Achieving enlightenment in Buddhism is so easy it's laughable. Just don't give a fuck about literally anything and you'll reach that level. That's exactly what one of the Buddhas did.

Buddhism is about extreme introspection and finding peace within yourself. While separating yourself from material affairs can get you there, it is by no means the fast pass to achieve nirvana.
