Well not really, he was created by wizard Bibbidi and the current Supreme Kai saw him the first time Buu and Bibbidi were commiting universal Genocide, and considering there was a supreme kai before the current one, the old guy, it's safe to assume Buu isn't more than a few centuries to a couple of millenium at most. Beerus existing does nothing to change how Buu is seen, it's ironically one of the few parts to the story that still fits despite new changes.

It was stated that Bibidi knew how to awaken Buu, but the Majin had been in a cycle of hibernation and destruction before that. Also, Bibidi lived 5,000,000 years ago. Not to mention Elder Supreme Kai says that the person who sealed him in the Z Sword was less powerful (or at least 'terrible') than Majin Buu, even though that was Beerus.
