leader, but you're not sure of the success.

>>8686
That's actually a pretty great idea. You're not exactly sure if you can reverse the trade with the leader with as limited offer as you have, but you're able to convince your way that his tent is much more appealing to you. Obviously there's some annoyance, but the both of you are able to get the guy to let you all room together for the night, so to speak. Not too close, he's not willing to share a bedroll as it were, but by sharing a tent you can kind of keep things civil, and the night passes with not much more than some discomfort over cuddling.

>Sorry for the delay, taking a short break to grab a bite to eat.
>>
>>8877
we have to convince the Tribal leader that Ile is cursed and Uru didn't even have sex anyway so we're good there
>>
>>8903
I think lle should be the one trying to convince. Otherwise it could come off as Uru trying to claim his woman or something.
>>
>>8903
These are good, and can come into action when play returns. Though also, Tegaki will be a perspective.
>>
>>8877
>>8962
So I'm assuming that morning will be happening next?
>>
>>8968
Yeah that's right, yours and the other players got you through the night, well done!
>>
>>8962
I don't think we should have too many perspectives. Might make things difficult to work without metaplaying too much.
>>
>>9003
We'll probably not a controllable perspective, at least not for now. Though I said as well earlier, I would probably be ok with people playing actual characters or NPCs like Tegaki.
>>
>>9025
Not a huge fan of that playing style, they tends to be very short lived quests without a strong base.

So are you waiting for more write-ins or are you writing something up?
>>
>>9051
Said I'm just taking a break right now for din dins.
>>
Wew that took longer than expected, apologies.

>>8706
>>8757
>>8903
This can come into play for an excuse later probably, when trying to convince them to reverse or change the trade believed to have been made.

>>8877
Erstwhile, if only for a perspective, Tegaki.

>You are a gatherer for this tribe unit of your nomadic nation, your homeland being many moons to the west. Your group like others, was sent out to find foreign peoples and goods, attempt to barter and eventually return for the annual gathering.
>Your group had only just recently arrived to this grasslands region in the last few days, and decided to camp in a valley found, bordering a forest with small access to running water. As often the case your job yesterday was to find wood for various uses, when you came across a pair of pale skin strangers from the local area.
>Judging by their attempts at communication, and the sacked village out in the grasslands proper, it would seem they are survivors. A good find then, if they are as desperate as they looked, and you brought them back to the camp. Their possessions alone were worth the effort, and their skills may prove useful. The head traders in charge of the group discussed and decided to try to incorporate the pair of them into the group if possible. Their honed trapping talents, knowledge of the area, and perhaps most important; pale skins are not native back home and very valuable, but are rarely able to be taken even as slaves. These two however, willingly walked into the camp and seem content enough to become part of the tribe, perhaps even marry in.

Ah but most of that is beyond your concern, as a gatherer. You have been noted for reward for your efforts though, so that's something to look forward to.

---

Morning comes, with Ile and Uru sleeping in, nursing headaches from the night prior. As of right now, only Uru's new woman is present in the leader's tent, having brought the morning meal and a jug water for simple cleaning. What to do?

Obtain morning meal and eat of course.

A day must be started off right.
>>
>>10283
That's sensible. The two of you eat the unsavory food but appreciate it, trying to figure out what to do next. When the woman notices the both of you finished though, she tries to get you to your feet and lead you from the tent together. She's not forceful about it but seems to have something in mind.
>>
>>10302
Follow her, of course. What's the worst thing that could possibly happen?
>>
>>10347
Exploding vampires.

But no, she leads you through the camp and calls a couple other women along the way to join. Eventually the two of you are led to the stream again to be washed, apparently they don't think the two of you are capable of doing so on your own. Stripped down again, the women pair off and wash the two of you, notably intrigued by your hair though particularly Ile's due to its length, taking more time than anything else to wash and feel your hair. Eventually new clothes are brought again, and they help you out of the stream before drying and dressing you, and then leaving you with Uru's woman. She then leads you to the original tent where the two of you had your possessions taken away, where you are met by one of the tribal leaders, Tegaki and another probable worker.

The leader holds up your original clothes and gestures towards Ile's hunting tools, before having them returned to you, and pressed to follow with Tegaki and the other man. With them you leave the camp and make the trek up the valley again to the treeline where they scout around probably looking for their daily task.

>Between the two of you, you have four wooden spears, a small stone headed axe, and lots of lengths of twine and such for traps. How do you proceed?
>>
>>10380
Make a ton of traps first. Then hunt while Uru crafts some very nice wooden trinkets. Get busy and after if we can finish in a day, give them to the tribal leader by putting them into the traded woman's arms and pushing her back to the guy and going off to with Uru/lle tent together.

