I say that long thin bit of the land next to the northeastern coast of africa is a good bet.
I claim the little horn formed south of Panama, pic related.
I'll take this part with the grasslands and deserts.
I claim the land 200 miles surrounding the North & South Lakes
I claim all land masses of the white color in the Glory of the Royal Kreshnia.

I will send an armored group of trading ships down the coast to seek out precious minerals and other items of value. Anyone requiring anything should send us a message, we are all very happy merchants.
I am also constructing a gate between the two great bodies of water. This is to prevent pirates and raiders, and is for the safety of everyone that passes by, of course. I will ask only a nominal fee from ships that pass through.
Claiming this as the Eastern Republic of Axum

THIS MAP IS WRONG
This is not how it is made
http://www.worlddreambank.org/I/INV.HTM
Mark the sealevel carefully.
Remove all the water. Store safely. We'll need it soon. Some of it.
Now mark the altitude of every point on Earth and... turn it inside out. Make every depth a height, and every height a depth.
Now pour seawater into the continental basins until they fill to the old coastline. Since the continents are much, much smaller (and shallower) than Earth's seas (surprised, you ol' land animal? Do you admit to a little dirtocentrism?), you'll have a LOT of water left over. Hang onto it.
For islands and seamounts and undersea ridges, which are now deep pits and long valleys, use your judgment (and the likely local climate) to decide how deep to fill them: in dry zones, basins with small, salty seas at the bottom make sense, perhaps no bigger than their original coastlines; but in rainy zones, make them true lakes--fill them to the brim! You'll be shocked how big some of these "lakes" are--seas, really, far bigger than the Mediterranean. Be patient--there are thousands of seamounts, invisible to Earth dwellers, that suddenly become deep lake-filled valleys on Inversia. They're vital to the climate, and ecology, and our hopes for intelligent life on these vast raised ocean-beds. Without them, Pacifica for example would be an unbroken desert bigger than all the land on Earth, bigger than the entire surface of Mars. Why desert? Well, it's flanked by high coastal ranges cutting off rain from the Asian, Australian and American Oceans. But Pacifica's plateau IS broken up by the new Hawaiian and Rapa Nui Oceans and thousands of great lakes. Your task is to figure out HOW great. Same goes for Atlantis and Indiana. Their ex-ridges, now great sinuous rifts, will fill to brimming (so yes, there's still an Atlantic! Or at least an Azorean Sea.)
Speaking of Mars--pour your leftover water on it. Or on Venus. They both need it more than you.
>>28935
OR THIS
http://www.worlddreambank.org/A/ABYPACWE.HTM
Abyssia demonstrates just how much water Earth has--dangerously much. We're lucky to have any land at all! The recipe for Abyssia is simple:
Remove the world's oceans (keep them handy. You'll need them soon.)
Now mark the altitude of every point on Earth, and make every depth a height, and every height a depth. Our ocean trenches are now huge mountain ranges; our ranges, trenches. Rugged, isn't it? It's as if you'd turned Earth inside out like a glove...
Now pour your stored seawater back into the new seabeds--the Eurasian Sea, the African Sea, the American Seas. But they'll fill up fast. You'll reach the old coastlines with water to spare. Lots to spare. Keep pouring. Soon you'll be refilling the seabeds, and wondering how much land there'll be. Soon you'll be adding "if any." Keep pouring! Don't hold any back.
Look for land. Good luck. Most of our abyssal plains, which you'd think would form new continents, are just shallower seas; the bits that do rise above water are low and broken. Only 12% of Earth's surface is land! That's all.
>>28891
Also you have 8 territories, might wanna re-draw your borders a little.

>>29750
No, basically, from what I had dig up from the archives, this is just the rounding up stage, not the game stage. That one would begin later, when OP/QM declared so
Also, spot some countries that went past the 25 point limit. I dont know about that, but I hope QM would set things straight about this. Past games also usually had let known the current era/age so we wont get wildly differing start like this

1 = crushing defeat

>>31360
No doubt about it. Still, seems like the condition here in /qst/ are still stormy with posters like this. Something for us to think about it if we ever going to make a serious quest thread
Rolled 5 (1d6)
>>31255
Pic related is all that remains of the mage tower. The navy retrieves anything of value, and returns to port.
Rolling for loot from tower destruction
1-3: nothing
4-5: items of magical significance, useful but nothing new
6: Powerful magical weapons
What is certain is that all regions previously held by the mages are now solely patrolled by the navy of Rashilibad.
>>31360

Now that I am in control of a large swath of the Pacific, I am rolling to establish a new colony where I have place a dot.
I don't know what kind of outcomes could come from this, so if anyone wants to give me a result after the roll, I'll accept it. Otherwise I'll come up with something.

