"Mother!"
"Mother!"
"Lily! Oh, my darling child-"
"Lily, what happened? You're covered in blood!"
"The blood is not hers. You may wish to keep her out of sight until the Governor's procurer has departed."
"The Governor's pro- did he... was she..."
"She seems unharmed."
"Stranger, your arm!"
"My arm is fine. Just a wolfbite."
"T'weren't no wolf, mother! It was a monster, a terrible monster!"
"Wolfbite? Looks more like the bite of a bear-"
"Where is that soldier who was with the Governor's procurer?"
"Dead. From the wolf, likely."
"Dead-?!"
"Yes, but the Governor's procurer is in no shape to walk, if he even still breathes. They're down in the glen, by that old haywagon."
"Oh, this is terrible! "
"You should come to no harm, unless-"
"Listen - up the road!"
[many rapid hoofbeats]
"...more of the King's soldiers arrive."

"Who is the owner of this inn?"
"I am, sir-"
"Where has happened here? Where is the Governor's procurer?"
"There was a wolf, sir-"
"A wolf? What does that have to do with-"
"The Governor's procurer went down to that glen with a soldier, sir, and a wolf attacked them there."
[wolf howling noise]
"Did you hear that?"
"It came from over there-"
"No, it was over there-"
"Take the others and go look at that glen. Find the Governor's procurer."
"Yes, sir, at once!!"
"We are commandeering your inn, good woman."
"My inn, sir? But- why?"
"Yours is not to ask questions, good woman."
'Yes, sir, I am very sorry, sir-"
"Enough! Go and ready two of your rooms."
"There will be a carriage arriving soon, with a young lady and the body of her father. They were waylaid on the road by a highwayman. You are to see that she is well provided-for."

Brothers, be sober and sharp-eyed, for your Adversary the Devil goes round like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
"I speak the truth, "Brother". I was bitten by a wolf."
"That is no ordinary wolf bite."
"No, it is not. A scream drew me from that very table two hours past, the daughter of the innkeeper. The Governor's procurer and a soldier traveling alone tried to rape her when they were attacked by it. I came across them afterward but the girl had fled into the woods, and so I followed. When I came upon her I saw it, and you are very much correct, Brother. It was no ordinary wolf. It was the size of a lion, nearly the size of my horse. Its eyes held a devilish light in them, for it seemed to be toying with the girl, as a cat would a mouse. We fought, and together the girl and I slew the beast."
"Impossible! If this beast is the great terror we fear it to be, no earthly power may slay it!"
"Then your fears are mislaid, for we slew it, there in the woods, not an hour since."
"Perhaps we should speak more with him, Brother."
"I think-"

"They didn't say, exactly, but I heard a little. Some kind of weapon."
[silence, washing noises]
[whispering]
"They say a war is coming, sir. A war against the King. Against the King's soldiers. For all the things they do to... to us."
[washing noises]
"Sir? I said-"
"I heard you. And you are wrong."
"Sir?"
"War is not coming."
"The war has already begun."

"Is that you, stranger? I heard a gunshot!"
"Your hearing works. It was either myself or him. Whatever you have to say, make it brief. I ride before four o' the clock."
"We do not approve of killing soldiers!"
"I do not approve of getting shot by them. Talk."
"We are the last of an order devoted to preserving the sanctity of this world."
"A lofty goal."
"Do not mock Brother Zachariason!"
"He mocks out of ignorance, Brother Zebediah. Know this, stranger - that thing you fought in the woods was not a creature of this world. It was led here, as a hound's nose leads it to the afterbirth of a calf."
"Or the slaughter of a bull."
"Comforting thought. And what led it here?"
"That is what we have come here seeking. There are those who foolishly believe that they can control the forces of other worlds. They say the wild men who once lived in these woods trafficked in those wicked trades. Of all the things that may turn their black attentions to this earth, that devilish wolf which savaged you heralds the imminence of only one thing."
"What thing?"
"The Culler."
"In these parts game is plenty. I killed its wolf, it will find little competition for rabbits."
"The Culler preys not on game, stranger, but on the flesh of man. In ancient days it was loosed on earth and we suffered greatly for its hunger. It ravaged whole nations, devoured their populations whole, a ceaseless maw that could never be sated. The valleys ran red with blood, stranger, the air too thick with ichor for the vultures to alight. Bones, mountains of them, cracked and snapped, stripped clean of flesh, gouged with scars from its awful teeth. An endless, terrible hunger. It is coming, stranger, and if we do not prevent its arrival, this earth will become once again its slaughtering-pit."
"And what leads it here?"
"There is a method of luring it here with blood."
"Then why has it not already arrived? This world is soaked in blood from what I have seen of it."
"There is said to be a method of luring it here, a dark and blasphemous rite that requires a-"
"Eeee-!"
"Enough talking, the both of you. This seditious little inn and everyone in it is under arrest, by right of the King."

Fantastic storytelling! Thanks for hosting, LQ.
That's it for tonight, so thanks for playing! This was kind of a busy weekend outside of the baseplate and this game in particular is really energy-intensive, so thanks for sticking around! Hope you all had fun!
I'll be gone this coming weekend but I'll hopefully be able to get in at least one more game in July. If you want to make sure you don't miss it, be sure to follow me on Twitter:
@EndmanOfFuturon
Sometime in the future these characters will be up on the wiki:
http://legoquest.wikia.com/wiki/Lego_Quest_Wiki
And this episode and the first one in this series are both archived on suptg along with most everything else from the last seven or so years:

Thanks for playing anon! This board is a lot less populated than /tg/ so I'm really grateful to have players!

>>1655804
Yeah, most of my professional life is taking pictures, writing, and making graphic designs like this logo I made on Thursday. I love my job because it's all the stuff I already liked to do in my free time.
>>1655814
Thanks anon! I really love hearing that people had fun!
>>1656361
No, unfortunarely, but the Collectable Minifig (CMF) series puts out a ton of new minifig accessories every year, so I expect some kind of Carnivale-style mask before too much longer.
Lego General already saw this but a few weeks ago the thread challenge was to make an original space faction.
>Once a peaceful collection of civilian botanists in Classic Space, their civilization was destroyed by a passing Blacktron armada. Fleeing the ruins of their homeworld in hastily-constructed greenhouse ships, they used their advanced science to develop plants that produced 500 times as much oxygen as normal! Eco-Tron vehicles are powered not by dark matter or crude nuclear fusion, but the very breath of life itself!
Their gimmick is that every set comes with a little plant under glass.
>>1658017
That's pretty neat, did you make any models other than that buggy for it?
>>1658731
>That's pretty neat, did you make any models other than that buggy for it?
Thanks anon!
I only made this one because the challenge was only valid for that thread, but now that Eco-Tron has a logo of their own I might make some more stuff for it in the future.
Here's the buggy without the logo in the way.
Better shot of the plant