>>10198
I fell alseep so it is convenient for me to take wake up now.
>>
>>10440
This sounds good
>>
>>10472
we need to conspire with each other in our own language and decide if we should tuff it out for a few more day sor consider a run for it. Ask her to check out the surrounding area, set some traps farther out.
>>
>>10440
That's a pretty solid plan to work by. Over the next few hours, Ile busied herself setting up snares and crude traps along frequent trails, showing and attempting to demonstrate this to the tribal men. Also in a few instances, she was able to take out a couple small game targets with a hurled stick to the head. Uru meanwhile was not nearly as busy and just focuses on making craftware out of wood. By the late afternoon Ile has trapped a good portion of the woods bordering on this side of the valley, while Uru was able to make some pretty neat trinkets including a twine necklace. Otherwise the day passes without much incident, the tribal men with you do their share of collecting, and before sunset they lead you back to the camp, the lot of you fairly laden with goods or the promise of them.

The two most prominent details from the day you recall on the way back to camp; first that you couldn't make out smoke or anything of the sort coming from your old raided village in the distance, and second that several cases through the day you or the men came across a couple fairly distinct animal carcasses. Something, some predator was quite busy in these woods yesterday.

Either way you return to camp and in a short time are approached by one of the tribe leaders, who is visibly a little disappointed by the small haul at first, though Tegaki converses with him and gestures from Ile's remaining hunting equipment to back up to the forest and understanding seems to pass as he understands and probably will expect more tomorrow. With this the hunting equipment are taken back and you are once again turned free upon the camp.

Anything to do in mind, till the probable evening activities, or either of your new spouses find you?

>>10480
Talking together Uru seems content to last things out if you need to, though Ile is understandably unhappy. Together they come up with an idea to maybe try to explain or convince Ile's new man of her being cursed or at least, that she can't bear children. It's unclear if this will free her from ending up some guy in the tribe's lover or mistress, but it will probably exempt her from wife material. As for their personal feelings;
>>
>>10715
>Uru could go either way, with staying or running. He wants to commit to a plan with a future though, a future for *the* or *a* tribe, and with just him and Ile even if they were partners there's not even a future of a family let lone a tribe. Meanwhile, while he may not feel at home with this new tribe by both the cultural and racial differences, they have more or less welcomed you among their ranks and right away thrust a potential wife and mother upon him.
>Ile Is in favor of leaving, and would rather strike out and try to survive on your own. She feels that is preferable to being the equivalent to low laborers or even servants to this new tribe, and lets you create or maintain whatever kind of identity and culture you want rather than having to assimilate. She concedes the issue of a future for you and a tribe are a valid concern, but she believes you'll be able to find or attract people to yourself overtime to form a new tribe, perhaps even more survivors of your former tribe if there are any more. That's farther out, for the most basic and immediate, she's of a mind of taking Uru's potential new wife with you if you are to leave, kidnapping her if you have to and sneaking off or fleeing from this tribe altogether.

I'm pretty sure that those peculiar animal corpses might be the work of those subhuman savages. Shame that there's no way to warn the tribe, but it might be better to stick with them for now. Safety in numbers and all.

As for activities, checking out the edge of the forest just in case might be nice, even if it probably won't accomplish much.
>>
Rolled 6, 1 = 7 (2d6)

UNGA BUNGA
>>
>>10730
Well it's getting around sunset and you're back in the village. You can go check out the forest again but it will be nightfall before you get back, is that what you want to do?
>>
>>10734
Well damn, Uru proceeds to Unga quite well! Ile however, does not Bunga so well. This balances out somewhat though, and catches the attention of some of the tribals nearby, mostly children.
>>
>>10735
What's the worst thing that could happen?
>>
>>10739
No idea! Just making sure it was understood that checking the forest isn't as simple as a quick step outside the camp.

So with that, Uru decides to stay and get his Unga on, and also try to find the woman given to him in the hopes of clearing up the mess due to the barter. Eventually she actually finds him, after which he bedecks her with the array of wooden trinkets he'd made in the day. While they may not be as fancy as some of the jewelry common to the tribe and having been made in several hours, they are culturally and by craftsmanship very different and so stand out. She appreciates the gesture and quite likes them, hugging Uru and giving him a kiss, and overtime other members of the tribe (both women and men) quickly notice and have quite a big reaction. It seems for these people, in conjunction with their colorful attire and style, fashion is quite important to them.

Ile meanwhile manages to sneak off and along the way up the valley to the forest edge, she even manages to wing a rabbit with a stick so that she has an excuse for having left the camp if she gets caught. Eventually she reaches the upper portion of the valley at the beginning of the forest proper.

>Anything in particular, in mind?
>>
>>10749
>4hrs later

Last post before I sleep.

Well Uru I figure doesn't want to strike out into the unknown, while lle is willing to risk it.

What of the other close by tribes we have previously met? Or the one we likely splintered from? We could try and see if they are still around.