>>31799
The armada begins eradicating the stain of Memeland from history. Rolling 1d20 : 18
>>31680
Nice.
The expedition could not have gone better. This region on the other side of the Pacific is all fertile farmland, with friendly natives who are easily used as labor. With all these factors in play, the colony is able to govern more land than anticipate, even discovering a large lake.
>>31833
if you put "dice+1d20" without the quotes into the options box you can do that where everyone can see. Guaranteed fair.
>>31880
My new lands.
Rolled 18 (1d20)
>>31880
Ooh. It's my first time playing, after all. Thanks for the tip
Do not count this roll into anything, it's a test
Rolled 5 (1d20)
My next act will be to commission more sand submarines, to drive out the bandits that roam the desert. New factories are put in place on the plateau, and the newly upgraded fleet will be used to extend my patrol routes.
(This is to clean up my borders.)
Rolled 2 (1d4)
>>32066
The streak was bound to end sometime.
The tribals had anticipated this, and the northern desert was defended. I lost a large contingent of subs to mines, and by the time I was forced to withdraw, a large confederacy of tribals had formed. Now they threaten to cut off the new colony from the home city.
If this roll is a 1, they take over the second patrolled route across the desert as well.
I claim lake Malawi for ongobongonesia.
Rolled 3 (1d4)
>>32150
The attackers have been held off, for now, but I'll need more established defenses if I'm going to hold them off long enough to counterattack. Rolling for that this post.
Next post I'll be rolling to ramp up production in my industrial colony to wipe these savages out.
>>32150
Memeland has been destroyed, I think. Withdraw all forces back to the mainland and roll to get more land.
1: nothing
2: one piece of land
3: nothing
4: one piece of land
Rolled 1 (1d4)
>>32296
Typo in roll box thing
Rolled 11 (1d20)
>>32274
Rolling for full crisis production. The sand sub losses are to be replaced, and I'm commissioning the beginnings of a grand airship fleet.
Degree of success will give me a bonus on rolls against the savages.
Rolled 9 (1d10)
>>32310
Now, rolling for islands around the mainland.
1-3: nothing
4-7: 1
8-10: 2
>>32345
Someone needs to put our nation flags above our nations.
Rolled 1, 4 = 5 (2d6)
>>32335
I'm interpreting this as the factories having been built, and so I'm going to roll again for a potentially large bonus against these primitives, to be used on my next roll against them. There will be no more time to build things if this bonus is low, as the tribals are about to break through.
Rolled 8 (1d20)
>>32457
With a +5 bonus, I send my fleet out yet again to finish off the savages once and for all.
>>32485
What is this game, even? We are just blindly rolling as fast as we can press the Submit button
Rolled 2 (1d20)
>>32499
idk man. Normally I'd wait longer but I figure since I'm just RPing with myself against an enemy I came up with for a useless pile of sand, it won't make a difference if I go fast.
Speaking of which, I'm reclaimed my territory and I'm going after the savages with only a +2 bonus.
Rolled 3 (1d20)
>>32499
>>32518
Yeah I think the QM abandoned ship a long time ago.
The population of Bluc Emina is in turmoil. The royals of the north have declared Asuka to be the best girl, while the south supports Rei.
1-5 is reduced tensions
6-15 is increased tension and minor military research
15-20 is all out war with drastic build up of military research.
Rolled 10 (1d20)
>>32518
It's another disaster, and my lands have been invaded. Luckily my production is still high, so I'm granting myself a +3 bonus while still in my territory.
I attempt to drive them out again.
This is a neat idea.
I'm taking this land in the name of the Holy Empire of Gusolia.
Anybody up for some trade and alliances?
>>32611
The black land by the way
Rolled 15 (1d20)
>>32594
The savages avoid my war machines as best they can, but are slowly driven back. There are currently skirmishes all along the traditional border.
What I need is a decisive blow. I need to cut them off and destroy them, then the whole desert will bow before me.
>>32611
There should be a chart for nation stats if you scroll up high enough,
>>32645
What's the state of magic and technology in this world? Anything we come up with?
>>32675
Basically. You get 25 points to spread around the chart. The highest technology nations have been around steampunk level.
>>32611
Phoenicia would like to .(orange country)
Rolled 2 (1d3)
>>32629
The tribal confederacy retreats into the sands, and I pursue in my prototype airships. I'm rolling to see what I can do to them.
1: Confederacy remains intact
2: confederacy scatters, gain territories I was originally after, tribals still a potential threat
3: Confederacy surrounded and crushed, gain vast swaths of desert
>>32700
What does a culture meter mean?

Well, since the land is probably uninhabited due to being covered in snow/glaciers, it should be pretty easy to claim so 12 should probably work.
