I started Bug Colony before /qst/. It got interesting and it got moved into IRC chat, but at the time I couldn't stay on top of things. It paused and then went mia for like a year. I tried running it again but new players didn't want to do dick-all and returning players had to catch up.
I'd be interested in bringing it back some time but I'd have to do some railroading to get us back to the interesting story bits.

Dude, if it's the one you're talking about, Chaos Quest (main character is a Chaos Lord of Chaos Undivided) is still ongoing.

"Book 1" of the saga has just finished, (thread 5 is still alive) and will be rebooting soon with a summary of events so far and probably a new title, in order to encourage new people to join.

If it's not the one you meant, it's pretty fun. The main character has gathered massive power, defeated/fused with the soul of the emperor and built his own primarchs and legions to rule the New Imperium (some anon drew up the shoulder pads from all 21 legions that the anons made). The new big baddy of the story has just been revealed.

Would recommend when it reboots. The crowdsourced legion and primarch design was a little slow, and not many anons stuck around to see it through, but now that it's back to adventure it should pick up in pace again.

I was never really on qst or tg until relatively recently but the quest that first got me hooked was undead civ quest. Didn't run very long but the qm wrote very well, the story was cool and the people in the thread were invested in it. We never did find out what we were going to do with father frollo.