>Unless lle can find soemthing better we won't survive very long alone in the wild, and remind here that there are worse encounters that she would have to tackle on her own if we/she left. We should at the very least, prepare and try to find more suitable place/direction to run or move to.
>>
>>10801
Together though their skillset makes them quite capable of surviving on their own, for what it's worth. Ile is capable of hunting and Uru of foraging and making simple shelter with his handiwork skills.

You know of your two neighboring tribes, though both are fairly far away and one your tribe butted heads with in the past so probably wouldn't be welcoming. It would be at least a few days trek to reach them though, for now you just settled with the dark skinned nomads because they were within a few miles of your village and happened to be in the direction you fled. Seeking out one of the other proper tribes is an option, but it would be a serious endeavor and would probably take preparation or at least a consensus from Uru and Ile.

>Well one possible option would be to follow the stream in the valley to its source. Currently you've really only explored the forest to the south of the valley, from where you approached after fleeing your old village. It's probably too late now in the evening to strafe around or go down the valley to the stream, but definitely tomorrow or tomorrow evening you could follow it.

Apart from that though, it will take more detailed exploring than sneaking out of the village and skirting the valley. What you do know though at least from stories from back in your tribe, is that the mountains are to the north and the ocean is to the south. To the west is obviously the forest which you're currently bordering with the valley, and to the east continues the grasslands, from where the attackers of your tribe came.
>>
>>10821
Ile goes back to the nomads.
>>
>>11096
A sensible choice, you return to the camp. One of the nomads notices you on the return, more curious than angry, but you show the rabbit you caught so there's no issue. That's an odd benefit to have though, anything you're looking to do in particular now?

Uru meanwhile is already at the evening meal again, sitting with the woman bartered to him who for some reason gave back the necklace he made for her. While listening and trying to make sense of their language, the three leaders seem to call for some order, and speak to the gathered tribe till eventually an elderly fellow emerges draped in many complicated colorful vestments and carrying a staff adorned the same. He continues speaking to the crowd before calling out in your direction, after which the woman moves to her feet and tries to bring you with her.

Looks like they're set for some kind of ceremony, and some of the people of the tribe occasionally cheer or holler something. Judging by the atmosphere though there isn't complete silence or reverence, as people around you shake your arm or pat you on the back, so it's not an uncomfortably serious affair.
>>
>>11134
ENJOY CEREMONY

It seems fairly harmless, and it's not like there's much else to do at this time of day, either.
>>
>>11419
You decide to go along with it because why not? Being pulled over by the woman to the elder, he stands together facing one another. He speaks for a little while, after which the woman places a length of vibrant cloth around your shoulders, and prompts you to make a similar effort with the necklace you'd made for her earlier. After you put the necklace on her, the elder quickly rubs with his fingers the end of the staff which had been slow burning something smokey, with which he draws his ashen fingers across the both yours and the woman's faces making a simple pattern. With that, he places your hands together amid his, and he kisses the top of his hand. The response to this from the tribe is quite something, with cheers and yells all around. The woman looks quite happy as well, and seeks a kiss before leading you to take a seat again, only this time to the side of the tribal leaders.

Ile meanwhile arrives towards the end of this ceremony, watching from the back. You're not versed in the way of this tribe's culture, but if you had to guess, it would seem Uru has just been married to the woman. Your feelings are mixed on the subject, worrying if he really is wholly assimilating to this new tribe.
>>
>>11471
Is this a prompt?
>>
>>12215
Ah, my bad if that wasn't clear. Was basically setting up the situation now for Ile how to act since Uru is bust at the moment. She can act without him though and can do what suggestions see fit.
>>
>>12286
Go up and be worried.
>>
>>12301
Understandably you are worried by this turn of events, and so navigate your way around the crowd in order to get closer to Uru, though in doing so brings you past the youngest of the leaders who you are supposedly promised to and whom acknowledges you.

Fortunately you manage to shake him for the time being and get close to Uru to get his attention and ask what's going on and express your misgivings. The two of you have a conversation to the side, to which he says he didn't plan for what happened and didn't think it would get this far, though if there's something he can do he'll be willing to help as always. Still though, at this moment and time it's not a good situation for it.

It's hard to maintain a conversation in this way understandably, but eventually the celebrations wind down as members of the tribe begin to take their leave from the center of the camp, and the older of the three leaders calls for attention again which he calls to action some women to take Uru and his apparent wife away as well. You're not sure where this is going, but it will probably lead to separation between Uru and Ile without specific effort to try to remain together. Otherwise Ile will probably have to operate on her own for the evening, whatever course of action she may choose.

>Any actions from either, as Uru and the woman are being helped up and led away in a lively manner?
>>
>>12446
Follow them.
ANYONE HERE?
>>
>>12488
Ile decides to follow them since sticking together is the safest bet you feel in this situation, better than getting separated and found the guy you seem to belong to.

