you befriend an older fighter in chainmail, who informs you that most of your encounters are going to be with rival princes' armies, though sometimes you'll have in city encounters like when the prince confronts angry civilians.

speaking of, tomorrow the prince has a speech to give to the triklean rioters, and wants to test you out. you can bring along the fighter in case things get out of hand, but the prince won't give you the job until your magic is adequately showcased. do you bring him along?
