On a side note, how much post-processing are you doing on your photos?

Thanks anon, that means a lot to me!
>On a side note, how much post-processing are you doing on your photos?
A whole lot! It's insane how much of a time sink the post-processing of this game is. I think I'm going to include some more of the curved pieces I use for trees in my next Bricklink order, because not having to spend an additional five or ten minutes positioning the trees just right to cover all the background would be very helpful.
Thanks for playing, everybody! I have to go sleep for a while, but I will be back tomorrow and we can keep going!

"Your daughters seem clever enough. They will be fine for the moment, but for now I require someone who knows this land. I shall be riding before first light - how many miles of rough country separate this road from the next?"
"A score, perhaps two - travel is difficult, the land swells and the valleys are craggy - wait, where are you going?"

"But- what of the soldiers?"
"The soldiers' quarrel is with me. When I leave, they should treat your inn fairly, or as fairly as they would."

"Save your gratitude, good woman. Were it not for them, I would be facing a full meal and a warm bed instead of the twilight road."
That's it for this episode, so thank you to everyone for playing! I had some more stuff built but I was going to have to quit a little early tonight so this seemed like the best place to stop. I'm really enjoying this setting so I will definitely be revisiting it in the future.
Hope everybody had fun!

Hard to see, but the soldier's torso is rotated 90 degrees from his legs. I think I'm going to use that method more often to show a twisting waist.
This game is ridiculously time-consuming in post-production because the artificial day-for-night method I've got going on is by no means foolproof and takes a lot of tweaking. I have the easiest time when a soldier is on-screen because the red of his uniform gives my Photoshop tools some grip. Otherwise, I have to use one of three methods of getting the muddied original file to look good enough for me to be satisfied with it, and all three are multiple steps and take a lot of eyeballing and adjusting.
The fog effect only takes a couple seconds.

Thanks, LQ! It's been a fun ride with the highwayman.