And so you traipse along after the small group, where they end up splitting into three groups with each going to a different tent all near each other. Ile watches from a short but concealed distance away as a few women set up one tent with bedding and torches around it as well as a little food and drink left within, while conversing and some occasional laughter is heard from the other two. Eventually Uru and the woman are brought from either tent in simple lengths of cloth instead of their clothes, and led to the set-up tent together before having said tent closed behind them and most of the women depart while two make some distance but similar to you, hide by another tent watching Uru's and whispering.

From Uru's perspective, you were taken to a smaller tent by a few of the women and stripped, after which they applied a reddish paint-like substance to your body here and there in various patterns and markings stylistic of their tribe. It doesn't take long and it's not like they completely coated you red, but you do have the various markings and symbols across your body in a relatively symmetrical manner, even on your face. With that a sort of gown is draped over you and then you're led to a tent with a lot of laid out bedding and some food with your apparent wife. Now together, even in the dim light you can see she too is covered in the various red markings and patterns, particularly so when she removes her own gown. You can probably guess now that this is all a detailed cultural wedding night ceremony sort of thing, of which something similar existed back in your old tribe but not nearly as complicated as all this. Either way though, you've got the tent to yourself it seems, decently illuminated and comfortably set up. You do also have an apparent wife now though, standing before you in a state of undress. Your mind races with what you should do, given all the factors at play.

Ile meanwhile is only witness to the exterior of the tent, waiting and watching, and aware of a creeping hunger remembering that she missed dinner for the tribe.

>Orders for either Uru or Ile? The latter is of course outside but currently more or less unnoticed as people of the tribe occasionally pass by here and there, their minds on turning in for the night. The only remainder are the two women helpers for the bedding ceremony who stayed behind, probably curious how things will go between the tribal woman and the pale skin man, and intent on eavesdropping for some gossip later.
>>
>>12488
I'm awake, I'm awake damit. Fudge. They really trying hard to force us apart.

>>12568
>Uru to look unhappy.
Shit just got more complicated when he was trying to barter the woman back with gifts to the young tribal leader. Who he was suppose to do when he was present but instead made it seem like he was giving gifts slowly to the woman.

If it wouldn't break the practical and rational of character, I'd say fk it and ditch the tribe with lle.

Make some nice necklace pendant for both of Uru and lle to wear, more to show that they are from same tribe than in marriage but would rather tuff it out than be forced through all this stuff.

>lle being cautious.
She can always go back to sleeping at the edge of a village like normal, but she just really likes the feeling of a nice warm bed in a tent for a change. Maybe plan to fight for her "man" and try to bound closer to Uru.
>>
>>12709
We can probably have multiple wives in this one.
>>
>>12709
Not what I'm worried about, just worried about being tied down to this tribe, and losing lle.
>>
>>12709
>>12837
Would running away REALLY be a good idea though? That would be abandoning the advantages of being a part of the tribe, risking being hunted by the subhuman tribe, and of course figuring out what to do after you leave.
>>
>>13035
Playing in character brah, Uru is more pratical. and knows that things could be worse. He rather stay with this tribe at least for the time being until there is something that makes the risk worth it or some other option than try and survive in the wilds with a girl we don't like THAT much. He would much prefer his own tribe and peoples who he can communicate with. Uru Isn't all to happy about it either, mostly the unintentional trade and surprise marriage, plus them basically taking away all his tools and now they are what I think is loaning him his tools so he can work.

lle Is not happy about having a man force himself on her understandable. She would rather go back to the old way things are because back then she had the freedom to not get literally fucked by someone she hardly knows or likes, being a loner but had a bit of freedom and all. So lle would consider taking her chances elsewhere being a hunter shes used to being a bit independent and more willing to risk it.
>>
>>14584
tl,dr
Uru wants to stay till there is something worth risking to leave.

lle more or less thinking about it, but not fully committed at the moment and bought it up with Uru.
>>
I'm back, had to do a volunteering thing with some birds.

>>14584
It's also worth noting that Uru is younger than Ile, and was an accepted and valued member of the tribe, so less individually minded or inclined.

>>14611
Ile is less interested in sticking with this new tribe, because she's still of a mind of belonging to the former tribe, or even starting a new one someplace else. Uru is just happy to have found some stability and welcoming so soon after having his friends and family butchered.

Also in part, as a simple gatherer he was a lower member of the old tribe and so hadn't had a romantic partner and it would be awhile still before he'd have been able to. With the new tribe, they've shoved a wife in his lap, even if she is basically a stranger in all ways including culture and race.

Ditching the tribe can be an option, probably not immediately right now, but in a couple days or so so we get the chance to build up some supplies. The question would be, if you also take Uru's wife with as well, understandably some force might be needed. Or not, and we can stay with this tribe and see what comes. It definitely won't be an easy transition to make either though.

