Their ex-ridges, now great sinuous rifts, will fill to brimming (so yes, there's still an Atlantic! Or at least an Azorean Sea.)

The tribals had anticipated this, and the northern desert was defended. I lost a large contingent of subs to mines, and by the time I was forced to withdraw, a large confederacy of tribals had formed. Now they threaten to cut off the new colony from the home city.

Well, since the land is probably uninhabited due to being covered in snow/glaciers, it should be pretty easy to claim so 12 should probably work.
