New Tribes Thread.

Last time we saw The Abbey Dwellers abandon their ideas of Zombie Christ ion favor of a more traditional view of god. Then The Forest Men managed to kill their very first demon. And while they were all at it, The Kings enslaved a neighboring tribe at The Ski Lodge on the mountain they're settled near.

This time around The Map has expanded to the first new section. The Kings have traveled north enough to stumble into new territory, that of The Dust Region. This land was once prosperous farm land that fed the local populace with its bounty, but after the bombs fell it was left abandon, and the layers of tilled dirt left sedentary and without water lead to the land drying up and forming into a new Dust Bowl area.

Expect Dust Storms in this region to be common, and sometimes they may even travel south far enough to burden the people of The Crater all the same.

Rules of play:
>Every Tribe needs at least one player.
>Every turn is a week in-game. Some things such as population growth may not reflect this for the sake of game mechanics.
>You need a name.
>Every turn you get two special actions, those may either be discovering a new technology, or developing a new cultural trait.
>You are allowed to have many normal actions such as building, scouting, combat, diplomacy, or most physical things and their success will depend on things such as available tech, and amount of population assigned to performing that action.

Damn, messed up on the whole title thing.
This is "Apocalypse Tribes Evo 2"

---

The Forest Men discover the secrets of Cog Working after some experimentation with the axles of broken down vehicles from The Scrapyard. Soon after they then develop mud bricks to assist in breaking down some of the metals they gather from these scrapped cars, meaning that they now have enough of a metal working infrastructure to start forging iron, though higher level metals such as steel with require even more workmanship on part of the forge workers.

The Tribesmen then go out to start a new outpost near The Southern Bridge, allowing them rather immediate access to The Scrap Yard, and a close trade relation with The Smileys of Wal whenever they pass by, which they do often on their way down into The South Facing Road into The Dead Forest.

The area around the strung up demon corpse seems to be fine at the moment, though the corpse has began to start rotting through the week. It seems that the demon warding may have worked, as they've yet to see any more pop out of the woodwork to try and face them just yet.

The Kings have shut down their lead mining for the moment, though they do have access to it whenever they may wish to start digging it out again.

The Tribesmen spend their time developing bows and leather as well, having plenty of leather on their side in general with all the unicorns they end out hunting in the wild as well as domesticate.

The more exciting part of their week though comes as they send a group northwards to discover The Dust Lands that lays just above King Territory. The land there is severely dry, and it seems that the earth cracks beneath the feet of the people who walk into its depths. in the grand expanse of heated wasteland though there is one beacon of hope in the distance for water. It's the likes of a single settlement that stands with a wall made of scrap metal surrounding a collection of homes that seem to be mostly built out of just as low quality metals as the wall. That is, all save for one building in the middle that denotes what seems to be a palace-like structure, and upon a period of scouting from a nearby hill, it seems that the ruler of the city lives there. A single man that parades himself about like a king, and controls a ground water pump within the confines of his own courtyard, the same that all the wasteland peasants rely on to drink and water their thirsty crops.

The Scouts return with their findings of this apparent water tyrant.

The Abbey Dwellers spend their time inventing a tool that can assist in them dismantling the various scrap sources of The Wasteland, and come up with the idea of a wrench. They use this to unscrew brass piping from the basements of old suburban homes and disassemble what part of scrapped cars that they can find. The Iron they pull up is rusted and vastly low quality, and even as The Dwellers do have a forge to melt it in, they're lacking a powerful enough fuel source to keep their forge running hot enough to melt iron. Their fuel balls made of reed simply don't seem up to snuff with the demands of the forge. They will need something like coal, abundant charcoal, or propane.

The Dwellers adopt the idea that their purpose is to convert the others of the wasteland to the word of god, and as they adopt this concept they soon enough travel to The City of Wal to start spreading their faith. As they come upon the large building that makes up Wal, many of The Dwellers are in awe of its works, the entire front portion of the base that used to be a parking lot is now a grand bazaar that hosts merchants from all around the wasteland, languages and clothing that The Dwellers have never seen seeming to decorate every person they come across in one way or another.

They find The Smileys guarding The Area and they remain as friendly as ever, accepting the gifts and allowing The Missionaries to properly preach their words to the visitors. There are some that are taking a liking to the idea of The Christian God from the merchants that speak English, those some of which have gathered in listening as a missionary reads passages from The Bible, albeit their faith preaching is rather untrained, leaving them to have very little defense over theocratic debate that a passerby or two bring up.

It doesn't seem that The Dwellers have any luck converting The Marters themselves though, and when questioned about it they seem to simply say that the flow of trade is evidence of their god's might, and from their point of view their god is quite stronger than any other divine that sends their people to buy goods from The Smileys. They worship The Face of Trade, the grand smiling depiction that decorates their faces. They wear The Masks so that all will know they are his children, and they bring goods for barter.

Tech:
>Canoes. Carved from logs to help transport people and goods down the river.
>Scale Mail. Using the iron to make a new kind of armor for the Wardens.

Actions:
>Build Watermill to help forge melt metals in Camp
>Contruct wall around Outpost to allow for some growth. No wall needed next to river
>Rangers will use leather armor now that the Wardens have metal
>Another 30 spears to be made for the population growing
>Using new Canoes a group of 15 armed tribesfolk will go North

Military:
>Rangers follow a Marter trade caravan through the Dead Forest. If they dislike it then we can offer gin and extra protection from Demons.
>Wardens train in Javelins and Spear (1 dot of Range and Melee)

Research:
>Theology/Rhetoric/Winning Arguments
>Charcoal
Actions:
>Build a Watchtower in Lake Stead
>Dig a moat around the Abbey
>Send Missionaries to meet up with a Marter caravan to preach and protect travelers
>Make 10 copies of the Bible

ONE MORE THING

Military:
>Send the Angels to train in Wal by pickpocketing outwardly corrupt and evil men
>>
>>1680971
Research: Terror tactics, intimidating suits and whatnot.
Research: Horse Archery and tactics.
Action: Make a small horse archer unit, armed with bows, ski pikes, and one or two nets per person.
Action: Make a small patrol, who will walk around a few miles outside of the camp and scare off people who come to close.
Action: Send some horse archer lads and some patrol boys to ambush the little villa people while they come to collect the dog people, then capture the rest of the dog people. Killing is allowed only when needed.
Action: A group of second born and a good bit of slaves go up to the ski lodge to collect tree saplings and replant them near the camp, hoping to sprout a small forest after a while.

I disagree with this just because they are evil doesn't mean we as good Christian have the right to steal from them.
>Send the Angels to train by having them attempt to pickpocket Abbey citizens, telling them they have pickpocketed them and giving back their items if they succed.
Also research can be summed up to "Christian apologetics"