Either way in the meantime, need orders for either Uru or Ile or both, to bring the night to a close. Ile at least, will need a place to sleep somewhere.
>>
>>14688
Does Uru find lle attractive?
>dat toned hunter booty!
>>
>>14696
You're right in that regard, she's quite physically fit having been definitely the most active woman of the old tribe in having to run and keep up with the male hunters, and her mostly meat diet has afforded her good health.

To Uru, Ile on a basic level is more attractive than his wife, as they are from the same tribe, culture, speak the same language and are the same race. Ile herself isn't ugly either, but overshadowing everything are the two very big and very real problems, that Ile is considered cursed and looking to the future she can't bear children. Uru has entertained the idea of just striking out together the two of them and trying to make a new tribe, but if the did he would be very reluctant to do it as an intimate couple as he doesn't want to get cursed as well by being with her.

By contrast, his wife couldn't be more a stranger, but physically she's more feminine/womanly than Ile so physically attractive in that regard, and in a way conventionally prettier if he can get used to the race difference. Also there's a sense of mystery to her, being so strange yet appealing, and the stark physical differences; Uru and Ile are in the lower range of five feet, while his wife is a solid six feet tall. Last but not least as well, she's older and seems more experienced about things, more mature. Uru to himself feels barely like an adult and Ile not much more.
>>
>>14757
So Uru is, like, 17?
Ile is 27~?
Waifu is 27~?
/ss/?
>>
>>14757
How dark skinned are they?
>>
>>14788
Well, they're straight from Africa, so probably night black.
Also, does Waifu have braided hair?
>>
>>14787
Uru is 18, Ile is 21, wife is 25.

>>14788
>>14796
Well they came into play with Tegaki, who was spawned to being from the guy who posted nigger. So yes, very dark. And they have a reason I suppose, having little to no contact with pale skins so little to no intermixing.

And yes, it's braided and tied into what you know to be a ponytail.
>>
>>14845
Yeah, the start of this was kind of ruined by trolls.

So I'm thinking we set 2 goals, Survive and start our own clan.
>>
>>14932
>Yeah, the start of this was kind of ruined by trolls.
Not really.
>>
>>14932
I don't think of it as ruined, just taken a sudden and different path. No one was forced to go along with Tegaki, he just happened by.

As for those goals, they are something both Ile and Uru would agree on. The question of how to reach them though, is where the disagreements may arise.

Still waiting on orders for either Uru or Ile in the meantime, ideally to close out the evening.
>>
>>14993
Can you give some options?
>>
>>15005
I prefer write-in options, since this is supposed to be open-ended.

I guess though, some possible ones are

>For Uru, well he's been put in a secluded tent with his new wife who's undressed herself before him, the both of them painted in tribal custom with various symbols and patterns to promote fertility. There's any number of things he could do but it's pretty obvious what both the tribe and she have in mind. Of note that he doesn't know where Ile is.
>For Ile, she's waiting outside Uru's tent and for now at least seems to have escaped notice of the man she supposedly belongs to. All the while she's hungry and will need a place to sleep, but could probably sneak into some family's tent and find a bedroll if she doesn't want to sleep outside the camp.
>>
>>15053
Ile go with the other two girls in the dressing tents, if she can.
>>
>>15053
>Uru has a moment of thought then realizes lle probably has no tent other than that guys to sleep in and that means she have to have sex with him. Go find her and paint fertility symbols on her. Maybe it will lift her curse.
>>
>>15064
Noticing them, Ile figures she'll just hang out with the two remaining women looking to eavesdrop on Uru. They don't mind her being there, and she can probably just go with them when they leave.

>>15089
To his wife's disappointment, Uru vacates the tent feeling responsible in part for Ile's fate. When he does leave though, in part by her whispering out to him, he notices she's pretty much right there. He goes and pulls her with him to his tent to some gasps and fervent whispering between the two women.

Once inside the tent together, Uru's wife isn't sure what's going on and speaks some after covering herself up, but before anything can progress much, Ile dives on the food and drink. Uru just stands sheepishly, confused at what to do. Maybe it's for the best if Ile just shares the tent for the night, so she doesn't have to sneak into one or get found by the tribal leader? Even if he can't understand her though, Uru can tell his wife isn't happy with any of this, her tone of speaking alone a clear indicator along with some gestures for Ile to leave. Still though if need be, that can be the action for the night, and just try to get Uru's wife to accept it.

As for the paint, you're not really sure of the culture enough other than perhaps to look at the paint on your wife and try to duplicate them onto Ile if she's willing. Though you don't have any of the paint anyway.
>>
>>15160
Oh yeah, forgot we did sort of traded her.

Make new waif comfy, show her how artistic our hands can be, then in the morning give both of them marriage items. To show we own them both while giving the the guy we sortive screwed out of a wife a fur coat made of rabbits and stuff. Hopefully we have enough furs.
>>
>>15160
Go back to your tent with wife and fuck.
>>
>>15195
With Ile right there? Uru's wife will probably not be ok with that.

