An armor-clad city guard kicks you in the stomach. "Wake up, maggot. It's inspection time." Every day for the past twenty-three years of your life, the soldiers have burst into your little alley and taken whatever possesion you had recieved that day, whether it be a gold coin to a mouse you planned on eating. You aren't the only one, of course. thousands of peasants just like you deal with the scourge of the city guard every day.
But not for long. Just last week, at The Happy Hog, a man calling himself Deacon the Wicked, claimed he was planning a rebellion. Everyone thought he was just a drunk idiot, but every day since then, he's been preaching about how he simply needs twenty good men, and he can take the city from the menacing High Council.
The soldier snatches the two gold coins you were keeping in your palm. He begins to walk out the alley, and you shout at him, "Your mother's a whore, soldier!"
He kicks a rock at your head.
You get up and pat the dust off your simple, itchy clothes.

filled with mud and old belongings of Pan, the kind lady who owns a bakery next to your alley. You, Petyr, have lived here your entire life, and you've come to learn every nook and cranny of the small area.
>Pan's Bakery
The establishment belonging to a kind woman who gives you the occasional stale loaf of bread that's been sitting in the stands for a week. By looking through a small crack on the wall that is up against your alley, you can see that Pan is having sexual relations with a bank worker from the government building a few minutes away.
>The Angry Swordsman
A smithy owned by a crazy old man named Deacon the Wicked. He makes fine blades, but recently has been preaching about fighting back against the High Council who has been terrorizing the poor in that area for years.

A clandestine tavern where the locals drink and do merrymaking.

You make your way directly out of the alley. You can see the guard who just took your coins walking back to the government building. Your fists clench up and you prepare to go after him. As you get nearer and nearer, you suddenly hear a soothing voice tell you, "He's not worth it, Petey. Why don't I get you some bread, eh?"
Pan quickly runs into her store and grabs a loaf for you and hurries back.
"I'm fookin' tired of it, Pan. All they ever do is pick on us. Take our food, our money. Maybe this Deacon fellow has a point."
She hands you a stale loaf. You take it and smile. "Deacon's in the Hog, right now. Maybe you should go and talk to him."
"Aye. I'll do that." You take a bite and begin heading towards the hidden tavern.
Do you continue to talk to Deacon the Wicked, or do you change your mind and attack the guard who stole from you?

Swallowing your pride, you say goodbye to Pan and head into the alley across from yours. You can already hear the lute and drums playing from inside the Happy Hog. Everyone loves the Hog. In a place as hellish as Etharas, it's a good little chunk of paradise.
As you near the door, you nod towards the bouncer, Malkor. He returns a nod and opens the creaky wooden door. The music begins to roar. It is extremely loud in here, perhaps that will raise suspicions with the city guard. Who cares, though. You're here to speak with Deacon and be on your way.
Through the crowds of people, you can't see Deacon, but you do remember his three usual spots; the bar, the latrine, and the first room to the left upstairs.

You make your way upstairs. The smell of sex and ale hits you like a brick. The upstairs is a long hall that stretches back for about twenty meters. There are three rooms on each side of the wall and one at the end of the hall.
You know Deacon's room, which is the first one on the left. You approach it and knock on the door. Upon knocking, the door creaks open and you see a bunch of men standing around the room, all of them armed with blades. You see Deacon the Wicked making some sort of deal with a city guardsman. Being acquaintances, Deacon might tell you about this plan. Do you leave or approach the scandalous business?

You enter the room and sit yourself down in the corner. From what theyre saying, it seems like Deacon is paying off the guard to not be on duty that night. Deacon and his men are going to try and sneak into the government offices and steal some sort of documents.
One of the thugs bumps into you. "Hey. I don't know you."