>>15193
A small problem in that to give something like that to Ile would require taking it from your wife since you don't have anymore without getting the chance to do some more craftwork for a day. If you're that cruel though you can just take it form her.

Either way night will finish depending on what Ile does. If she stays, you'll all go to sleep and Uru will have to settle with snuggling his wife. If she leaves, things will progress as expected but Ile will have to find someplace to sleep, hoping to avoid notice of the guy she belongs to.
>>
>>15233
Ile go sleep in the dressing tents.
>>
>>15233
Well I mean to make them, Urus a craftsman, and he just spent a whole day making a bunch of them. He can probably churn out some higher quality stuff if he focused on making less, maybe make them out of stone.
>>
>>15259
Very well, you tell Ile to take the food and drink and vacate herself from the tent. Tomorrow you'll figure something out together about the tribal leader. Ile does leave but instead of going to another tent right away, joins the two eavesdropping women and with food, dinner and a show.

Uru meanwhile turns his focus to his wife and joins her amid the bedding. Being his first time he isn't too sure on what to do though which his wife soon becomes aware of and makes an effort to take the lead and show him the ropes. They have a special night together, the marriage is consummated, and Ile and the women certainly have thing to gossip about.

Come the morning, Ile is the first to rise in one of the small dressing tents. She'll probably have to check all the traps she's set the previous day, but figures it's probably best to not just wander off to do so. Up and about though she realizes Uru is nowhere to be found and is probably still asleep. Care to wake him, or just continue without?
>>
>>15321
That's true, it will take him that day to do it though, so he can't this past evening just whip something up for Ile. Going forward though he definitely can try to fashion some nice trinkets for her to wear/display.
>>
>>15363
wakie wakie
>>
>>15386
As it was.

Ile gets food for the morning and barges into Uru's tent to get him ready for the day, finding him and his wife naked and entangled together amid the bedding, their bodies smeared with red paint. Ile turns red herself at the sight, and looking away she calls for Uru to get up. Eventually he does so from his wife speaking harshly at Ile, but soon comes to understand Ile will probably need help getting through the day. Although he tries to rise and get ready to go, his wife rather forcefully holds onto and speaks softly in her language to him while slinging foul-sounding words at Ile. Uru figures to see what's up and tells Ile to wait outside, which she does. During this time his wife acts rather lovingly with him for a little bit before slowly, carefully washing him down of the red paint, and then dressing and sending him on his way with a loving goodbye.

Now ready to head out, Uru and Ile find their way to one of the older tribal leaders and Ile hands over the rabbit pelt she'd gotten the previous night. He is clearly very pleased with this, and summons for Tegaki and another man to accompany you out of the camp again.

>The traps set could use some checking obviously, but anything in particular to do during the day, for today? Or place(s) to go in particular?

Besides the normal crafting/trap checking, it would probably be best to start making an attempt to get to familiarize ourselves with the tribe's people a little more. Even if our long-term goal is to leave, running away and going nowhere won't be easy alone.
>>
>>16370
That's fair, though with a work schedule it won't be so easy. You are led up to the forest again, and another work day passes as you check and reset the snares and various traps, and set about making more trinkets and jewelry. Come the late afternoon and you've got a surprisingly good haul of animals, including a couple foxes which the guys with you are visibly impressed and seem to talk about, and as well you've got another small collection of wooden trinkets and even some using colored rocks. Of note though that you did come across more of the animal carcasses, even some caught in your traps, which causes alarm for the men with you.

In returning to the camp, once again you meet with one of the leaders to show your haul, towards which he gets quite loud in how pleased he is with the foxes. It's to a point where other tribals hear or happen by and they too step in to get a look and express their surprise. Many people, not just the leader are obviously happy and express this even physically with arm shakes and shoulder pats and vibrant talking. It would seem your work in this has really paid off for them, and the with a hug the leader seems to indicate that you can go free about the village now, probably the equivalent of getting the rest of the day off.

Uru takes the chance to find his wife, being warmly welcomed back by her, and joins in to help out with her work (doing the washing for clothes) so that she may finish earlier as well. This pays off and they not only finish the washing and hanging up, but also get to bathe together in the stream before sunset and establishing a more normal hygiene routine of after the days work. Worth noting that during all this Uru tries to get to know, and learn from some of the women and children working alongside his wife. He is able to pick up their names and also a few words of their language.

Erstwhile, Ile tries to find something to occupy herself with, and considers sneaking out of the camp to go exploring again, this time possibly following the stream up along the valley. Is this something to commit to, or should she do something else?

>Action needed for Ile to fill out the rest of the day and possibly evening. Uru managed to fill this time on his own.
>>
>>16712
examine the animal carcasses from earlier. Try and see how they died, and what wounds they have. Things to note, number of legs, size approximate to a human or a tent. Skin colour or fur texture. Claws, feet or hooves. And what the head is shaped like. This will help determine what we can expect from this animal.

Can we stick to a more frequent pace instead of hours inbetween? The longer you post times are, the longer ours would be too.
>>
>>16733
Ile manages to leave the camp without trouble, to go and find out more about the dead things. Most of them are small like rabbits and such, though you do find a dead deer you'd missed earlier since it was a little ways outside your area of trapping thus far. Nothing bigger than that though. Based on how they were killed, and the signs of struggle, you are able to determine with relative certainty that a wolf would be the culprit. This might not be as strange on its own, however two things stand out;

>In the case of the smaller dead things, some of the traps were undone
>For the deer, it looks like some of the bigger bones were taken altogether, and even a few fairly cleanly broken through in a way teeth couldn't

As a hunter, you are familiar with some of these signs, that of your former tribe. Specifically, the relatively domesticated wolves that were kept, and the few people that kept them. You get the feeling that this may be the work of one of them and their wolf(s), though where they would be is difficult to tell. It seems like a safe assumption that they're probably living in the woods somewhere not far, but they made an effort to cover their tracks, particularly so in the case of any human such that without prior familiarity you would have just figured them to be wolf attacks.

Taking the deer skull with you, you head back to camp and present it to one of the leaders who seems impressed by the skull on its own, but not in manner of approval like with the furs. Besides that, you make the effort to attend the nightly dinner and ceremony, this time seemingly a religious one involving burning branches from the fire held, speaking given and slow dances by a few performed.

>Any actions for the rest of the evening then, or just stick to the developing trend? Also, having worked into something of a regular schedule, things can proceed ahead by a few days at a time now, so anything in particular to make an effort towards overtime?

As for pace, I've tried to be around in the daytime since starting the thread, but here and there have been tied up with work. That said, it's also a little hard to figure out a working pace with so few players around at varying times. I'm open to suggestions, if anyone has ideas for something like a working schedule or whatever.
>>
>>16805
Well state what time frame (timezone included) works well for you, if your sporadic, then so will the players. Have a set time from when you intend to run, and if you become busy after than then drop in when you have a moment, then off you go to what it was you needed to do.

Well, we hardly know anything about ourselves. So maybe a bit of development for both Uru and lle before heading out and branching the story?

>lle
Leave a signal or sign of your hunting habits or that of your tribes to leave a message. Make sure its reasonable clear, like a broken spearhead a parallel trap that only you make in your own style.
>>
>>16878
Well originally my set time was the day of making the thread. Having gone on beyond that has gone into weird time pacing. If people are interested in this continuing though, in making a next thread I'll try to figure a timeframe.

What sort of development did you have in mind? Not looking to write a book here, since if the end game goal is to create a tribe, by that point actions would be taken as the whole tribe rather than individuals anymore.

>A retroactive action, but Ile makes the effort to set up some rocks at a few of the trap locales, in the manner that the hunters of the former tribe did. If indeed it is a person(s) with a wolf(s), then they'll notice it.
>>
>>16905
Hmmm, Originally I was hoping to play it as prehistoric hunter-gatherers in a low or no fantasy magic environment and just play it with only the limits of our character and abilities in mind. Maybe try and become a primitive empire that spans across the mountains and had assimilated many tribes woman. Basically a white version of shaka zulu or something.
>>
>>17010
That's entirely possible, this quest was intended to be pretty open-ended and sandbox-y. It could progress entirely on the back of a single character, or a small group making their tribe, or it could be about the rise of an ancient history civilization.

That's up to you guys though and what you want to see. The limits are what you care to accomplish, and of course the realism of the world.
>>
>>17048
I take it as you'd like us to make some choices now? Gotta leave it a little less open ended for us in that regard. Like say for example: "with all that done what does lle do now" or "It is getting dark and starts thinking to head back". Then give the option to either do more stuff, and I suppose the write ins if we can come up with anything.
>>
>>17082
Always choices friendo! I'll try to keep that in mind though, but may take some getting used to.

Anyway, so with something of a routine to follow now, a wider scale of actions can be taken rather than steps per day. So, over the course of the next few days, how should Uru and Ile proceed?

>Keep to the routine and try to work with the tribe more, bringing in pelts and becoming familiar with their ways and language
>Try to explore more, bit by bit each day with the hopes of finding the signs of someplace new to head after leaving this tribe, during which time maybe try to find or contact whomever is out there with wolves
>Write-in
>>
>>17122
for Uru
familiar with their ways and language

>Try to explore more, bit by bit each day with the hopes of finding the signs of someplace new to head after leaving this tribe, during which time maybe try to find or contact whomever is out there with wolves

I'ma sleep since I need to get my sleeping schedule back in order and its 3:30am where I am. I'll check in, in the morning.
>>
>>17248
Same, I'll give other people a chance to respond as well.
>>
>>17122
>>17248
At this point it would seem that the best thing to do would be to stick to the schedule until we make notable progress with our current goals, or something of significance happens.
>>
>>18176
>>17248

Alright then. Over the next week, you keep to the schedule. Uru continues to spend time among the tribe and even has managed to change his work schedule when they realized his skills are suited better for crafting rather than hunting, so that his days now are spent among them constantly. His wife seems aware of his efforts to fit in, and has also made a strong effort to try to help him understand their language, including having some of the children of the tribe around so the level of speech is more limited. After the week of this, Uru has picked up a very basic vocabulary and knows enough words for the necessities. Also because he has has more time devoted to craftwork, the tribe and particularly the leaders have recognized and accepted his skills and role he is taking, and are quite satisfied with his work such that his trinkets are circulating about the tribe now. The best of course though, for his wife which you've noticed has drawn positive attention and apparent adulation from women and men alike.

Ile meanwhile has been trapping consistently for the tribe and managed to spread the range out around the valley in a double bid to both get to explore more and also to not overtax the amount of animals gotten by her trapping. She's managed to accomplish two good things over this week, first that on the fifth day she managed to sneak off on her own again and finally ran into the culprit of the carcasses; a boy of the former tribe and his domesticated wolf, surviving as a pair in the woods. You make contact with him and try to figure out what's going on from his end as well as explain your own situation. Like you he managed to survive the destruction of the old tribe and made it out with his own reared wolf, and though he noticed the new tribe as you did, he's been reluctant to approach or make contact since he's not sure how they'll treat his wolf (thinking they'd be interested in the skin rather than the animal). He's been having a tough time surviving on his own, but you've tried to help him however you can by bringing him a more balanced diet and giving him pieces of clothing bit by bit so he can make a shelter at least. For now though, you've though to keep him away from the tribe unless you change your mind, since it would be easier that way if and when you choose to leave/escape the new tribe.
>>
>>18300
The other thing figured out is more of the surrounding area, with help from the boy who himself has been exploring around, moreso than you through the woods. From your discoveries, it seems the forest to the northwest of the valley proceeds to a rise before leveling off into an ongoing but uneven terrain with occasional gorges, crags and small cliffs. Perhaps most interestingly, the stream proceeds up out of the valley through the forest towards the northwest, whereupon after a waterfall becomes a decent sized river. You're not sure where it leads, but it's big and deep enough up to the point of the waterfall that crossing it by wading and perhaps even swimming is not possible. Beyond that it seems to continue to widen and deepen, with an actual shoreline developing after awhile. How far it goes and to where it leads is unclear, but around the waterfall base the boy came across signs of civilization, so it seems likely that there are people upriver.

Another thing, more of a personal benefit, but Ile was able to convince the youngest tribal leader that she is infertile. This stayed his biggest interest in her and his rather forward approach, though he still seems to be of a mind that she belongs to him. She's been able to stay his focus on her with some minor favors here and there of the... intimate nature, something she isn't happy with but not the full package so to speak, so nothing she can't just tough it out and suck it up for now. Both figuratively and literally. Also aside of all that, the tribe has been very happy with her trapping work, probably the main reason she's been able to relatively determine the boundaries of the relationship between her and her supposed master. Of note that her trapping success has led to the tribe lessening control over her, and allowing her to have back her hunting tools full time, rather than just when she goes out under supervision.

>About a week and a half has passed since the massacre of your old tribe, and things have progressed fairly far and fairly well, all things considered. Any actions for the coming week, or something more specific for either Uru or Ile? Assuming Uru keeps to his current trend will hold him over for the week well enough, though Ile's position is more complicated, with the knowledge now of lands beyond, and of her contact in the boy on the outside.

Also I'll try to make a current map, if I can figure out this drawing feature.

Well I couldn't get the colors to work but here's a rough map. The square is the tribe camp you're in, the line leading out of it is the stream, eventually reaching the waterfall and river beyond. The faint lines to the south represent the grasslands while the solid line running up to and around the encampment represents the treeline up to, along and around the valley, everything past that to the north being the forest. The faint lined portions in the forest represent a rift to the west and a cliff line to the north.

Is the boy capable of scouting further, or would that be pushing it?

The boy can be asked to scout further sure, though he'll need food to do it since he spends most of his time currently trying to feed him and the wolf.

Give the boy supplies and tell him to explore further. Probably switch to the boy's perspective if something goes particularly interesting happens while he's away.

You can give him the supplies he needs to make a longer exploratory trip, sneaking the stuff to him over a few days, and indeed if something important happens his perspective can be controlled. Aside of him though, any actions for Uru or Ile for the coming week? At the very least if the boy is exploring, Ile probably won't need to continue doing so.
